[4:00 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Ar! Good to "see" you!!
[4:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Indeed, a rare occurrence for me to be able to be on time

[4:04 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yay!
[4:04 PM]Sandalf13: What happened? Could not get on the site last week...
[4:05 PM]Treebeard: Hello
[4:05 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Treebeard
[4:05 PM]Varda: It should all be fixed now.
[4:06 PM]Sandalf13: Wonderful good news
[4:06 PM]Varda: When the .org version goes down, try the .net name instead.
[4:06 PM]Varda: so valarguild.org and valarguild.net are two ways in.
[4:07 PM]Varda: Anyway, try it now and it should work fine for you all.
[4:07 PM]Varda: Aiya Fangorn
[4:08 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yep, it works again!
[4:08 PM]Varda: O right. I should say...
[4:08 PM]Varda: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
[4:08 PM]Varda: Membership:
[4:09 PM]Varda: We made it here and are chatting, yay!
[Note: see more Membership News]
[4:09 PM]Varda: Web:
[4:09 PM]Varda: We have a functioning website, huzzah!
[4:09 PM]Sandalf13: Yay!
[4:10 PM]Varda: We have an article almost ready to go. Just waiting for the new author to approve of the way it's now set up and it should be up this week. Hoped for today, but emails have to be read and sent. : )
[4:12 PM]Varda: Also, we are looking for articles, stories, art for the upcoming Oct 4 anniversary of the Valar Guild, including screenshots if you like. Theme (very loosely) of trees, forest. At least a tree way over there on the edge of the story setting, heh.
[4:13 PM]Varda: Gaming:
[4:13 PM]Varda: We currently have Eowyn and Fangorn playing StarCraft 2 as we type. : )
[4:13 PM]Varda: Is anyone else also in a game, as in it's open?
[4:14 PM]Varda: I barely got my computer open in time for the meeting, heh.
[4:14 PM]Arien Valar: Aiya
[4:14 PM]Pallando-Valar: I am fighting in an insurgency in Eve .
[4:14 PM]Varda: Pallando has EVE News
[4:14 PM]Varda: Aiya Arien
[4:15 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Currently in WoW, did my daily chores there but waiting for the black market auction house to refresh in 15 minutes
[4:15 PM]Varda: You are fighting right now and typing to us? Amazing multi-tasking!
[4:15 PM]Varda: Phar at the black market... Guess that pit in Valinor needs a way to supply those extra items.
[4:16 PM]Varda: Arien may be in World of Warcraft too
[4:16 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: All very under the table.
[4:16 PM]Varda: hehe
[4:16 PM]Varda: Which server are you on, Phar? And do you ever see Arien?
[4:16 PM]Varda: She seems to be in WoW Classic
[4:17 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Argent Dawn. I don't visit Classic much. I know Arien has some characters in here but she's mostly hanging out on horde, I believe.
[4:17 PM]Varda: kek
[4:17 PM]Pallando-Valar: So: AT feeders have finished. Seeds for the AT itself are:
[4:17 PM]Varda: O wow, Pallando : )
[4:18 PM]Arien Valar: well yeah, sort of , just sitting in an Inn at Dawns Blossom , think my mind is only fit for either wow or Tolkien instead of both at the same time hehe
[4:18 PM]Pallando-Valar: I didn't get on a team or do commentary this year, was busy with RL.
[4:18 PM]Sandalf13: Sounds interesting, Arien.
[4:18 PM]Varda: RL does sneak up and get in the way, sometimes. O wait, gaming is not rl.
[4:19 PM]Varda: Feel free to hang out in some of the inns in Middle-earth too. : )
[4:19 PM]Varda: Beware, some of those drinks make the screen hazy and drift to the sides!
[4:19 PM]Pallando-Valar: I might reach out as there's now a new window to join teams so we'll see.
[4:19 PM]Varda: ohh, good luck, Pallando!
[4:20 PM]Varda: May real RL be kind!
[4:20 PM]Pallando-Valar: In other news, a patch was announced to be coming on Tuesday. We don't have exact numbers, but we know some of the contents in terms of balance.
[4:20 PM]Arien Valar: Listening to a german dramatlisation synopsis of Lord of the Rings tho
[4:20 PM]Sandalf13: Would you send me the link sometine?
[4:20 PM]Pallando-Valar:
Legion changes from CCP stream:
[4:21 PM]Pallando-Valar: We'll get full details when it drops Tuesday.
