Arien joined as Tolkien-only member Finduilas-(T) on June 2, 2006 with two text entries at once: a humor piece "Belfalas" under "Middle-earth Vacation Spots", and her short story listed here, "Errand of Fate".
She moved on to Full Member status as Finduilas-(V), then earned her promotion to Maiar Honor Arien-(Valar).
Arien served for a time as European World of WarCraft branch leader for the Valar Guild. She is a regular at the Sunday meetings and sometimes chairs. She has contributed to the Tolkien Site with articles, humor, and poetry. She games and aids as an officer, or has done so over the years in various of the kin branches. She participates as "Frali", a regular in the guild's ongoing forum story. She has also brought in new members to the overall guild.

    Short story
Written for the 22nd Anniversary of the Valar Guild.
    Author's Note:
"It is set ten years before Bilbo's farewell party.
Characters involved are Merry, Pippin, Frodo, own character Haldured, and an unnamed ranger.
Underlying references are Aragorn's report about the rangers unseen and little rewards of the rangers' task in the shire and Merry's remark at Crickhollow about the Old Forest saying "Frodo has been in there once a long time ago". .. Well this is the one time :)"

Musings
    October 6, 2023
    Author's Note:
This story is slightly different in style and type than I have written before. It was inspired by several things actually. Remember the passage of the Fellowship through Eregion when Aragorn mentioned that the memory of the Elves still lingered there and there was an wholesome air about it? Also there is a song i like very much that were the memories of an oak tree, so I wondered what a mallorn tree would or could remember in a slowly fading Lothlorien after the Elves had left Middle-earth?
