[5:28 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Smiguel 😄

[11:27 AM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): Emu Jima? :brioLUL:

[January 15, 2026

[January 16, 2026

[6:39 PM]Eönwë Valar: "Cloudy WIth A Chance Of Infernals" achievement is available now in Legion Remix. Get it while you have the chance. Don't miss out.

[6:51 PM]Eönwë Valar: When hars are transferred over at the end, apparently we get 2k gold (plus what we collected) and a set of 655 (->102 in the squish) gear.

[6:52 PM]Eönwë Valar: If memory serves, that would be high Adventurer/low Veteran gear.

[6:54 PM]Eönwë Valar: Actually, it might be low Adventurer. Pretty disappointing.

[7:20 PM]Eönwë Valar: Hmm, found a transporter in Orgrimmar to the Halls of Awakening, but I'm not sure what good it does.

[7:21 PM]Eönwë Valar: Oh, Earthen PC. Of course.

[January 18, 2026

[9:25 AM]Eönwë Valar: Rivendell Housing coming to LotRO in Q2. Since I can't get Eregion housing, I'll have to "settle", heh.

[4:08 PM]Varda: Gaming:

[4:09 PM]Varda: Pallando, did you have any gaming news for us? Eve maybe? Not easy to do on the phone!

[4:10 PM]Varda: Also, belatedly, did anyone have any membership news to pass along?

[4:10 PM]Varda: everyone is away hunting miruvor?

[4:11 PM]Varda: Eonwe may or may not be able to show up. Work does get in the way but keeps our internet and games up!

[4:13 PM]Varda: I see Sandalf typing...

[4:13 PM]Varda: Arien is in WoW, Fangorn is in SC2. : )

[4:13 PM]Sandalf13: I attended the annual meeting of the Colorado Groundwater Association last Wednesday evening in the River North Arts District of Denver (RINO), where I enjoyed two free beers at Improper City in what is now a trendy neighborhood (when I lived in Denver in the 1980s, this area was a real slum). Anyway...a few people were interested in The Geology of Middle-earth, and I gave our website address to a number of fellow geologists and engineers who wanted to explore our website.

[4:14 PM]Varda: o wow. : )

[4:14 PM]Sandalf13: Geologists and engineers do not always see eye-to-eye on some topics, but we do get over our differences for meetings like this one!

[4:15 PM]Varda: No two people see eye-to-eye on everything! ; )

[4:15 PM]Sandalf13: So true.

[4:15 PM]Varda: Sounds wonderful.

[4:16 PM]Varda: on to Eonwe's gaming news:

Diablo IV:

[4:20 PM]Varda: Diablo 4:

[4:20 PM]Varda: The Tower is open. Beta.

Heroes of the Storm

[4:21 PM]Varda: Heroes of the Storm:

[4:21 PM]Varda: There's a new patch on the PTR.

[4:21 PM]Arien Valar: uuh i thought it was "The Gate is closedF"

[4:22 PM]Varda: The Tower may be open but hah, the gate is closed. 😉

[4:22 PM]Arien Valar: 🙂

[4:23 PM]Treebeard: It sounds precarious 🙂

[4:24 PM]Arien Valar: Well , remember who said this when?#

[4:24 PM]Treebeard: yes, yes indeed

[4:25 PM]Arien Valar: Let me hear it , anybody can say yes 😄

[4:25 PM]Sandalf13: Precarious or precious, my precious?

[4:26 PM]Varda: (just got back, had to be an owl for a sec)

[4:26 PM]Arien Valar: no i mean "the gate is closed"

[4:26 PM]Varda: The way is shut!

[4:26 PM]Arien Valar: or that yes 😄

[4:27 PM]Varda: Even a chapter heading

[4:28 PM]Arien Valar: yeah i wondered which it was i had in my head i think first was the chapter heading

[4:28 PM]Arien Valar: when Sam , frodo and Gollum get to the black gate

[4:28 PM]Varda: It has bigger letters. 😉

[4:28 PM]Varda: Aye!

[4:29 PM]Varda: An important change in the plot direction, as they have to shift to the tunnel that Gollum wanted to use. Both ways were nassty!

[4:29 PM]Sandalf13: Very.

