Happy New Year! Transition from the 2009 News to 2010 News should happen automatically when midnight hits the US East Coast. Feel free to stop in and watch the proverbial fireworks either explode in awesomeness when it happens, or fizzle out if it doesn't work :} (Note: No fireworks will actually be seen on this page :})
Merry Christmas!
Patch 3.3: Fall of the Lich King is out! Have fun with Icecrown and random dungeons :}
Today is the release of Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood! Have fun (once the servers are back up and you've downloaded it, that is :})
Happy Thanksgiving!

There are new Developer Diaries about the main ingame menu and about combat changes. In addition, the SoM Beta non-disclosure agreement has been lifted. Check these items out at www.lotro.com.
Just a reminder: For lifetimers and those moving to multi-month subscriptions, the chance to get both the Adventurer's Pack and Siege of Mirkwood for $20.00 ends tomorrow.
Day of the Dead runs through today and tomorrow.
Just a reminder: If you haven't done it already, all WoW accounts must be merged with a Battle.net Account by November 11th.
Happy Halloween!
It's official. All WoW accounts must be merged with Battle.net accounts by November 11th. Doing so gets you a penguin pet. To read the post, go to http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=20433765714.
Pictures of our 12th Anniversary festivities on Lothar have been put up. To access them, go to Guild Branches, Lothar, and select Events. I chose the best images I took of our celebrations at each capital.
Happy Twelfth Anniversary, Valar Guild!
The GPMU has been completed and everyone's gaming info is now up. Please check yours to make sure it is correct.
There's a new Lord of the Rings based game coming out this fall, called The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest, for the Nintendo Wii (developed by headstrong Games), DS, Playstation Portable, and PS2 (developed by TT Fusion). It's being published by Warner Brothers Interactive, who has the license now instead of EA. You can see a trailer at the games homepage at http://www.aragornsquest.com/.
Patch 3.2.2 has been released! The old Onyxia raid is no more.
The Valar Guild Games Page Mass-Update has begun! Please respond by September 30th!
Turbine's unveiled the next expansion for Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood! Looks like the max level will be 65 in this new expansion. See the press release at http://www.lotro.com/news/pressreleases/459-the-lord-of-the-rings-online-siege-of-mirkwood
Well, Blizzcon Started today, and there's alot of fun new news from Blizzard already.
The rumours have been confirmed. World of Warcraft's next expansion will be titled Cataclysm. Level cap is 85, it changes the old world, new races Worgen/Goblins for Alliance/Horde, and some interesting guild advancement features. See more here: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/cataclysm/.
For info about the new Battle.net features coming (including cross-game chat), and how this affects Starcraft 2, see: http://www.blizzard.com/blizzcon/recaps/battlenet-panel.xml.
New class for Diablo 3: the Monk! See more here: http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/.
For the Blizzcon report, see: http://www.blizzard.com/blizzcon/recaps/heroes_monsters-panel.xml.
Looks like for World of Warcraft's 5th Anniversary, they're revamping the Onyxia raid to match current raiding standards, and giving Onyxia brood whelp pets to those who log in around the Anniversary. The new raid is coming in 3.2.2. Check out more info at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/onyxia20.html.
The Phrozen Forums have completed their move. The link on the Diablo and His Kin links page has been updated.
The Phrozen Forums are moving to a new host. I mention this because it hosts V&K's forums for the ME mod. You can still get the ME mod itself from Eowyn's (not Eowyn-(V)) web site linked on the Diablo and His Kin links page.
It's recommended by the Phrozen Forums admins that you bookmark www.d2mods.com and www.d3mods.org.
World of Warcraft patch 3.2: Call of the Crusade is out! Give it a go!
Guild branch Player tables will now sort character levels by descending order (i.e., max level players will now be at the top of the list.)
The Links pages are now working once again. This should conclude the repair portion of my Games Page work, but please let me know if you find something that's not working.
Now I can get started on new improvements :}
Sortability has been restored to the World of Warcraft Lothar and Uldaman player tables. Enjoy sorting by Guild Name, Character Name, Race, Level, Class, and Professions!
The LotRO Landroval Player table is now sortable once again! Enjoy looking for info on character by Guild Member, Character Name, Race, Level, Class, and Vocation!
Player Tables are available for World of Warcraft Lothar and Uldaman branches. Lord of the Rings Online Landroval branch coming soon. These are not enabled for sortability right now, but it will be coming soon.
Update: Landroval Player table is now available too :}
The problem with the Main Games Listing has been fixed. You can now see who plays what properly,.. at least with the games in the list that don't go off your screen. Fixes to that coming.
As a reminder, right now clicking on the menu link "Member Games Listing" will sort by honor, and selecting a game from the drop-down menu will make a table of those who play that game.
New information from Blizzard about what's coming in Patch 3.2: The Call of the Crusade! Check it out at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/argent-tournament.html! This includes a new Paladin-only charger from the Argent Crusade, so your humble Paladin-playing Vala is pleased :}
If you missed the Isle of Conquest preview, see http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/3p2/isleofconquest.xml
I've made some adjustments to the menu. First, you'll notice that the "Guild" and "Members" menu selections have been merged into a single "Community" menu.
Second, selection for sorting members' games has been shifted to the menu. Clicking on the "Member Games Listing will give you the table sorted by Honor, and selecting the game will give you the table for that game. This isn't perfect yet, but it's working for now. Try it out and let me know if you have any problems.
Well, the server has officially switched over :}
The "You Know You're in Valar When... link has been fixed. Some more changes, updates, and repairs are still slated, so if you see something that's broken, don't fret.
However, if you see something I claim is working that isn't, please let me know :} This news page is obviously one of the things that should be working :}
If you're a member and you don't see your gaming info in its proper place, let me know.
Welcome to our newest members, Gildor and Imrahil!
As you can see, some improvements and changes have been made to the Games Page. I hope you like your news color-coded!
I'm making several changes to the organization of the page on my end, so bear with me as I work the kinks out.
Update: Most of the stuff is working, but there are a few exceptions that will be fixed during the day.
I know it's been three months since the new year, but none of that time's been wasted. I've been working in the background on the Games Page, trying to improve things to make the page better for both you and me. It's just taking a bit longer than I'd hoped, hehe. The way the Gaming News page is done is one of those changes, and since it could function on its own, I figured "why not" and now you have it. At this time it's more helpful for me than for you :} I've moved to using a standard gregorian year rather than going from GPMU to GPMU (since we're the Valar Guild and the GPMU ends approximately on our Anniversary, perhaps the term "Valian year" is applicable :}). This means I'll be less inclined to ignore putting up news during that month in anticipation of major changes in the GPMU :}
More updates and improvements to the Games Page will come as they're ready.
The Valar Guild Games Site is maintained by Eonwë-(Valar).
