Before-meeting
arpharazonv: Aiya!
Varda Valar: Yes! You made it. :-)
arpharazonv: I did!
perseid28: Aiya!
Varda Valar: heh, guess I started the invites a bit early, but great to see you!
Varda Valar: I'll try stirring up some folks from LotRO
Varda Valar: Any sign of Arien or Fladrif?
arpharazonv: Arien poked, but she's not in any game, so might be afk.
arpharazonv: Fladrif not been around in a week.
arpharazonv: Ah, Arien responded :)
Varda Valar: No one on in LotRO at the moment, Dis and Nar were on earlier.
Varda Valar: Aiya Eonwe!
Eonwe Valar: Heya :}
arpharazonv: Aiya!
Varda Valar: Grats for making it in. :-)
Eonwe Valar: Thanks :} Good to be here :}
Varda Valar: We just had a question about how we might say rune-keeper in Quenya.  :-)
Eonwe Valar: Hmm, interesting question.
arpharazonv: Aiya Arien!
Arien V: Aiya Eonwe and Varda and Lenwe and Phari :-D
Arien V: how are you all?
Varda Valar: Aiya Sunshine ;-)
Varda Valar: Pulling out of LotRO
Arien V: ah right :-)
arpharazonv: Doing well, just doing some archeology in WoW.
Arien V: very well :-)
Eonwe Valar: Heya Arien :} Doing well, glad to be here :}
perseid28: Aiya Arien!
Arien V: nice to see you tonight :-)
Arien V: hey hey Lenwe :-)
Eonwe Valar: I'm rusty on my Quenya, so I don't have a good off-the-cuff answer for what "rune-keeper" would be.
Varda Valar: Be fun to make up some tries at that for the profession name in LotRO.  :-)
arpharazonv: Linguistics isn't my strong point either :)

Varda Valar: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
Varda Valar: Membership:
Varda Valar: We have some folks enjoying the Fourth of July weekend, and the movie is out for Independence Day, for the world vs the aliens.
Varda Valar: In great membership news, Eonwe made it in for the meeting. :-)
Varda Valar: We've missed you and are tickled to have you back
Varda Valar: Any membership news from the gang here?
Eonwe Valar: Glad I could make it :}
Eonwe Valar: Been too long :}
Varda Valar: You made it as soon as you could. And thanks for your help with Phar when you were able.

Varda Valar: Web:
arpharazonv: Ah yes :)
Varda Valar: We have new art from the Bohemian Weasel-T that might make you smile.
Varda Valar: Arien, pardon, go ahead.
Varda Valar: She's in EVE Online at the moment, should be done with the mission shortly.
Varda Valar: Here's your sneak preview of art that should be going on it's proper page soon for Thranduil.
Varda Valar: http://valarguild.org/varda/Tolkien/encyc/art/gallery/BohemianWeasel/characters/Thranduil/ThranduilEnthroned.jpg
arpharazonv: I like how comfortably smug he looks.
arpharazonv: "This is my throne, and nobody's taking it away from me."
Varda Valar: :-)
Varda Valar: Here's the Weasel's commenting:

Varda Valar: Finished: Thranduil upon his throne,
Acrylics, gold leaf, tiny red crystals (in the crown), and sass: 8.3x11.5"
In his crown alone there's so much gold leaf that dragons are gathering outside my studio. Though they're poor appreciators of art, they just sit on it.
Varda Valar: Other comments she made:
Varda Valar: Oh he's enormously pleased. That's why he needs such a big throne, so he can fit his satisfaction on it
Varda Valar: He's an immortal king with permanently perfect hair, yeah he's pretty happy with life
Arien V: he looks very self satisfied and relaxed there ^^
Varda Valar: /endquotes

arpharazonv: hehe
Varda Valar: Also on the web,
Varda Valar: Eonwe has been up to his usual hard work on the Games Site, with news.
top

Varda Valar: Gaming News:
Varda Valar: First mentioning LotRO.
Varda Valar: Update 18.2 is coming out July 5, delayed to fix bugs before it comes out. Thank you, devs!
Varda Valar: July 5, servers will go down from around 8 a.m. through noon for Update 18.2. Patch notes should be available during the down time.