[4:29 PM]Arien Valar: but then it echoes also of course the phrasing of the old pukel man to baldur and Brego was it ? in rohan through the mountain of the dead

[4:30 PM]Varda: A call-back!

Hearthstone:

[4:31 PM]Varda: Hearthstone:

[4:31 PM]Varda: Patch 34.4 is out.

[4:32 PM]Arien Valar: dunharg .. click .. i forgot the name , that was it .. sorry distraction over , carry on ^^

[4:32 PM]Varda: Dunharrow?

[4:32 PM]Arien Valar: yes

[4:32 PM]Varda: Tolkien stuff is always best. : )

[4:33 PM]Sandalf13: There are many theories out there as to who built the Pukel-men. What are your thoughts?

[4:34 PM]Varda: The Woses. : )

StarCraft 2:

[4:34 PM]Varda: StarCraft 2:

[4:34 PM]Varda: Eowyn, Fangorn, Varda. Faramir.

[4:35 PM]Varda: Go ahead, Arien. : )

[4:35 PM]Arien Valar: if anyone wondered where that Dunharg came from .. it is the German translation of Dunharrow

[4:36 PM]Varda: We have folks that read the books in various languages. It can make recruiting tests a bit tougher on the recruiter. : )

[4:36 PM]Varda: Thank you, interesting, Arien!

Lord of the Rings Online:

[4:36 PM]Varda: Lord of the Rings Online:

[4:37 PM]Varda: The 2026 Public Event Schedule has been posted.

[4:38 PM]Varda: Ranger green dye through Jan 22 Code: THINKINGOFGREEN

[4:38 PM]Varda: LotRO mail is breaking traceries, fix coming 21st, get them out of mail before that to let them be repaired.

[4:38 PM]Varda: This may also apply to enhancement boxes, as mine seem to be affected the same way as the tracery boxes.

[4:39 PM]Varda: Update 46.0.1 Release Notes: Kingdoms of Harad, released on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 with the known bugs at the bottom of the page.

[4:39 PM]Varda: quote:

[4:39 PM]Varda: Some Tracery Token, Sealed Tracery, Enhancement Rune and other packages that were in the mail system when players logged in for Update 46 or 46.0.1 are displaying a general error when attempting to open them. This issue will be corrected in Update 46.1, but players will need to ensure that these packages are not in the mail system at that time so that these items can be corrected.

[4:39 PM]Varda: end quote.

[4:41 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya, reading up

[4:41 PM]Varda: LotRO kinmates that showed up in one of our kin branches this past week, helping us by at least looking active. ; )

[4:41 PM]Varda: Aiya Phar! 🙂

[4:41 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Ar!

[4:42 PM]Varda: Eowyn sent a phone message saying her computer is being wiped and re-done, so that puts in a good-sized delay. : )

[4:42 PM]Varda: But it will be nice and clean and should run even faster.

[4:44 PM]Varda: Any other comments, suggestions, requests for invitations or kin chest items, membership news, et cetera? : )

[4:44 PM]Arien Valar: good luck to her with that

[4:44 PM]Varda: Seconded. : )

[4:45 PM]Varda: On to

Tolkien

[4:45 PM]Varda: Tolkien!

[4:45 PM]Arien Valar: oh i spotted a Shelob creature on battlenet earlier today :

[4:45 PM]Varda: Ah hah!

[4:46 PM]Varda: ohh, I should be taking notes on stuff like that. Saw several of our otherwise invisible people popping in.

[4:46 PM]Varda: Anyway,

[4:46 PM]Varda: Tolkien!

[4:46 PM]Varda: Eonwe and I were discussing mysteries the other day and it put me to thinking,

[4:47 PM]Varda: that there is a type of mystery in unveiling characters and such in Tolkien's work.

[4:47 PM]Varda: Tolkien has something for any subject!

[4:47 PM]Sandalf13: A man for all seasons, yes?

[4:47 PM]Varda: Yes.

[4:47 PM]Varda: Even a rather funny reverse on a mystery.

[4:48 PM]Varda: What is a twist in the secret Frodo thinks he has?

[4:48 PM]Sandalf13: "If I wanted it, I could have it...NOW!"

[4:49 PM]Varda: eep!

