Before-Meeting

June 11, 2024

[4:44 AM]Eönwë Valar: Ok, solo'd Terrace of Endless Spring.

[4:45 AM]Eönwë Valar: So now:

[6:08 AM]Eönwë Valar: OK, so final assessment is it's currently impossible to get your necklace in WoW Remix solo because, even if you can overpower all of the bosses (Throne of Thunder and Siege of Orgrimmar are my last two to try soloing) Galakras in Siege of Orgrimmar has a mechanic that requires 2 hits from the cannons in 3 seconds. Problem is the cannons each have a 4 second cooldown, so one person can't possibly do it.

[6:09 AM]Eönwë Valar: And skipping Galakras is impossible if you wanted to try and fight the rest.

[6:09 AM]Eönwë Valar: So that's that.

[6:11 AM]Eönwë Valar: I've got one more pass on upgrading all my gear then I'll be as strong as that can make me, but won't matter for the purposes of soloing at least one particular raid.

June 12, 2024

[3:12 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: K, tried it out, 1364 threads right now. Plenty to go

June 13, 2024

[2:31 AM]Eönwë Valar: I've maxed out my gear. Now all that's left is collecting and seeing if I get strong enough to solo more heroic raids.

[2:32 AM]Eönwë Valar: But Siege will be out of the question unless they readjust the Galakras encounter to be soloable.

[3:47 AM]Eönwë Valar: Sweet: Hotfixes: World of Warcraft June 12, 2024. Nice changes to WoW Remix.

[3:48 AM]Eönwë Valar: Wouldn't have noticed if I didn't get 540 strength from a legendary thread.,

[3:50 AM]Eönwë Valar: Now if they'd make Galakras soloable I'm sure I could get to the point to solo Mythic Siege, lol.

[4:39 AM]Eönwë Valar: Ugh. I'm never doing The Crumbled Chamberlain quest again... unless I somehow forget how annoying it is again.

[4:46 AM]Eönwë Valar: I'd Already topped 6 million HP before the buffs. Won't be surprised if I top 20 million before the end, heh.

June 14, 2024

[2:34 AM]Eönwë Valar: Got all the remix achievements now. Only transmog collecting to do now.

June 15, 2024

[4:27 PM]Eönwë Valar: *Transmog, mounts, and toys.

<9:11 PM]Eönwë Valar: YouTube: ODE TO FURY by Miracle Of Sound (GOD OF WAR) (Viking/Nordic/Dark Fo...

[9:33 PM]Eönwë Valar: In early celebration of Father's Day (since I'll probably have to work), here: YouTube: My favorite running joke in HISHE This will never not be wholesome, and awesome, and just plain fun to watch.

[4:15 PM]Varda: Thank you on their behalf.

[4:18 PM]Varda: Check out this week's hotfixes.

[4:19 PM]Sandalf13: Note: The OUTER CORE of the Earth is molten, while the inner core is SOLID, of a material type of which we have no surface models....we have no idea what it looks like.

[4:19 PM]Varda: ?

[4:19 PM]Sandalf13: I was referring to your Season of Discovery Phase 4 picture.

[4:20 PM]Varda: The very center part is solid, as I understand, sitting in molten goodies. So ok

[4:20 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah, the Molten Core

[4:20 PM]Sandalf13: Sort of, Ar....

[4:20 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yeah, that's not actually near the core, but underneath a volcano

[4:20 PM]Varda: Aye, not the Earth, but a volcano

[4:20 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: You should see it as the core of the mountain, basically, not the core of the planet.

[4:21 PM]Varda: The Arkenstone!

[4:21 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: haha

[4:21 PM]Sandalf13: I understand...could not get past the chance ot make a geologic comment...more on this later.

[4:21 PM]Varda: Neato

Diablo IV:

[4:21 PM]Varda: Diablo 4:

[4:24 PM]Varda: Diablo Immortal:

[4:24 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: "Buddies are powerful minions assigned to each Hero. Every Buddy is unique to a particular Hero Power and doesn't appear in the general minion pool. Throughout the match, you can get copies of your Buddy to add to your Warband and help you win the fight."

Lord of the Rings Online:

[4:25 PM]Varda: Lord of the Rings Online:

[4:25 PM]Varda: Update 40.1 is out.

[4:25 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hmm, I have to turn off embeds when I copy my own version of the transcript

[4:26 PM]Varda: Two festivals are running right now through June 25th: Midsummer and Yuletide.

[4:26 PM]Sandalf13: Yuletide and Midsummer simulaneously? That does not sound right.

[4:26 PM]Varda: Fire and Ice? : )

[4:27 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: A song of ice and fire.

[4:27 PM]Varda: I made the mistake of starting Yuletide first, which grants the teal legendary

[4:27 PM]Varda: Midsummer grants the gold that I would rather have had, but takes 12 days, and time is no longer long enough.

[4:28 PM]Varda: Valar of Time! We need you for some backtracking!

[4:28 PM]Varda: He's not listening. sigh

[4:28 PM]Sandalf13: Do they ever?

[4:28 PM]Varda: Father Time is out having Father's Day celebrations.

[4:28 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Maybe he's heard you but will reply in the past!

[4:29 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'd check out past meetings if I were you.

[4:29 PM]Varda: Good thought!

[4:29 PM]Sandalf13: No doubt with his children, Month, Day, and Yer

[4:29 PM]Varda: LotRO players in our kin branches this past week:

Landroval branch

Crickhollow branch:

Treebeard branch:

[4:29 PM]Varda: Aye. With those three, the party will be crazy.