Varda Valar: For the Games Site news, we have Eonwe right here.  :-)
Varda Valar: Fire when ready, Eonwe :-)
Eonwe Valar: Thanks :}

Eonwe Valar: World of Warcraft:
Eonwe Valar: The pre-expansion lore inundation begins with a new comic: World of Warcraft: Legion #1—Magni: "Fault Lines".
Eonwe Valar: As with many other things, Draenor Challenge modes end with the next expansion. If you are trying to get it done, you have until the pre-expansion patch.
arpharazonv: Yessss. Lore. I like lore. I really hope there's more of those.
Eonwe Valar: Check out the PvP Developer Q & A and look forward to next week's covering artifacts and quests.
Eonwe Valar: See the new blog on the quest line featuring Maximillian of Northshire.
arpharazonv: It's a good comic too. Not too long, but lore-heavy.
Eonwe Valar: See what's going on This Month in WoW.

Eonwe Valar: Starcraft 2:
Eonwe Valar: There's a blog out discussing the ladder revamp coming with patch 3.4.

Eonwe Valar: Heroes of the Storm:
Eonwe Valar: A new balance patch is out this week.
Eonwe Valar: See what's in development.

Eonwe Valar: Overwatch:
Eonwe Valar: A new blog is out: Welcome to Competitive Play.
Eonwe Valar: And that's everything from the Games Site :}
Varda Valar: Thanks, Eonwe!

Varda Valar: Arien has some news on EVE Online for us.
Arien V: thank you Varda :-)
Arien V: there have been interesting additions in Eve over the last few weeks, I ll just tell you the three that stood out for me that are interesting for pve players like me
Arien V: first is the incoming of the citadels
Arien V: they are like stations constructed by corporations you can place freely anywhere in the Eve Universe called New Eden
arpharazonv: Floating fortresses?
Arien V: the Citadels repair once you are undocked from the hangars ,
Arien V: yes indeed :-)
arpharazonv: Always fun.
Arien V: the Corporations have to defend them if they are attacked but they do have their own defense systems and weapons and can be controlled like a ship
Arien V: okay that is one main feature
Arien V: and last week they introducede these "Events" like the seasons in Diablo 3
Arien V: they set us goals .. destroy a certain number of npc sites , mine ore and get currency for it
Arien V: and as rewards you can get Blueprints, ships .. chest with rewards i dont know what they look like yet
Arien V: they are aimed at the main pirate npc factions and you get points for it . After a target of points is reached the players get a chest with rewards
Arien V: New Ships have been released as well
Arien V: so a lot to go for , and these "seadsons" last about 40 days
Arien V: https://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/eve-online-news/june-release-118.6-has-been-released
Arien V: there is the official link with the more professional details and notes about the citadels can be found here
Arien V: there is the trailer for it on you tube#
Arien V: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bjTrPutt4k
Arien V: https://community.eveonline.com/news/patch-notes/patch-notes-for-eve-online-citadel?_ga=1.123810314.1433004746.1464089094
Arien V: there are the patchnotes for it .. sorry had to look for it first
Arien V: that's it from there from me :-)
Varda Valar: Thank you, Arien. :-)

Varda Valar: Ar-Pharazon the Golden has something for us.
arpharazonv: Rumors predict the WoW pre-expansion patch at July 19th. Sources appear to have reliable history, and it's supposedly leaked from blizzard, so it seems rather likely.
arpharazonv: If you have stuff to do before patch hits - especially challenge modes and brawler's guild - make sure to get them done before that time!
arpharazonv: Because those will go away at that time.
arpharazonv: 2 and a half weeks remaining :)
arpharazonv: Or well, 2 and a bit.
arpharazonv: Official announcement should soon follow!
arpharazonv: And that's my tidbit :)
Varda Valar: Thank you, Phar :-)
Varda Valar: People we've seen this week that the others might not have. Eonwe, you saw a couple in WoW?
Eonwe Valar: Aye, I saw Nob and Elwing.
Varda Valar: Nice. Elwing also showed up in LotRO.
Eonwe Valar: Got to speak with Nob for a few minutes, but didn't get a resposne from Elwing. She must've been having too much fun :}
Eonwe Valar: *response
Varda Valar: She doesn't always read the chat. :-)

