Mallor, son of Beleg,
became the third King of Arthedain.
Argument continued between the three Arnorian
kingdoms of Arthedain, Cardolan, and Rhudaur, chiefly over the
possession of the Weather Hills and the land westward towards Bree.
This was due to the desire to own the Palantir of Amon S�l
(Weathertop). Arthedain already held the other two Palantiri.
The kingdom of Arthedain went to Mallor's son,
Celepharn.
