5:00pm Eastern Time

Discord: Valar Guild/meeting_place

Before-Meeting

[September 10, 2024

[12:45 AM]Eönwë Valar: OK ladies and gents, the Games Site Mass-Update e-mail for 2024 has been sent out all full members designated as "Active" and listing an e-mail on the Memberhip Page. Replies will now be accepted through e-mail, Forum, or here on Discord. If you're not listed on the (Membership Page) as Active and you should be (if you're reading this right now, I'd hazard a guess and say you should be considered "Active"), then contact Varda as well.

[12:46 AM]Eönwë Valar: Make sure to tell me who you are if there's any chance at all it might not be obvious :} I.e., you haven't responded to one of these in a while.

[September 11, 2024

[12:23 AM]Eönwë Valar: OK so arg. Gotta complete the campaign before I can do Delves past Tier 4.

[10:15 PM]Treebeard: @Treebeard LOTRO is a GREAT game with great players

[September 15, 2024

[3:56 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya all!

[3:58 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya!

[3:58 PM]Sandalf13: Wie geht alles zu Hause?

[3:59 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: 's going fine, nothing special, about to make some dinner

[3:59 PM]Sandalf13: What is on the menu? Not Hobbits, I hope...

[3:59 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Pancakes.

[3:59 PM]Sandalf13: Whole grain or floyur?

[4:00 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'm not sure.

[4:00 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: They're microwave.

[4:00 PM]Sandalf13: BTW, can you get real maple syrup in Holland?

[4:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Not sure. A bit of googling tells me the brand I use, uses Dutch-grown sugar beets.

[4:02 PM]Sandalf13: Ah...not REAL maple syrup then, I shall have to try to get some to you someday.

[4:02 PM]Eönwë Valar: Heya all.

[4:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya!

[4:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: That's ok, I'm sure I can find it if I want

[4:02 PM]Eönwë Valar: Sugar beets, as opposed to salt beets.

[4:03 PM]Eönwë Valar: @Bounder Meeting begins in 2 minutes! Be there or be square!

[4:03 PM]Sandalf13: I'd prefer to be an octagon, but who is counting?

[4:04 PM]Eönwë Valar: See, no one wants to be square.

[4:04 PM]Sandalf13: That is why I am here!

[4:05 PM]Arien Valar: rather a square , than a hare ~

[4:05 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Sunshine! (since Varda is apparently not here to greet you~)

[4:05 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): I don't mind being square. It's a beautiful shape. Better than a cone imho.

[4:05 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya Arien and Ungwe!

[4:05 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Ungwetari!

[4:05 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Right, brb for cakes of pan.

[4:06 PM]Eönwë Valar: Cones are cool. They're both a triangle and a circle.

[4:06 PM]Arien Valar: Aiya spidey , Phari , Sandalf and Eonwe

[4:06 PM]Eönwë Valar: A triangle wrapped around a circle.

[4:06 PM]Eönwë Valar: Well, it's that time.

Meeting Starts

[4:06 PM]Eönwë Valar: Elen Sila Lumenn Omentielbo!

[4:10 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Tulcakes.

[4:10 PM]Eönwë Valar: OK, for the record, Attending are: Eonwë, Sandalf, Arien, Pharazon, and a spider dodging between Nahar's hooves.

[@Eönwë Valar

[OK, for the record, Attending are: Eonwë, Sandalf, Arien, Pharazon, and a spider dodging between Nahar's hooves.

[4:11 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): Too many legs there.

[@Ar-Pharazon-V

[Tulcakes.

[4:12 PM]Eönwë Valar: I feel like there's a joke there I could say.

[4:12 PM]Arien Valar: They look tasty though

[4:13 PM]Sandalf13: With REAL Maple Syrup, from a Sugar Maple tree...

[4:13 PM]Sandalf13: We had one growing in our front yard when I was growing up, but it takes about 150 trees to make one galleon of syrup.

[4:14 PM]Eönwë Valar: So rubbing the individual pancakes against the bark wasn't a solution then.

[4:14 PM]Sandalf13: No. As I understand it, maple syrup was another gift from the Native Americans to the recently arrived Europeans....sugar maples are not endemic to Europe. I believe.