[4:21 PM]Varda: Cool
[4:21 PM]Varda: the details I mean
[4:22 PM]Pallando-Valar: My estimation: FNI will get too strong in brawls from this, and I don't think the MJD bonus needed to be removed completely.
[4:22 PM]Pallando-Valar: Some of the other changes are eh and I don't think will do much, but some are good. Nothing amazing.
[4:23 PM]Pallando-Valar: We're getting proimised that we'll see a similar level of changes in a couple months, and then another set 2-4 after that, and so on, so hopefully this keeps up.
[4:23 PM]Pallando-Valar: Given that, I'm pretty happy with this.
[4:23 PM]Varda: That's really good news. You'd know.
[4:25 PM]Pallando-Valar: :)
[4:25 PM]Pallando-Valar: That's it for eve for now.
[4:25 PM]Varda: Thank you. That was a hefty bit of news. : )
[4:25 PM]Varda: StarCraft 2:
[4:25 PM]Varda: Players that I know of this past week:
[4:26 PM]Varda: Eowyn, Fangorn, Faramir, and Varda.
[4:26 PM]Varda: We don't seem to be catching the right time lately to drag in Anarion, but we can hope for later.
[4:27 PM]Varda: Eonwe seems to be stuck at the moment, so I'll pass along the news he gave us. Feel free to grab a sandwich. ; )
[4:27 PM]Varda: World of Warcraft:
[4:27 PM]Sandalf13: Wish I could...no real sandwiches here.
[4:27 PM]Sandalf13: Just pastries.
[4:27 PM]Varda: It is a silly place, then. : )
[4:28 PM]Sandalf13: But the pastries are VERY good....
[4:28 PM]Arien Valar: grabs a nice cheese sandwhich from Varda
[4:28 PM]Varda: yum, pastries!
[4:28 PM]Varda: the cheese sandwich plate refills automatically
[4:28 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Let's not go there, it is a silly place.
[4:28 PM]Varda: Phar knows the place. Or at least the reference. : )
[4:28 PM]Varda: This week's bonus event: Cataclysm Timewalking.
[4:29 PM]Varda: This week's PvP Brawl: Southshore vs. Tarren Mill.
[4:29 PM]Varda: passes around chocolate chip and pecan cookies
[4:29 PM]Varda: The Darkmoon Faire is going this week.
[4:29 PM]Varda: The Terrace of Endless Spring">raid is available in Mists of Pandaria Classic.
[4:29 PM]Sandalf13: silly place
[4:30 PM]Varda: hahaha - thanks, Sandalf
[4:30 PM]Varda: Landfall in Mists of Pandaria Classic will come September 23rd.
[4:31 PM]Varda: Blizzard has put up alot of blogs on the next expansion. Fortunately they also compiled all the links here.
[4:31 PM]Varda: Check out WoW Weekly for anything not mentioned above.
[4:32 PM]Varda: Check out this week's hotfixes.
[4:32 PM]Varda: And this one isn't on the Games Site but...
[4:33 PM]Varda: Sauron, Earendil, Gimli, and a couple of Tolkien members have been playing Warhammer. Sauron and Earendil used necrons (different types). Gimli-V used orks.
[4:34 PM]Varda: Not even Warhammer can escape Tolkien. ; )
[4:34 PM]Varda: That's a tabletop game with tons of figurines and books for those who might not know.
[4:34 PM]Varda: Hearthstone:
[4:35 PM]Varda: Patch 33.4 is out.
[4:35 PM]Varda: Overwatch 2:
[4:35 PM]Varda: A new Director's Take is out: Have Game, Will Travel.
[4:36 PM]Varda: (Western reference some of you may remember. And who isn't interested in Paladins? ; )
[4:37 PM]Varda: Heroes of the Storm:
[4:37 PM]Varda: A new patch is on the PTR.
[4:37 PM]Varda: (public test realm)
[4:38 PM]Varda: Lord of the Rings Online:
[4:39 PM]Varda: The Farmer's Faire plus Summer Faire ends 3 AM Eastern time Sept 9, so run earn your barter tokens for emotes, steeds, outfits, and essence scrolls!
[4:40 PM]Varda: Lord of the Rings Online players this past week:
Peregrin branch (US RP-encouraged. Main):
Glamdring branch (US normal):
Angmar branch (temp US VIP "Veil of the Nine"):
Meriadoc branch (EU-RP)
Mordor branch (temp EU VIP "Veil of the Nine"):
[4:40 PM]Varda: In other membership news:
[4:40 PM]Varda: Gimli-(V) reports that the hacking problems on his accounts including Discord are all handled now.
