Tar-Anarion was a dunadan and the eighth King of
Numenor. He
was the son of Tar-Ancalime,
the first ruling Queen of Numenor.
His two eldest children were daughters, but they
both refused the
scepter. So the kingship passed to his third child and eldest
son, Tar-Surion.
