[May 24, 2025
[6:55 AM]Eönwë Valar: Getting the Legion achievements I missed the first time is going to be a challenge. I think I beat the boss in Mythic Black Rook Hold too fast because he's bugging out and the corpse of the dude with him is teleporting around the room.
[7:02 AM]Eönwë Valar: Left dungeon, came back, and everything is reset, heh.
[7:03 AM]Eönwë Valar: Hmm, fight reset, but didn't get any loot. Bah. Note to self: One punch is too much. Must use half a punch.

[This week's PvP Brawl: Warsong Scramble.
[4:10 PM]Eönwë Valar: Horrific Visions are out, so if you liked them last time, or you didn't get to try them, now's your chance. While progress with the hourglass buffs is timegated, you can farm the visions for currency/pets, and see how far you can get at the current week's level, to buy the new collectibles, and get ahead for the following week's memento requirements: Horrific Visions' Challenges and Rewards
[4:11 PM]Eönwë Valar: Unlike last time, no item is required to start each run, so you can spam them as much as you can stand.
[4:11 PM]Eönwë Valar: Check out WoW Weekly for anything not mentioned above.
[4:12 PM]Eönwë Valar: Check out this week's hotfixes.

[4:25 PM]Varda: More LotRO news. Dye: Indigo Coupon Code: BLUESKIES
[Now through May 29
[4:27 PM]Varda: I tried Sting server. Low population, doesn't need the twice a week restart. Could be a place to pop over to when our main servers are down and we just really want to play, but not starting a kin there.
[4:27 PM]Varda: We can still use /joinchannel Valar
[Kin members showing up this past week:
Peregrin branch (US RP-encouraged):
Glamdring branch (US normal):
Treebeard branch (temp VIP slow-level):
Angmar branch (temp US VIP "Veil of the Nine"):
Mordor branch (temp EU VIP "Veil of the Nine"):
[4:28 PM]Varda: I'd say our main is definitely Peregrin. : )
[4:28 PM]Varda: Best place to find each other.
[4:28 PM]Varda: Any other gaming or membership news?
[4:29 PM]Arien Valar: None that i am aware of
[4:30 PM]Arien Valar: I have seen Spidey and Fangorn and of course Phar online this week
[4:30 PM]Arien Valar: but else none
[4:31 PM]Varda: If you were on Peregin, it may be the time of day.
[4:32 PM]Varda: In other news, that game Mosby mentioned uses Fantasy Grounds rather than Roll 20.
[4:32 PM]Varda: and Discord for chatting
[4:33 PM]Varda: They are still working out a time. (Note: Currently leaning towards Tuesday evenings, about two hours long to help out the working members.)
[4:34 PM]Arien Valar: oh i see a virtual table top
[4:34 PM]Arien Valar: not bad
[4:35 PM]Varda: Right
[4:35 PM]Varda: That way you can play with friends from anywhere. : )
[4:35 PM]Varda: Kind of like um, LotRO, or WoW, except tabletoppy.
[4:37 PM]Arien Valar: i see
[4:37 PM]Varda: Anyway, time to shift gears.
[4:37 PM]Varda: Tolkien!
[4:38 PM]Varda: Does anyone have a topic they'd like to bring into the light of day?
[4:40 PM]Arien Valar: uuhm i don t know whether there is much that Tolkien wrote about but how did Elves , Mankind and Hobbits bring up their children? so, childhood / education if u like
[4:40 PM]Varda: Interesting.
[4:41 PM]Varda: We know that Elrond taught young Estel (Aragorn) and had a large library. He also taught other Ranger chieftains, as they were all descended from his brother, Elros.
[4:42 PM]Varda: The original colleges were libraries. One finds a mentor/tutor and digs up info from the library.
[4:42 PM]Varda: It's mentioned that Bilbo and Frodo taught Sam his letters, "meaning' no harm, mind".
[4:43 PM]Varda: So that more formal reading in the Shire might have been considered for the less hands-on folk.
[4:43 PM]Varda: Merry and Pippin since they had futures as leaders were also taught.
[4:43 PM]Varda: But by whom?
[4:44 PM]Varda: Much of early education was self-taught from books, after learning to read.
[4:44 PM]Arien Valar: they belonged to the nobility of the Hobbits if you like and we know that the old took had a big library so maybe his librarian or his scribe as private tutor?