Varda Valar: For LotRO, in the last seven days we've had these on:
Gorlim
Gil-galad
Varda
Elwing
Lenwe
Elladan
Marigold
Fangorn
Arien
Dis
Morwe
Falco
Nar

Varda Valar: Tricky being on at the same time, but we're there!
arpharazonv: In no particular order?
Varda Valar: That time I started from 7 days back and put it in. A bunch show a lot of times, but that's not reflected here.
Varda Valar: Usually I start the other direction. :-)
Arien V: :-)
Arien V: unfortunatly i still got trouble with mounted combat .. never can do it for a long time or sometimes have to stop playing lotro for bit after before i can go back to it
Varda Valar: The vertigo problem?
Varda Valar: Some seem helped by pulling back or to another angle on the camera
Arien V: but i ll get there eventually .. so the Guardian is 80 now i believe :-) but i d wish there d be options for mounted combat, aye Varda
Arien V: yeah i usually zoom quite out
Varda Valar: You can do a lot of the combat vs riders from the ground
Varda Valar: and run them into water to dismount them. :-)
Arien V: true i can do that ^^ but sometimes water is far away
perseid28: I try not to keep going in circles the same direction, but sometimes it's hard not to, and I get a headache
Varda Valar: A number of folk prefer to hit them from the ground in any case.
Varda Valar: Just get off the horse. :-)
Arien V: if you are ranged .. aye
arpharazonv: Spears are always good against horsemen *nods*
Varda Valar: Ranged helps a lot
Varda Valar: What class is giving you problems?
perseid28: For my RK, I seem to be a lot squishier unmounted, or at least I am defeated more often unmounted vs mounted
perseid28: when facing mounted foes
Varda Valar: RK is the glass cannon healer, aye.
Varda Valar: Really helps to have a buddy there. My rk frequently wishes for a helper.
top