[4:16 PM]Eönwë Valar: In more serious news, Varda and Fangorn are on the road, so you've got me chairing today.

[4:18 PM]Eönwë Valar: The GSMU (Games Site Mass-Update) e-mails have been sent out for this year to all Full Members listed as Active on the Membership Page and having a known e-mail.

[4:18 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: On the road again ♪

[4:18 PM]Eönwë Valar: Therefore, I'm now accepting responses to that e-mail or through the Forum or Discord.

[4:19 PM]Eönwë Valar: Remember to respond by September 30th.

[4:19 PM]Eönwë Valar: Any other Membership News?

[4:20 PM]Arien Valar: two weeks to go until my holidays

[4:20 PM]Eönwë Valar: Awesome :}

[4:21 PM]Sandalf13: Yay! Are you traveling?

[4:21 PM]Eönwë Valar: Just in time for the Guild Anniversary? :}

[4:21 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Local fair's this week, should be fun

[4:21 PM]Arien Valar: Traveling to see my mum actually so i wont be online actually

[4:21 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, did we ever settle on a theme for that, Eonwe?

[4:21 PM]Eönwë Valar: That's a good reason.

[4:22 PM]Sandalf13: An excellent reason...All of you know, of course, that if you are ever in the need of a Rocky Mountain High, you are welcome to visit....I have TWO guest rooms.

[4:22 PM]Eönwë Valar: I need to dig into that to be sure, Phar. Sorry.

[4:23 PM]Arien Valar: i might have caught a bit of it if there wasn t the powerwulf concert on the 12th october .. ~ that will be so awseome

[4:24 PM]Arien Valar: i will keep it in mind , Sandalf

[4:24 PM]Arien Valar: Powerwolf i mean .. of course

[4:26 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'll try to know for sure on the the theme by next week, sooner if I can.

[4:27 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Heh, sure. Maybe I can make another drawing!

[4:27 PM]Eönwë Valar: I know we were going to try and use the new poll option to give people a chance for voting, but I don't know off the top of my head if we did that once we got the ideas from the discussion.

[4:28 PM]Eönwë Valar: If not, and you find a poll to vote in sitting in this channel, then make sure to vote, heh.

[4:29 PM]Eönwë Valar: OK, on to...

[4:29 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Tossed you my GSMU stuff, Eonwe, though you probably noticed

Tolkien

[4:42 PM]Eönwë Valar: Tolkien:

[4:43 PM]Eönwë Valar: Anyone have a topic they'd like to discuss?

[4:44 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): Oh!

[4:44 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): I have 2 more vids out in my LotRO Lore playlist!

[4:45 PM]Sandalf13: Where can I find those?

[4:45 PM]Sandalf13: Is it within LoTRO?

[4:45 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): YouTube - Deep dive into the lore of Lord of the Rings through Lord of the Rings Online

[4:46 PM]Sandalf13: Are you Elayne Trankand (or something like that)?

[4:49 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): Yes.

[4:50 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): Elayne Trakand is my online name.

[4:50 PM]Sandalf13: Ah. Now I see, said the blind man.

[4:51 PM]Eönwë Valar: Ok, Tolkien lightning round:

[4:51 PM]Eönwë Valar: YouTube - A Very Merry Unbirthday to You

[4:51 PM]Eönwë Valar: 1.) How do Hobbits celebrate their unbirthdays?

[4:52 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: By giving away presents!

[4:52 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): By receiving presents?

[4:52 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): Because on birthdays they give them away.

[4:52 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In case birthdays weren't stressful enough!

[4:53 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, unbirthdays.

[4:53 PM]Eönwë Valar: By going to other Hobbits' birthday parties. But I do like the train of thought.

[4:54 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Would an unbirthday be a funeral?

[4:54 PM]Eönwë Valar: 2.) How does one become a Blue Wizard?

[4:55 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): One does not. Only the Ithryn Luin are Blue, and we don't even know why they are called that.

[Note: because they wore blue]

[4:55 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: By pestering your local Vala into sending you to Middle-earth!