[4:45 PM]Varda: In the US early on, they used the Bible as the earliest learning book as everyone had one.
[4:45 PM]Varda: Possibly, aye.
[4:45 PM]Varda: Fallohides in general seem more inclined to "elvish" ways including learning.
[4:46 PM]Varda: We know of the great library in Gondor.
[4:46 PM]Varda: The Shire had its own books, and we can expect libraries for those.
[4:47 PM]Varda: With no printing press, they needed to drag in folk willing to make copies, so those with that talent would be drug into learning.
[4:47 PM]Arien Valar: I d imagine that also children of shop owners or big farmsteads were expected to learn to write and i could imagine that they would use the libraries as schools for these
[4:49 PM]Arien Valar: Else a lot of practical skills ... hobbits and men alike
[4:49 PM]Arien Valar: boys used as messengers . i could imagine they d snap a lot of information and knowledge while running errands
[4:50 PM]Arien Valar: of course working on the field, tending to animals and crafting skills
[4:50 PM]Varda: Math is necessary in everything, at some level.
[4:51 PM]Arien Valar: aye
[4:51 PM]Varda: One problem is always what to write on or with. Where to get paper, or skins, or wax tablets, or whatever is used.
[4:52 PM]Varda: Knots on ropes were a form of messaging. Lack of paper.
[4:52 PM]Arien Valar: Lotro has the idea of schools or universities for Elves or centres of learning but was that just alongside libraries?
[4:53 PM]Arien Valar: if you remember the Elf intro or that many libraries/ schools are now dungeonss
[4:53 PM]Varda: When we look at those places in LotRO, they have walls of books, so yes.
[4:54 PM]Varda: Dungeons? I don't recall that.
[4:54 PM]Varda: You mean like the Towers?
[4:55 PM]Arien Valar: yeah probably .. but i remember at least one dungeon that used to be a school but that was a long time ago .. i dont do dungeons in the dungeon finder so i am no epert on those
[4:56 PM]Arien Valar: maybe not hehe
[4:56 PM]Varda: I've done quite a few in the Instance Finder, most of them, I believe.
[4:57 PM]Varda: Not the High Elf intro. You mean the regular Elf intro? Been a while since I tried that, so it may have changed. Now I have to look, hah!
[4:58 PM]Arien Valar: yeah
[4:58 PM]Arien Valar: you can also read the story i have written
[5:00 PM]Arien Valar: https://valarguild.org/tolkien/encyc/fiction/authors/Arien/stories/FireFromTheAshes.htm
[5:01 PM]Eönwë Valar: Tham Mirdain? (note: library and instance in LotRO)
[5:02 PM]Arien Valar: yeah places like that
[5:02 PM]Eönwë Valar: Ok.
[5:04 PM]Eönwë Valar: Laws and Customs Among the Eldar has a very light smattering of Elven childhood info. Short version: no "problem children" generally speaking. Doesn't mean they didn't get into spats with other children but no backtalking to their parents and the like.
[5:04 PM]Varda: The Refuge of Edhelion is where the Elf intro is. They were under attack but it was not a dungeon afterwards, more of a ruin.
[5:05 PM]Arien Valar: yeah i wasnt thinking of Edhellion as a dungeon .. it seems to be under the dwarven mine if i remember right
[5:05 PM]Eönwë Valar: When Elves wrote down information about an event, generally it was a condensed version for someone who wasn't there to get info.
[5:08 PM]Eönwë Valar: I do have to believe that in the Second and Third Ages at least, the Noldor saw good reason for writing information down and collecting it, even if they were going West, for those that remained in Middle-Earth to have reference material.
[5:09 PM]Eönwë Valar: After all, why create an alphabet you're not going to use.
[5:09 PM]Arien Valar: Fair enough aye
[5:10 PM]Varda: The dwarven mine was below Edhellion.
[5:10 PM]Arien Valar: oops . my bad
[5:10 PM]Varda: but they were quite close
[5:11 PM]Varda: and you are quite right that they speak of the Library of Edhelion
[5:11 PM]Varda: I'm running the elf intro as we speak. : )
[5:11 PM]Arien Valar: :)
[5:15 PM]Arien Valar: so .. to round childhood a bit off ..
