Aragorn, son of Arathorn II and Gilraen the Fair, was born on March 1st of 2931, third age. Aragorn was only two years old when Arathorn went riding against the orcs with the sons of Elrond and was shot in the eye with an orc arrow and died.
Aragorn, being now the Heir of Isildur, was taken to live in Rivendell with Elrond. His true name and lineage were hidden from him at the bidding of Elrond because the wise knew that Sauron was searching for the Heir of Isildur, if one existed anymore. He was called Estel, meaning Hope.
When Estel was only twenty years old he returned to Rivendell after great deeds with the sons of Elrond. Seeing that he was a man, Elrond told Estel that he was Aragorn, son of Arathorn, and the Lord of the Dúnedain. He also gave to him the heirlooms of his house, the Ring of Barahir and the shards of Narsil, but he withheld The Sceptre of Annúminas until he earned it.
The next day, while Aragorn was walking alone in the woods, he chanced upon Arwen Undómiel. Thinking her to be Lúthien Tinúviel he called to her, "Tinúviel, Tinúviel!" as Beren had done in the Elder Days in the forest of Neldoreth.
She explained to him that she was the daughter of Elrond and had been away with her mother's kin in Lothlórien. And though she was of elven kind and far older than he, Aragorn loved Arwen forever on.
Aragorn told no one of his love save for his mother, Gilraen, and she told no one. But Elrond saw many things and read many hearts and he confronted Aragorn about his love, and told him that he could not be wed to Arwen or anyone else until he was worthy of it. And so he took leave of Elrond, his mother, and Arwen and went into the wild.
For nearly thirty years he served anyone who did not serve Sauron and he performed many great deeds and errantries. He wore many guises and won renown under many names. He went on many journeys with Gandalf the Grey and rode with the Rohirrim and fought for the Lord of Gondor by land and by sea. He also went far into the east and south discovering the ways of Sauron and his followers.
"Thus he became the most hardy of living men, skilled in their crafts and lore, and was yet more than they; for he was elven-wise, and there was a light in his eyes that when they were kindled few could endure."
And when he was forty-nine years old he wished to come back to Rivendell and on the way he stopped in Lothlórien and was with Arwen. She agreed to wed Aragorn, but Elrond would only allow it when he was the king of both Gondor and Arnor. And Aragorn left again to danger and war and came back once in a while and his mother died while he was away.
Many years later, Aragorn met Frodo, the bearer of the Ring, and became one of the nine walkers. Along the journey he chased a group of orcs, found the newly re-embodied Gandalf the White, fought in the Battle of the Hornburg, took the Paths of the Dead, captured a fleet of ships at Pelargir, fought in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, was crowned King Elessar, and married Arwen.
After the War of the Ring, Aragorn had one son named Eldarion and some daughters. He passed away in the year 120 (Fourth Age) at the age of 210. His wife, Arwen, followed soon after.