[4:41 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Great!
[4:41 PM]Varda: Yay indeed : )
[4:41 PM]Varda: Any other gaming or membership news to pass along before we switch over?
[4:42 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, apparently there has been an update to Warcraft Rumble, though no patch has been announced on the website.
[4:42 PM]Varda: Interesting.
[4:42 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: People have noticed some nerfs to the leader Thrall, including a cost increase from 4 gold to 5. It's unclear if there any other changes, though.
[4:43 PM]Varda: I wonder if has improvements to merit another gold?
[4:43 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: It's pretty much nerfs, really. He was quite powerful.
[4:44 PM]Arien Valar: Not sure whether i ll make it next sunday as we are moving on Friday . The phone will be finally connected next Thursday in a week but there is going to be a temporary connection box set up so it hopefully will work
[4:44 PM]Sandalf13: In response to Varda's comment above "Have Game, Will Travel," I believe she is referring to the classic western series, "Have gun, Will travel..." with its laconic western hero. This brings to mind the Edgar Wright take on the famous "A Fistful of Dollars," namely: "A Fistful of Fingers." Right up there with "The Search for the Holy Grail." Here is the link...this rarely seen movie (Wright's first) is now available on Youtube. 1995.
[4:45 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Good luck, Arien
[4:45 PM]Varda: Have Gun, Will Travel
[4:45 PM]Varda: Arien, at least we'll know what happened and not to worry but send good vibes your way. : )
[4:46 PM]Arien Valar: cool :
[4:46 PM]Arien Valar: cool
[4:46 PM]Varda: Thanks, Sandalf
[4:46 PM]Sandalf13: Enjoy
[4:46 PM]Varda: but after the meeting. ; )
[4:47 PM]Sandalf13: Natch
[4:47 PM]Varda: hehe
[4:47 PM]Varda: Over to
[4:47 PM]Varda: Tolkien!
[4:47 PM]Varda: How many of you happen to have some dice lying around. At least a 6-sided die like in a Monopoly game?
[4:47 PM]Varda: I was trying to find a random number generator on Discord, no luck so far.
[4:47 PM]Sandalf13: My Monopoly game is so old, it has only two regular dice.
[4:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Let's take a look.. they might be at my parents.
[4:48 PM]Arien Valar: i ve got a d 20 here in front of me .. does that work?
[4:48 PM]Varda: Only need one or I can roll for you.
[4:48 PM]Varda: Sure!
[4:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, no, here we go.
[4:48 PM]Varda: Only need one die, Sandalf. : )
[4:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: 13 dice, including 2 with letters and 2 ball-shaped.
[4:49 PM]Arien Valar: a 5 here
[4:49 PM]Varda: I have a bunch of them, no worries.
[4:49 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I genuinely rolled a 6.
[4:49 PM]Varda: 20-sided, you mean?
[4:49 PM]Sandalf13: How does a ball-shaped die stop on a number or letter? Just curious...
[4:49 PM]Varda: hah 6!
[4:49 PM]Varda: A 20-sided almost looks like a ball. : )
[4:49 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The round ones? Nope, the usual 6 numbers, just as a ball.
[4:50 PM]Varda: ho ho!
[4:50 PM]Arien Valar: a facetted ball
[4:50 PM]Sandalf13: Grab one as it goes, huh?
[4:50 PM]Varda: Ok, everyone set with a die?
[4:50 PM]Varda: We are going to pick a book for our Tolkien chat. : )
[4:51 PM]Varda: We all roll. The book with the most die going its way is it!
[4:51 PM]Arien Valar: 19
[4:52 PM]Varda: 1 Hobbit, 2 FotR, 3 TT, 4 RotK, 5, Sil
[4:52 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Mine says 5.
[4:52 PM]Varda: Might want to reroll that, Arien : )
[4:52 PM]Varda: My 6-sided die rolled 4.
[4:52 PM]Arien Valar: 3
[4:52 PM]Varda: Sandalf, do you have a die to roll?
[4:53 PM]Sandalf13: Nope....the Read Queen does not have any dice-requiring-games on hand....
[4:53 PM]Varda: Backwards place. ; )
[4:53 PM]Sandalf13: Just as I like it....
[4:53 PM]Varda: Sandalf, pick a number for the person to roll for you: 1 Arien, 2 Phar, 3 Varda
[4:54 PM]Sandalf13: 2
[4:54 PM]Varda: oops, I should not have said
[4:54 PM]Varda: Phar, could you roll for Sandalf?