[5:16 PM]Arien Valar: Birth .. a sort of name giving ceremony, childhood with education according to heritage/ rank of the family and the position there in , coming to age at 33 we know with the hobbits
[5:17 PM]Arien Valar: and at what age did Elves reach adulthood i wonder? With men it seems to be early twenties or therebouts , later maybe for the Numenoreans , earlier maybe for the rangers
[5:22 PM]Varda: That's definitely something to look up. Eonwe may be doing it as we speak. : )
[5:22 PM]Arien Valar: and i guess they also had a bed time allthough we know that when there were parties the parents were a bit more lenient with their kids
[5:23 PM]Arien Valar: unfortunately it is bed time for me now .
[5:24 PM]Varda: Elatan-Valar gave us a clue:
[5:24 PM]Varda: Marriage among Elves Article on marriage among elves.
[5:24 PM]Varda: "Marriage was the natural course of their lives and they would wed for the most part in their youth and normally soon after their fiftieth year. "
[5:24 PM]Varda: We are over time. : )
[5:25 PM]Varda: the gavel is staring at his pocket watch as it skates across the table
[5:25 PM]Varda: trips over the hammerpad it didn't see
[5:25 PM]Varda: thonk!
[5:25 PM]Varda: After-meeting!
[5:28 PM]Arien Valar: I hope you enjoyed this as much as i did
[5:28 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie for now
[5:37 PM]Eönwë Valar: Sorry all, been back and forth from keyboard, and my time to go has come.
[@Arien Valar
[and at what age did Elves reach adulthood i wonder? With men it seems to be early twenties or therebouts , later maybe for the Numenoreans , earlier maybe for the rangers
[5:38 PM]Eönwë Valar: Laws and Customs indicates 50, Nature of Middle-Earth hints closer to 200. I go with the former.
[5:39 PM]Eönwë Valar: Take care all, good night, sleep well, and have fun.
[5:40 PM]Varda: Thanks, Eonwe. : )
[5:40 PM]Varda: 200 is an awfully long time.
[5:46 PM]Varda: Elatan's reference is from Morgoth's Ring
[5:46 PM]Varda: No chapter mentioned.
[6:17 PM]Varda: In an unnatural move for me, the character I just checked with for the intro is now deleted. Already have an insane number of characters.
[6:18 PM]Sandalf13: Thunderstorms, tornadoes, time in the basement, had guests over...a full day, I guess.
[6:18 PM]Sandalf13: Supposed to rain for the next two days, with T-storms. Not complaining, we need the rain.
[6:18 PM]Sandalf13: It is quiet for now.
[6:19 PM]Sandalf13: A lot cooler than it ought to be, as well.
[6:19 PM]Varda: A basement sounds like just the thing for tornado weather!
[6:20 PM]Varda: and hi, Sandalf. : )
[6:20 PM]Sandalf13: Indeed. Except mine is more like a crawl space. D.R. Horton is a Texas builder, where I understand that most new homes constructed do not have true basements...but mine is a pretty big crawlspace.
[6:20 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya all!!
[6:20 PM]Sandalf13: I can stand up in it, in places...
[6:20 PM]Varda: Sounds good.
[6:21 PM]Sandalf13: I even thought about setting up my old H.O. trains down there.
[6:21 PM]Varda: The area of Texas near the Gulf Coast doesn't generally install basements due to their normal tendency of turning into pools.
[6:22 PM]Sandalf13: I suppose that is the model that they follow, then. Flooding is not much of a problem on the Great Plains, except for the old river floodplains...I should know, I am a Professional Geologist!
[6:22 PM]Varda: That should give you a clue. : )
[6:38 PM]Varda: Going to go join Fangorn for a bit. Hope to be back later!
[6:38 PM]Sandalf13: Thanks...
[10:06 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya, some delays later, reading up
[10:06 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Happy birthday to Fangorn!
[11:54 PM]Pallando-Valar: Hi hello was busy this evening but I have Eve news @Varda!
[11:54 PM]Pallando-Valar: Major expansion tomorrow, Legion, as announced at Fanfest. Two new ships (trig marauder, angel dread), an expansion of corp projects, more sov upgrades, map updates, some minor tweaks to the thorax, rupture, HNI. MNI, t2 logi cruisers, and t3c support subs, surgical strike resistance nerfs fully reverted, art update, titan dd update, fighter changes, and probably a bunch of stuff I forgot or elided over.