[4:49 PM]Sandalf13: So obviously, the big secret that Frodo was carrying around with him was known to some others, besides Gandalf.

[4:49 PM]Varda: Aye. Frodo's friends already know quite a bit about the One Ring and that he has been planning to leave the Shire.

[4:50 PM]Varda: Not everything, but enough to help him!

[4:51 PM]Arien Valar: Frodo himself didnt know everything about the road out of the Shire and Gildor did not want to reveal more to Frodo lest fear would prevent him from journeying on]

[4:52 PM]Varda: Aye. And Gildor set up help for Frodo without telling him.

[4:52 PM]Varda: Tolkien reveals certain secrets in steps over time.

[4:52 PM]Varda: One is Aragorn's real identity, given a step at a time. What are some of these steps?

[4:53 PM]Varda: (although Aragorn does comment that Strider never left. 🙂 )

[4:53 PM]Treebeard: Frodo had much longer than the movie gave him to get ready and present the cover story.

[4:53 PM]Varda: True!

[4:54 PM]Varda: And more time for the eavesdroppers. Conspiracy.

[4:54 PM]Treebeard: ...dropping no eaves here...

[4:55 PM]Varda: heh

[4:55 PM]Sandalf13: I just read a very interesting online commentary about the fact that the love story between Arwen an Aragorn came very late to Tolkien as he was finishing the LoTR. The commentator believed that Tolkien finallyrealized such a story would be a good "modern" counterpoint to the stories of Tuor and Idril, and Beren and Luthien. The relationship between A & A in the text is in itself a big secret, and the first-time reader might not realize the significance of seeing Aragorn standing behind Arwen in the Hall of Fire, with (I believe) his hand on her shoulder. I mean, their entire relationship was a big secret except to those in the know.

[4:57 PM]Varda: A number of things were retconned into the story, same as in most novels in progress.

[4:57 PM]Varda: It made a good wave of continuance of the story idea.

[4:58 PM]Sandalf13: The introduction of the A&A story did not require a lot of changes in the overall story-arc,

[4:58 PM]Varda: Readers had not had the chance to see the Sil.

[4:58 PM]Sandalf13: I mean, Arwen appears how many times in the LoTR?

[4:58 PM]Varda: Aye. It was Aragorn's major motivation, so he did not remain a Ranger Chief.

[4:58 PM]Arien Valar: strider sitting in the dark corner in the Pony .... Butterbur first points him out to Frodo to answer his question, Strider calls Frodo over after Merry and Pippin start blabbing, Strider meets frodo in the sideroom, Frodo and Strider talk, Butterbur brings the letter from Gandalf, Aragorn quotes "All that is gold that does not glitter"Q

[4:59 PM]Varda: She didn't need to appear a lot. Much of their story is in the Appendices because it was not seen by a hobbit.

[5:00 PM]Sandalf13: The commentator that I mentioned earlier did discuss the significance of the history of Arwen and Aragorn in the Appendices. He saw it as another culmination of Tolkien's love for his own wife, Edith, and his idea that men do better when they listen to their wives/women-folk. Good advice, there.

[5:01 PM]Treebeard: Arwen had not yet decided to become mortal as was a choice that she was to make before she could stay with Aragorn.

[5:02 PM]Treebeard: I think Aragorn was partial to older women... way older

[5:02 PM]Varda: Edith's dancing in the woods went into the Luthien story and the Arwen story, aye, but is not actually a mystery. It is great background!

[5:02 PM]Varda: Wayyyy older. : )

[5:02 PM]Varda: The hour has come upon us.

[5:02 PM]Varda: the impatient gavel taps the hammerpad and trips

[5:02 PM]Varda: thunk phlop!

After-Meeting

[5:02 PM]Varda: After-meeting:

[5:03 PM]Arien Valar: Can that be decided as such? i thought Elves would lose their immortality if they fell in love with a mortal (human) .. whether they decided it or not

[5:03 PM]Sandalf13: Growing up in the House of Elrond, surrounded by ancient Elves only, I am not surprised that Aragorn like older women...then again, Numenoreans did live a lot longer than other Men.

[5:03 PM]Varda: Feel free to chat about anything, even Tolkien!

[5:03 PM]Sandalf13: Here is an interesting take on the Tale of Arwen and Aragorn....

