Before-meeting
(times for Ar-Pharazon in the Netherlands)
Varda Valar (20:25:52): Aiya fellow marathoners :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (20:26:00): Aiya!
Varda Valar (20:27:30): Aiya Phar :)
Varda Valar (20:27:59): Lurkers, please make some
typed remark here if only to say hi, to be counted for the AIM
anniversary marathon. :)
Varda Valar (20:29:03): So far for AIM I show
Arien-(Valar), Ar-Pharazon, AuSteinM-(T), Eonwe-(Valar), Varda-(Valar)
Varda Valar (20:29:11): Did I miss anyone?
Varda Valar (20:29:30): For the chats, time zones
don't matter, huzzah!
Ar-Pharazon-V (20:29:32): Well it does say Gwaihir's
in the room.
Varda Valar (20:30:06): Good point.
Varda Valar (20:30:20): I haven't been counting
lurkers in AIM if they don't at least say hi, either.
Varda Valar (20:30:24): er, in Discord
Varda Valar (20:31:29): I've been scrolling back in
Discord to catch remarks. Need your help in AIM though.
Arien V (20:31:42): aiya Varda :)
Varda Valar (20:31:53): Aiya Arien!
Varda Valar (20:32:00): I see you on Discord too. :)
Varda Valar (20:32:28): I helped Elwing in rl on
LotRO, standing next to her, but haven't quite made it into game.
Should be there shortly.
Arien V (20:32:52): cool
Varda Valar (20:32:53): She's visiting at our house,
brought birthday presents for Bilbo-(V) and Sauron-(Valar)
Arien V (20:33:27): :D nice reason to visit ! happy
birthday to either celebrant :)
Varda Valar (20:34:23): also fun for the Valar Guild.
So many party reasons!
Arien V (20:36:09): Ding 115 on the Guardian :)
Varda Valar (20:37:54): Huzzah!!!
Varda Valar (20:38:09): I'm also not counting
talkers. *sigh* That cut out a batch on the list
Ar-Pharazon-V (20:38:10): grats!
Arien V (20:38:36): Thanks :D
Varda Valar (20:38:58): That's really great news,
having a tank that high. We can do wonders with that help in Mordor.
Instances will be coming up on a later update, hopefully with us ready.
Arien V (20:40:08): just have to spec tank ^^ i am
the damage guardian on her
Arien V (20:40:33): thats why i have trouble keeping
agro when you are there L:)
Varda Valar (20:41:49): It helps if I'll start late
and light instead of hard. It's proper protocol to let a tank get a
couple of hits in before dps starts up.
Varda Valar (20:42:19): Guardians are one of the few
that can still get aggro vs that kind of madness, but it takes practice.
Varda Valar (20:42:46): Fortunately it's free to have
both trees, dps and tank, on the Guardian.
Arien V (20:43:06): yeah just have to trait that
Arien V (20:44:31): hmmm you cant switch specs in
Lotro or and have both?
Arien V (20:44:37): or all three?#
Varda Valar (20:45:40): You can have all three if you
pay mithril coins for the third tree.
Arien V (20:46:00): ah right
Varda Valar (20:46:01): You can switch trait
trees/specs on LotRO between combats.
Varda Valar (20:46:05): Elatan
says: [Note: error. This is an old post, not current.]
Varda Valar (20:46:07): Should anyone happen to play this (atm in
open beta) I am on dragon shard, ingame mail : Makarilli@vala0mar
Ordinary name : Makarilli and in the
guild/kin : The Last Alliance.
Varda Valar (20:47:06): Ancalagon's reply to Elatan:
Varda Valar (20:47:08):
I am also
playing Neverwinter. My main character is on Beholder (which seems to
be the forgotten shard!) but since you only get two character slots
anyway there's no reason why I couldn't make a character on another
server if we designate an official Valar shard.
Oh on
Beholder I am:
Ashra Firestoker
Omira Sablesoul
@kemiroch
Varda Valar (20:50:17): ok, I put up all the chatters
I know of in AIM and Discord.
Varda Valar (20:50:34): Feel free to say yay on the
forum, those who haven't already.
Varda Valar (20:50:36): http://valarguild.proboards.com/thread/1618/happy-20th-anniversary-celebrations
Ar-Pharazon-V (20:50:40): yaaaay...