[4:56 PM]Arien Valar: you fall out of Valinor and wander through Middlearth until you have reached eastern lands where you try to figure out what your job is there

[4:56 PM]Eönwë Valar: YouTube - Audioandlyrics Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)

[4:56 PM]Eönwë Valar: Good answer by Phar, heh.

[4:57 PM]Eönwë Valar: 3.) How many Valar does it take to chain up a Morgoth?

[4:57 PM]Arien Valar: one .. Tulkas , you use Angainor for it

[4:58 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Crafted by Aule, I presume? So that makes 2.

[4:58 PM]Arien Valar: ah true . yes didnt think of that

[4:58 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'll take both of those answers.

[4:58 PM]Sandalf13: By being assigned a task, heading off to do it, and then completely forgetting what you were supposed to do...that is why the Blue Wizards were old...

[4:59 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): By retconning the entire thing.

[4:59 PM]Eönwë Valar: I would've also taken "All of them. Everyone else to make a plan, and then one Tulkas to get mad, go rogue, and finish the job when Manwë tried to feed Melkor's ego to lull him into a false sense of security."

[5:01 PM]Sandalf13: My answer was a belated response to the FIRST questions...just like the Blue Wizards

[5:01 PM]Eönwë Valar: 4.) How many breaths does it take to get to the center of an Eru(tm) brand Arda?

[5:01 PM]Sandalf13: Depends on who is taking the breath...

[5:01 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): None. You can't breathe in space, or in solid rock.

[5:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: A breath of Manwe could probably get you pretty far.

[5:02 PM]Eönwë Valar: YouTube - Tootsie Roll Pop Orange | Television Commercial | Classic

[5:03 PM]Eönwë Valar: To be fair, there are plenty of caves underground passages through Arda that got mention but not much exploration. Might get close, but unless you can survive magma, not likely to get to the center.

[5:03 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'll take all answers on that one.

[5:04 PM]Arien Valar: I wouldnt have any problems nod

[5:04 PM]Eönwë Valar: And now, last question.

[5:04 PM]Sandalf13: Of course, geologially speaking, caves cannot extend to the innards of the Earth.

[5:05 PM]Arien Valar: ask Jules Verne about that ~

[5:05 PM]Sandalf13: He was confused...

[5:05 PM]Sandalf13: And he wasn't a geologist, nor did he think to consult one....

[5:07 PM]Sandalf13:

[5:07 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Eh, his imagination was good enough Might not have made as good a tale otherwise!

[5:07 PM]Eönwë Valar: 5.) Would you rather: one ride on Nahar one night on Fastitocalon's back (he won't dive while you're asleep) one request from Huan one ride on Thorondor's back one song from Luthien one lecture from Gandalf (edited)

[5:08 PM]Eönwë Valar: And why?

[5:08 PM]Sandalf13: The Tower in the picture is a representation of The Tower of Pisa (not yet leaning)...with thanks to my oldest daughter.

[5:08 PM]Sandalf13: One ride on Thorondor's back...

[5:08 PM]Eönwë Valar: Amusing picture, Sandalf.

[5:08 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Kinda drawn to Fastitocalon there. Seems like an interesting journey with quite a view, even if it's just ocean and stars

[5:09 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): I would like a ride on Nahar... but just to see how he'll deal with a big spidey on his back.

[5:09 PM]Sandalf13: To see the suture lines of Middle-earth

[5:09 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): Personally though, I would take Gandalf's lecture. That dude is wise.

[5:10 PM]Arien Valar: one ride on Nahar Imagine to sit on a horse like that and gallop through Middleearth with fiery flames coming from his hoofs .. and the wind of his speed

[5:10 PM]Arien Valar: i also bet his pace is also very light

[5:10 PM]Eönwë Valar: You know, for fun I might turn that last question into a poll.

[5:11 PM]Sandalf13: Where do we vote on these polls you keep mentioning? I am sure that I am missing something, as usual.

[5:11 PM]Eönwë Valar: When you see them, just click on the reponse you want, then there should be an accept button.

[5:12 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: They're generally put in harbor

[5:13 PM]Eönwë Valar: There's the poll, 2 week timer. That'll entertain us for the two weeks before the Anniversary meeting.