[4:54 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: It's a 1!
[4:54 PM]Varda: So we have 1, 3, 4, and 5
[4:54 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Obviously we have to go with 2 then.
[4:55 PM]Varda: Now we all get to roll again. and that's a thought, Phar. ; )
[4:55 PM]Varda: Let's see if we can get a pair somewhere!
[4:55 PM]Varda: I rolled 1
[4:55 PM]Sandalf13: This time I will ask Arien to roll for me...
[4:55 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: 4 from me.
[4:55 PM]Arien Valar: 4 here
[4:56 PM]Varda: Arien, what is your Sandalf roll?
[4:56 PM]Arien Valar: 2
[4:56 PM]Varda: Thank you
[4:56 PM]Varda: So correct me if I'm wrong:
[4:57 PM]Varda: 1, 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5
[4:58 PM]Varda: Next is for which half of the RotK: Book V or Book VI. Book V is even number, Book VI is odd number. Go!
[4:58 PM]Varda: Even
[4:58 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Even.
[4:58 PM]Sandalf13: Varda...please roll for me
[4:59 PM]Varda: another Even. : )
[4:59 PM]Arien Valar: even
[4:59 PM]Varda: Ok, that was random. Book V it is!
[5:00 PM]Varda: It has ten chapters. Who all has a 10-sided die besides me?
[5:00 PM]Sandalf13: Nary a one.
[5:00 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Alas, none here.
[5:00 PM]Arien Valar: 20 sided here i fear
[5:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: 20 sided should work, Arien
[5:01 PM]Varda: Sandalf gets to pick a roller.
[5:01 PM]Sandalf13: Back to Ar...
[5:01 PM]Varda: 20-sided but you have to roll until it's a number 10 or below.
[5:01 PM]Sandalf13: Oooops...he does not have a 10-sided. So....VArda!
[5:02 PM]Arien Valar: 5
[5:02 PM]Varda: Phar, you had one that is ten or over?
[5:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I do not.
[5:02 PM]Varda: ok, you get to pick a roller. We have a roll from Arien: 5
[5:02 PM]Varda: I am rolling for Sandalf: 5
[5:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: If you roll for Sandalf, Arien rolls for me
[5:03 PM]Varda: Go Arien!
[5:03 PM]Arien Valar: did already
[5:03 PM]Varda: Then roll for your own roll. : )
[5:03 PM]Arien Valar: 4
[5:03 PM]Varda: My own roll is 10
[5:04 PM]Varda: So 5, 5, 5, 4
[5:05 PM]Varda: Chapter 5 is "The Ride of the Rohirrim"
[5:06 PM]Varda: Using the page numbers from this ancient copy:
[5:06 PM]Varda: the first number is already 1
[5:07 PM]Varda: the second number is either 2 or 3, So even or odd!
[5:07 PM]Varda: Any die works there. Pick your roll helper!
[5:07 PM]Varda: Odd
[5:07 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: even
[5:07 PM]Arien Valar: odd
[5:08 PM]Varda: Sandalf, pick your rolling stand-in, please?
[5:08 PM]Sandalf13: Arien...
[5:09 PM]Arien Valar: even ...
[5:09 PM]Varda: odd, even, odd, even!
[5:09 PM]Varda: hah
[5:09 PM]Sandalf13: double that...
[5:09 PM]Varda: Sandalf, choose the roller to break the tie. : )
[5:09 PM]Sandalf13: Varda
[5:09 PM]Varda: Even
[5:10 PM]Varda: So we have the first two numbers of 12
[5:10 PM]Varda: Choosing between 7, 8, and 9
[5:10 PM]Varda: I will abstain unless chosen.
[5:11 PM]Sandalf13: Prime numbers are prime fun.
[5:11 PM]Varda: The three numbers are 1, 2, and 3 to stand in for 7, 8, and 9 in that order.
[5:11 PM]Varda: Roll away!
[5:11 PM]Arien Valar: 2
[5:12 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: 3
[5:12 PM]Varda: Sandalf, please choose your roller.
[5:12 PM]Sandalf13: Lets see...lets see....Ar!
[5:12 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And another 3!
[5:13 PM]Varda: Decided!
[5:13 PM]Sandalf13: Entschieden!
[5:13 PM]Varda: Now say that in a Tolkien language. ; )
[5:13 PM]Sandalf13: Bah humbug
[5:13 PM]Sandalf13: Or is that Dickens?