Ar-Pharazon-V (20:50:53): *Fluttershy voice*
Varda Valar (20:51:04): awww, cool pony
Eonwe Valar (22:35:25): Heya All.
Ar-Pharazon-V (22:35:30): Aiya!
Eonwe Valar (22:35:38): I'm missing what game Elatan
and Ancalagon are talking about?
Varda Valar (22:35:40): Aiya!
Varda Valar (22:35:46): It's on the forum
Arien V (22:36:04): aiya :)
Varda Valar (22:36:18): http://valarguild.proboards.com/thread/1283/neverwinter-dungeons-dragons?page=1&scrollTo=6830
Varda Valar (22:36:26): There's the direct link
Eonwe Valar (22:36:43): That's an old post.
Eonwe Valar (22:36:56): Elatan posted that back in
2013
Varda Valar (22:37:22): sorry, you're right. Someone
bumped the post up to Recent Posts.
Eonwe Valar (22:37:43): Aye.
Eonwe Valar (22:39:45): That recent post is looking
more like someone trying to get people to click on a link than a
legitimate question to me.
Varda Valar (22:40:23): ugh, hope not
Varda Valar (22:41:45): 6 of us on LotRO atm :)
Eonwe Valar (22:41:59): The more I look at it, the
more that's what I think it is.
Varda Valar (22:42:01): Miriel is posting some Anniv
screenshots to Discord.
Ar-Pharazon-V (22:42:07): Seems suspiciously like it,
yes.
Ar-Pharazon-V (22:42:21): Spammer of sorts.
Varda Valar (22:42:27): It does look questionable
Eonwe Valar (22:42:53): Don't be surprised if the
post disappears, heh.
Eonwe Valar (22:45:52): Afk for a moment.
Eonwe Valar (22:59:20): Back.
Varda Valar (23:04:12): Aiya!
Eonwe Valar (23:04:26): Heya :}
Varda Valar (23:04:31): It is time for the meeting.
How many do we have awake at the moment? :
Eonwe Valar (23:05:06): I am, also working on getting
the WoW 20th Anniversary pictures up.
Varda Valar (23:05:22): I was too :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:05:30): I'm here, though also doing
the class quests for my next druid champion, in the Broken Shore
questline.
Varda Valar (23:05:35): Miriel sent in some more, and
I have not yet put up Lenwe's.
Varda Valar (23:05:45): Three, yay!
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:05:50): I'll see about Arien.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:06:19): Oh, she's also in the
room.. I guess I could poke her in bnet but I wonder if that would
alert her more than simply chatting here would.
Varda Valar (23:06:34): She's in LotRO
Varda Valar (23:06:41): I'll mention to her
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:06:40): Correct, she's not on bnet
:D
Varda Valar (23:06:53): but I need to get on LotRO,
heh. No hardship
Arien V (23:10:24): hai :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:10:34): Aiya :)
Varda Valar (23:10:39): hehe - Aiya!
Eonwe Valar (23:11:28): Heya.

Steam group?
Eonwe Valar (23:29:29): Aye, it was. No response from
him to the GSMU for this year.
Varda Valar (23:30:48): In Steam he's: STEvil of Big
Game Hunters
Varda Valar (23:31:06): That's not good.
Eonwe Valar (23:31:40): ?
Varda Valar (23:32:12): Not good to hear our Steam
guy isn't answering, right when we had a request for it.
Eonwe Valar (23:32:24): Ah.
Varda Valar (23:33:00): Maha-Today at 4:31 PM
I am currently uploading the screen shots from the early LotRO 20th,
placing them in our #screenshots text channel
Varda Valar (23:34:34): From our Discord group.
They've heard concerns mentioned about collecting the transcript.
Varda Valar (23:34:52): One, it can be simply
copy/pasted from there to whatever we want.
Varda Valar (23:35:10): Then there are programs that
can be used. I'll try to locate them all, sec.
Varda Valar (23:35:37): Elladan-Yesterday at 7:30 AM
@Varda here is the way to save discord transcripts

Varda Valar (23:39:04): Anyway, something to consider.
Varda Valar (23:39:18): Any other web comments?
Varda Valar (23:40:37): Also, we're open to more
suggestions on handling the Discord trancripts.
Varda Valar (23:40:41): We have time. :)
Varda Valar (23:42:01): Then there's just looking
back on the scroll in the meeting_place channel.