Tolkien:
Varda Valar: Speaking of rk's, has anyone come up with a Quenya name for one?
Varda Valar: rune could be any of the rune systems
perseid28: tanks are very nice companions to have, aye
Varda Valar: keeper, speaker?
arpharazonv: keeper....
arpharazonv: holder, caretaker, possessor?
Eonwe Valar: Rune-bearer?
arpharazonv: that works
Varda Valar: sounds like it could work
Varda Valar: As Lenwe mentioned, certa means rune
Eonwe Valar: Certacolindo or something similar if my rusty memory recalls correctly would be something along the lines.
Varda Valar: could be cirtë.
Varda Valar: Aye, colindo means bearer, that works
Arien V: Cirtecolindo
Arien V: i like that :-)
perseid28: sounds good to me!
Varda Valar: Keeping safe is mando
Eonwe Valar: Varda beat me to it, hehe.
arpharazonv: Mandocirte?
Eonwe Valar: (Skimming over Beren's Wordlist)
arpharazonv: Sounds like a musical instrument.
Varda Valar: :-)
Varda Valar: speak quet- or quente for say, talk
Varda Valar: Same ;-)
Varda Valar: The word list is on our site under Languages
perseid28: how does one change mando to mean "custodian"?
Varda Valar: http://valarguild.org/varda/Tolkien/encyc/lang/tranQ/translations/BerensQ/wordlist.html
Varda Valar: For some quick grammar help, try the bottom of Irmo's:
Varda Valar: http://valarguild.org/varda/Tolkien/encyc/lang/IrmoElvish.htm
Varda Valar: also on our language site, but has some grelvish in it for ease. These were used a lot in our DAoC branch back in the day.
Varda Valar: We used to use more Quenya before LotRO, where Sindarin tends to be more natural.
Varda Valar: We used Quenya because we are the Valar Guild, seemed to fit. LotR elves used Sindarin mainly, because of Thingol's decree.
Varda Valar: So we see Sindarin used in the LotRO game mostly.
Varda Valar: For detail and purity, Ardalambion and Hisweloke are really good.
Varda Valar: and Beren's Lore Book
Varda Valar: Here's our language page with links to places in the site:
Varda Valar: http://valarguild.org/varda/Tolkien/encyc/lang/TolkienLangs.htm'
Varda Valar: including Orcish.
Eonwe Valar: The best I can guess right now for "custodian" => "one who has custody (of something)" based on the Lorebook would be something alother the lines of mandoindo (male) or mandoindë (female)
Varda Valar: Black Speech, really.
Varda Valar: Ahh, thanks, Eonwe.
arpharazonv: It'd be so nice to have a conversation in black speech, but there just doesn't seem to be enough of it.
Varda Valar: You can see how Mandos, the place where the departed fear (souls) go, works with this, plus it's being another name for Namo.
Eonwe Valar: I don't see the agental ending stripping the root of any vowels, so that's my guess without further research.
Varda Valar: Phar, true of all the languages. Guess we could call it grunting, monosyllabic
Varda Valar: Orcs tended to use different versions, so when they were together in any number they tended to use Common.
Varda Valar: That didn't sit well with Sauron who wanted his own language to dominate, but it was more efficient so it was allowed.
arpharazonv: Note to Sauron: If you're gonna make a language.. have more words.
Varda Valar: Right!
Varda Valar: We may not have a very full list handy either. Surely there were more in use.
Eonwe Valar: Sure, more words can help, but they're utterly useless without meaning, unless you just want everything to translate to "Sauron is cool" :}
Varda Valar: Trying to talk in Khuzdul is even worse, so close with their words.
Varda Valar: Sauron would be down with that.
Varda Valar: Another comment a character made was that most of the language was repetitious, unlovely, full of ugliness and cruelty.
arpharazonv: Khuzdul or Orcish?
Varda Valar: JRRT referred to a lot of the language he and his son endured in the trenches as Orcish. That gives an idea of the flavor.
Varda Valar: Orcish.
Varda Valar: When we go to Dwarvish, the meanings can be beautiful: Silver tine, Cloudy head for mountain names.
Varda Valar: Hmm, we could use a word-list on our site for Dwarvish.
Varda Valar: There's a good project.
Arien V: Khazak ai menu!
Eonwe Valar: The axes of Doom-lord Kazzak? :}
Varda Valar: hehe
Arien V: hehe :-)
Eonwe Valar: I know you meant Khazad ai menu, but it was too amusing to pass up :}
Arien V: *chuckles*
Arien V: sorry yes of course i did
Arien V: my bad *blush*#
Eonwe Valar: (FYI: Doom-Lord Kazzak aka Supreme Lord Kazzak is a world boss in World of Warcraft *plays "the more you know" music*)
Varda Valar: We knew what you meant. :-)
Arien V: .. well .. i don't do names .. sings innocently
arpharazonv: So would Khazak be a dwarf-Kazzak?
Arien V: hmmmm something like a corrupted and mad Thrain?
arpharazonv: I was just thinking a smaller demon ;)
arpharazonv: Doom Lord + miniaturization ray.
Arien V: how cute ^^#
Varda Valar: I wonder how many elves knew some dwarvish.
Varda Valar: Celebrimbor and Galadriel jump to mind. Eol.
Arien V: They lived close to dwarven settlements
Arien V: and traded with them
arpharazonv: Probably not Thranduil.
arpharazonv: Though looking at the artpiece we saw today, I'm wondering if he's in on the joke after all :)
Varda Valar: Thranduil's dealings were a lot with Men for trade, but being rather close to Erebor, he might have picked some up.
Varda Valar: It's handy to have an idea of how well the translator is doing, and if he's pulling something.
arpharazonv: Forked tongues, in a way.. can't trust em ;)
Varda Valar: Agreed, he probably didn't hear it a lot.
Varda Valar: The movie Thranduil and the book Thranduil had some things in common, but enough not to make comparisons interesting.
Varda Valar: At least they both said he was blond. :-)
arpharazonv: We just don't know enough about book-Thranduil, I think?
Varda Valar: We can see a good bit of Thranduil, though.
Varda Valar: We don't know if his wife was still alive as she is never mentioned, but if she had died, it seems as if he would have been more interested in going to Valinor.