[5:14 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): Pin it?

[5:15 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'm a bit torn between a night on Fastiticalon's back (like Phar said, amazing view), or a song from Luthien (that woman moved Mandos to tears. It's gotta be something to hear her sing.)

[Eönwë Valar pinned a message to this channel. See all pinned messages. — 09/15/2024 5:15 PM

[5:15 PM]Eönwë Valar: Pinned, thanks for the suggestion.

[5:16 PM]Arien Valar: where is Fastiticalon:?

[5:17 PM]Eönwë Valar: Fastitocalon, the last of of the great turtle-fish. Hes so large, sometimes mariners mistake him for land.

[5:17 PM]Eönwë Valar: So if you're a mariner, or even just like the view of the vast ocean under a beautiful starry night, it might be worth it knowing he won't spoil the mood by drowning you.

[5:18 PM]Arien Valar: ah i see . Middlearth ' s wandering turtle

[5:18 PM]Arien Valar: wandering isle .. well you know the pandarian great turtle

[5:18 PM]Eönwë Valar: Aye.

[5:20 PM]Eönwë Valar: Fastitocalon is likely a Middle-Earth myth related to the fall of Numenor, but we know there's some larger-than-lief creatures in Arda, so his existence (in Arda) isn't out of the realm of possibility.

[5:20 PM]Sandalf13: The Hindoo Earth

[5:21 PM]Arien Valar: good ole terry .. RIP

[5:21 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Turtles all the way down.

[5:21 PM]Sandalf13: Talk about a weighty load...

[5:22 PM]Eönwë Valar: Perhaps a distant cousin: YouTube - Gamera vs. Gyaos Clip - Turtle Power!

[5:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: Heh, I worked for my sea turtle: Wowpedia - Turtles All the Way Down is an achievement awarded for players who loot a [Sea Turtle] from any high-level fishing pool in Northrend, Cataclysm areas, or Pandaria.

[5:24 PM]Eönwë Valar: OK ladies and gents, this is a good place to bang the gavel.

After-Meeting

[5:24 PM]Eönwë Valar: Aftermeeting:

[5:25 PM]Eönwë Valar: Thanks for joining in the fun of the Tolkien Lightning Round.

[5:25 PM]Sandalf13: "Acer saccharum, the sugar maple, is a species of flowering plant in the soapberry and lychee family Sapindaceae. It is native to the hardwood forests of eastern Canada and the eastern United States.[3] Sugar maple is best known for being the primary source of maple syrup and for its brightly colored fall foliage.[4] It may also be called "rock maple," "sugar tree," "sweet maple," or, particularly in reference to the wood, "hard maple,"[5] "birds-eye maple," or "curly maple," the last two being specially figured lumber.[6][7]

[5:26 PM]Arien Valar: for me it is time to say good night and ride on Nahar through the fields of Elanor and other nice areas ~

[5:27 PM]Eönwë Valar: Take care Arien :}

[5:27 PM]Eönwë Valar: I too must be off. Take care all, good night, sleep well, and have fun :}

[5:27 PM]Sandalf13: You really should try some real maple syrup with your pancakes sometime, Ar...

[5:27 PM]Sandalf13: Namaie Eonwe!

[5:27 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I think I've had it in the past. It's tasty.

[5:28 PM]Sandalf13: Namarie all, until later...the usual late Sunday afternoon things remain to be done, with no one to do them, except for me..sei gesund, till later!

[5:28 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!

[9:27 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Ar!

[11:34 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya, did not mean for nap to be quite this long.

[11:34 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Personal gaming report:

[11:35 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: For (non)flashgaming, a few badges this week I've linked before, so we'll go for a fun one...

[11:39 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The Chamber is a puzzle/shooter game where you play a robot, trying to complete each test chamber. Targets to shoot, boxes to move... cats to herd! Initially all you get is the level itself and the name of the level as hint to what to do (and a vague objective counter), but you can also get hints if you're stuck. No timer, infinite lives, have fun!

[11:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Blizzard gaming:

[11:50 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hearthstone: Level 86 on the reward track now.