Once a meeting is called to order and participants are listed (please
remember you may edit/add to your previous msg by using the edit
function per chat entered) You may come back and highlight all of the
chat and ctrl+c to copy and then ctrl+v to paste into a
document/mail/what ever you like (remove formating for plain text).
Varda Valar (00:04:47): Sauron-(Valar) says hi! He's
passing rl popcorn around.
Arien V (00:04:59): *steals*
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:05:13): eeeevil popcorn?
Varda Valar (00:05:26): yes, for diabetics. ;)
Eonwe Valar (00:05:31): Heya to Sauron :} Glad he's
passing rl popcorn around. If he were passing digitla popcorn to real
people, I'd say you all are in the Matrix :}
Eonwe Valar (00:05:38): *digital
Varda Valar (00:05:54): No worries. *passes popcorn
around to your imaginations*
Eonwe Valar (00:06:00): :}
Varda Valar (00:07:43): These games kind of are the
matrix
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:08:00): Except for the
self-awareness? :)
Varda Valar (00:08:32): We are all Neo? :)
Arien V (00:08:34): Thanks Sauron :)
Eonwe Valar (00:08:39): "If we wanted to we could
shut these machines off..."
Varda Valar (00:08:45): Noooo
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:09:07): But we don't want to, so
the point's moot!
Eonwe Valar (00:09:09): I've got that scene in my
mind now :}
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:09:36): moot as an ent
Arien V (00:10:22): hrooom hrroom rum tata tata booom
Varda Valar (00:10:27): :)
Varda Valar (00:10:46): Feel free to post a bit of
the entmoot as your Tolkien Moment.
Eonwe Valar (00:11:21): The sun rises on the mooting
of the Ents? :}
Arien V (00:11:53): maybe it helps growing new
Entings :)?
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:12:04): not a bad idea, I'll grab
the book
Varda Valar (00:12:29): Please say something before
posting a Tolkien Moment so we don't cross up. :)
Arien V (00:20:24): I ve got something :)
Varda Valar (00:20:42): Fire away. Still typing mine
up. :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:22:11): I've got a choice between 2
surrounding the entmoot...
Varda Valar (00:23:44): You can type them both into
notepad while Arien is putting hers up.
Varda Valar (00:23:56): Mine's ready to go after
Arien.
Arien V (00:28:20): "At first Merry
and pipin were struck chiefly by the variety they saw: the many shapes,
and colours, the differences in girth, and height and lenth of leg and
arm, and in the number of toes and fingers (anything from three to
nine*. A few seemed more or less related to Treebeard, and reminded
them of bech-trees or oaks. But there were other kinds. " ..
Arien V (00:28:26): a bit further down
Arien V (00:31:58): "But when the Ents all gatherered
round Treebeard's, bowing trheir heads slightly and talking in their
low musical voicews, and looking intently at the strangers,, then the
hobbits saw that they were all of the same kindred, all had the same
eyes: not all so old or deep as Treebeard's , burt all with the same
slow, steady, thoughtful expressions, and the same green flicker."
Arien V (00:32:06): quote finish
(top)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:32:26): Funny, that's the bit right
before one of the moments I'm about to give :D
Varda Valar (00:32:53): Nice, like a theme going. :)
Varda Valar (00:35:28): Fire when ready, Phar.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:36:53): Alright, here's the first
one:
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:37:12): "As soon
as the whole company was assembled, standing in a wide circle around
Treebeard, a curious and unintelligible conversation began. The Ents
began to murmur slowly: first one joined and then another, until they
were all chanting together in a long rising and falling rhythm, now
louder on one side of the ring, now dying away there and rising to a
great boom on the other side.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:37:28): Though he could not catch
or understand any of the words - he supposed the language was Entish -
Pippin found the sound very pleasant to listen to at first; but
gradually his attention wavered.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:37:37): After a long time (and the
chant showed no sign of slackening) he found himself wondering, since
Entish was such an 'unhasty' language, whether they had yet got further
than Good Morning; and if Treebeard was to call the roll, how many days
it would take to sing all their names. 'I wonder what the Entish is for
yes or no,' he thought."
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:37:41): end quote
(top)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:38:16): I just liked the way the
Entish conversation is described, almost like a song, and of course
there is the likely exaggeration by Pippin about how long things take,
repeated in a way in the movie :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:39:37): Typing up the second now,
feel free to put yours in first.
