5:00pm Eastern Time
Discord: Valar Guild/meeting_place
Attending: Arien, Ar-Pharazon, Eonwe, Leod, Varda (presiding)
Topic by Leod: Valar that have made appearances in popular media.
[3:48 PM]Varda: Ok, this is the correct channel... : )
[3:59 PM]Léod: Greetings Star-Queen!
[4:01 PM]Varda: Aiya, Leod-king :)
[4:01 PM]Varda: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
[4:01 PM]Varda: Membership:
[4:02 PM]Varda: Our people are scattered about, easy to miss each other even in the same game on the same server. But we are here. : )
[4:02 PM]Varda: This meeting time can help us versus that problem.
[4:02 PM]Arien Valar: aiya:)
[4:02 PM]Varda: Aiya Sunshine!
[4:02 PM]Léod: Aiya!
[4:03 PM]Eönwë Valar: Heya.
[4:03 PM]Léod: Hello, hello!
[4:06 PM]Varda: Aiya Eonwe, Lost Vala!
[4:06 PM]Varda: I can let him explain that one if you don't know already. ; ) brb
[4:07 PM]Léod: Lost?
[4:09 PM]Varda: Back
[4:09 PM]Varda: ahh, we have a subject. : )
[4:09 PM]Varda: "Lost Valar" project
[4:10 PM]Varda: Our Eonwe-(Valar) used to be a Maia of that name.
[4:10 PM]Varda: But when he became Vala Honor, he kept the same name with this loophole.
[4:10 PM]Varda: Once upon a time, Eonwe was in the storyline as a Vala as the son of Manwe and Varda.
[4:11 PM]Varda: That storyline changed later so the Vala became "lost" to the story.
[4:11 PM]Léod: Very interesting!
[4:11 PM]Léod: I just read it. Thanks for that!
[4:11 PM]Eönwë Valar: Actually, before I was the Vala Eonwë I was the Maia Valacirca. :}
[4:11 PM]Varda: Irmo-(Valar) started our Lost Valar project. And those links on that quick page go to articles on those Lost Valar.
[4:12 PM]Varda: Thanks, please keep me straight. True. And before that he was some free person named Aragorn.
[4:12 PM]Eönwë Valar: I chose Eonwë as my Vala name because all the regular Vala names were full at the time :}
[4:12 PM]Varda: Once upon a time in the Valar Guild, we ran low on unused Vala Honor names. : )
[4:12 PM]Varda: If you can imagine that.
[4:13 PM]Varda: So creativity came into play. Yay!
[4:13 PM]Léod: It was a good idea.
[4:13 PM]Varda: Anyway, that page is the starter page for that project. Lots of fun reading there.
[4:14 PM]Varda: Any other membership news?
[4:14 PM]Varda: On to
[4:14 PM]Varda: Web News:
[4:15 PM]Varda: The news for the art page is content-updated for this year. Please let me know if something was left out that could have been used in our Encyclopedia.
[4:15 PM]Varda: More importantly,
[4:15 PM]Varda: The Bohemian Weasel-(T) sent this letter (slightly shortened here):
"... As you're probably aware, in the last year there's been a terrible rise of 'AI' bots scraping every image they can get their hands on. To this end I've removed a lot of my work from online sources and will later replace it with protected work that can safely be put back up online. But for now I'm afraid I'll have to ask if you can remove my work from your websites, the sooner the better please. Generative AI is ruining all our nice things. Hopefully I should have some protected versions (treated with 'Glaze' software) which will be safe for you to reinstate, but it'll take a while to 'Glaze' all that work. Thank you!"
[4:16 PM]Léod: I litterally just read that. LOL!
[4:16 PM]Varda: Very good. : )
[4:17 PM]Varda: So today I removed the entire section for her, leaving a big hole. She did some brilliant work and makes her money from her art.
[4:17 PM]Varda: For her, this is a very big deal so the response needed to be prompt.
[4:17 PM]Varda: tries not to sob into a coffee cup
[4:18 PM]Varda: You might remember that Faramir art that came up on our revolving art of the index page. That was one of hers.
[4:18 PM]Varda: I removed the entire folder of hers to prevent missing anything.
[4:19 PM]Léod: It is a really big deal, the website could be scraped for info, and art, at any moment.
