5:00pm Eastern Time
Discord: Valar Guild/meeting_place
Attending: Arien, Ar-Pharazon, Eonwe, Falco, Sandalf, Shelob, Varda (presiding), Xavier
Topic: What is the importance of the Prancing Pony in Bree?
[May 12, 2025
[2:20 AM]Eönwë Valar: Sulenar, my Fury Warrior, is now lvl 79.
[7:31 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I was wondering about naming your alt after a horse before realizing I named my primary alt after a boat.
[7:16 PM]Eönwë Valar: hehe
[7:16 PM]Eönwë Valar: At this point I'm not sure which came first: the alt or the horse, heh.
[11:06 PM]Eönwë Valar: Heh, just got the world boss in Spiderland down to 87% before he killed me. That's surprising.
[11:06 PM]Eönwë Valar: *solo
[May 13, 2025
[2:03 AM]Eönwë Valar: Sulenar is now 80, and I've got a new Paladiny title: "Sacred Templar."
[2:03 AM]Eönwë Valar: Might use it for Murloc Mama since she's a Lightforged Draenei.
[2:18 AM]Eönwë Valar: Looks like I maxed out Flame's Radiance rep just by running my alts through it.
[3:16 AM]Eönwë Valar: I love that Prot survives things that would've killed my Ret.
[3:32 AM]Eönwë Valar: I hope they bring out NE/VE Paladins by Legion Remix so I have a good reason to level one.
[3:45 AM]Eönwë Valar: *as Prot. Since I did Ret for MoP Remix.
[4:35 AM]Eönwë Valar: Idea for next upgrade to follower dungeons: option to pull the characters from your Warband, heh.
[8:27 AM]Eönwë Valar: Palilady made it to 70 (follower dungeons surprisingly lucrative with the exp with the bonuses) so decided to give her some Paladin-looking armor.
[8:27 AM]Eönwë Valar: Screenshot in the Screenshots folder :}
[1:07 PM]Eönwë Valar: Yep, there's the other shoe for that BiS gear: Gotta complete the quests in Normal difficulty or higher. Suspected it was going to end up like that despite the descriptions not making that clear, and I probably shouldn't be surprised they didn't make it clear..
[1:08 PM]Eönwë Valar: So that's pretty well useless to me.
[1:16 PM]Eönwë Valar: Guess my normal routine on my main will be enough this week after all. Eönwë Valar Sulenar is now 80, and I've got a new Paladiny title: "Sacred Templar."
[7:54 PM]Eönwë Valar: Remembered my Murloc Mama is using the MoP Remix title she earned, so I'll use the new Paladiny title for my Palilady.
[7:54 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Alas, the curse of having so many titles.
[8:09 PM]Eönwë Valar: At least most of them are fun/cool.
[8:26 PM]Eönwë Valar: Good to have that "problem" heh.
[10:33 PM]Eönwë Valar: Wow, 20 gilded crests from the delver's bounty. that's worth 1.5 upgrades.
[10:33 PM]Eönwë Valar: Looks like no new gear for me this week.
[10:36 PM]Eönwë Valar: That pretty well doubles how many gilded you get a week.
[May 14, 2025
[12:09 AM]Eönwë Valar: Blizzard really needs to fix the spawnpoints and pathing in WW areas. Never seen so many mobs spawn or get knocked into places they can't get out of.
[12:13 AM]Eönwë Valar: Follower Dungeons in WW not so lucrative for finishing the 70-80 grind.
[4:34 AM]Eönwë Valar: Hmm, was hoping Delves might be a little more lucrative exp-wise, but I suppose a little over 3/10 a level isn't bad.
[10:29 AM]Eönwë Valar: Arathi Crusader armor set completed. Screenshot in the screenshots channel.
[10:30 AM]Eönwë Valar: Tell me that Argent Crusade tabard doesn't almost fit. Yes, I know it's a brighter white, but the emblem is almost the same. It could fit.
