Aiya All! I am getting ready for our meeting later on this
afternoon It is a glorious day here....it was 44 Grad F overnight,
but the high today will be around mid-70s. Sunny sky, no clouds,
and a light breeze. Perfect for working outdoors, so I will. My
tomatoes are finally coming in, and I have been busy making tomato
paste, dehydrated tomato chips, and tomato soup! So good. Need to
get outside for a final (potentially) grass cutting, and a nice,
gentle run before our get together. Too nice outside to be inside
right now, so I shall say namarie for now, and check in later.

The average desert in the northern hemisphere receives about 5" of
rain PER YEAR, but that is not every year, and that is an average.
It may not rain for three years, then there is a sudden 15" rain.
Hard to count on the rain in the desert, I guess.

The new expansion has a lot of things in it, a few highlights are:
Direct Enlistment for pirate factions, in a FW-like system that
interacts with militia FW called "insurgency".
Expansion of corp jobs with auto payments and new types.
New skinning options
Oh and a brand new system with new mechanics

A platformer, where you play a little slime trying to get to the
exit, while avoiding spikes. Only buttons are jump, with walljumps
also used to switch direction, and switch to switch blocks in and
out of existence. Correct timing needed!

Diablo 4: More progress on my seasonal character, completing
chapter 2 and doing some seasonal quests, infiltrating some
strongholds for Zakarum documents. Next quest will require
completing chapter 3.

He's also gotten to level 29, unlocking the bone golem summon. I'm
using both summons, and removed my essence spender from the
actionbar to make room. Now the routine is mostly about the
various summons, whose passive talents I'm also focusing on, and
masses of corpse explosion. Quite fun
And unlocked battlepass 10 along the way.

the Unholy Harvester, which fits his battlestyle pretty well

Opened a bunch of new packs, bringing my stack of packs down to
200. Now digging into the standard packs, which I assumed was
still mostly core or classic cards, but apparently they now
contain random cards from the most recent expansions. Which means
a lot of new cards for me

Including 3 new legendaries! Orion, Mansion Manager; Imp King
Rafaam; and the paladin hero upgrade, Lightforged Cariel.

Tavern Brawl is Too Many Portals: Choose a class, get a few random
spells and a whole ton of mage portals, mostly the standard kind
which puts a random minion in your hand, at a 3 mana discount.

Class doesn't really matter much in my experience, gotta get
lucky with the minions. But at the discounts, control over the
game can ramp up quickly.

this stage yet, which instead allowed me to focus on holiday
events!

For Pirate's Day, I bought the Highland Drake's Pirate's Day
armor. Pretty expensive for 50k, but it looks nice.

With my druid I've been fighting Coren Direbrew in the instance
daily, and managed to get the Proto-drake's Brewfest Armor from
his random lootbag. I've also done some Valdrakken Brewfest daily
quests for tokens, and visited all 12 locations to donate to
brewfest barrels across the Dragon Isles, getting a bunch more
tokens as well as the Round on the House achievement. And that got
me enough tokens to buy the new Brew Barrel toy

But my main Brewfest specialist is my dark iron dwarf shaman
Calmoria, who's been doing the brewfest activities at the dwarven
starting zone! She's been doing ram racing dailies mostly,
delivering dozens of barrels and barking advertisements in the
city of Ironforge. That got her from level 11 to level 13 so far,
and enough tokens to buy the Orange Brewfest Bulwark, a
beer-themed shield appearance, which she's using right now
Next up, saving for the goggles appearance.

Through the many daily quests or otherwise from Brewfest, I
completed the trading post tender for September, giving me the
Crusty Crawler mount as reward, and allowing me to buy a celestial
slyvern pet called Slyvy. Saving up the rest for later months, for
the class weapons I really like (druid, monk, and possibly hunter)
and any other stuff that may come up on the trading post.

Between Brewfest and the local RL faire, I didn't get to do too
much alt questing. But I did complete the second main quest arc in
Revendreth with the mage, meeting up with Sire Denathrius and
preparing to take on the Accuser.

And the goblin warrior beat up a few debtors, and she got to level
4 while doing so. Next up she'll be doing more party preparations
as well as trying out for the Footbomb match!