[11:50 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Kept enough gold to buy the new mini-set immediately, and now it's back to saving again

[11:53 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Finished the quest event too. Last one was interesting, play 12 coins. That could take dozens of games if you're just going by the default coin, but luckily the rogue class has a lot of cards to gain extra coins and to bounce those cards back in your hand Only took me 2 games, and one of those was enough for 11 coins

[11:53 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: After that it was close to get to 4000 experience on time just by the daily quests, but with the coins finished quickly enough, I got 2 dailies a day for the rest of the week, and finished it yesterday.

[11:54 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also finally got my first 5 ranked wins for September, getting this month's card back once again.

[11:57 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: brawl is an old one, Clockwork Card Dealer: First card you draw on turn 1 is 1 mana, on turn 2 is 2 mana, etc. Standard mode this time. What I did was get one card of each mana cost for the first 6 mana, finding pretty much the tankiest one I could get, and then loading up the rest with as many 7 to 10 mana cards as I could. It only helped me win once, but it was definitely fun this way

[11:59 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Warcraft Rumble: Still no collection level this week, as expected. Got a few more cards up to level 18, just 3 or 4 level 17s left. And things will only get slower. Though it might be an idea to start buying single stars on the Grid if they come with an xp bonus just to hop things along.

September 16, 2024

[12:00 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also no quality upgrades gained this week, though I did buy an epic core for 1000 gold. Probably going to be short on those in the far future, so I'll keep a look out on how often they're offered in the gold shop.

[12:02 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got yet another dungeon level on Cenarius, number 20! And in this Beast week, turns out the Dire Maul dungeon is a pretty good fit for my Hogger deck, as I got through levels 18 and 19.

[12:06 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Heroic sigil campaign is getting interesting though! Defeated Raene Wolfrunner with all families, though some took a try or two. And in the next zone, Darkshore, Murkdeep was such a mess, as he massacres anything that comes close, whether it's single target or cleave. You basically need a specific choice of minis to get through it, either outranging his aggro like the siege wagon or plague farmer, or some unbound that do damage on impact, such as the s.a.f.e. pilot, or the dragon whelp eggs. For my horde family I had to throw the entire team out and rebuild for this one fight, the others mostly got it done on their own, but with serious effort and the luck of having some of those minis already present

[12:07 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And that's at a 4 level advantage, too!

[12:08 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: But from what I read, Murkdeep is pretty much the hardest until several zones further, so we'll see. At least I'll have the internet to help me out with tactics for puzzly ones like this I kind of expected this kind of fight to show up eventually, where they become more of a puzzle to figure out with the right minis, rather than my default teams, but I didn't expect it while still 4 levels overleveled.

[12:12 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: But that puts me at 111 sigils now, which is nicely Bilbo-ish

[12:13 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: WoW:

[12:15 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Raiding has started, but I don't have the max level yet so I'm watching from the sidelines a bit until I get to join in the fun; looks like my group cleared Normal already! I'll be there in 1-2 weeks I'm sure, at level 76 now.

[12:19 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: No new weekly quests until 80 either, but I've been doing a lot of Delves, one each day. Gives some xp too! I'll keep going on tier 3 until Brann hits level 15 - he's at 11 after today - since that's his cap until you get to higher difficulty bountiful delves. For which you need level 80, and the leveling campaign complete. I've got the first 4 delves done on tier 3 now, I'm not doing those I haven't encountered in the game's questing/zone yet, because you never know if a quest will lead you there

[12:20 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Those being Earthcrawl Mines, Fungal Folly, Kriegval's Rest and Waterworks.

[12:22 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In questing, though, I fought off a nerubian attack, got repairs on the Coreway underway, did a special follower version of the Rookery dungeon, and finally lured their general and a bunch of forces to the Cinderbrew Meadery to blow the entire place up.

[12:24 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: After that I headed down the Coreway to the Ringing Deeps (should that be Depths?) to meet up with the Machine Speakers and explore their city. And now I'm on my way to fend off a hostile kobold army, finding a friendly kobold along the way. That's new, but unexpected allies are always fun

[12:25 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And that's my report for the week!

[12:25 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, wait, got a toy from the delves as well, Ancient Construct. A robotic target dummy

[12:25 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: But that's it!

