King Folcwine, son of Folca, the greatest king of
Rohan in history next to Eorl, came to his last moments. He looked at
the black covering of the books, the golden heading of the story. He
laid the book down by his side. He looked out and saw Hallas, dear good
Hallas who had helped him for so long. Hilda, his
only daughter who had helped through so long after his years of grief.
He looked at his only reamaining son, Fengel, who
would become the next king of Rohan after him. He hoped that he would
be a good and kind king and faithful to Gondor, alhough he feared that
he was becoming greedy. Even then Hallas would be around to help the
Mark. He hoped partially that no one
would miss him terribly after he was gone, though he would miss Hallas
and Hilda more than anything even in death. Then he looked at the book
and turned it.
He looked at the book that, years after it original
publication, was edited and rewritten by Hallas's son Rallas, who asked
permission to distribute it in the form of many books to the men of the
Mark so that they could learn of the valour of their warriors. It was
the best seller for years, selling five-hundred more copies than the
book, "Falastan's Guide for Equestrians". He was down to his last
breaths. Then he looked at the golden title of the book and died:
