"Lessons of Life" is the name of Elwing's series
of Middle-earth stories, mostly using the Aragorn and Legolas
friendship line. The stories are presented here according to which
happened first, rather than which is written first. Her own
description of the series is:
"Lessons of Life is to be short stories from my
strange imagination; may take place during/outside LotR time period;
mainly gap fillers, but sometimes may be AU - all intended to
entertain."

Author's note: "I got an idea for a LotR story a
few days before Earth day; hoped to have it ready by then, but nope.
Then I thought I might be finished by Arbor Day...nope again.
Then I tried to get done by end of that month (April)...I almost
made that deadline!
Anyway, as they also say: Earth Day, Every Day. So it's still
timely."