Varda Valar: He seemed to have no inclination to go there.
arpharazonv: Figured he'd end up there eventually I suppose?
Varda Valar: Oropher took Thranduil with him to live with the silvans.
Varda Valar: Thranduil was old enough to fight in the Last Alliance and the Siege of Barad-dur.
Varda Valar: The dislike of Noldor came from both of them, so that they more or less "went native", rather than being big on the old style kingdoms.
Varda Valar: And yet they had the underground hall, something like Menegroth. Probably the safety angle more than anything, since they fought constantly.
Varda Valar: Thranduil and his people fought back against the inroads of the mirk with feasts in the forest. In such places, that darkness was pushed back.
Varda Valar: Thranduil saw his people being pushed back to the north and seems to have dug his heels in against further retreat with his underground hall.
Varda Valar: Like medieval castles, the folks around it could run inside during attacks, then go back to normal life after.
Varda Valar: When Thorin's dwarves showed up, they seemed to be attacking the feast tables, yet not lethally.
Varda Valar: They could have been killed on the spot. They weren't.
Varda Valar: They were captured and taken to Thranduil. Only when they wouldn't answer what they were doing in his forest did he seem really annoyed with them.
Varda Valar: He could have done them harm, forced them to talk, but only imprisoned them. The separation was supposed to get them talking, I guess. And being away from Thorin.
Varda Valar: That tells a little about him.
Varda Valar: We know the royal table got the strong Dorwinion wine that could put other elves, such as the Captain of the Guard, to sleep.
Varda Valar: So he gets his drinking rep. :-)
Varda Valar: They did trade with humans so they weren't totally isolationist.
Varda Valar: Legolas never went to Lorien, run by Galadriel, but did go to Rivendell alone as if it may have been familiar territory.
arpharazonv: I like how he's got several spare feast tables prepared so it's easy for the entire party to silently move from one to another when they're disturbed.
Varda Valar: Aye. They probably had a lot of disruptions, ready for them.
Varda Valar: They got rid of the lights very quickly.
Varda Valar: Thranduil learned of the treasure being up for grabs when Smaug went down and headed that way with his people, but
Varda Valar: when he saw the plight of the humans that he'd been trading with, he stopped the group and rendered aid.
Varda Valar: It wasn't forced at all.
Varda Valar: It seemed natural for him to go with the humans as allies.
Varda Valar: Bilbo chose to stand with Thranduil during the fight. Even though his group had been prisoners of his. He trusted Thranduil.
Varda Valar: Thranduil had no desire to start a fight over treasure.
Varda Valar: It wasn't worth it.
Varda Valar: He did want those white gems. :-)
arpharazonv: Was Thranduil aware of Bilbo's presence in his halls at that time?
Varda Valar: No
arpharazonv: That might have helped, then :)
Varda Valar: He learned later.
Arien V: It seems in the book Bilbo told him after the battle about it
Varda Valar: Bilbo even paid him back for the food he pilfered.
Arien V: he appologized for the thievery
Varda Valar: Aye
arpharazonv: Well he could afford to pay for it now ;)
Varda Valar: :-)
Varda Valar: Was there a difference between book and movie Thranduil?
arpharazonv: He felt a bit more openly hostile and smug in the movies, but I haven't actually seen the third one yet, so I don't know how he acts at the battle.
Varda Valar: Sounds accurate
arpharazonv: Might be an advantage of the medium I suppose.
Varda Valar: Or they tried to make more conflict
arpharazonv: Might be that.
Arien V: the movie Thrandruil seemed to be more warlike .. a warrior king indeed
Arien V: but then .. he was provoked by Thorin . good old smackalking there
Varda Valar: I thought book Thranduil was also a warrior king. He might have gotten along with Celeborn, but not Galadriel.
Varda Valar: Aye. Thorin really pushed the limits, certainly no reason to want to treat him kindly.
arpharazonv: I read "kingly" there, which might also fit...
Varda Valar: heh, two alphas with their hackles up?
arpharazonv: Neither treating each other with the respect each deserves.
Varda Valar: Thorin pushed until there was nothing else to do than something hostile.
Varda Valar: Any other differences anyone would like to point out between the book and movie Thranduil? Some more of you did see the movie, I think?
Varda Valar: *fiddles with gavel collection*
Eonwe Valar: Other than I wasn't a fan of movie Thranduil, not really, heh.
Varda Valar: Were you more of a fan of book Thranduil?
Eonwe Valar: Movie Thranduil was more... shall we say "sensational"?
Varda Valar: Good description. :-)
Eonwe Valar: I think they went over the top with him, like they did with Galadriel in FotR,... and in this one too.
Varda Valar: Looking for more background, not given in the book. Giving him a murdered wife, implying those white gems he wanted were hers.
Eonwe Valar: That wasn't so bad.
Varda Valar: Gave him more motivations for actions.
Eonwe Valar: I'm think more the abandoning of the Dwarves at the beginning, the whole dragon-fire-burned-face thing, and spoilers in the third movie that I refrain from for Phar's sake :}
Varda Valar: heh
Varda Valar: ok, guess if we're avoiding spoilers we may as well move on. :-)
arpharazonv: Eh, if I cared about spoilers I'd need to be a lot more careful in life and online.
Varda Valar: *reaches for the nearest gavel*
arpharazonv: So go ahead with the spoilers.
Varda Valar: *it grabs a spoon and gives a mighty leap*
arpharazonv: I have seen reviews,  you know.
Varda Valar: *they go over the moon and slap back down on the table*
top