[4:19 PM]Varda: For those who aren't using that art to make a living, it should not be as much of a problem, although still a problem.
[4:19 PM]Varda: Right.
[4:20 PM]Varda: When it's scraped and dumped into other bits of art, it can have the name of an artist still attached and make a wreck of their reputation.
[4:20 PM]Varda: That's just one of the massive numbers of problems.
[4:20 PM]Varda: Anyway, for those needing it, there is a program called Glaze that she mentions, amongst others, that may help:
[4:21 PM]Varda: Glaze - Protecting Artists from Generative AI
[4:21 PM]Varda: It's a nightmare to do and takes a lot of space. But beats complete loss of control.
[4:21 PM]Varda: It is done for each image individually.
[4:22 PM]Varda: That's all my web news.
[4:23 PM]Léod: Wow. Important stuff today!
[4:23 PM]Varda: (Writers so far are just out of luck, unless they keep strictly to paper writing and paper books, hah.)
[4:24 PM]Varda: On to
[4:24 PM]Varda: Gaming!
[4:24 PM]Varda: Artists for gaming must be having interesting times too, you reckon?
[4:25 PM]Léod: I know that animators are having a tough time. AI is taking over more and more of their jobs.
[4:26 PM]Varda: The AI can swipe the art needed from anyone anywhere in the world, mix it up, and animate in a super-short time. No creativity needed.
[4:27 PM]Varda: And soooo fast.
[4:27 PM]Varda: Anyway, that was a long-winded yes. : )
[4:28 PM]Varda: tosses a sparkly gavel to Eonwe (Animation and art is all in your mind, dear Reader!)
[4:28 PM]Eönwë Valar: And soon they'll be able to read that, heh.
[4:29 PM]Eönwë Valar: Gaming:
[4:29 PM]Eönwë Valar: World of Warcraft:
[4:29 PM]Eönwë Valar: This week's Bonus Events: Delves and Classic Timewalking.

[4:30 PM]Eönwë Valar: Check out the WoW Weekly Wrap-Up for anything not mentioned.
[4:30 PM]Eönwë Valar: Check out this week's hotfixes.
[4:30 PM]Eönwë Valar: Hearthstone:
[Now live: Patch 31.2 and Season 9: Enter the Technotavern
[4:31 PM]Eönwë Valar: Warcraft Rumble: See who the next Split Leaders will be.
[4:31 PM]Eönwë Valar: Diablo Immortal:

[4:31 PM]Eönwë Valar: Diablo 2:
[4:31 PM]Eönwë Valar: Ladder Season 9 has begun.
[4:32 PM]Eönwë Valar: Running December 13th through January 4th: 22 Nights of Terror.
[4:32 PM]Eönwë Valar: Overwatch 2:
[New blog: Rebel Against The Ordinary In Overwatch 2 - Season 14.
[4:32 PM]Eönwë Valar: That's it from me.
[4:33 PM]Varda: Thank you, Eonwe. : )
[4:33 PM]Léod: Thank you!
[4:33 PM]Varda: Leod, would you like to give some news for Lord of the Rings Online?
[4:34 PM]Léod: I can, though I am just a helper, so you can do it if you want.
[4:35 PM]Léod: Does this mean I should do it?
[4:35 PM]Léod: I'll just go ahead. One moment.
[4:36 PM]Varda: I'll fill in after you. : )
[4:36 PM]Léod: This weeks sales and free gift:
[4:36 PM]Léod: The Patron's Coffer of the Rohirrim has arrived!
[4:37 PM]Léod: That is this week's sales. I won't be buying this Patron's Coffer, but I wish I could for one reason only! Look at this good boy:
[4:37 PM]Léod: Image of nifty dog pet.
[4:38 PM]Léod: I'm sure there are other great things in the coffer, but as I said, what beats this cutie?
[4:38 PM]Léod: The Community Manager, Cordovan, is asking for volunteer moderators for a new Official Lotro Discord. They're a little late to the game on this, but I guess they are trying to catch up. If you want to volunteer, here is the link with the description and sign up details:
[4:38 PM]Léod: In other news: So far, people seem favorably impressed with Moria on the Angmar and Mordor servers, some complain about the stacking poison and stuns of assassins, but they seem to be more accepted than the lesser wraiths!