[5:03 PM]Sandalf13: YouTube - The Unexpected Tragedy of Aragorn and Arwen

[5:03 PM]Varda: The maid of Nimrodel had children with a human, maybe not love, but she remained immortal.

[5:04 PM]Sandalf13: Does not Imrahil trace his ancestry back to that union?

[5:04 PM]Treebeard: Namaire 🙂 See y'all next time.

[5:04 PM]Sandalf13: Namarie, Treeberard!

[5:04 PM]Arien Valar: well yes where the Prince of Dol Amroth and his followers decendants of those children of Nimrodel?

[5:05 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie , Fangorn !

[5:07 PM]Varda: Namarie Fangorn!

[5:07 PM]Varda: Yes, Sandalf.

[5:07 PM]Varda: Dol Amroth became a princedom of those part human, part-elves, like Imrahil.

[5:08 PM]Varda: Aiya Eonwe! Saw some typing for a sec. : )

[5:08 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Eonwe!

[5:09 PM]Arien Valar: aiya Eonwe

[5:15 PM]Eönwë Valar: As for that last part, men were given a brain of their own for a reason, and a different focus, and one should not mistake "listen to their wives" for "do what their told like a good little boy."

[5:18 PM]Sandalf13: Yes...certainly true; but I think Tolkien was suggesting that far too often men view their thinking as superior to that of women, and in Tolkien's view, this often led to poor choices on their part. I think that considering the advice/foresight of others (such as women) could alleviate a lot of problems. Two minds are better than one, after all.

[5:22 PM]Eönwë Valar: Agreed, but there are plenty of women out there who think their thinking is superior, and will brow beat their husbands until their husbands give in just to get a moment of peace, and men are likely to do it because they're told "happy wife, happy life" and they're supposed to just agree with everything she says because she plays the long game.

[5:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: What is important it to make sure:

[1.) You marry someone who values your thoughts and opinions.

[2.) You marry someone who trusts your judgement, and whose judgement you trust.

[5:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: I say that for both men and women.

[5:23 PM]Sandalf13: Absolutely, I cannot agree more with you.

[5:24 PM]Sandalf13: That brings up an interesting point that might be worthy of consideration here, someday, perhaps. How much did Tolkien discuss his writing/work with Edith? Did he ever share his thoughts with her as he was working on his magnum opus? Is there any way to even trace these conversations, if and when they took place?

[5:25 PM]Arien Valar: Well, my dear Valarites .. it is that time again

[5:25 PM]Arien Valar: i have to give in for tonight

[5:25 PM]Sandalf13: Namarie, Arien! Sleep well and sei gesund~!

[5:25 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie !

[5:26 PM]Eönwë Valar: Sleep well Arien.

[5:26 PM]Varda: Namarie!

[5:26 PM]Sandalf13: I am off too...need to get some dinner in before I get back to work on a laptop project. Will return later for Ar's report. Namarie for now!

[5:27 PM]Varda: Namarie from me too, being called away. : )

[5:28 PM]Eönwë Valar: I wouldn't be surprised if he shared with her, but how involved she was would depend on her interest level I suppose, whether it was a "that's nice dear" or "shouldn't Luthien do X" is probably not traceable if there's no Letters mentioning her involvement.

[5:29 PM]Eönwë Valar: Take care Sandalf.

[5:30 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, caught up, as I was also remix-raiding at the time.

[5:32 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'd say the agreement between men and women is the same as between any two people... take both perspectives into account, and take the best from both worlds 🙂

[5:33 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And given my lack of experience in the relationship area that's probably the extend of my contribution to this topic 😉

[5:48 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'll add one more thing, and then I'll be done:

[If you've married/committed to someone whose judgement you don't trust, I hope you can come to trust it, because, after all, their biggest decision was in choosing you.

[5:49 PM]Eönwë Valar: And if you just can't trust their judgement, consider you chose them, so your own judgement can't be all that great if you chose someone whose judgement you don't trust.

[5:53 PM]Eönwë Valar: To this, Phar, I'd say you don't need to have a "PhD in relationship-ology" to know what you want and know what you should be able to reasonably expect.

