Angamaite was the great-grandson of Castamir, who was the Captain of Ships in the army of the rebels of Gondor. Castamir became king of Gondor, but was very unpopular and was slain in a rebellion by Eldacar. Angamaite led the corsairs that attacked Pelargir in 1634 with his brother Sangahyando. The King of Gondor, King Minardil, was slain defending Pelargir.
Angamaite was a dunadan and leader of the Corsairs of Umbar.