[4:39 PM]Léod: Back to you in the studio!
[4:39 PM]Varda: Thank you. : )
[4:40 PM]Varda: The volunteers for Discord could be interesting. I think I'll pass though.
[4:40 PM]Léod: I don't need that kind of stress!!
[4:40 PM]Varda: About the game itself:
[4:40 PM]Varda: Dec. 4 Wednesday had a lot happen:
[4:40 PM]Varda: Update 42.2 release notes.
[4:41 PM]Varda: *Angmar and Mordor servers have reached the Mines of Moria:
[4:41 PM]Varda: *Treebeard server updated: Level cap now 105. Players can go to Far Anorien and The Wastes.
[4:41 PM]Varda: *The Moria Stable-master network has been revamped.
[4:41 PM]Varda: LotRO kinmates showing in the past week:
Landroval branch
Crickhollow branch:
Treebeard branch:
Angmar branch:
Mordor branch:
[4:42 PM]Varda: Fangorn and I have been checking out the latest content in landscape mainly. Massive amounts of questing there. And great scenery.
[4:43 PM]Varda: Starcraft 2:
[4:43 PM]Varda: The usual suspects (that I know of): Fangorn, Eowyn, Faramir, and Floppa.
[4:43 PM]Varda: Any other gaming news?
[4:44 PM]Varda: On to
[4:44 PM]Varda: Tolkien!
[4:45 PM]Varda: Does anyone have a topic they would like to bring up?
[4:47 PM]Léod: Valar that have made appearances in popular media?
[4:47 PM]Varda: Interesting. What are you thinking of?
[4:48 PM]Léod: Either in the mini-series that shall not be named or Lotro, or other Tolkien games.
[4:50 PM]Léod: For example, in the area around Enedwaith there is a shrine in the hills, and there is suggestion of a divine being there. It's not an evil altar or anything, so maybe it's to the Hunter?
[4:50 PM]Arien Valar: not to mention the food brand names oromir and Maia
[4:51 PM]Arien Valar: Boromir i mean
[4:51 PM]Varda: Ahh, in LotRO. they don't own rights to the Silmarillion. So they get around it with The Hunter, The Crafter.
[4:51 PM]Varda: and their helpers we would think of as Maiar but are not called that.
[4:52 PM]Eönwë Valar: Pretty sure Oromë was mentioned in LotR.
[4:52 PM]Léod: That's what I was wondering. Is he in the appendixes perhaps?
[4:52 PM]Varda: Orome was The Hunter, but not by name in the LotRO game. So I'm thinking that SSG was being careful.
[4:52 PM]Eönwë Valar: Of course I don't have my books handy, but in reference to the charge of the Rohirrim is where I remember it.
[4:52 PM]Varda: It gets very tricky not to step over a line.
[4:53 PM]Varda: The stars of Elbereth.
[4:53 PM]Eönwë Valar: It's one of the... I think it was three?... places the word "Valar" is used in LotR.
[4:53 PM]Varda: There are all sorts of mentions in the books for the LotR.
[4:53 PM]Varda: But the game is being verrry careful not to be sued.
[4:54 PM]Eönwë Valar: I know we've had that discussion about how many times "Valar" was used in LotR.
[4:54 PM]Varda: But when can a game based on a license for the LotR get away with it, without dipping a toe in the Sil?
[4:54 PM]Varda: or the Histories?
[4:55 PM]Léod: I mean, you could, but some of the deeper meanings of things would just have to be mysteries.
[4:55 PM]Eönwë Valar: When they say "Oh look, there's the Valar! Valar 1, and Valar 2, and..."
[4:55 PM]Varda: hehe
[4:55 PM]Varda: In a way, that was how the book played it.
[4:56 PM]Varda: A very brief mention of the huge body of unpublished work, as world background, giving immense depth.
[4:57 PM]Varda: The LotR was from the point of view of hobbits, that didn't have a lot going on beyond farming and cooking.
[4:57 PM]Varda: One can imagine they would have cared about Yavanna, and the Entwives that taught the original humans (therefore hobbits too) about gardening and crops.
[4:58 PM]Varda: Maybe Ulmo, for fishing?
