Synopsis:
The first part, written by Eonwë, introduced the Avar
(singular of Avari) Meneltir and his brother Drondin. It told of the
aftermath of their attack on a group of orcs. It left off as Meneltir
prepared to lead his hunting party to follow the orcs who escaped their ambush.
Part 2, written by Irmo (fka Salmar) told of the end of
the orc party and introduced a sister to Meneltir and Drondin, Telinde.
Introduced as well were a group of Men, the Secondborn, who were still new
in Arda. Mention is made of Nuin, father of Meneltir and his siblings,
who traveled east to Cuivienen some time ago to seek counsel of Tuvo….