[10:31 AM]Eönwë Valar: In fact, I may go with this transmog for a while.
[12:07 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hmm, yes, it's mostly the brightness.
[12:07 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: This is why I always make sure to grab the tabard from the trading post. I may not always like how they look, but I just want as many options as possible to fit my gear.
[7:31 PM]Eönwë Valar: Aye, but I don't think any Paladin tabard fits as closely as that one.
[7:34 PM]Eönwë Valar: Although both Shattered Sun and Argent Dawn Tabards are pretty good alternatives too.
[7:35 PM]Eönwë Valar: Of course the tabards you get from the Rep would fit perfectly, heh.
[7:35 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah, well, there's that then
[7:36 PM]Eönwë Valar: But mostly I was looking at it because of how close it was to Argent Dawn/Crusade coloration.
[7:37 PM]Eönwë Valar: Technically they did give us Argent Dawn/Crusade armor with the Shadowlands pre-event, but the shoulders and helm aren't very impressive.
[7:38 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, y'know, a helmet.. vanity.
[7:38 PM]Eönwë Valar: hehe
[7:47 PM]Eönwë Valar: So having tried both Herald of the Sun and Templar as Ret, Templar does "feel" more evident of how it actually affects gameplay.
[7:52 PM]Eönwë Valar: If I had as many buttons to hit as my Fury Warrior I might appreciate that Herald of the Sun doesn't really interfere with what buttons I'm already hitting, but Templar adds stuff to do without being obtrusive.
[8:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I haven't even thought about the hero specs for many of my alts, to be honest. I don't think I even knew the names of the paladin ones.
[8:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Templar sounds thematic enough.
[8:02 PM]Eönwë Valar: I've got enough Paladins to think about them and try them, heh.
[8:05 PM]Eönwë Valar: Whether Ret of Prot, Templar (Ret/Prot) feels like a solid choice in my playing. Lightsmith (Prot/Holy) is ok, but I don't notice any difference with Herald of the Sun (Ret/Holy).
[May 15, 2025
[7:47 AM]Eönwë Valar: One thing that probably doesn't get enough kudos is the ability in some delves to use environment hazards (like minecarts or exploding spores) against the enemies.
[11:56 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Haven't done the minecart thing in a while, but I'm glad they fixed the spores. There was a time in season 2 where they only knocked enemies back, and while it damaged them for a moment they immediately got the health back.
[3:56 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Wooh, first big wheel of cheese, got Brann from 69 to 71
[6:56 PM]Eönwë Valar: Congrats :}
[May 16, 2025
[10:14 PM]Eönwë Valar: Oh WOW.
[10:15 PM]Eönwë Valar: They actually changed the quest for the cartel chips to include LFR.
[10:17 PM]Eönwë Valar: Good thing I happened to click on the quest giver while walking by. Was going to ignore it completely.
[10:20 PM]Eönwë Valar: I suppose I can tolerate some time in LFR to see if the "Best in Slot" hero weapon is better/more fun than my current hero weapon.
[11:18 PM]Eönwë Valar: Ok, time to find something to test this new weapon on.
[May 17, 2025
[12:57 AM]Eönwë Valar: Even the Radiant Imperial Lynx looks Argenty. If they ever make NE Paladins I'm going to be ready with an Argenty transmog and an Argenty cat.
[12:58 AM]Eönwë Valar: Aw, maybe not... It's ground only.
[3:29 AM]Eönwë Valar: Well, La Mariposa's gonna be jealous, but her nerdy Paladin friend got to lvl 80 first :}
[3:31 AM]Eönwë Valar: Screenshots in the Screenshot channel, and now back to armor for the Nerdy Pally :} I really like that coloration for the Arathi armor, so I might not switch her to Red Judgement after all.
[4:12 AM]Eönwë Valar: So I got my nerdy Prot Pally to lvl 80, decked her out in a bunch of Veteran gear, and so of course the obvious next thing to do was try her out in a T11 Delve, right?
