Topic: How does JRRT bring across the idea of a hobbit hole's being comfortable?
[October 25, 2024k
[1:44 AM]Eönwë Valar: Looks like the 12-hour vote counts down in game-time, not in real-time.
[10:51 PM]Eönwë Valar: Hallow's End is going, and for those of you who've played WoW for 2 decades, don't forget the Headless Horseman doesn't have the multiple rounds like he used to.
[October 26, 2024k
[5:32 AM]Eönwë Valar: Heh, just remembered I could use the Dungeon Finder to queue for follower dungeons.
[5:33 AM]Eönwë Valar: Got used to having to go out to the Delves pretty quick.

[4:04 PM]Varda: We should expect to see lots of Halloween themed stuff going on in all our games.
[4:04 PM]Varda: Just so much fun to make the "spooky".

[4:05 PM]Varda: and...candy!

[4:05 PM]Varda: Eonwe, would you like to take this slightly sticky gavel out of the candy bowl, for Gaming News?

[Go ahead Pallando.
[4:07 PM]Léod: How!
[4:08 PM]Varda: Aiya Leod : )
[4:09 PM]Léod: Aiya!
[4:10 PM]Varda: Eonwe, how do we make the reaction?
[4:10 PM]Eönwë Valar: To react to what people say: Hover mouse over their text, click on the smiley, and choose one. 1
[4:10 PM]Pallando-Valar: Hi!
[4:10 PM]Eönwë Valar: Heya :}
[4:11 PM]Pallando-Valar: The Eve online AT finished today. I will not spoil the winner, but it's a very, very fun day
[4:12 PM]Pallando-Valar: The next expansion is also just around the corner, and will have new ships. We still don't have much more int he way of details about them, but we know that their weapon ignores resists, goes through shield/armor/hull, and the damage does not stack.
[4:12 PM]Varda: Aiya Blue Wizard of Eve : )
[4:13 PM]Pallando-Valar: That's it for now. Once the expansion comes out and we get the full details I'll update here.
[4:13 PM]Varda: Might not need to stack if it ignores resists?
[4:13 PM]Varda: That would be great. : )
[4:13 PM]Eönwë Valar: Did the expansion have a name?
[4:15 PM]Varda: (That's an awful lot of reaction images! Guess we have to peruse well ahead of using.)
[4:16 PM]Varda: Sorry, what does AT stand for?
[4:16 PM]Pallando-Valar: Alliance Tournament
[4:17 PM]Pallando-Valar: The expansion is Havoc, and it releases Nov 14. 1
[4:17 PM]Eönwë Valar: Thanks Pallando.
[4:17 PM]Varda: Thank you. : )
[4:19 PM]Eönwë Valar: As for the reactions, it helps to have an idea of what you're looking for. You can do a name-search, or even try basic descriptions to see what it brings up, but it helps to know what you're looking for.
[4:20 PM]Eönwë Valar: On with Gaming.
[4:20 PM]Eönwë Valar: World of Warcraft:
[4:20 PM]Eönwë Valar: 20th Anniversary Celebration is going. One of the achievements comes with a mount, so don't miss that at least.
[4:21 PM]Eönwë Valar: Some stuff to do at the event itself, also some stuff to fly around or queue for.
[4:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: Updated T2 sets are available for the new currency. Focus on the ones you want first; don't let "collect 'em all" tendencies take over until you've got what's important to you or not coming back. And of course, have fun :}
[4:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: Here's what's going on: 20th Anniversary
[4:24 PM]Léod: Is it any fun?
[4:26 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'd say most of it is at least amusing. Some of it plays more on nostalgia and so the fun is tied to that.
[4:26 PM]Léod: Ok, thank you.
[4:27 PM]Eönwë Valar: I haven't tried the Blackrock Depths raid on anything but LFR because when I've been on all I've seen in the queue are people selling runs.
[4:29 PM]Eönwë Valar: If we had 15 members at about 600 ilvl scattered across the many NA servers and able to match our times, I'd say it'd be worth at least trying to get together for it just because, but we don't and I wouldn't tell someone to start WoW just for that.
[4:29 PM]Léod: I spent entirely too much time in Blackrock Depths to ever go back for any reason!
