The stories are posted here chronologically in the
order in which they happened, rather than in which they were written
unlike most sites.
This series is mostly about Elladan and Elrohir with
some stories about their friend Legolas, sister Arwen, adopted brother Aragorn and the characters
associated with them such as Elrond and Thranduil.
Drabble (100 word challenge form) original dates are
uncertain, starting at 2004 and some yearly since.
The AU's [Alternate Universe] for these stories:
Arwen is born 6 years after
Legolas, but she is only 11 years younger than the twins rather than
111. Legolas is 5 years younger than the twins. This allows the
four to grow up together. Thus Arwen at 1 would mean Legolas is 7 and the twins 12.
Gilraen dies early.
Bio on "Stories of Arda" by Jay of Lasgalen:
I've been a Tolkien fan since I was about 14
(many years ago now!) and have to confess that Legolas was always my
favourite character. Since I've been writing fanfiction, Elladan and
Elrohir seem to have taken his place - though I still write about
Legolas and good!Thranduil. I hate stories where he is evil and
abusive, and always write him as a loving father.
I used to re-read the books about once a year, but
that stopped a few years ago, mainly due to time constraints. The films
rekindled my interest, and confirmed my opinion that Legolas is still
the best! However, I was bitterly disappointed that PJ left Elladan and
Elrohir out of the films. They, or Legolas (or all three) feature in
all my stories.
I'm English, and live in Devon. I'm married, with
two children (21 & 18), one dog and one cat.

Time to update this bio. I had such withdrawal
symptoms when I
finished my first story I immediately started planning others - I've
now finished several stories, some long, some short, some very short
one chapter efforts. I'm probably older than most on this site -
certainly old enough to know better! (45, if you must know).
I'm
English, live in Devon, and have one husband, two teenage children
(Stephen, 20 and Anne,18), one dog (an Irish setter) and one cat
(variegated).
My stories are based far more on Tolkien's books,
rather than the films (though they're wonderful) - I first read LOTR at
about 14, (over30 years ago) and had a crush on Legolas even then. His
appearance in the film makes things even better!
My favourite
characters are the twins Elladan and Elrohir- which has to be down to
fan fiction, since Tolkien said so little about them. They, or Legolas
(or all three) feature in all my stories.
I'd like to recommend a wonderful fic site, 'Stories

"This is the back story to my drabble 'A
Brother's Prayer'. Elladan and
Elrohir arrive in Lasgalen for what should be an uneventful visit, but
Elrohir is bitten by a deadly spider. The story is set around the year
2000 Third Age.
"The ‘Luithaduin’ is the Enchanted River. Elrohir’s
tale of woes at the
beginning of this chapter [1] are all detailed in ‘With Friends Like
These’
or ‘Mid Winter’s Eve’."
"The effects of the spider poison are based mostly
on descriptions of
the bite of the Australian funnel-web spider (but not entirely).
They
are aggressive, and the venom is fast-acting – but not as deadly as the
gorliante. As we only developed antidotes in the 1980’s,
I do
not think elves would have had the technology to do so – so there is no
cure! As with most spiders, the gorliante female is larger
(and deadlier) than the male."

Rivendell, Aragorn and Arwen have two children.
Alternate endings: one that follows JRRT canon and
one AU (Alternate Universe) non-canon with the Appendices to make a
point. Notice given at chapter five as the divergence is at chapter 6.

consider the choice of the half-elven.
"I do not know the twins’
choice, but I tend to think that they chose immortality. Whatever
the
decision, I think they chose the same fate – I cannot imagine
them
being sundered as Elrond and Elros were. "
(V): According to the books, the twins
did not go with Elrond on the ship to Valinor as was required, but
remained together in lordship at Rivendell. Celeborn later came to stay
with them there before going on to Valinor himself, but it is not
recorded that the twins made any attempt to go with him or at any later
time. I tend to think they chose to remain on Middle-earth, but
apparently they did indeed refuse to be sundered.

believe that they both sailed - but began thinking, 'what if they did