[5:13 PM]Varda: pg 129
[5:13 PM]Varda: It is. : )
[5:14 PM]Varda: Oh, this is cool. It's about the Woses
[5:14 PM]Sandalf13: Funny thing....once we landed up with the Ride of the Rohirrim, I immediately thought of Ghan-buri-Ghan
[5:14 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Can't trust them and their mystic ways. They probably manipulated the dice.
[5:15 PM]Varda: What did the Woses want from the Rohirrim?
[5:15 PM]Sandalf13: Protection from them!
[5:15 PM]Varda: You are both likely right. ; )
[5:15 PM]Varda: Who them?
[5:15 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: To be left alone
[5:15 PM]Sandalf13: The Riders of Rohan (and other Men, no doubt)...Please do not hunt us like wild animals!
[5:16 PM]Varda: That would be the end result, ok. But why did the Woses go to the Rohirrim?
[5:16 PM]Sandalf13: Because their bright swords could drive the darkness away...
[5:16 PM]Sandalf13: Besides, they were the only folk traipsing through the Woses' land at that time...
[5:17 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yes, riding towards the aid of Minas Tirith.
[5:17 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: A bit of guidance was appreciated.
[5:17 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Were they trying to rely on secrecy? I don't remember.
[5:17 PM]Varda: Aye, through an area free of Gorgun (orcs) that the Woses knew.
[5:17 PM]Sandalf13: Especially for secret roads that Sauron's troops did not know about, nor did most others, for that matter.
[5:17 PM]Varda: Aye, Sandalf. : )
[5:18 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I guess that's a yes
[5:18 PM]Sandalf13: Built by he earlier Numenoreans, when they ate stone for food.
[5:19 PM]Sandalf13: Tasty...my chef does a wonderful dish with feldspar-rich granite.
[5:19 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There's something to worry your dentist.
[5:20 PM]Varda: The Woses, who looked like the sculptures of Pukel-men, knew the old ways that the old Gondorians had built that now only the Woses and beasts know.
[5:21 PM]Varda: "He will lead you by road where no pits are, no gorgun walk, only Wild Men and beasts.
[5:21 PM]Varda: "Many paths were made when Stonehouse-folk were stronger.
[5:22 PM]Varda: "They carved hills as hunters carve beast-flesh. Wild Men think they ate stone for food.
[5:22 PM]Varda: "They went through Druadan to Rimmon with great wains.
[5:22 PM]Varda: " They go no longer.
[5:22 PM]Arien Valar: well there is some logic behind the food
[5:23 PM]Sandalf13: Feldspar s pretty soft and erodible.
[5:23 PM]Arien Valar: err behind the thought
[5:23 PM]Varda: "Road is forgotten, but not by Wild Men."
[5:23 PM]Varda: End quote
[5:23 PM]Varda: Aiya Eonwe : )
[5:24 PM]Arien Valar: you hunt for food .. so ergo if you hunt hills for road carving you eat stone for food
[5:24 PM]Eönwë Valar: As I recall, the Rohirrim were trying not to run into anyone until they got to Minas Tirith. Perhaps haste more than secrecy per se is what they were going for, but the Druedain took them by forgotten roads, as Varda's quote indicates.
[5:24 PM]Varda: Aye. : )
[5:24 PM]Eönwë Valar: And heya.
[5:24 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya
[5:24 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Eonwe.
[5:24 PM]Varda: You guys were right. This is just quoting that agrees.
[5:24 PM]Arien Valar: aiya Eonwe
[5:25 PM]Varda: "But if you live after the Darkness, then leave Wild Men alone in the woods and do not hunt them like beasts any more."
[5:25 PM]Varda: The Rohirrim were offering rich reward, but dead men are not friends to living men. : )
[5:25 PM]Sandalf13: Nor to other dead men.
[5:25 PM]Varda: So the Woses were keeping them alive. : )
[5:26 PM]Varda: Anyway, we are about 25 minutes over time.
[5:26 PM]Varda: Hope you all had fun with this very different approach!
[5:26 PM]Sandalf13: Yes!
[5:26 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: If nothing else, it'll always give us a topic
[5:26 PM]Varda: So true. : )
[5:27 PM]Arien Valar: well my friends .. I shall see you next week or not , but hopefully yes
[5:27 PM]Sandalf13: I too must bid a fond adieu...I need to stop at the Auto parts store on the way home for a couple of items for my old car...Namarie!
[5:27 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie
[5:27 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!
