This is the way it works:

    Eonwe began the story and emails the next person to write the next part. The list for the next person is random and contact will be made by email from Eonwe, preference given to volunteers. (Volunteer now!) Each person is given one week to send in his entry. That entry will be posted to this web page by Varda .
    Contributions should be between 200 and 700 words in length.
    Contributors should not be afraid to stop in mid-sentence :} In fact, it's a good idea if they do. It might help the next contributor get a good start on the next part of the story.
    Try to keep the story realistically within the bounds of Tolkien's world. For example, don't have 3 Mortal Men ploughing through an army of Balrogs, Elves riding on dragons, or a Dwarf Lord killing Morgoth.

Notes on Story-writing:

The basic parts of a story are as follows: Introduction, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, Resolution. (Most of you should know this, but just in case I thought I’d mention it.) On occasion, there are slight deviations/ additions, where there is a mini-climax, like at the end of the LotR, where we find all is not well in the Shire, it is dealt with (Climax) and everything returns to “normal” (final resolution). Let’s not have too many of those :}