[EVE Online - Legion: Expansion Notes
[11:56 PM]Pallando-Valar: Overall it's a pretty weak one from my pov. No major updates, the Drifter Crisis stuff seems to be happening on its own schedule not tied to expansions, the balance tweaks are just that, tweaks, not expansion-level shifts. I think a few of the things are bad ideas (surgical strike revert primarily), the new ships are uninteresting, I don't care about the sov stuff, and the really good bits of the map updates and corp job updates we were told about at Fanfest are "coming soon" and aren't actually in this.
[11:57 PM]Pallando-Valar: So pretty weak but if they deliver on what they showed at Fanfest, this is the foundation for some pretty cool stuff.
[May 26, 2025
[@Varda
[No chapter mentioned.
[12:36 AM]Eönwë Valar: Laws and Customs likely as I recall that spot in there.
[@Pallando-Valar
[So pretty weak but if they deliver on what they showed at Fanfest, this is the foundation for some pretty cool stuff.
[12:37 AM]Eönwë Valar: Thanks for letting us know.
[2:35 AM]Eönwë Valar: Arg, so we're supposed to find a bunch of items that'll take up space in our inventory to put together this felcycle.
[2:36 AM]Eönwë Valar: Nothing more annoying than to get an item only to find out it needs 10 other items that each have their own list of items to collect.
[3:22 AM]Arien Valar: souds like Blizzard
[3:40 AM]Eönwë Valar: *deathcycle not felcycle
[3:40 AM]Eönwë Valar: But yeah it does heh.
[3:40 AM]Eönwë Valar: Ok, so I can at best clear 2 objectives plus final boss with 1 mask up.
[3:41 AM]Eönwë Valar: Looks like I won't have to worry about getting hero gear from it for some time, heh.
[3:53 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Alright, really late after I got some sleep again, but... personal gaming report!
[3:54 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: For (non)flashgaming, here's a game the premise of which all ye Valar should appreciate: Stop the Darkness"
[3:57 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: A strategy/resource management game wherein you have to develop tiles on the land to generate resources, use those to develop more areas, and ultimately the technology to stop the darkness.
[3:59 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The darkness starts on the edge of the map, slowly overtaking each tile in a slow spiral. That gives you a limited time to complete your tasks, but if you manage to get a tower up, you can purchase upgrades to slow it down. Ultimately the stone circle in the center of the (randomly generated) map can take certain resources to stop the darkness altogether.
[4:00 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: At which point you're free to either end the game or just develop the land further with no threat
[4:01 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There's 2 difficulties, standard mode is easy enough if you get a grip on what stuff does. The extended mode is harder, but also has extra features and technologies, and an alternate way to stop the darkness!
[4:02 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: So good luck if you go that way And enjoy!
[4:02 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Blizzard gaming:
[4:04 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got a few minutes of Diablo 4 again. Started on cleaning up the second bank chest, but figured I actually had enough space to be getting on, so I made my way back to the place I'd stopped the campaign last time, at the start of the new zone. Where I logged out, hoping I don't get sent all the way back on login next time
[4:05 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hearthstone: Level 88 on the reward track now. Really slow, though I'm doing my daily and weekly quests as normal. Must just be unlucky with those, though I do get the main weekly ones.
[4:06 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Regardless, 2-3 weeks to get to 100. Should be fine.
[4:08 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Completed the second weekly quest of the new mini-set's quest event, to cast 150 spells, with fire spells counting twice. Luckily I already had a fire spell mage set up, so that wasn't too bad
[4:09 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The third quest is coming up, to summon and/or destroy 500 minions, with demons and dragons counting twice, representing Fyrakk's army. That's a lot, but should be doable!
[4:10 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: My Death Knight class is now a smidge away from level 60, the last level. I'd be very surprised if I don't get it this week, since that basically means not playing the class at all, and would mean all my quests are really restrictive.
[4:11 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And the brawl is Visions of Sayge: Each turn you get to choose between 2 powerful cards. The card you don't pick goes to your opponent.
[4:12 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Since you also draw from a random deck for the class you choose, your hand will fill up really quick, and a useful strategy is to choose and play the cheaper options while stuffing your opponent's hand with expensive ones. Of course, once they get around to playing them...
[4:13 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Anyway, one of the cards you can get is a cheap one where your entire hand gets replaced by demons, with each demon having a 2/2 stat bonus. And since your hand tends to be pretty full, that one tipped the game in my favor permanently, several times. So look out for that one!