Varda Valar (00:41:42): If yours is more on the moot,
we can let it go up next. Mine is well away from that. And so is
Eonwe's which he left in a side note, as he has to leave.
Varda Valar (00:41:46): Namarie, Eonwe!
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:41:58): Namarie!
Arien V (00:42:11): Namarie Eonwe :)
Eonwe Valar (00:42:12): Sorry my friends, but I must
now go. The realm of "the Real" calls for my attention, to refer back
to our Matrix conversation earlier :}
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:42:23): Good luck!
Varda Valar (00:42:29): Namarie for now!
Eonwe Valar (00:42:42): I'll leave my computer up
until tonight. Take care all, good night, sleep well, and have fun :}
and Happy Anniversary :}
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:42:59): Happy anniversary!
Varda Valar (00:43:02): Nice for the scroll back. No
waiting on the transcript!
Varda Valar (00:43:08): Happy 20th!
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:43:15): Is that in Discworld - I
mean Discord - too?
Arien V (00:43:34): *giggles*
Arien V (00:44:52): yes indeed you can .. i mean you
can try to iron it up of course but you might end up with a flat cord
instead of a Diskord :)
Varda Valar (00:45:15): :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:46:12): Right, here's my second
one. Not too long after the first one, but a nice confirmation of
something we already knew, but a lot more concrete than I knew was
available.
Varda Valar (00:46:31): Sounds good.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:46:31): "'Will
you really break the doors of Isengard?' asked Merry.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:46:40): 'Ho, hm, well, we could,
you know! You do not know, perhaps, how strong we are. Maybe you have
heard of Trolls? They are mighty strong. But Trolls are only
counterfeits, made by the Enemy in the Great Darkness, in mockery of
Ents, as Orcs were of Elves.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:46:53): We are stronger than
Trolls. We are made of the bones of the earth. We can split stone like
the roots of trees, only quicker, far quicker, if our minds are roused!
If we are not hewn down, or destroyed by fire or blast of sorcery, we
could split Isengard into splinters and crack its walls into rubble.'"
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:47:10): end quote!
(top)
Varda Valar (00:48:08): Very good!
Varda Valar (00:49:59): You have a lot of good items
there. The power of the Ents, for one.
Varda Valar (00:50:02): But Trolls are only
counterfeits, made by the Enemy in the Great Darkness, in mockery of
Ents, as Orcs were of Elves.
Varda Valar (00:50:10): and that. Much to consider
there.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:50:19): Yes. That was the bit I
referred to at the start.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:50:50): Interesting to think how a
tree is so much stronger than a rock :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:51:09): I guess paper beats rock
after all!
Varda Valar (00:51:13): True. Maybe we should keep
this from the dwarves?
Varda Valar (00:51:16): hah!
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:51:18): hehe
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:51:31): Soon they'll want
treehouses like the elves.
Varda Valar (00:53:46): Stone platforms that look
like them, up on stalagmites?
Varda Valar (00:54:24): Here's a quote along the
lines of our anniversary theme, perseverance or triumph over adversity:
Varda Valar (00:54:58): Silmarillion "Of the Flight of the
Noldor" last paragraph.
Varda Valar (00:55:08): Then Fingolfin seeing that
Feanor had left him to perish in Araman or return in shame to Valinor
was filled with bitterness; but he desired now as never before to come
by some way to Middle-earth, and meet Feanor again.
Varda Valar (00:55:18): And he and his host wandered
long in misery, but their valour and endurance grew with hardship; for
they were a mighty people, the elder children undying of Eru Iluvatar,
but new-come from the Blessed Realm, and not yet weary with the
weariness of Earth.
Varda Valar (00:55:28): The fire of their hearts was
young, and led by Fingolfin and his sons, and by Finrod and Galadriel,
they dared to pass into the bitterest North; and finding no other way
they endured at last the terror of the Helcaraxe and the cruel hills of
ice.
Varda Valar (00:55:37): Few of the deeds of the
Noldor thereafter surpassed that desperate crossing in hardihood or woe.
Varda Valar (00:55:47): There Elenwe the wife of
Turgon was lost, and many others perished also; and it was with a
lessened host that Fingolfin set foot at last upon the Outer Lands.