[5:56 PM]Eönwë Valar: On the more "you do you" side of it, one can want whatever they want, but that doesn't mean they're going to find someone willing to provide it.

[6:02 PM]Eönwë Valar: And now I must be off, so take care all, good night, sleep well, and have fun.

[And belated heya since I didn't say it when I came in :}

[7:05 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Ar!

[7:06 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya!

[7:06 PM]Sandalf13: Was ist neu mit dir?

[7:06 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Trying to cram as much as possible in the last 30 or so hours of this WoW event 🙂

[7:07 PM]Sandalf13: Good luck on that. I will not keep you, if you are busy!

[7:07 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I can talk now and then! But it'll be a few hours before I make my report, I think.

[7:08 PM]Sandalf13: A few hours may be too long for me, but we shall see. I have a busy day tomorrow, including a mid-morning meeting in old Denver, so I have to travel to get there.

[7:08 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah, good luck then 🙂

[7:10 PM]Sandalf13: Yes...the traffic in Denver is always problematic. Denver is very poorly served by its highway system. For a city this size, there should be a better network of highways through and around the city. When I compare Denver to a city like Kansas City, or Ohlahoma City, I find the highway system lacking, hence, considerable traffic on the existing highways, and many, many delays...even at non-rush-hour times.

[7:27 PM]Sandalf13: For your edification, and to back up my claims above. Out of curiosity, I took a look at the road maps for the three cities above. K.C. is just about the same size as Denver, and Oklahoma City is a little smaller. Nevertheless, both K.C. and Okla. City have much better highway systems than Denver. I think that may be because Denver is the "newest" major city of the three, and saw most of its large scale growth after WWII. Anyway, the Denver map shows that traffic around Denver really does get backed up, almost regularly.

[8:38 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Huh. Looks like legion assault scenario is now soloable.

[3:55 AM]Eönwë Valar: I remember something about that, but it came too late to do me any good.

[4:42 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, as I saved my 10th for the broken shore campaign, it worked out great for me!

[4:42 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Personal gaming report:

[4:42 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: For (non)flashgaming, we've got a lovely little puzzle game today, Hook

[4:44 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Relaxing game, nice music, no timer, infinite tries. Each level you need to withdraw hooks from each other as they're lodged in, making sure to get them in the right order so they don't collide into other hooks.

[4:44 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Bit of timing needed later on because of moving obstacles, but nothing truly enfuriating 🙂

[4:48 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Blizzard gaming:

[4:48 AM]Eönwë Valar: Brrrr

[4:48 AM]Eönwë Valar: Puts on coat and hat to prepare for the Blizzard

[4:50 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hearthstone:

[Level 99 on the reward track, a smidge away from level 100.

[4:50 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: (2410/2500 xp)

[4:51 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yeah, no question that I'll get there this week 🙂

[4:52 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Completed the previous quest event, getting a random full hero skin for the hunter, none other than good old Nathanos Blightcaller.

[4:53 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And with the new miniset out, I bought it for 2000 gold, which is why I always keep that as a minimum in the bank, and a new questing event started as well for 3 weeks.

[4:53 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: More generic weekly quests surrounding it: draw cards, spend mana, summon minions. Always useful... can make decks for it if necessary, but they mostly fill up just from other quests and games.

[4:54 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And rewards for this event are a card back and coin for this miniset.

[4:55 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Brawl this week is appropriately, Nozdormu at the End of Time. Time is sped up, giving only 12 seconds per turn.

[4:56 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Surely there are better ways to handle this, but I figured I'd go with a simple warrior pirate deck since you really can't go wrong with what you throw on the board there.

[4:56 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: That said, some of them combine or need targets which takes up time to play, so it can be stressful to take this route 😄

[4:57 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Warcraft Rumble:

[No new collection level, but getting close to one because of some quality upgrades.

[4:58 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Molten Core is back as raid, and while I did the previous wings, I'm leaving Ragnaros I think. The gold is nice but it's a hassle and you get an uneven amount of valor which just looks bad 😄

[4:58 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I did continue the heroic sigil campaign, completing Rivendare with all families and getting my 150th sigil. 10 to go!

[4:59 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: 5 in Blackrock Mountain, 5 in Moonglade. I outlevel them by a bit on my chosen leaders for each family, but I doubt most of them will go over as easily at this point.