[4:13 AM]Eönwë Valar: Fungal Folly. With judicious use of the exploding spores, cleared it :} Brann set to DPS, 620 ilvl, heh. (edited)
[4:14 AM]Eönwë Valar: 1 death on the final boss, a couple of close calls along the way.
[4:17 AM]Eönwë Valar: If I'm not careful I'll be tempted to get her some Hero gear, heh. (Then all my alts will be jealous and not just La Mariposa.)
[4:20 AM]Eönwë Valar: Oh, interesting. The on-use ability of the book trinkets from Nightfall changes it to one of the other trinkets.
[6:15 AM]Eönwë Valar: La Mariposa now lvl 80 too, and sporting an Alliance blue dress and butterfly wings :} More fun in the Screenshots channel, heh.
[6:17 AM]Eönwë Valar: And I think that's going to be it for my levelling extravaganza during this exp boost.
[6:17 AM]Eönwë Valar: I just got caught up playing a Prot Paladin so I had to keep pushing on that one :}
[6:41 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Grats
[6:41 PM]Eönwë Valar: Thanks :}
[6:47 PM]Eönwë Valar: It's a little too tempting to consider getting her decked out in Champ/Hero gear just to see how well she clears out Delves.
[6:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, if that's what you want to do, why not?
[6:49 PM]Eönwë Valar: Gotta make sure my main gets stuff done in my gaming time :}

[4:29 PM]Varda: Tolkien!
[4:29 PM]Eönwë Valar: Oops, you already mentioned that. Sorry.
[4:29 PM]Varda: Not as clearly. Only 13 more days!
[4:30 PM]Varda: Anyone ready for a Tolkien topic, please type Aule
[4:30 PM]Varda: Aule
[4:32 PM]Varda: Where is Shelob when we have all these crickets? (Yes, I read your comment, Spidey.)
[4:32 PM]Varda: Here's a topic anyway:
[4:32 PM]Varda: What is the importance of the Prancing Pony in Bree?
[4:32 PM]Varda: to the story and the people in the world?
[4:33 PM]Arien Valar: its a news hub and meeting place
[4:34 PM]Varda: True! and food and drink : )
[4:34 PM]Arien Valar: uhu and resting place before entering the shire
[4:35 PM]Arien Valar: or of course in the other direction
[4:41 PM]Varda: True. A way station for many.
[4:41 PM]Varda: It's such a welcoming place that Frodo and his companions become too comfortable. What did that lead to?
[4:45 PM]Varda: It is a hub for such folk as Strider for the Rangers and Gandalf for meetings. Even Thorin goes there suggesting other dwarves do as well, so it can be an amazing meeting spot.
[4:45 PM]Varda: Gandalf sends Frodo and his companions there to meet him or Strider if Gandalf can't reach it in time.
[4:45 PM]Varda: Butterbur passes along important but seemingly unimportant messages, whether or not he realizes how important they really are. He does not write them down so the messages have that bit of safety. He may be slow to remember, but the messages reach their intended people.
[4:45 PM]Varda: It is a place where humans and hobbits are socializing together, and a place that allows all sorts including elves and dwarves when they go through.
[4:46 PM]Varda: (Since our group is mostly needing to be afk, time to call it.)
[4:46 PM]Varda: gavel hops up and down. memememee
[4:46 PM]Varda: thonk
Thus ends this week's meeting. Come back and see us next week!
[4:46 PM]Varda: After-meeting!
[4:51 PM]Arien Valar: pats the gavel and strokes with a sunbeam
[4:51 PM]Varda: the gavel preens
[4:57 PM]Arien Valar: it is where Aragorn and Frodo meet , the first big encounter with the enemy and the first miss of it from enemy s eyes ..