Varda Valar (00:55:56): Small love for Feanor or his
sons had those that marched at last behind him, and blew their trumpets
in Middle-earth at the first rising of the Moon.
Varda Valar (00:56:02): ./endquote
(top)
Varda Valar (00:56:24): That has a lot of the Viking
courage and cold lands of JRRT's interests, too.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:57:08): I imagine Fingolfin
would've punched his half-brother in the face if he'd had the chance.
Varda Valar (00:57:19): For sure.
Varda Valar (00:57:42): Eonwe left us a quote for our
ending time.
Varda Valar (00:58:11): Speaking of the Valar Guild
as well as the books:
Varda Valar (00:58:16): "There
Iluvatar permitted the Valar to maintain upon the Earth an abiding
place, a memorial of that which might have been if Morgoth had not cast
his shadow upon the world."
Varda Valar (00:58:19): /endquote
(top)
Varda Valar (01:06:27): Does anyone have any further
comment, suggestion, business?
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:06:42): just glad I made up for
last week by giving 2 ;)
Varda Valar (01:06:50): Yay!
Varda Valar (01:07:13): *a long line of hammers
troops ups solemenly from the conveyor shelf*
Varda Valar (01:07:27): *one presents itself to the
chairperson*
Varda Valar (01:07:38): *kabooooom!*
Varda Valar (01:07:51): *the hammer is let down on
the table*
Varda Valar (01:08:18): *all the hammers pop out tiny
arms and hands and salute the Valar Guild and the hammerpad*
Varda Valar (01:08:32): *they march back to the
conveyor pad and away*
top
Varda Valar (01:08:37): After-meeting!
Arien V (01:08:39): look! they form a 20 in the sky!
Varda Valar (01:08:40): Free chat.
Varda Valar (01:08:42): ahhhh
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:08:45): So they've got legs as well?
Arien V (01:09:11): Happy anniversary :D#
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:09:41): Happy anniversary! *salutes
hammers*
Varda Valar (01:09:49): They do. Or they can
pogo-stick solemnly. I'll go with legs.
Varda Valar (01:10:04): ./salute hammers, hammerpad
Varda Valar (01:10:10): ./salute Valar Guild
Arien V (01:10:26): for me it has to be pogo sticks
*boing boing boing * twenty times
Arien V (01:10:59): to the next twenty :)
Varda Valar (01:11:51): Huzzah!
Varda Valar (01:11:59): ./toast
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:12:05): Yes, 20 more!
Varda Valar (01:12:17): More cheerful, aye, Arien. :)
Varda Valar (01:12:54): We have a lot of people in
Discord, although not as active chatting for meetings. Maybe with you
all there, it will improve.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:14:06): With us there, it'd better!
Varda Valar (01:14:23): Quite right. :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:21:03): Right, let's get a start on
the gaming report.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:21:57): Flashgames:
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:27:18): http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/zoo_rampage
is the first, a rather interesting looking simulation game where you
can play one of various zoo animals, broken loose in a highly
destructible 3d environment. Quite a bit of graphic effort has gone
into it, and it seems quite funny so far :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:29:42): http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/dotowheel
is a puzzle game that I myself can't quite get the hang of. You need to
place pairs of numbers on a sort of wheel, making sure to get 3 of the
same number in a row that will then fuse, to complete the levels.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:29:59): or well, get the most
points :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:34:10): http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/battle_tank
is the third! An aiming and upgrade game where you have to take down
series of tanks on towers to get gold, and use the gold to get more
powerful, before they take you down in their turns.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:35:58): Though it seems the
upgrades might only be temporary? That gives a bit more of a tactical
feel to it if you get far enough.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:36:04): Try it and find out for
yourself!
Arien V (01:49:13): another time :)
Arien V (01:49:47): for me it is time to move to bed
i think :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:49:52): Namarie!
