Membership Info 2024:

    Green name: confirmed active for 2024.
    Black name: inactive 2024. Name may be passed to a new member. If the old member returns, that person needs to choose a new name.

    -(V) Full Member Honor for both gaming and passing the live entry Tolkien test over the LotR books. They might also contribute to the Tolkien Site, especially with entries that aid them in researching their own character names to aid role-play.
    -(Valar) Full Member, plus able to give entry tests. This title is given to both Maia and Vala Honor members, both able to give entry tests for Full Members.
Maia Honor can give entry tests and bring people into the guild by themselves and are tested LotR experts;
Vala Honor includes Maia Honor with the addition of being tested Sil experts and a fanatic for the guild; Vala Honor can also give Maia (LotR) and Vala (Sil) tests and serve on the Council at least for a while.
    -(MoH) LotR has been at least read to them, sponsored by a parent or guardian, remains only as long as the sponsor does, has not yet reached the age of 18.
    -(T) Tolkien member, one whose Honor title is due to contributing to the Tolkien Site, but who is not currently one of our gamers. These contributors are now listed in the more stable Credits section rather than here, which is now for those who are gamers and can also contribute to the Tolkien Site. A T member does not have to pass the LotR test, although those who were at one time Full Members did so. A T member does not go "inactive" as long as the contribution to the site remains.
    -(init). Initiate who games with us and was expected to read the books. This rank is no longer continued in the overall guild except as grandfathered, as these folks tend not to follow through on reading the LotR.
    Inactive members retain the name until dropped, usually happening when the name is given to a new active recruit, but that inactive member may rejoin with a new name. The Inactive table is below the Active one.