[5:09 PM]Arien Valar: i guess with the role the Pony played for our story that is what happened there it is quite central
[5:10 PM]Arien Valar: oh and i forgot .. the ring had its first big show as well
[5:12 PM]Arien Valar: it is a kind of start/ end point of the main story line in the book .. we get smaller bits before and after . the happenings in the shire namely
[5:14 PM]Arien Valar: if you can think of anything else , feel free to add to it
[5:31 PM]Arien Valar: oh maybe it belongs to the nature of being a meeting place but it was kind of neutral ground .. both parties or lets say all three parties used the Pony for their purposes
[5:38 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie !
[ @Varda Where is Shelob when we have all these crickets? (Yes, I read your comment, Spidey.)
[5:47 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): I am sorry, I was out playing Blood on the Clocktower, live.
[ @Varda

[5:48 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): By the way... since when did we migrate from Landroval?
[7:17 PM]Xavier: Hi everyone waves
[8:27 PM]Varda: Aiya : )
[8:28 PM]Varda: We migrated from Landroval to Peregrin, from Crickhollow to Glamdring. Those 32-bit servers will be going down, and 64-bit is lovely. : )
[8:32 PM]Varda: Checking our News page, we moved from Landroval March 10, from Crickhollow March 15.
[8:47 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): Oh. How do I do the migrating? I have a few characters I want to migrate, including my LotRO deep dive one.
[8:48 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): Never mind, found it. 😄
[8:49 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya all, or, whomever is left. I had to attend a cemetery unveiling today, that required a lengthy stay in Denver this afternoon, now I am back, on a cold, rainy evening. No complaints at all...we desperately need the rain. I hope all of you are well and enjoying a wonderful Valar Guild meeting.
[9:08 PM]Varda: Aiya. Good deal, Shelob. : )
[9:08 PM]Varda: Welcome back, Sandalf : )
[9:09 PM]Sandalf13: Danke!
[9:10 PM]Sandalf13: I am so glad just to be able to say Aiya to everyone...this group is almost like family, after all these years.
[9:12 PM]Varda: Agreed. : )
[9:12 PM]Sandalf13: 🙂
[9:13 PM]Sandalf13: I will finish up down here and head upstairs.'
[9:41 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya, reading up... and those Rumble 3d minis look nice, too bad I don't have a 3d printer 😄
[9:47 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Don't mind my lateness. Health stuff, and a few other distractions. My whole schedule is a bit off this weekend because I spent most of saturday night at my parents' place watching Eurovision.
[9:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Which ultimately led to me sleeping in until like 3 in the afternoon 😄
[9:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also an important role of the Prancing Pony... allowing people to sleep!
[9:58 PM]Sandalf13: I wonder what their check-out time was...
[9:58 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya 🙂
[10:00 PM]Eönwë Valar: Not as late as the Hotel California, I'm sure.
[10:00 PM]Sandalf13: That is for sure...
[10:00 PM]Sandalf13: "You can never leave...."
[10:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: That would fill up the rooms rather quickly.
[10:01 PM]Eönwë Valar: But you can check out any time you like. Very accommodating that.
[10:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: "I can leave any time I want. I just don't want to..."
[10:02 PM]Sandalf13: I always wondered about that song...
[10:02 PM]Eönwë Valar: But they were all just prisoners there of their own device.
[10:02 PM]Sandalf13: And we do indeed all have our own devices, nicht wahr>
[10:03 PM]Eönwë Valar: Aye.
[10:03 PM]Sandalf13: A meme that I found this week...
[Eowyn and Aragorn go to the Thriftshop
[10:04 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There must be something in there that I'm not getting.
[10:04 PM]Sandalf13:
[10:04 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: hehe
[10:04 PM]Eönwë Valar: Don't get the reference either.
[10:05 PM]Sandalf13: That one is pretty obvious, he he...
[10:05 PM]Eönwë Valar: The second one though, heh.
[10:05 PM]Sandalf13: I wonder...have you seen "Rocky," Ar?