[4:30 PM]Eönwë Valar: The boss fights are redesigned.
[4:30 PM]Léod: Does that help somehow?
[4:31 PM]Eönwë Valar: Help? Not really, just makes them different if you happen to remember the fights from back in the day. I haven't taken more than one shot to beat them in so long I can't claim to remember the mechanics, heh.
[4:31 PM]Léod: LOL! Makes sense.
[4:34 PM]Varda: The stomp of Eonwe.
[4:34 PM]Eönwë Valar: But it was an amusing nostalgia trip, and I'll do the LFR once a week for the bronze tokens to try and get the stuff I want from the event, but chances of getting into normal or heroic diff are probably slim even though I'm sitting at 610 ilvl right now.

[4:36 PM]Eönwë Valar: DST came into play I'm guessing.
[4:37 PM]Arien Valar: aiya
[4:37 PM]Varda: Eonwe is still in WoW news. : )
[4:37 PM]Eönwë Valar: There will also be a Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct on November 13th. I'm interested to see what we'll hear (heh). World of Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct, 20th Anniversary Celebration
[4:38 PM]Arien Valar: yeah i wasnt a hundred percent sure whether it would alffect the meeting which way round . so confusing but carry on of course

[4:43 PM]Eönwë Valar: D'oh, Additional WoW news:
[Hallow's End is going, so if there's something you haven't got from that yet (new stuff this year btw) don't forget to fit that in as well.
[4:45 PM]Eönwë Valar: With the Anniversay going, there's also a special Timewalking dungeon event going, with some Classic dungeons being in the rotation. It doesn't have the same reward as the usual timewalking events, but it's also not heroic versions.
[4:46 PM]Eönwë Valar: Again, fun nostalgia trip if you haven't spent alot of time in those dungeons since classic. Probably not so exciting if you level alot of alts through dungeons.
[4:48 PM]Eönwë Valar: Seems to be accessible starting at level 10, so if you're levelling anyway, might as well grab the quest at the Anniversary grounds and join that queue.
[4:48 PM]Eönwë Valar: And that's it from me.
[4:49 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya, catching up.
[4:49 PM]Pallando-Valar: Sorry, apparently we do know the stats for the new ships, they were revealed on the AT stream today, I just missed it. Stats from Eve's Reddit community"
[They do a fraction of the total hp of the ship up to a cap per second for 75 seconds. They don't stack, but they do get their own standard weapons, along with covops cloaks, and a lot of conventional damage. Details are in the screencaps in the post above. It is.... very interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about the weapon system. I for sure don't like the fluffy side of how there's a pirate line that gets a unique weapon but there we go (I also don't like vortrons and entropics, fwiw..). The ships seem pretty overtuned with that damage. We'll see I guess.
[4:50 PM]Varda: Thanks. We tend to have the "more" sections for gaming. : )
[4:51 PM]Varda: Starcraft 2: Eowyn, Fangorn, Faramir, Floppa.
[4:51 PM]Varda: Lord of the Rings Online:

[4:52 PM]Varda: Purple dye, through Oct 31 Code: ITSPURPLE
[4:52 PM]Varda: Go ahead, Leod.
[4:52 PM]Léod: You can still get the three day prize if you hurry, but you can't get the fourteen day prize, as the festival will end before then.
[4:53 PM]Varda: Some nice prizes in there!
[4:53 PM]Léod: Also, it's crafting weekend so get to crafting if you want the bonus exp for it.
[4:53 PM]Varda: crafters all push to go through the door to LotRO
[4:54 PM]Léod: Also, don't forget the festival dyes if that's your thing, you'll have to wait a long time if you want these particular two for festival coins.

[4:55 PM]Varda: I admit to mostly showing up in Landroval. Not enough hours in the day.
[4:55 PM]Léod: I still play on Landy, but I've had some tech difficulties on there so I usually go back to 64 bit Angmar.
[4:56 PM]Léod: I'm getting spoiled.
[4:56 PM]Varda: That 64-bit is really nice!
[4:56 PM]Varda: Looking forward to all of the servers having that.
[4:56 PM]Léod: Me too!
[4:57 PM]Varda: But hoping they don't shove those lesser wraiths at us all the time in the future. Maybe just turn them on if you want them.
[4:57 PM]Varda: I kind of like the idea of the ringwraith event appearances, rather like the Amarthiel raids a long while back.
[4:58 PM]Léod: Me too!
[4:58 PM]Léod:
[4:58 PM]Varda: Any other gaming or membership news? Requests? Suggestions? Invites needed?
[4:58 PM]Varda: We need to move on to
[4:58 PM]Varda: Tolkien!
[4:59 PM]Varda: Getting late. : )
[4:59 PM]Varda: Here's one for you:
[4:59 PM]Varda: How does JRRT bring across the idea of a hobbit hole's being comfortable?
[4:59 PM]Varda: Sweetening the pot: He starts with contrast.
[5:00 PM]Eönwë Valar: "It was a Hobbit hole, and that means comfort." Pretty straight-forward. But yeah, he talks about uncomfortable holes first :}
[5:01 PM]Léod: Not a nasty, smelly, tunnel filled with the ends of worms... (paraphrased)
[5:02 PM]Léod: I'm sorry, but I have to leave.
[5:03 PM]Varda: It's that time, Leod. : )
[5:03 PM]Léod: I have a regular engagement at 6pm on Sundays. Have a great rest of your meeting!
[5:03 PM]Varda: We started Tolkien late!
[5:03 PM]Varda: Namarie!
[5:03 PM]Léod: Bye!
[5:03 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie! And caught up.
[5:04 PM]Varda: gavel slides down a hole to the hammerpad
[5:04 PM]Varda: thump
[5:04 PM]Eönwë Valar: Engage well.
[5:04 PM]Varda: After-meeting!
[5:04 PM]Varda: And we can continue with holes with no earthworms sticking their heads through!
[5:04 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Sturdy walls within the hobbit holes should help. No worms and dirt falling through.
[5:05 PM]Varda: Aye : )
[5:05 PM]Eönwë Valar: I believe he mentioned it not being like a goblin-hole either.
[5:05 PM]Varda: Just being underground would help keep temperatures stable in a fairly pleasant range.
[5:06 PM]Varda: Could have been inspired by their underground larders. Set up a snack area next to it, then just move in.
[5:06 PM]Eönwë Valar: hehe
[5:06 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Why bother bringing food out to your home, when you can build your home around the food?
[5:06 PM]Eönwë Valar: Could be that's how they protected their food in their less sophisticated days: since they couldn't exactly hang it from a tree so easily, they dug a hole.
[5:09 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There's probably also plenty of windows letting in light, maybe some lamps, much comfortable furniture...
[5:10 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: As for what's specifically written, I'm not sure But the food definitely helps!
[5:11 PM]Eönwë Valar: My copy of the Hobbit is in an unreachable zone right now.
[5:11 PM]Varda: They did a lot of farming, needed to preserve their food.
[5:11 PM]Varda: Did you drop it down a well? : )
[5:12 PM]Varda: j/k
[5:12 PM]Eönwë Valar: hehe
[5:12 PM]Varda: We hear of pleasant rooms, fireplaces
[5:12 PM]Arien Valar: he had lots of chairs and beds , and hooks for cloaks for the hobbit liked having visitors
[5:12 PM]Varda: The houses seem to stretch out a good bit underground.
[5:13 PM]Varda: The farming soil may have been fairly reasonable to dig into. And an underground house allows more farming area.
[5:13 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V:
"It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle." (so how would you know which way to open it?) "The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats - the hobbit was fond of visitors."
[5:14 PM]Eönwë Valar: The rich ones did. The poorer families weren't quite so extravagant. The proper tools for expanding a Hobbit hole likely don't come cheap.
[5:15 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V:
"The tunnel wound on and on, down from the door wh going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill - The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it - and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another."
[5:16 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hmm, more than one entrance, at least.
[5:16 PM]Eönwë Valar: Makes sense how people could sneak in then.
[5:16 PM]Eönwë Valar: After that "Gross" birthday party.
[5:17 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V:
"No going upstairs for the hobbit: bedrooms, bathrooms, cellars, pantries (lots of these), wardrobes (he had whole rooms devoted to clothes), kitchens, dining-rooms, all were on the same floor, and indeed on the same passage."
[5:17 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: He'd better have a floor plan, then.
[5:17 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Or signs on the doors.
[5:18 PM]Eönwë Valar: A map at each door: "You are here."
[5:18 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V:
"The best rooms were all on the left-hand side (going in), for these were the only ones to have windows, deep-set round windows looking over his garden, and meadows beyond, sloping down to the river."
[5:18 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Heh, that's something at least
[5:18 PM]Eönwë Valar: "The nearest teapot is here."
[5:18 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And that's the description of the Hole.
[5:18 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The whole description, if you will.
[5:19 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Seems pretty comfortable to me!
[5:19 PM]Eönwë Valar: Yep.
[5:21 PM]Eönwë Valar: Comfortable for 11 or 12 Hobbits, even. Sam and Rosie had plenty of room for all their kids, heh.
[5:22 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Makes me wonder how Bilbo kept it clean on his own.
[5:22 PM]Eönwë Valar: Might've paid someone to come in and dust every now and then, but he probably didn't use most of it, except for visitors.
[5:22 PM]Varda: Shut off unused rooms?
[5:23 PM]Arien Valar: rather keep them ready for unexpected visitors i d think
[5:23 PM]Arien Valar: just in emergency
[5:24 PM]Eönwë Valar: And his guests probably helped keep the place clean too. Sometimes with singing and much fretting over bent forks and broken plates.
[5:24 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: "Oh, look, Rosie, another room closed off by masters Bilbo and Frodo. Let's see what's in here." Cue lots of dust and spider webs
[1
[5:24 PM]Varda: Having all the windows on one side would also help navigation.
[5:24 PM]Varda: And thanks, Phar.
[5:25 PM]Varda: So they had bathrooms. We know they enjoyed taking tub baths.
[5:25 PM]Arien Valar: little Pippin chased by bigger Elanor oh i just wanna see whats in there! maybe still some jools from granpa!#
[5:25 PM]Varda: sprinkles some shiny stones and bits of metal for them to spot
[@Varda
[Having all the windows on one side would also help navigation.
[5:25 PM]Eönwë Valar: True.
[5:26 PM]Varda: The windows could keep down the candle and lantern bill.
[5:26 PM]Varda: I wonder if the rooms had vents to the top not just for air but for light.
[5:26 PM]Eönwë Valar: They'd have to have some means of air flow.
[5:27 PM]Varda: I saw photos of a real underground house with such vents, rigged to prevent water from entering.
[5:27 PM]Varda: The vents were on the higher ground of the hill.
[5:28 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: sunroof?
[5:28 PM]Eönwë Valar: Gotta have one at least angled just right to get the moonlight to strike the disco ball during celebrations.
[5:28 PM]Arien Valar: yes probably ** and sun terrace with some comfy bed thingies there for sun bathing
[5:29 PM]Arien Valar: and maybe a telescope for watching stars
[5:29 PM]Arien Valar: well .. the nightsky anyway
[5:30 PM]Eönwë Valar: Hmm, I wonder about telescopes.
[5:33 PM]Eönwë Valar: I could see them fitting in Hobbit society, but I wonder if they would've made them.
[5:33 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: They did have glass, right?
[5:35 PM]Eönwë Valar: I want to say yes, but I'm trying to think of the evidence.
[5:36 PM]Eönwë Valar: Glass is pretty old, so it's not unreasonable they'd have it.
[5:36 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hmhm.
[5:38 PM]Arien Valar: well .. i think if they had them they d probably trade them maybe through Bree or from traveling dwarves
[5:38 PM]Arien Valar: probably only the more adventurous ones would have them i suspect
[5:39 PM]Varda: Bag End would have glass if any place did.
[5:39 PM]Arien Valar: so maybe, possibly would have one i d imagine
[5:39 PM]Varda: And one hobbit girl liked looking at her face in a mirror.
[5:39 PM]Varda: So they could have come up with a spotting scope or simple telescope eventually.
[5:40 PM]Arien Valar: insert Bilbo
[5:40 PM]Eönwë Valar: Having a telescope would be a pretty big strategic advantage for any army.
[5:41 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The Shire was not particularly militarily inclined, though.
[5:41 PM]Arien Valar: don t think that they thought that far , aye Phari
[5:43 PM]Eönwë Valar: Aye, I was thinking in more general terms, like any of the races producing them. I suspect given their natural sight, Elves wouldn't use them for much more than stargazing and so might not bother with anything small, but the Numenoreans were sailors. Having a telescope they could fit on their person would be useful.
[5:44 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: It would be an incentive to invent them, true.
[5:46 PM]Eönwë Valar: At the very least: "The Valar said we can't go further West than we can still see the shores of Numenor. With this, I can still get pretty far West and see Numenor!" (edited)
[5:46 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: hehe
[5:47 PM]Varda: An ocean is huge, so aye, this could have happened. : )
[5:47 PM]Arien Valar: save for one guy of course who said .. why bother with the valar .. and just see what they have .. I just go there and take it for my own!"
[5:47 PM]Eönwë Valar: Wouldn't it be funny if Pharazon had on his ship, as he was invading Aman, a telescope that would let him see Numenor from the crow's nest?
[5:48 PM]Varda: And just stay there in a hole of his own.
[5:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hmm, gave me a good view of when the place was sunk.
[5:48 PM]Varda: Now we know why the clouds were needed!
[5:48 PM]Varda: What a thing to see for oneself!
[5:49 PM]Varda: but oboy. There goes my wardrobe. And my favorite fill in the blank.
[5:49 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: "I wonder if my wife's ok."
[5:50 PM]Arien Valar: pictures Ar Pharazon in a crows nest on a sinking ship with just the telescope sticking out and he peering through it until the last second .. the last sight just seeing the shorelight of Aman
[6:04 PM]Eönwë Valar: Ladies and gentlemen, I must be off., but before I go I'll reveal you why Hobbit holes are made to be comfortable.
[6:04 PM]Arien Valar: righttj
[6:04 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie all
[6:04 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!
[6:04 PM]Eönwë Valar: They're comfortable because the hobbit ladies need a place to dance while they play the violin: YouTube - Celtic Woman - Across the World
[6:05 PM]Varda: An excellent reason!
[6:06 PM]Eönwë Valar: Face it: Hobbit men would dance on rocks and crags, but only carpets and grass are fit for the feet of a hobbit lass.
[6:06 PM]Arien Valar: True
[6:08 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Nahh, I bet most hobbit females were as practical and no-nonsense as the males, and could easily dance on a rock
[6:08 PM]Eönwë Valar: Hehe
[6:08 PM]Eönwë Valar: Anyway, I'm off now. Take care, good night, sleep well, and enjoy the song :} And if you haven't sent something in for the Anniversary, you have 4 days left!
[6:09 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!
[6:10 PM]Varda: Namarie
[6:15 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie !

[12:10 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Bit of a nap later, here's...
[12:10 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Personal gaming report:
[12:11 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: For (non)flashgaming, here's Kongregate: Puzlogic Plus
[12:11 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: A sudoku like game where you have to place blocks with numbers on empty spaces in the grid.
[12:13 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: First rule is that there can be no same numbers in a row or column; later on there will be other rules such as color totals and particular grouping.
[12:14 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Make use of all the clues to fill in the entire board! And if you don't make mistakes and don't use the options to show said mistakes or fade out completed clues, you'll get extra stars. Get all the stars, and you get a bit of bonus content!
[12:26 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Blizzard gaming:
[12:39 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Diablo 4: No new levels on the druid, but he did finish chapter 1 of the new campaign, finding his way into the new zone after fighting back the Hollows from the connecting bridge, and getting backstabbed by the Burning Knights. After floating down the river for a bit and getting patched up by Eru (not that one!) he's now ready to head into the jungle to look for Neyrelle.
[12:40 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got a few gear upgrades as well, slowly losing the old Legacy gear he was wearing.
[12:41 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hearthstone: Level 140 on the reward track now. New expansion shouldn't be too long away, so not sure how much higher we'll go
[12:42 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well on track on the new quest event for the Darkmoon Faire. It helps that for this one, the daily quests are 100 event xp rather than 75; should have a bit more margin to complete the track.
[12:44 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Brawl is a halloween one called Rise of the Zombeasts, where you both play the death knight version of the hunter hero Rexxar, and can discover and stitch random beasts together to get the stats and abilities for both, but also the mana cost!
[12:44 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Much randomness abound, gotta get lucky too
[12:45 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Warcraft Rumble: Much working on the Hallow's End challenges, fighting the Wereworgen this week, and getting challenges done for all the temporary event minis that show up in your deck on different days.
[12:46 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Including putting enemy minis into pumpkins until you free them, a rather overpowered version of the plague farmer that heavily bombs the enemy, and various boost spells.
[12:47 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I managed to unlock the Headless Horseman mini on the reward track as well, which allowed me to start several more challenges as well, including pvp battles.
[12:48 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And with the Horseman portrait got as well, all the major unique rewards are gotten from the track, though I'd like to get a few more tomes for xp on the track before it's over
[12:49 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got my collection level to 45 as well, mostly because of the horseman's levels
[12:50 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Dungeon going well, as I completed level 22 with Cenarius, getting full gold slots for him. New beast week not going as well yet, as Hogger is failing level 21 so far.
[12:51 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, and earlier in the week on the challenge track, also unlocked the Dire Batlings mini, and the Wereworgen portrait.
[12:52 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In the heroic sigil campaign, defeated Magatha Grimtotem with all families, and Cairne Bloodhoof himself with 2 families, including my horde team led by... Cairne Bloodhoof.
[12:53 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: That puts me at 119 sigils, and on track to complete the Thousand Needles zone next week.
[12:55 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Some more quality upgrades as well! There was a challenge for getting the new Headless Horseman to rare quality, so I pushed the Big Red Button to refresh the Grid enough times to get the Horseman on there, and then applied the Rare-o-matic grid buff, also gotten from the reward track, to upgrade him straight to Rare, allowing him to get 2 talents straight from the beginning. Of the 2 I want, I got the Decapitate talent already.
[12:58 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And I also got the talent I wanted for the Chimaera, so there's that! Now we wait for the second Horseman talent.
[12:59 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: WoW:
[1:00 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Bit more raiding, bit more tanking, bit more gear upgrades, including epics for every slot.
[1:01 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hallow's End event is going on, which is basically fighting the Horseman boss every day, hoping for some of the items of his I'm missing. No luck so far.
[1:02 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also the anniversary event has started, with lots of currency to get and people to talk to. I got a few of the intro quests done, started the classic timewalking which is an anniversary-related weekly quest, and been working on a few worldbosses with 2 alts - mage and hunter - that still need cloth and mail pieces from them.
[1:04 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The mage has leveled up that way to 65. Hunter hasn't leveled yet. I did decide to use my Timerunner hunter, Callyfozz the vulpera, rather than the usual night elf huntress Caliona, since he's higher level now and therefore can get around more easily. Though that did mean figuring out the layout of the Orgrimmar portal room
[1:04 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Seems slightly less intuitive than the Stormwind version, but it's easy enough.
[1:09 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: No luck from those worldbosses yet, but I did get some new stuff from other places: There's a set from the Headless Horseman that'll drop a new random piece for every first kill of the day, with no duplicates, so you're guaranteed to get the full set in 8 days. And I visited the classic timewalking vendor, where I got all the new unique appearances, as well as a mount (Frayfeather Hippogryph), 2 pets (Craggles and Misty) and a toy (the Practice Ravager, allowing you to spin around with an axe).
[1:09 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I still have weekly activities to do for the event before the next reset, but there's still a few days left, I should have a lot of time on tuesday.
[1:10 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Other than that, more delves!
[1:11 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got Brann up to level 36, and completed all the stories for Fungal Folly, The Spiral Weave, and Skittering Breach. Also got enough Delver's Journey levels to get all the remaining purchaseable dirigible customizations, including the zeppelin top and a brown recolor with optional decal. Looking good in my blimp
[1:12 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And that's my report for the week!
[1:13 AM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie
[11:02 AM]Varda: Happy belated Navy Day to Sandalf, for yesterday!
