Elatan is from Denmark. All of the work shown is
made by this multi-talented artist, sculptor, and bowyer in his "spare"
time over many years. Since he does not have room to keep his work, he
took photographs for the memories, which he kindly shared with us.
He is one of the early members of the Valar Guild.
He joined as Beorn-(V) October 25, 1998. He was promoted to the Maia
Gwaihir-(Valar) Jan 10, 1999. He earned the Vala honor
Omar/Amillo-(Valar) and
became a Council member May 16, 1999. After long service, he stepped
down from the Council, taking the name Elatan-(Valar), but became even
more active than before, so that he was still a valued Council member.
Due to time zone problems in gaming, he opted out of the gaming end
July 23, 2006 to become a valued Tolkien-only member: Elatan-(T).
Elatan created the original Glittering Caves of
Aglarond before passing it on to Varda-(Valar).
He created the Annals
of Arda, a Tolkien Encyclopedia that links in all places both ways
with the Valar Guild Tolkien Encyclopedia, giving both added depth.
Elatan also created and used to maintain other web
pages
for
the guild including:
Members, Lord of the Rings Online.
