Eonwë (me :}) is looking for images of the Two Lamps Iluin and Ormal. I have seen the one of Iluin by Ted Nasmith, and while it is nice, it is inadequate as it has no matching Ormal :}
I need pictures of matching quality (both image and artistic). If one can be found to match Nasmith's work, that's great.
I am also looking for images of all the Valar. These too must be of good quality. I have images of Ulmo and Melkor, but need ones of the other Valar, as well as the “Lost Valar” such as Eonwë and Salmar if possible. Check out images of Ulmo and Melkor by artists such as Ted Nasmith and you'll have an idea of the quality I'm looking for. Thanks in advance for the help :}

Tolkien Discussion:
Thror has been reading the Silmarillion, and was inspired to ask, "What happened to all the Balrogs between LotR and the Sil?"
Chances are, most were slain in the War of Wrath at the end of the First Age.
Two were killed in the Seige of Gondolin (Gothmog Lord of Balrogs among them) and one is known to have survived until the Third Age (the Balrog of Moria). A brief discussion was held on what the name of the Balrog of Moria may have been. I suggested perhaps calling him "Moria" after his realm would suffice similar to calling the Witch-King "Angmar" after his realm. "Balrog" also works :}
Haldir asked "What happens to Elves after death?" They go to the Halls of Mandos and wait. From there, they may eventually be released into Valinor and given a new body.

Once again it has been a while. Several things have happened, but I won't go into them all. We have a new member or two and lost an old member. Some links have been updated, and a new Quest for 3 ME mod added to the Tourney page.
Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne is looking at a June 7threlease.
Blizzard has revealed an interesting little unique on their page that may be included in patch 1.10.
If you intend to play Warcraft 3:The Frozen Throne, let me know, especially if you will be getting it as soon as it comes out. We need 9 people at least to set up the guild branch through bnet, and the sooner we have 9 assured and a planned meeting time, the better.
Hail and welcome to all new members! I know it has been quite some time since my last update. As could be expected, a good deal has happened in the last month. Haleth has changed his name to Angrod. Faramir has joined us through Dark Age of Camelot. Caranthir has joined us through bnet. Beleg and Haldir joined just last night.
There is a mod out for NWN called "Lands of Arda," using some information from Elatan's Annals of Arda. Check out the Web page here. If you do take a look, be sure to send in a review for the Games Page! :}
The Tourney Page has been updated with a report from Varda on the first successful Quest for Four.
Information has been released on how Warcraft 3:The Frozen Throne will support clans/guilds.
At this point I would say some aspects are still subject to change, but I do not think much of it will. Take a look here.

"This is only a suggestion but it will help guild members get together on NWN. What Turgon-V and I did was make Game Arda and use guild password on action tab and would suggest that be the format for any guild members playing on NWN. I.E. use same names as Guild Diablo 2 games and same password. Hopefully this will help us to play together more often. Sincerely, Gerontius Took"

The Valar Guild on DAoC held their first meeting on Sunday! Irmo reports they will be held every Sunday at 3:30 pm Eastern Time. He has also sent a transcript of the meeting minutes, which you can find here.
The members over on DAoC are also going to try and get together to work together on a Quest. Find out more here.
Blizzard has officially announced that it will be releasing an Expansion for Warcraft 3! It is titled Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. To find out more, go here. I will also be adding this link to the Azeroth and Surrounding Realms page.
Beta test signups forTFT (The Frozen Throne) will begin in February, according to the site's FAQ. Needless to say, yours truly will be trying for it :}

"Aiya All. Yesterday, Sunday Januari 12, at 5:30 Guild Time (EST), the Valar Guild has been officially founded at Dark Age of Camelot, on the server Percival, realm Hibernia! For this joyful occasion the following members were assembled at the Guild Registrator in Tir Na NoG: Elatan, Falathar,Gandalf, Haleth, Irmo, Lindir, Melkor, Orome and Tuvo. These will now forever be remembered as the founding fathers of Valar at DaoC!
The occasion brought old friends and new friends together, together we toasted many merry chats and hunts to come.
May the Guild prosper on DaoC as it has been prosperous in so many virtual worlds since 1997!

This weekend, Turgon, Elenwë, and me(Eonwë) got together for a Quest for 3 on LoD. The results of that game are as follows:
KalSorc-Valar: lvl 9 Sorc,-47,996 Exp
TreasureTurg-V: lvl 9 Sorc, 46,242 ExP
Elenwë-V: lvl 9 Sorc, 48,628 ExP
Total level score was 27, and Total Exp was 142,866.
A new code went out for LoD by blizzard to eliminate hacking. It seems to have helped
Us ME mod guys are planning on getting together next week for some gaming action! If you're interested and want to get in on it, now is the time. Later is too late.

For Thanksgiving day fun, the team of SamWise, Meriadoc, and Varda played Quest for Three, score 25.

Salmar reports that he has begun playing DAoC. For now he is on Excalibur server in Europe, but he hopes to have the US version soon. He is also looking into EQ.