[12:28 AM]Eönwë Valar: I'm questing in Hallowfall now.

[12:28 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah, the third zone, right?

[12:28 AM]Eönwë Valar: Yeah.

[12:29 AM]Eönwë Valar: I'm seeing an Anduin ship already, but we'll see what happens.

[12:29 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yes, I've heard. Still rooting for Taelia but she's been kinda left behind in the Shadowlands.

[12:30 AM]Eönwë Valar: I have absolutely no reason to do it, but i'll go ahead and ship Taelia with Arator, just because.

[12:30 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: haha

[12:35 AM]Eönwë Valar: I don't recall any lore showing Anduin and Taelia hanging out, but I feel a "kindred spirits" angle being played with the current ship.

[12:36 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: It was mostly her status as longlost daughter of Bolvar, and the brief interactions they had in Kul Tiras, she basically seemed to be made to ship. But that might go for the new one as well.

[12:39 AM]Eönwë Valar: I suppose that's possible. I'll let the story play out a little longer, but my level of annoyance will be directly proportional to the amount of lore they butchered to bring her into existence, so we'll see.

[12:39 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hah.

[12:40 AM]Eönwë Valar: I haven't read external materials on the Hallowfall denizens, and I haven't finished the hub, but there's only two ways the Arathi Empire could be down there: it still exists out there somewhere or time-travel shenanigans.

[12:41 AM]Eönwë Valar: There, forgot it took a double-pipe.

[12:41 AM]Eönwë Valar: The latter will raise my ire more than the former.

[12:42 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: ..The former seems obvious, since it exists here. One of the "stay a while and listen" conversations at the end of Dorn mentions them arriving in a fleet some years ago.

[12:43 AM]Eönwë Valar: I recall an "And we awoke here" line from dialogue as well.

[12:44 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: "Anduin Wrynn says: I asked about why they keep calling me "Arathi"... and apparently an Arathi armada arrived on Khaz Algar a number of years ago.

Anduin Wrynn says: They're said to have formed a settlement in the caverns beneath the island. It sounds impossible..."

[12:46 AM]Eönwë Valar: I'd go digging for a quote for mine, but I'd be liable to run into spoilers, so I'll come back to it when I'm done with the zone.

[12:46 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Sure

[12:47 AM]Eönwë Valar: Oops, I collected all my storm spirits. Better go turn that in and free up a quest slot.

[12:47 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: You're at max quests?

[12:47 AM]Eönwë Valar: Always

[12:48 AM]Eönwë Valar: I have a few from raids to get the easy ports open that I keep meaning to go back and complete.

[12:48 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I wonder how far off I am. I had to abandon some side quests in Azure Span, sstill haven't picked them back up.

[12:49 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And yeah, I have a few of those as well.

[12:49 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: That's why I'm documenting any sidequest breadcrumbs I'm encountering rather than picking them up, I'll get to it after the main quests

[12:49 AM]Eönwë Valar: Ugh, and still one from Shadowlands. I thought BFA was annoying, then came Shadowlands. I wasn't into that expansion at all.

[12:53 AM]Eönwë Valar: Not excited by the prospect of going back through Shadowlands for transmogs/collectibles.

[12:53 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I kinda liked Shadowlands myself

[12:55 AM]Eönwë Valar: Everyone can like what they like :} It just wasn't that great for me.

[12:56 AM]Eönwë Valar: Don't like what they did to Uther. That probably doesn't help.

[12:57 AM]Eönwë Valar: Lol, turning in that quest didn't free up a quest spot.

[1:17 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!

[1:21 AM]Eönwë Valar: Sleep well.

September 17, 2024

[7:52 AM]Eönwë Valar: Ok, so I just had to fly towards the giant crystal in Hallowfall for obvious reasons, and it provided some amusement.

[4:17 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Moth to a flame?

[6:33 PM]Eönwë Valar: And Icarus flying too close to the Sun, and just wanted to see if it was a reachable place.

[11:37 PM]Eönwë Valar: It's such a relief to find all these giant crustaceans willing to help us fight the Nerubians.

Thus ends this week's meeting. Come back and see us next week!