Varda Valar: After-meeting!
Varda Valar: Tolkien chat can continue or anything else you want for free chat. :-)
Eonwe Valar: OK, then I'll say that there are tactical retreats, and then there's abandoning your allies. Guess which one Thranduil does.
arpharazonv: Ouch!
arpharazonv: Makes him a bit of a villain, really.
Varda Valar: In the book, Thranduil is not a betrayer.
Eonwe Valar: Aye.
Eonwe Valar: As bad as some of the Fëanorians were, I don't recall that any of them did what Thranduil did in the movie, whatever mischeif they created off the battlefield.
Eonwe Valar: *mischief
Eonwe Valar: As I recall, Turgon (though not a Fëanorian) risked his kingdom by taking in two fellow combatants when he pulled back.
Eonwe Valar: That kindness paid off, because those two then guarded his flank when he had to retreat from a worse battle.
Eonwe Valar: Eh, my apologies, been too long actually, Just looked it back over. That was Thorondor's doing.
Eonwe Valar: There was a battle though, heh.
arpharazonv: hehe
Varda Valar: Hurin guarded Finrod's retreat, with results of all sorts coming from that one brave action.
Eonwe Valar: Hurin and Huor both.
Varda Valar: Aye, Huor was important that way too, thanks
Eonwe Valar: *guarded Turgon's retreat in the Dagort Bragollach.
Eonwe Valar: *Dagor Bragollach
Eonwe Valar: Er, bah, not it wasn't. fifth battle.
Eonwe Valar: Dagor Bragollach was the one where Gwindor's brother was captured, which helped make everything a mess in the fifth battle.
arpharazonv: Nirnaeth Arnoediad?
Eonwe Valar: Nirnaeth Arnoediad, aye.
Eonwe Valar: Even in the Nirnaeth, the sons of Fëanor, despised as their other actions might've been at other times, didn't just take their ball and go home when it got bad. They got together as many as they could, Elf and Dwarf alike and made their way out.
Varda Valar: Namarie - being called away. It is in After-meeting. :-)
arpharazonv: Namarie!
Varda Valar: True
arpharazonv: I'll give my gaming news in a bit :)
Varda Valar: It was the silmaril oath that made it so bad