[5:27 PM]Varda: gavel thomp!
[5:27 PM]Varda: After-meeting!
[5:28 PM]Varda: Namarie y'all : )
[5:28 PM]Varda: Feel free to add anything here, late-comers. ; )
[5:37 PM]Eönwë Valar: One quick thing: It's September.
[5:37 PM]Eönwë Valar: That means GSMU mails will be going out soon. I plan to have them out by the end of the week.
[5:40 PM]Eönwë Valar: That also means next month is the Anniversary. Theme is "Trees/Forests" so I hope you've had plenty of extra time to work on contributions this year since we determined the theme in June.

[2:23 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Personal gaming report:
[2:24 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: For (non)flashgaming, something I haven't played in a while, but enjoyed: Kongregate - Tesla8.
[2:26 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: A block breaker game where you enter a machine created by Tesla in order find him, and ultimately face him down.
[2:27 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Contrary to many block breaker/breakout games, you can't lose the ball by missing it with the paddle, but hitting it does give you charges for upgrades and shots to aim at blocks yourself, as waves of them come crashing down on you. See how long you last, spend points and coins on upgrades, and get even further next time!
[2:28 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: It becomes a bit of a grind later on, but if you space out your gameplay, you'll keep your sanity and make it eventually
[2:34 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Blizzard gaming:
[2:36 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hearthstone:
[88 on the reward track now. About 2 more weeks should do it until 100.
[2:38 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got the Mini-set, which is good, because the quest event is boosted by using cards from it. I found out that you can filter the latest mini-set by choosing the new card category in the deck builder, as they'd otherwise be indistinguishable from the main expansion set.
[2:38 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: So yep, the new quest event is here, with lots of cards to play and mana to spend, though using the ones from the new set speeds it up very nicely.
[2:39 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Rewards include a new card back for the third step, and a new coin for the finale.
[2:39 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And some packs and random epics along the way.
[2:40 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I also got the new card back for winning 5 matches in september.
[2:42 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The brawl is Henchmania, where you choose one of nine custom heroes and choose a member of the league of evil to work for. The combinations can be quite powerful, and a popular combo is where both hero and boss operate with deathrattles, amplifying each other.
[2:43 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Warcraft Rumble: No new collection level, though I did get someone to epic.
[2:44 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Nice and smooth dungeon week this time around. It's a difficult dungeon, but it's for horde family, and several of my horde leaders and minis are epic, giving them a few more levels advantage than my average.
[2:46 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Worked a bit more on the heroic sigil campaign on days when no surge was up, and cleared Araj the Summoner with all remaining families at last, getting me to 147 sigils. Needed no custom army for the other families after horde, since my standard armies there use cheaper minis among them which are more affordable to lose to banshees.
[2:48 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got the horde/undead leader Sylvanas to epic quality, as well as her third talent. Useful hero, so that should work out.
[2:49 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: WoW:
[2:54 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: More raiding! Normal cleared once again, and some heroic progress. I was actually able to join the Sunday raid for part of it for once, since I was available early this time. The boss we were working on this time didn't go down, though Seems like some adds might be more difficult than intended.
[2:55 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Still, got some gear upgrades.
[2:55 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Weekly quest is timewalking, which I completed, but the reward was another belt, and I've already got 2 of the same quality for when the special belt gets nerfed.
[2:56 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: More delving! Got to choose a few easier delves each day, but also ended up going through 2 shortcuts, so that didn't matter much.
[2:57 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: With my new ilevel upgrades I cleared tier 10, so only one more to go.
[2:58 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I also got Brann from level 85 to 88, and completed step 3 of the Delve Journey, unlocking a frontpiece for the Delver's Mana-Skimmer mount that looks a lot like the Void Ray from Starcraft 2. I like it.
[2:59 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Eastern Kingdoms dragonriding cup is/was up, with a new silver/sapphire appearance set. I do like that color scheme.
[3:00 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Didn't catch it until the event was over halfway, though, so ended up rushing the intro quests with 2 characters who had already completed the cup earlier, and a third who still got badges from the races themselves. Together with the stock I had left on the mage from previous cups, I was able to get the set.
[3:01 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Being able to transfer these currencies within your warband at no fee really helps with this stuff
[3:02 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And finally, between dragonracing, timewalks, raiding, delves etc, I completed the trading post tender for this month already, though I've not yet looked at the merchant. Will do that next week.
[3:02 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And that's my report for the week!
[3:03 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie
[3:03 AM]Eönwë Valar: Take care :}