[5:01 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Pvp season has started again, so working on the rewards there, and it's also blackrock week, giving me the opportunity to throw a rarifier on my way behind on stars leader Ragnaros, actually putting him near epic. I'm happy with that!

[5:01 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And finally, quality upgrades!

[5:02 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got the leaders Ysera and Thrall to epic, as well as their final talents, and found an epic bargain in the Grid as well, getting my Swoll Troll all the way from mid-rare to legendary!

[5:03 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Took up most of my gold, but it got him his final talent and made him my second legendary mini. I don't use the swoll troll too much, but it's still nice to have 🙂

[5:03 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: 2 down, about 70 to go?

[5:03 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: WoW:

[5:04 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: No raiding still, since Midnight isn't here 😄 Good thing too, because I really needed my playing time this week.

[5:05 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got a few Brawler's Guild fights in this week, but since it doesn't seem to be going away with patch, I let it go for now. There's also weekly quests for arena skirmish and timewalking, and while I got a few skirmish wins, I'm keeping the rest for tuesday.

[5:05 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: All to give me time forrrr.... Remix!

[5:06 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: So. Much. Remix. Still got a day to go, since it's Europe, and will be spending that time to the fullest as well.

[5:06 AM]Eönwë Valar: Honestly think I'm starting to feel burnout from all the FOMO. Don't expect I'll be pushing so hard on anything in Midnight.

[5:07 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In the past week I've done a lot of mythic and heroic raids, getting my unbound limits from 338 to 981. The infernals randomly spawning as well, since they drop 20 echoes or mementos or whatever it's called, which basically gives half an unbound apiece.

[5:08 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm looking forward to doing prepatch, setting up my void elf devourer, and just doing some daily quests for the currency... and spending the rest of the time just casually storying some alts, maybe some more of that in Midnight.

[5:10 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Storywise in remix, I've completed Suramar, the hunt for Illidan, and Balance of Power, culminating in doing 4 nighthold quests at once. I've also started on the Broken Shore campaign, so today will be broken shore and argus, see how far we get.

[5:10 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: No more raiding needed at this point, I'm hoping.

[5:10 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, except for soloing some normals for quests if I have the time.

[5:11 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I've also bought pretty much everything from the bronze vendors, including rare mounts. Only thing left is a few raid ensembles and the decor, which I'm hoping to fully unlock still. I should have enough bronze to do all that already.

[5:12 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Next week, wrapping up the event, and starting the prepatch 🙂

[5:12 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And that's my report for the week!

[5:13 AM]Eönwë Valar: My final verdict on Legion Remix: At my most pessimistic 4/10, at my most optimistic 6/10, so probably a fair 5/10. I think MOP Remix overall felt like a better experience, but it wasn't completely unfun.

[5:13 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: It certainly felt like less of a grind to me.

[5:13 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: But at this point that might already just be nostalgia.

[5:14 AM]Eönwë Valar: Well, there were several things that went unaddressed to the end in Legion Remix, like the world boss quests.

[5:14 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Though I admit, at my current power it feels good to just cut through zones and instances like a god.

[5:15 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yeah, I know. I had a quest in Suramar yesterday to do 10 world quests, and the world boss wqs still didn't count. Good thing the Withered army did, and there were 9 others up in the zone at the time.

[5:15 AM]Eönwë Valar: And I won't say that not being able to get my Green Flame Ashbringer didn't influence my opinion to some degree, but more was that it wasn't addressed when plenty of people were asking/complaining about it.

[5:15 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: True.

[5:16 AM]Eönwë Valar: A simple "We mispoke" would've gone a long way.

[5:16 AM]Eönwë Valar: The fact they didn't care enough to even do that soured me more than not getting it, to be honest.

[5:18 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, speaking of m+, did manage that 49+ keystone, indeed it was a 52+ since the guy running it forgot to level it down, so that achievement is done, though I'd still like to reach 999 anyway 🙂

[5:18 AM]Eönwë Valar: And I liked getting more than just stam from anything I fought in MoP Remix, whereas in Legion Remix that's it so there's not so much point to fight more than you have to.