[4:58 PM]Varda: So wherever our characters might bump up against the Maiar and perhaps Valar, it can be a mysterious moment of depth : )
[4:59 PM]Varda: "You were meant to find it."
[5:01 PM]Léod: I want to thank you all for humoring my subject. I think it's pretty fascinating and I'll bet there are more than we have thought of so far, both in LotRO and in other media. I have to leave for now, it's been good touching base with you guildies!
[5:02 PM]Varda: It is the hour. : )
[5:03 PM]Varda: the gavel wanders around the table and trips over the hammerpad
[5:03 PM]Eönwë Valar: Take care Leod.
[5:03 PM]Varda: thonk!
[5:03 PM]Varda: After-meeting!
[5:03 PM]Léod: Thank you!
[5:03 PM]Varda: Namarie! and thanks for a new topic!
[5:05 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie
[5:06 PM]Varda: After all this time, it can be tricky keeping it fresh. : )
[5:09 PM]Varda: Soooo.... urge to game
[5:10 PM]Eönwë Valar: YouTube - Willy Wonka -- Stop, Don't, Come Back.
[5:14 PM]Varda: : ) Have to wonder if he really added in that
[last] comma.
[5:19 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie all
[5:20 PM]Varda: May the sunset go well!
[5:20 PM]Eönwë Valar: Sleep well Arien.
[5:53 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya, reading through.
[6:16 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I now have the urge to find an AI art generator, ask it about Numenorean boat jousting and see if it references my drawing.
[10:25 PM]Varda: hehe
[10:25 PM]Varda: Nothing else for it to check!
[10:25 PM]Varda: Namarie : )
[10:26 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: btw, just doing some Rúmble before I gove my report.
[10:26 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: *give
[10:26 PM]Varda: Enjoy!
[10:26 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Sure
[10:26 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Just saying, it's coming!
[10:46 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Personal gaming report:
[10:46 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: For (non)flashgaming, here's Sleepy Knight on Kongregate
[10:46 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: A platformer, part of a series of games with 15 small levels, each with a different character and mechanics.
[10:47 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In this one you get a bed with a knight sleeping in it. Choose your place to drop the bed from a height to wake up the knight, at which point he'll start running along the level to open all the chests.
[10:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Along the way you get enemies and fire to get by, as well as a sword which you can use to proc his attack, and a jump ability. Guide him through, get all the chests!
[10:49 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And if you just can't figure it out, always read the help sign in each level for instructions or hints!
[10:58 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Blizzard gaming:
[11:00 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hearthstone: 61 on the reward track now. Got to 2000 reward track levels total over the years, getting me another hero skin, and I chose the priest Transcendence Anduin, which I believe is the last of the original 10 hero skins from this series of achievements. The second batch is already up for choice, but I wanted to finish the originals first.
[11:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: It's silly though... to keep up with that series you'd have to get an average of 200 levels for each expansion, which means a lot of grinding games, since I already basically do all my quests anyway.
[11:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: As for quest events, we actually didn't have one this week! Next one starts in 2 days though, based on Winter Veil.
[11:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: It's called Bob's Holiday Bash; since Bob is the bartender in the battleground mode, I suspect it'll involve the battlegrounds. As long as I don't need to win too many I guess I can live with that
[11:03 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Tavern brawl is the heroic brawl again, Brawliseum, and with the gold cost I never go for that.
[11:03 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Warcraft Rumble:
[11:04 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yet another collection level! 49 now. These constant events and their tomes are really doing a lot for my mini levels.
[11:05 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Darkmoon Faire event is now over, and I always did my daily challenges there, so got the rewards that I could. There's also a Winter Veil event going on for 30 days, 10 days per section, this one focusing on a Malfurion reward track.
[11:07 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There's a special quest mode involving a christmas tree sprouting gifts all over the map as it gets damaged, which can spawn spiderlings, coal elementals and chill auras. It's pretty difficult, but at least it got nerfed after a few days. And there's lots of challenges you can do in it that don't involve winning, so that's fine.
[11:08 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also the new dual-family leader, Malfurion, and some quests to do stuff with him, like dungeons and pvp. I'm pretty much on pace for the whole thing, and got all the most important rewards on the track. I hope the next 2 chapters will go similarly smoothly.