[4:15 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Warcraft Rumble: No new collection level, though I got a few card levels on the few remaining 37500xp tracks, shifting them up to the 90000. Three of those remain now. After that I just like to blindly give the xp to the choice that has the least
[4:16 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Completed the pvp reward track for this season, got all the stars and gold and tomes from that. Pretty useful!
[4:17 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There's also 2 new events up, a login event that should give more powerful rewards over the next month or so as you log in, and the Darkmoon Faire returns, also giving tomes and gold. I'm focusing on the gold myself, since there's not enough points in total to get everything.
[4:19 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In the heroic sigil campaign, completed Azurous with all remaining families, and cleared the last boss of the Winterspring zone, General Colbatann, with all families as well. Another level up from the rest, that one seems simple enough, but the heroic effect is that movement speed and attack speed are greatly reduced for all your minis. So it's tricky.
[4:20 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There's also enough flying enemies to make me switch to alternate armies for each leader, using the alternate army layout tabs for them for the first time. Tis useful!
[4:22 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: That puts me at 145 sigils out of 160, and sends me to the Plaguelands, where the first boss, the massive gargoyle, is giving me trouble already!
[4:22 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Will probably need more custom armies for that, since levels are a bit far away still. But I'm also in no rush. Glad to be this far anyway.
[4:23 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: As for quality upgrades, saved up enough money for the epic Rivendare deal I mentioned last time, which got him to epic quality, and only 4 stars off from legendary.
[4:24 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also got his third talent.
[4:24 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There's no actual need to get him to legendary right away, so I won't make him a star priority, but if an uncommon deal for him happens to show up in the grid, I might as well take it to finish the job.
[4:26 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: With him two levels ahead of most of his army, I wondered if the skeletal mages he passively summons at towers scale to his level, but alas, they appear to be scaled to your building level, which is the average of your army.
[4:28 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: WoW: More raiding, and we're taking the heroic shortcut for the first time, trying to focus on the last three bosses. It was my first try on the sixth boss, and I have a few things to learn, but I'm sure we'll get it soon!
[4:29 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: My renown is still not fixed yet, so I'm just rebuilding it; however, getting to renown 4 didn't bring the dps/shielding buff back to 3%. So that seems bugged. I can only hope that reaching a level of that that I hadn't reached before the renown reset, will bump it all back to normal as I need to manually unlock that. And no, I don't have the option to do this level a second time.
[4:29 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: But that might require renown 10 or something, and we're not getting renown a lot anymore at this point, so I've started doing earlier bosses on LFR just for reputation.
[4:31 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Weekly is 4 mythic dungeons, of which I've now done 3, spamming Theater of Pain as my most familiar one for this season. I wonder if the weekly reward will actually give me something useful.
[4:31 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Seems unlikely
[4:32 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Completed the trading post this week as well, through a few quests and weekly events, and spent basically all my currency.
[4:34 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got one reward pet for my currency collection, Weechi the customizable dog, and bought 2 more. There's the Rocket Chicken, the old pet from trading cards back so many years ago, and the Frumpy Softpaw, the third Meeksi pet, matching the grey/green mount. Guess that means there's 2 more Meeksi pets to get from there in the future
[4:35 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also got the turtle shell cloak as I couldn't resist, and the swift fox ensemble just because it looked fun. If you want to see it equipped on my vulpera (fox) character, visit the screenshots channel
[4:37 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I liked the hedgehog mount, but had not enough currency left, but I did have enough for the snail mount I had in the freeze slot from last month, so I bought that instead, the Emerald Snail, and put the spiky snuffler (not actual name) in the freeze slot in his place. When or if I actually get it, depends on future offers in the trading post, since I'll need to build a reserve again.
[4:38 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Delves! Didn't do much there, as I wait for the last 2 delves I hadn't finished on tier 4 yet so I can see what I'm missing at tier 8. Got one of the two delves yesterday, but Tak-Rethan Abyss still eludes me. Hope it shows up soon! Did get Brann to level 72 on the other one, though.
[4:39 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Instead, tried out horrific visions! There's no indication that the event is going away eventually, but if it's like the original, there's some titles and stuff that might. So I figured I'd dive in anyway while my gear is good.