[5:18 AM]Eönwë Valar: Congrats :}

[5:18 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Thanks 🙂

[5:19 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I suppose the point in Remix fighting is to get that infinite power and bronze, but once you're at 999, and you were like a month earlier I believe, that does go away.

[5:19 AM]Eönwë Valar: Think +52 or +54 was my last mythic, somewhere in there. Then I levelled my keystone down and got an Upper Karazhan so I could grab the portal achievement.

[5:20 AM]Eönwë Valar: Yeah, I bought everything on every vendor I could find, and several copies of the housing stuff.

[5:20 AM]Eönwë Valar: Even made a DH to make sure I got the DH exclusive toy.

[5:21 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Not bad 🙂

[5:22 AM]Eönwë Valar: Once I hit my progression cap in Mythic Antorus solo, there was no point in pushing harder because I wasn't going to get more powerful anyway.

[5:23 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yeah, didn't try that. It was easy enough to find mythic pugs pretty much all night long, and apart from a few screwup resets like at Ilgynoth, there's really not that much that can go wrong in them.

[5:23 AM]Eönwë Valar: yeah.

[5:24 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hardest fights were Kil'jaeden and Imonar with those knockbacks, and Eonar. Everything else was basically a given.

[5:25 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And Eonar I wiped like... once in the past 2 weeks.

[5:25 AM]Eönwë Valar: Yeah.

[5:27 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Afk a bit for some laundry. Grr, real life 😄

[5:28 AM]Eönwë Valar: :}

[8:57 AM]Eönwë Valar: Just thought I'd throw in there's commentary that may be mildly interesting in relation to this located in Nature of Middle-Earth. Ask about it some time if you're interested and I'll pull out my book. Just keep in mind there's alot of numbers and math involved.

[9:03 AM]Eönwë Valar: No, they wouldn't, not just for falling in love. Without getting too much into it right now, it's a fate for Elrond's children to go with him across the Sea of become mortal. HoME suggests that one of the Noldorin Princes (I forget which) fell in love with a human woman, and chose rather to never see her again because if he chose to be with her he'd have to leave the fight, at least while she was alive. No indication he ever actually married anyone else though, so one way or another it seems he wasn't on the market anymore, or at least he didn't live long enough to get over her (never a light thing even for us mortals).

[9:04 AM]Eönwë Valar: (Just some comments about the Tolkien chat)

[7:24 PM]Eönwë Valar: Looks like Remix ended at the daily reset, which was a few hours before what the Calendar said it would be, and some people are not happy about it.

[7:25 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: For us, about one and a half hours are left according to the timer. I just completed every cosmetic achievement with Calyaxa and bought all the vendor stuff, including at least 3 of each decor.

[7:25 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I think I'll make my second character now and relax with her while leveling a bit perhaps 🙂

[7:25 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Make use of that 245% xp gain!

[7:53 PM]Eönwë Valar: hehe

[8:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Calelsioca lives!

[8:06 PM]Eönwë Valar:

[8:08 PM]Eönwë Valar: Very annoying that they not only nerfed our gear (I at least get this one) but that they nerfed our bags too, from 36-slot to 30-slot.

[8:10 PM]Eönwë Valar: Oh, since Phar asked in the Screenshots channel.... YouTube - Do You Want To Build A Snowman? - Frozen (90's Hair Metal Ballad)

[8:11 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: 😄

[8:11 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Elsi would like that!

[8:11 PM]Eönwë Valar: Didn't go looking for it, but if Youtube's gonna throw it on my front page, might as well take advantage of it being there, heh.

[8:19 PM]Eönwë Valar: And here's the greatest of Elf mages: YouTube - Anixmity - When They Realized Who Frieren Really Is

[8:41 PM]Eönwë Valar: Brace yourself for tomorrow, it's the end of the world (of Warcraft).

[8:41 PM]Eönwë Valar: Stat squish incoming.

[10:05 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aaaand remix is over.

[10:05 PM]Eönwë Valar: Welcome to the One True Timeline.

[10:06 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Elsi made it all the way to level 17.

[10:09 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Guess she's home now! [Image

[10:20 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I guess in a few days I'll be making another blue themed alt 😄

[10:28 PM]Eönwë Valar: hehe

[Note: a whole lot of WoW comments for days as the changes hit.]