[11:09 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And there's another event going on too, about the PC launch of the game, but that just involves logging in every day and getting all the tomes, stars and unique rewards from the login rewards. Should be fine!
[11:10 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In the dungeon, got Onu through level 20 in the Cenarion week, and Jaina also through level 20 in the alliance week. It's been well planned out, since Malfurion is both Cenarion and Alliance, and therefore can participate in both weeks
[11:11 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In the heroic sigil campaign, I defeated Vilebranch Hexx with all families, and Reak (the big dirt elemental) with 3 families. He's kinda tough, since you need to feed him powerful minis and also take care of the smaller dirt elementals he spawns, but so far I've only needed to adjust my deck for alliance, as horde and blackrock worked out with a few tries.
[11:12 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I wonder how beast will go, though
[11:12 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Anyway, that puts me at 126 sigils.
[11:14 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: As for quality upgrades, I got Malfurion up to uncommon, and the Plague Farmer and Grom Hellscream to rare quality. I also got the right talent for Malfurion and the second talents for the fire elemental and the plague farmer. Eclipse and Hellscream are still waiting for their next talents.
[11:16 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: WoW: Raiding still going on, but we've had a few cancelled due to circumstances, including holiday stuff. No progress on the Queen.
[11:16 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I did get my best weapon from this season, though, but it spawned in the Vault rather than from the raid, so that's always helpful
[11:18 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: For the anniversary, I've been logging more alts to get the feat of strength, and am now into my horde alts. Haven't done much at the event itself other than timewalking stuff, though, and a couple of green dragon kills.
[11:19 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Speaking of timewalking, I visited the updated Wrath timewalking vendor, where I bought a new mount, the Enchanted Spellweave Carpet, and the new dog pet Specter. Based on name, appearance and flavor text, I assume it's based on the dire wolf Ghost from Game of Thrones. So that's what I named him!
[11:20 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'm not going to have enough timewalking badges to get all the new mounts and stuff from all the timewalking vendors, so instead I'm keeping a list of which ones I've cleaned out, and spent some badges on new cosmetic sets from the Wrath vendor as well, and the Explorer's League tabard.
[11:21 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Going to take a while to get all the new stuff but at least I have something to spend badges on again
[11:21 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And finally, been doing Delves more frequently again! Focusing on Bountiful delves featuring races whose pet I don't have yet.
[11:23 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Along the way, Brann hit level 48, I looted one of the toys from a chest, the Abyss Caller Horn, and I had enough undercoins to buy 2 unique cosmetic hats, the Soporific Shroom Cap and the Mint-Scented Candle Hat.
[11:23 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, and I found out, much too late into the season, that sporeplosion in the fungarian delves also hurt enemies, making the fights much easier Well, better late than never!
[11:24 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And that's my report for the week!
[11:24 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie
December 9, 2024
[@Ar-Pharazon-V
[I'm not going to have enough timewalking badges to get all the new mounts and stuff from all the timewalking vendors, so instead I'm keeping a list of which ones I've cleaned out, and spent some badges on new cosmetic sets from the Wrath vendor as well, and the Explorer's League tabard.
[7:44 PM]Eönwë Valar: I hope that the new stuff is going to stick around to buy. I'm maximizing my buying power as best as I can, trading around the bronze tokens and the badges, but I can't sit there and play as much as it would take to get all of this in one go.
[9:15 PM]Eönwë Valar: You know, I have to wonder if or what Blizzard was thinking when they made a pregnant woman a dungeon/raid boss.
[9:17 PM]Sandalf13: A pregnant woman raiding a dungeon? Inconceivable!!!
[9:17 PM]Sandalf13: To quote Vezzinni...
[11:16 PM]Eönwë Valar: hehe
[11:17 PM]Eönwë Valar: More like, we go into a dungeon, and one of the bosses we fight along the way is "with child."
December 10, 2024
[5:37 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Took me way too much thinking to realize you're talking about Moira. I was wondering if it was a new dungeon. At least she survives the fight
[5:59 AM]Eönwë Valar: Not for the "heroes'" lack of trying.
[8:35 PM]Eönwë Valar: Well, I have two pieces of gear left to get Hero-level, and two chances to get Hero-level gear: the weekly, and the Vault from last week. Let's see how lucky I am.