[10:05 PM]Sandalf13: And NOT Rocky and Bullwinkle...
[10:06 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Not sure if I've ever seen it or its sequels in full. But I'm definitely aware of it, and some of the moments and themes (and memes), and the song of course 😄
[10:06 PM]Eönwë Valar:Bullwinkle's happy dance'
[10:06 PM]Sandalf13: I think that the first meme was labelled Eowyn and Aragorn go to 7-11...and there he is, drinking a Slurpee, or the like....
[10:08 PM]Eönwë Valar: That last panel of Eowyn makes her look kinda pale.
[10:09 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: That's just the surprise and realization 🙂
[10:09 PM]Sandalf13: Shocked to the core, no doubt....
[10:11 PM]Eönwë Valar: Shocked Fry in Futurama
[10:12 PM]Sandalf13: Casablanca shocked"
[10:13 PM]Varda: heh, his winnings
[10:13 PM]Sandalf13: Yes. That always got me.
[10:14 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And not even trying to hide it 🙂
[10:14 PM]Sandalf13: "Louie,, I think this is the beginning of a great relationship...." walk off into the murk of a Casablanca evening.
[10:23 PM]Sandalf13: Well....Namarie, y'all...have a great week!
[10:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: "You played it for her, you can play it for me. If she can stand it, I can." YouTube - Casablanca - Rick's "play it Sam"
[10:23 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!
[10:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: Sleep well Sandalf.
[10:23 PM]Sandalf13: Thanks! Sei gesund!
[10:26 PM]Varda: Namarie
[10:27 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'll go do a Rumble session and then launch into the report
[10:27 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'm totally not going to go do a T9 delve on my Nerdy Pally, heh.
[10:33 PM]Varda: uh huh...
[11:45 PM]Eönwë Valar: She's got her first piece of hero gear, and of course it would end up being a trinket :}
[May 19, 2025
[3:22 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: K, well, that turned out well... got sleepy halfway through Rumble. Nights can be such a mess
[3:22 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Personal gaming report!
[3:24 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: For (non)flashgaming, a nice puzzle platformer I haven't seen in what looks like a few years.
[3:26 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: RawEgg's Aurie" is nice and relaxing with small levels, from the same maker of Dumo which I linked a few weeks ago.
[3:26 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The idea is simple: Grab the purple squares to activate the door, then get to the door.
[3:27 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There will be platforms in the air which you can rotate, allowing you to get to different places, as well as unlocking doors by pushing buttons.
[3:27 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: If you need to change which ones line up at the same time, touching one will nullify its rotation.
[3:28 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: So touch stuff and move stuff and move around yourself in the right order to complete all the levels!
[3:57 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Right, took a while, but I completed it again
[3:57 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Blizzard gaming:
[3:59 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Actually managed to poke a few minutes of Diablo 4! After going through some of my old screenshots and a let's play of the first bit on youtube, I remembered what had happened in my earlier questing of this campaign, and went in, hoping to continue.
[3:59 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Only to find my bank completely full and my bags completely full after an old treasure goblin event.
[4:00 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: So instead I took the time to clear out one of the 6 bank chests and get some room for all the items from the treasure bags, mostly by salvaging a bunch of legendaries I had more than one copy of, though usually of a different item type but witht he same effect.
[4:01 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I do have some room to continue now, though, so hopefully I will!
[4:03 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hearthstone: Level 83 on the reward track now. Slow going, but should still get to 100 easily!
[4:04 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Mini-Set is out, Embers of the World Tree. Lots of Fyrakk and fire and druids of the flame and you get the idea. Based on the last Dragonflight raid.
[4:05 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Luckily the shop's back and I could buy the entire set for 2000 gold. Time to save up again!
[4:06 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also comes with a new quest event focused on the cards and theme of the mini-set, including fire spells and Dark Gift minions. Though spells and minions of any kind will do if you like, these just give double credit to the quests. First one was about playing mini-set cards, though, so if you can't buy the full set, better hope you got a few from normal packs!
[4:07 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Final reward for the event is a hunter skin, Ardenweald Huln, from yet another WoW expansion Luckily the whole world tree story is connected.
[4:08 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Brawl is... the brawliseum again. In other words, the heroic arena that costs a lot of gold that I never do.
[4:08 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: So for my 5 wins quest I had to resort to battlegrounds instead.
[4:08 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: But I played it simple and went for elementals all the way, and got into the top 4 most of the time, which counts as a win for quests.
[4:10 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Warcraft rumble: No new collection level. I think I got one new mini-level overall by getting one of the few remaining at the 37500 track into the 90000 track. Hard to tell sometimes, since those are generally the ones I already have epic and therefore have a higher level than the others. But we're getting there!
[4:12 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Dungeon's still going well as I completed a level 23 with each leader in the blackrock week and a few for the undead week as well. Which means more gold, yay! Not really much to report for the dungeon anymore since it's all the same now, and whether I clear level 23 with each leader or not in any given week/dungeon isn't that remarkable. Just means 100 gold more or less.
[4:13 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'll pick up dungeon news again if we get a new leader, though I should probably start looking into sieges and raids as well...
[4:14 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Doing some more pvp for this new season as well, making my way through the seasonal track. Almost at the end, and getting some good amounts of gold and tomes.
[4:15 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In the heroic sigil campaign, more progress through Winterspring! Completed the Shy-Rotam tiger duo with all families, though blackrock gave me a bit of trouble. And cleared Azurous, the next one, with 4 families. It takes some air, which my rivendare army is apparently lacking more than I'd like, but with Sylvanas as leader it was easy.
[4:15 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Now at 143 sigils!
[4:16 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also went through a surge in the Winterspring zone this week, allowing me to take a look at the fifth boss again as well. Seems a simple boss, I wonder how they'll have spruced him up for heroic. Hopefully we'll see in a few days!
[4:19 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: No quality upgrades, though I'm getting lots of extra gold now which I'm throwing at the Grid, getting stars for all the minis rather evenly, though a few bonus deals have come by for uncommon and rare. There's an epic deal for Rivendare up right now as well, for which I'm saving up 3000 gold, which will of course get him straight to epic, but depending on his progress - don't know it off the top of my head - he might also get really close to legendary... which would be a first!
[4:19 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: WoW:
[4:21 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: More raiding, including a farm of the first 5 bosses on heroic. I've yet to visit the last 3 in heroic, since my sundays - prior to the meeting - are so busy. But I am getting more crests and stones to upgrade the gear I already have, which is very nice.
[4:23 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Weekly is classic timewalking, always fun, especially since even with the tune-up I'm still outgearing it by quite a bit. And apparently so are the dps puggers I'm working with
[4:24 AM]Eönwë Valar: Don't think the tune-up has taken effect yet.
[4:24 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And other than that it's delves! Finished the season 2 journey, getting the new character screen campsite as linked in the screenshots channel.
[4:24 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah, that might explain it
[4:24 AM]Eönwë Valar: If they were the rewards should've gone to 25 badges from 10.
[4:24 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Good point though I didn't really pay attention to that.
[4:25 AM]Eönwë Valar: I ran one for the easy 500 badges but the gear is only champ and I didn't feel like going for 4 more with all the other stuff I was cramming in, heh.
[4:25 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Getting some more delves done on tier 11, including a few I hadn't done at all this season. Trial by fire, though I'd already seen them plenty in their season 1 versions.
[4:26 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hmm, I suppose that works, though I think I need it for the trading post as well, still have about 200 to go there
[4:26 AM]Eönwë Valar: Well that's a good reason for it :} I had another month of doing enough in the first week to be done with the Trading Post, heh.
[4:26 AM]Eönwë Valar: I prefer it that way :}
[4:27 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also got a new pet from the delves, the Violet Sporbit! And not from a fungarian delve, so that truly rules out the idea of only getting a pet from their specific races. Good to know.
[4:27 AM]Eönwë Valar: Stuff I'm already doing getting it done so I don't have to figure out how to cram in a few more points at the end of the month.
[4:27 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Guess I can just go anywhere.
[4:27 AM]Eönwë Valar: Congrats :}
[4:27 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Smart idea, usually enough for me as well, but some months are just slow
[4:27 AM]Eönwë Valar: Aye
[4:28 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And as mentioned earlier I got my first Big Wheel of Cheese from the big delve boost event, getting Brann 2 levels at once, from 69 to 71! The end of my goals for this season are definitely creeping up. Which is good if I want some horrific visions in!
[4:30 AM]Eönwë Valar: Still don't think I'll be getting Underpin on ?? this round despite the extra 2 upgrade chances on Hero gear.
[4:30 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yeah, I'm not looking forward to trying that either. Of course, after not getting Zek'vir on ?? either, it takes the pressure off.
[4:31 AM]Eönwë Valar: Yeah, but it's crazy Zek'vir's still rough.
[4:31 AM]Eönwë Valar: Must've been some pretty powerful boosts Brann was giving in Season 1.
[4:32 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Or they scaled him up.
[4:32 AM]Eönwë Valar: Either way.
[4:33 AM]Eönwë Valar: Last I heard they nerfed the drop chance of his rewards so if they scaled him up they shouldn't have.
[4:39 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: True.
[4:40 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: By the way, googling the horrific visions a bit, I found out that the originals are still available, and there's no end-date mentioned for the new ones... do we actually know if these are temporary?
[4:40 AM]Eönwë Valar: If there's an announcement of them being temporary, I've missed it.
[4:41 AM]Eönwë Valar: Doubt they'll be useful beyond Season 2, but other than that...
[4:41 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I mean, the helm enchants are season 2 only, yes, but...
[4:41 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: yeah.
[4:42 AM]Eönwë Valar: I'm sure they're throw some sort of time gate on the highest achievements like they usually do. We'll see how long that is and how people react to it if it's too short.
[4:43 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I think there was a title, at least, in the original that's no longer obtainable.
[4:44 AM]Eönwë Valar: As long as they make it obtainable by people who aren't in Mythic gear...
[4:45 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Heh, I hope so. The upgrade track for visions itself does not look as impressive as I remember, anyway.
[4:45 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Maybe all the power was in the cloak.
[4:46 AM]Eönwë Valar: A good chunk of the sanity boost/drain resist, yes I'm pretty sure it was.
[4:46 AM]Eönwë Valar: I'm mildly curious how well I'd do right now going through an old vision without the cloak, heh.
[4:48 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Anyway, that's my report for the week
[4:49 AM]Eönwë Valar: :}
[4:50 AM]Eönwë Valar: Might as well throw in here for those who don't always check out the Games Site news, that the Landroval and Crickhollow pages have officially been moved to "Retired" Status and the new Peregrin and Glamdring pages have been posted.
[4:51 AM]Eönwë Valar: All LotRO branch pages have been updated to indicate Peregrin is our new primary server.
[4:51 AM]Eönwë Valar: If you notice a mistake, please let me know. Player Tables for the new servers coming soon.
[4:53 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!
[4:53 AM]Eönwë Valar: Sleep well :}
[11:05 AM]Sandalf13: A very geologic message for all of you Tolkien lovers out there in the Valar Guild... Image
[11:05 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Ooh, I like it But LotR will probably outlive me by a few million years!
[11:06 AM]Sandalf13: Good day, Ar! Yes, you are right...
[1:21 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): But still, a couple million years on a couple billion years is still 1 in 1.000. Still quite steep odds.
[1:22 PM]Spidey (Ungwetari/Shelob): I mean, you'd have a much greater chance to have lived with actual dinosaurs.
[3:55 PM]Eönwë Valar: I like this one. Image