Arien V (01:51:17): Namarie
Varda Valar (01:57:11): Namarie, Sunshine
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:02:42): Blizzard gaming:
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:04:23): Level 222 in Heroes of the Storm now, with a few
new items from chests. Continuing on the Pachimari event: on the last
quest for 10 golden pachimaris now, with 5 to go and just over a week
before event ends. A bit of a close call, perhaps, but we usually get 2
a day so it'll be fine.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:05:44): This week's brawl was the
Mage War again, with me able to choose one of my favorite casters in
both games, Li-Ming, and switching one talent that benefits me
particulary well in a player vs player game versus other mages, so it
was perfect for that brawl.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:07:15): Hearthstone: Still slowly pushing my
classes to 51. Still a few further behind than I'd like, but it always
works out with some liberal quest-choosing.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:09:55): This week's brawl was an
interesting one, build a deck for a class that only uses basic cards
and common/rare cards from the classic set. Back to some old-school
strategies! I also had a priest class card quest at the time I made my
deck, so I built a rather random one made of nothing but priest cards,
no neutrals. It actually did rather well, and when I got a quest to win
5 brawl games it did enough to complete it without any revision
necessary.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:10:06): Occasionally, I can make a
decent deck without having to look it up ;)
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:10:46): WoW:
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:12:18): Got heroic Kil'jaeden down
in 3 attempts this week, very nice. Our raid's dps seems to have
increased by quite a bit, possibly due to the Crucible thing I don't
personally have access to yet, actually. So I'm not actually sure how
that mechanic works.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:14:13): Also got a few good pieces
of loot upgrades, but not all of those from the raid.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:15:39): Cataclysm raid pet hunt
still continuing, got myself a faceless minion from Dragon Soul, and
now have all pets from that raid.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:19:45): Falcosaur quests continuing
as well, now one quest away from finishing the first pet's quests.
After that's done I'll also be able to unlock a new faction for which
some pvping is necessary. That'll be interesting. And annoying.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:21:24): But with another mount at
the end of it.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:24:56): And along the questline I
also get a few new rare pets I caught while battling, and that's always
nice :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:27:35): Finished up with Darkmoon
Faire for this month, 2 to go for the zeppelin mount, as I'm now over
500 tickets.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:36:52): Did Trial of Valor one more
time, and got the last Valarjar souls I needed for the quest. So I'm
done there now, with a new transmog set as reward!
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:38:42): Also poked Mythic Highmaul
back in Draenor, and got the belt I wanted for my dps transmog set. So
I can leave that place behind for now as well.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:41:50): Went to the Wailing Caverns
for the challenge mode for the pet dungeon for the first time. Took a
while, but doable, but alas, no pet from the reward bag. Looks like
I'll be going there a while longer.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:42:07): Did get a new one from
merely finishing it though!
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:43:08): And then there's the Broken
Shore.
(Varda Valar (02:45:29): New fireworks added to the Anniversary page. From Miriel and
Lenwe.)
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:45:49): Did 2 more invasions
through the Broken Shore questline, completing all but Stormheim.
Waiting for that next.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:48:17): On the Broken Shore itself
I witnessed the Nether Disruptor going active (for me), but there
doesn't seem to be a great advantage to be had from that one. No
achievements or appearances.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:48:38): Except for a world boss
going up, but no further effort required to access that.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:53:50): Did a bunch more quests
there, world quests but also normal ones, visiting the flightpoints,
learning more about the area, and starting a smaller questline by a
goblin who gives one quest every day that will eventually lead to a
cave full of treasure.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:54:43): Also completed the quest
that took me into the Broken Shore 5-man instance, the cathedral.
Interesting place, takes place on top of the raid instance, as you can
see the staging area for that down below the balcony.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:56:02): And, also in the Broken
Shore questline, I had a new chapter of class quests, which got me a
new class hall champion, opened up new order advancement options, and
got me exalted with the faction!
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:56:35): From here on any reputation
I get with them will go to paragon supply rewards, which can contain a
new pet.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:56:53): Hmm, what else...
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:57:51): Ah yes, got a few missions
sent out for the 500 supplies, that'll really help me with the overall
goal of 15000. Getting the new champion, and indeed a seventh champion
slot through the order advancement, will help a lot with those kinds of
missions, and others too, since the new champion will also need to be
leveled and geared up :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:59:23): And finally there was the
weekly quest to do 4 mythics. Got a new upgrade from the reward for
that, but the mythic instances I chose were the ones I need patterns
from still, but didn't get any of those. Oh well!
Ar-Pharazon-V (03:00:49): And I think that's the end
of my report!
Ar-Pharazon-V (04:10:10): namarie, transcript
probably coming tomorrow!
Varda Valar (04:10:27): Thank you, Phar :)