[10:26 PM]Eönwë Valar: Bah, 1 for 2. Could've got nothing at all, but it means I've got to wait another week to see if I get that last hero item.
December 11, 2024
[12:23 AM]Eönwë Valar: In the meantime, I've graduated from the "Runed" upgrade item, now only on the "gilded" which means if I don't get the hero item I can take the consolation prize and trade it for upgrades to my current gear.
[1:32 AM]Eönwë Valar: Oh, looks like the cap for the crests came off too, so now if I'm feeling insane I can farm the lowest crest and upgrade all the way to the highest crest, heh.
[@Ar-Pharazon-V
[Ok, wowhead tells me Vaskarn does sell them, I'm guessing when you've made it that far.
[5:04 AM]Eönwë Valar: Update on this comment: I still don't see them being sold, and WoWhead doesn't show them either. So looks like only option is to use them on the runed then trade your week's worth to upgrade to gilded.
[8:25 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, sorry, the vendor next to the vault? I haven't checked him. All I know is I can trade them in 90 for 15 at Vaskarn, but that is only visible after the Runed being obsolete.
[8:26 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Which, I guess, you noticed
[6:07 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yeah, you're right. Vault guy only sells runed.
[6:43 PM]Eönwë Valar: Is Vaskarn not the vault guy?
[6:56 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: No, Vaskarn is the guy who lets you exchange
[7:05 PM]Eönwë Valar: Oh, you mean the guy by the upgrade person. Got it.
[7:05 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yep!
[7:06 PM]Eönwë Valar: Yeah, pretty sure he was happy to take my 90 runed next time I have some, but no going straight for gilded at the vault guy, so I've gotta take the runed from him, then trade 90 for the gilded.
[7:07 PM]Eönwë Valar: What's sad is that after almost 100 delves, I've only found 3 Delver's Bounties.
[7:07 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hmm, I think I'm at 3 or 4 as well.
[7:09 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And today I bought the last cosmetic hat and second-last toy for undercoins, so I'm almost done there. I'm wondering if I can ease up on doing Delves now, though there's still more achievements to be had, and pets to drop...
[7:11 PM]Eönwë Valar: You're probably getting upgrades elsewhere than Delves, otherwise I'd say it's worth T8s simply for the 2 Runed crests to keep adding up. Otherwise I'd say if you're in a rush for them I'd just make sure you did enough to get the chance to buy runed crests from the vault consolation prize if you weren't filling it out any other way.
[7:12 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I suppose so, could even do really low tier ones in a hurry for that
[7:12 PM]Eönwë Valar: Aye.
[7:16 PM]Eönwë Valar: No caps on crests now though, so earning any can add up if you're crazy enough to farm long enough, heh.
[7:16 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: hehe
[7:16 PM]Eönwë Valar: Only 360 Weathered Crests to my next upgrade! :}
[7:18 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Have fun
[7:18 PM]Eönwë Valar: Excuse me, more like 810, heh.
[7:18 PM]Eönwë Valar: I think. Doing real quick, real rought math.
[7:21 PM]Eönwë Valar: Let's see, 90 Weathered > 15 Carved, 90 Carved > 15 Runed, 90 Runed > 15 Gilded. So 90 Runed < 540 Carved < 3240 Weathered.
[7:21 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Only 2430 of the basic kind!
[7:21 PM]Eönwë Valar: Oops no, correcting math above.
[7:21 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Wait, that can't be right.
[7:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: 90 Crests requires 6 trades to get to. (15 x 6 = 90) (edited)
[7:24 PM]Eönwë Valar: so (15 x 6) crests requires (90 x 6) of the previous.
[7:27 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Right. 3240 then, indeed.
[7:27 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I thought there was an even lower tier, which would've been almost 20k, but weathered is the basic.

[3:55 AM]Eönwë Valar: So based on this, the numbers we just crunched will be cut in half next Tuesday...
[3:55 AM]Eönwë Valar: Short version: don't trade up yet.
[3:55 AM]Eönwë Valar: Wonder if they'll keep that number for next season too, or if it'll go back up to 90.
[3:57 AM]Eönwë Valar: Oops, there we go, response says this is the starting point for Season 2 as well.
Thus ends this week's meeting. Come back and see us next week!