Arien V: right i have an after note to my Eve report btw
Eonwe Valar: I should actually be going myself shortly.
Arien V: i forgot it to tell you then .. But CCP, the company that hosts Eve online , has a band like Blizzard has, called Permaband
Arien V: they have released a song called "Wrecking machine " and it is about the new expansion , bit metally and quite good :-) doesnt get to ETC levels but still very enjoyable
Arien V: here is the link on you tube#
Arien V:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80cYMR5JOUk

Eonwe Valar: I would like to throw in, if no one minds, that I am about 2k gold from hitting the gold cap in WoW, and expect to be there within the next play session or two. that's 999,999 gold, 99 silver, 99 copper. A crazy amount of gold, and I could've been there sooner if I wanted to be, heh. They're upping the cap with Legion, so thought I might as well hit the cap at least once since I was close, heh.
Arien V: Thats it :-)
arpharazonv: Heh, nice, Eonwe. I'm just about halfway there. 477k I think.
Arien V: wow well done
arpharazonv: Made some big purchases throughout the expansion.
Arien V: I have managed to run Archimonde with lfr today btw and saw the cinematic
arpharazonv: Ooh, nice :)
Arien V: :-)
Eonwe Valar: Once I get there I'll buy the Yak and the Alliance motorcycle and not care anymore, hehe.
Arien V: dont mention how .. lol managed to die a few times but i got ressed once and then managed to survive until he was about ten percent ^^#
arpharazonv: Oh right, still missing the bike ;)
Eonwe Valar: You won, and that's the important part, Arien :}
arpharazonv: Indeed, that's the important part about raidfights.

arpharazonv: http://www.kongregate.com/games/vogd/mr-timan is the first, a puzzle platformer where you have to switch between 2 time periods on key points in every level to get past obstacles.
arpharazonv: http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/norby is a top-view puzzle game where you have to move rocks to block magicians' attacks and collect all the stars in each level.
arpharazonv: And http://www.kongregate.com/games/Puffballs_United/fleeing-the-complex is a branching story game where you have to escape a prison facility with nonsensical solutions. Can be a bit.. graphic, though, despite them all being stick-figures.

arpharazonv: Blizzard games!
arpharazonv: Diablo 3: Managed to do some more of that this week, doing various rifts and greater rifts, and even a set of 25 bounties yesterday. Got myself all the way to paragon level 80 now, and an Ancient-quality sword, but no new set-pieces or other stuff that allows me to try  higher torment tiers.
arpharazonv: Hearthstone: All classes to 42 now! Golden cards for all! Weird brawl this week, with a bunch of minions in your deck that change to different random minions every turn (the legendary shapeshifter) until you play it. Rather random, but you also have to be strategic in deciding when to play what, because it might be a better one next turn.
arpharazonv: Heroes of the Storm: Still playing, over 75k gold now. No new levels.
arpharazonv: Lunara getting closer to level 9.
arpharazonv: WoW: Got a new mount for blackfang claws this week, only the pet missing, for which I still need just under 1000 claws.
arpharazonv: Done a bit of raiding, but nothing special. People are experimenting with classes they might want to play in the next expansion. I'm sticking with the druid, so nothing new for me.
arpharazonv: Got the troll to 31 now, busy on the other side of Ashenvale. Not sure how high he'll be when the zone is finished, but probably a lot higher than was intended for the zone.
arpharazonv: Oh, and with the patch coming, and changes to the wardrobe and transmogrification, I sought out and transmogged myself into the outfit I want for dps-spec, all green and insect-like, with some temporary pieces until I get the last few pieces from mythic highmaul and blackrock foundry. I did get some mythic boots from highmaul, though, so there's progress!
arpharazonv: Looking pretty good now, and I'm looking forward to the patch when I can try both sets at once :)
arpharazonv: So yep, slowly plodding on, and enjoying what's left of this expansion.
arpharazonv: Got a new pristine for archeology too - some ogre mage lord's eye. Bit ew, but there it is, in my gallery.
arpharazonv: And that's my news for this week!
arpharazonv: saving and sending transcript