[4:42 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Unlocked the first section of the hourglass, which was apparently needed to unlock the potions as well, as neither Morgan's body and notes nor any of the potions were actually available until then. Also got my first tribute level on minion-killing, getting some movement speed on kills. Since stuff dies fast, that's quite nice
[4:44 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Within the vision itself, I've now cleared both corrupted zones in one go, even, reducing my sanity loss by 40% total. I'll wait a bit more with lost zones, at least until I'm into the second tier of upgrades. Potions do help though! (edited)
[4:45 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: As for the mount Eonwe mentioned... eh, probably don't have space for all those items I'll leave that until I've completed some quests in other areas, since that should clear my bags a bit.
[4:46 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And that's my report for the week!
[4:46 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie
[12:14 PM]Varda: Thanks, Phar
[9:26 PM]Eönwë Valar: Well, with the mask set that only doubles the madnesses in each zone, I managed to speak out a 1-mask victory for the week. I'm satisfied with that for week 1.
[9:27 PM]Eönwë Valar: Only gave me a Champion ring, but oh well.
[9:56 PM]Eönwë Valar: I so hate that high end profession equipment is soulbound on creation. I so hate that items required for things like this deathcycle can be soulbound on creation.

[5:08 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Just got me a fish pet from delves called Wriggler. Named it Rawnd. I'm sure you LotR folks know why!
[5:08 PM]Sandalf13: Are you sure it is not an earthworm?
[5:10 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, Wriggle, right. Wriggler is another pet. Heh, funny.
[5:11 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: ""Wriggle" looks like a fish to me!
[5:11 PM]Eönwë Valar: I have a suspicion as to why you'd name it that... gollum.
[5:11 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Eonwe gets it
[5:12 PM]Eönwë Valar: Or I guess I should've said: "Precious suspects, oh yes he does. gollum, gollum!
[5:13 PM]Sandalf13: Yes...it does look like a fish....but fish are not usually described as "wrigglers," or "wriggling," where as worms do in fact wriggle...When I see "Rawnd" I shift to "Grond," but I do not think that is it....yes?
[5:14 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Apparently this fish has wriggled its way from many a hook!
[5:14 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And no, that's not it
[5:14 PM]Sandalf13: The face does look a lot like Gollum, however, yes precious?
[5:15 PM]Eönwë Valar: Bah, the Vault loves giving me Trinkets before anything else this season.
[5:16 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: As a possible hint, I can't watch the relevant scene without hearing the melody in Sam's lines from that meme song...
[5:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: At least my main Paladin got something new. Now just needs to upgrade his bracers from Champion to Hero.
[5:31 PM]Eönwë Valar: Able to upgrade the hourglass 4 times this week, and apparently don't have to stay along the same tier, so chose two upgrades for reducing sanity drain and boosting sanity.
[5:35 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The sanity boosting seems so little though, compared to the sanity drain, though I guess it works best when you have both.
[5:38 PM]Sandalf13: Ah...now I think got it, Ar...when Gollum catches Sam trying to cook fish, and says he eats them (sounds like) rawnd...
[5:38 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Raw and wrrrriggling
[5:38 PM]Sandalf13: Give me a break...i am old.
[5:38 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: hehe
[6:36 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Ooh, this elite extermination tribute buff in the Visions actually seems pretty good. 50 sanity per elite, probably goes up to 150?
[9:01 PM]Eönwë Valar: Sounds right. THink I'm up to 100.
[May 28, 2025
[12:12 AM]Eönwë Valar: Think I'll do my delves before I make my next goes at HVRs though. Get those upgrades, heh. (edited)
[5:59 AM]Eönwë Valar: Bah, Blizzard's servers having trouble.
[6:02 AM]Eönwë Valar: Screwed up my HVR run.
[12:43 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Luckily you can have unlimited goes now!
[3:29 PM]Eönwë Valar: Indeed.
[11:15 PM]Eönwë Valar: Well got plenty of sanity for 1-mask. Gonna tack on a second and see how it goes.
[11:40 PM]Eönwë Valar: Also got the wolf mount.
[May 29, 2025
[12:40 AM]Eönwë Valar: 2-masks complete, got the void-scarred tallstrider chick pet.
[12:45 AM]Eönwë Valar: So 2 new pets, and 1 new mount. Better haul than last week in Stormwind, heh.
[12:45 AM]Eönwë Valar: And got the greater void rune enchants, but that's a given. (edited)
[12:03 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I got a void parrot out of it so far
