Scarred face like cracked marble,
Bandages soaked by blood again
And again, in Himring where
The stony hills are ever cold –
Once broken, this is how
We will always remember you.
It has been all downhill
After that, or rather
A heavy fall into the chasm;
Fire, blood, stern fury,
Stoic, tragic, writhing pain:
Never mind the love,
The tenderness,
The joy you once had;
In our minds
You will always be falling,
Endlessly falling;
And in our hearts
You will be broken again
And again, and again.