Amillo has decided to retire from the Council. However, he is still with us as an honored member of the Guild. He retains the honor of Vala, and has taken the name Elatan. He now works with Oromë and Melkor in the operation of The Valar, our branch of the Valar Guild on DAoC. He has made a web page specifically for this purpose, and you can see it here. Enjoy retirement mellon :}

Also, Varaya and Khan have put out the new 1.8 version of the ME mod. It has many interesting things, as well as some fixes. Download the mod and check out the readme :}
Warcraft 3 has also been updated. Patch 1.03 was released a few days ago. It makes several Changes, but not all that many major ones. Remember that you cannot view older replays with newer patches.

We have two new records for the Valar Guild Tourney!
The First is for the Middle-Earth Mod! Glaurung reports he, Turgon, and Beleg completed a Quest for Three. They got as far as the Underground Passage, each playing a different character. Glaurung's Dunadan(Paladin) achieved level 8 and got 33,985 EXP. Beleg's Northman achieved level 7 and got 32,659 EXP. Turgon's Sorceress achieved level 7 and got 32,217 Exp. That brings the score to a grand total of 22 levels and 99,861 EXP! Congrats to this team!
Also making a claim to fame are a group of hardcore LoD players, also doing a Quest for Three. Getting as far as the Jail level 1 Waypoint, the team of Varda, Salmar, and Fangorn fought valiantly to survive in hardcore. Varda's Amazon achieved level 11 and got 91,181 EXP. Fangorn's Necro achieved level 10 and got 70,701 EXP. Salmar's Assassin achieved level 12 and got 105,001 EXP. The total score for this group is 33 levels and 265,882 EXP! Congratulations to this group of warriors!

The Mass-Update to the Games Page is completed. All gaming information sent in is now up. Thank you to all of those who sent in their information as requested, making this process easier. If you haven't sent in your gaming information in yet, I still ask that you do, as there will be no information next to your name unless you do.
In addition to the gaming information, many other updates were made. Now, for those of you interested in knowing, here's a list of what I did :}

However, we do have Anniversary Tourney games going, and those will be completed by the meeting this Sunday. Get out there and play Tourney games! Make Tourney Maps! Celebrate our five year Anniversary! :}
The Updating Has Begun! If you have not e-mailed me your gaming info, please do so by September 30th. If you have no gaming information by your name, you need to e-mail me with a current list of the online games you play as well as the account/char names for them. Once received, they will be placed. If you have e-mailed me, please check your info to make sure it has been typed/spelled properly and as you want it.

Some important stuff going on this month! First of all, school is back on for many of us, or will be shortly for those of us in college/universities.
Second, We are trying to establish the Valar Guild in Dark Age of Camelot, so if you are over there let us know!
Thirdly, we have been discussing Warcraft 3 Tournament guidelines and rules. If you have input you would like heard you need to get it in soon. E-mail me or Varda.
Fourthly, we are taking suggestions for festivities to celebrate our 5th Anniversary in October. E-mail Varda any suggestions to be disuccsed by the Entire Council.
Many Diablo 2 LoD players have found new fun in trying to play purist characters. To see how this is done, check out the Tourney Page. Feel free to join in the fun!
Finally, Dior has completed his Starcraft/BroodwarMaps Page. It contains over 60 Tolkien-Themed maps!

Happy Warcraft 3 Day! :} Ok so it's not a holiday, but thought I'd say it anyway :} A holiday is coming up however, and a very important one too. It's July 4th, Independence Day for the USA :} I'll probably mention it here again tomorrow, but thought I'd wish everyone reading this now a Happy Early Independence Day! :}
Also, Congratulations to Bert, the Hobbit-roasting, Dwarf-eating Troll (ok so he never got the chance to roast a Hobbit or eat a Dwarf :}), who has been redeemed and transformed through the process of Maia testing to become Gandalf! :}
There's also been an update on how to get to the ME mod info on Nathalia's site. You must now click on "Spielchen," then Diablo 2, then ME mod.
Also, just to make the page look more interesting, I decided to color-code the Preferred Races listing on The WC3 players page. The Night Elf color is green. The other races will get a color as soon as someone chooses them as his or her preferred race.
More updates have been made. The Warcraft 3 page now displays 2 people who have reserved the game. It also will now display the preferred race of anyone who plays WC3.
I have taken over several gaming pages from Varda, and they should all be completely updated and fixed. If you find anything wrong with any of the links, please let me know, listing the page, section, and link, as well as anything else to make my search for the problem easier :}
Good News! Our very first Game Review has been sent in by Glaurung! It is on Dungeon Siege and is now up on the Reviews page.
If you would like to send in a Review, all you need do is play an online game. Then send me a description of it, including setting, plot, gameplay, and any pros and/or cons you feel this game has.
Also, I have added a new link to the Left Frame. It leads to Nathalia's Webpage, where you can find information on items and characters, including skills, in the ME mod.
More updates have been made. There is now a Warcraft 3 players page up in anticipation for the release. There are more updates to come, and will be announced when they're completed.

Denethor now plays the ME mod, and Celebrimbor is on Dark Age of Camelot.
The patch 1.10 for Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction is slated for June. It introduces a new type of character, the ladder character, which must be made like a hardcore or expansion character, by checking a box. This ladder character cannot play with older characters and will exist in a separate economy from them, at least during the ladder season.
Varaya and Khan's (aka Elrohir and Fingolfin's) mod page and forum have moved to a new server. The Link(s) to their page are updated accordingly. They have a link up to their old forum for now should any of you want to take a look at it.