[4:29 PM]Varda: Any other gaming news?

[4:30 PM]Varda: Requests? Suggestions? Need stuff in the kin chest? Invites needed? Other things you need an officer for?

[4:30 PM]Varda: Meetings are partly to make officers available to everyone for whatever you need.

[4:30 PM]Varda: And thank you all for being here and for your help!

[4:33 PM]Varda: On to

[4:33 PM]Varda: o wait

[4:33 PM]Varda: Sandalf, you had a core comment?

Tolkien

[4:34 PM]Sandalf13: It can wait until we get through Tolkien...Chapter Three has been reviewed by an influential forum moderator at the Geological Society of America..fill you in later.

[4:34 PM]Varda: That sounds like Tolkien!

[4:34 PM]Varda: Great to hear!

[4:35 PM]Varda: On to more Tolkien : )

[4:35 PM]Varda: What made each of the Fellowship members "that guy?" to be one of the Companions? This can be something in their background or something they did while in the War of the Ring.

[4:36 PM]Arien Valar: hmm let s see . Legolas as a member of the woodelves felt his peop

[4:36 PM]Arien Valar: people failed in guarding Gollum and he wanted to make up for it

[4:37 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, several were either royalty of their respective species or heirs thereof.

[4:37 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Including 2 of the 4 hobbits.

[4:37 PM]Arien Valar: Aragorn . as heir of Elendil it was his right and dutiy to go

[4:37 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: So they had the status to go to the Council as representatives, and go on in the Fellowship from there.

[4:38 PM]Varda: Three of the hobbits. Only Sam was "common" folk.

[4:38 PM]Arien Valar: Gimli as Gloins son had a tie to the ring finder

[4:39 PM]Arien Valar: Boromir was a handy companion way as a strong warrior , he was going the same direction anyway

[4:40 PM]Arien Valar: Sam could not and wouild not be separated from Frodo same as Merry and Pippin

[4:41 PM]Arien Valar: Gandalf also had no other choice .. it was his task to oversee the possible destruction of the ring for the well being of middle earth , as he was sent to guard and help the races of middle earth

[4:42 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aragorn also went to help out down south, not just feeling a duty towards the Ring.

[4:42 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And overall, the racial diversity was a nice symbol of the free peoples' cooperation

[4:44 PM]Varda: So we had reps from each of the Free Peoples, people of high standing to show their people meant what they said, sending people who would make a hole in their "high places" if lost.

[4:45 PM]Varda: Each showed he was also worty of the hidden choice of the Valar, that brought them together at Elrond's at the same time without Elrond's calling.

[4:45 PM]Varda: Each did at least one great deed.

[4:46 PM]Varda:

[4:46 PM]Varda: Frodo carried the Ring for the group.

[4:46 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: It does seem a bit odd sometimes that they'd send royal heirs etc on a dangerous adventure where death can happen suddenly.

[4:46 PM]Varda: Sam aided Frodo to keep standing and climbing, to reach Mt. Doom.

[4:46 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: When they might have been better off in a position of leadership as happened later in the Quest.

[4:46 PM]Varda: Merry aided in killing the Witch King.

[4:47 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Pippin saved Faramir and killed a troll lord, I think?

[4:47 PM]Varda: Pippin killed a great cave troll and also saved Faramir to become the new Steward

[4:47 PM]Varda: Aye

[4:47 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And distracted Sauron by making him think he had the Ring

[4:47 PM]Varda: True! That was big.

[4:47 PM]Varda: Got Saruman in deep trouble.

[4:48 PM]Varda: Pippin and Merry got the Ents to march.

[4:48 PM]Arien Valar: thats why you ought to have a back up just in case ..

[4:48 PM]Varda: Pippin and Merry distracted the orcs and powers into thinking they had captured the Ringbearer.

[4:49 PM]Varda: Aye, Arien. : )

[4:49 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'm just now realizing that they turned Pippin's victory at the Black Gate into Aragorn's final combat encounter.

[4:49 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In the movie, that is.

[4:49 PM]Varda: heh

[4:49 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: "A hobbit facing a troll? Nah, let's give him to Aragorn." And yes, I'm aware it was meant to be Sauron at first and replaced by a troll later

[4:49 PM]Varda: Aye.

[4:50 PM]Varda: What about Gimli?

[4:51 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, he participated in some pretty big fights.

[4:51 PM]Arien Valar: I think in one version of the Lord of the rings films they turned the battle of Pellenor into the decisive victory and made it sound as if the warriors swords destroyed the dark Lord .. so that seems a minor crime

[4:51 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also helped sooth the relationship between dwarves and elves by his friendship with Legolas and affection towards Galadriel.

[4:51 PM]Varda: Gimli and Legolas patched up the terrible feud between the dwarves and elves.

[4:51 PM]Varda: Aye, Phar

[4:53 PM]Varda: So much so that Gimli was accepted into Valinor, with Galadriel's say so and Legolas' ship and company.

[4:53 PM]Sandalf13: Sorry! I got a call from a distant cousin in Boston, whose husband (my actual cousin) died about a year ago, and she would like me to come to the Memorial Service in Boston this July, Of course, I plan to be there...I apologize for my distraction. I was just about to type "that guy" had to be Gimli, because he showed up at the Council as only one fo two Dwarves there, and had to show the flag on behalf of the Dwarves...

[4:53 PM]Varda: So he didn't just go through Aule/Mahal, but in an elven ship.

[4:54 PM]Varda: Aye, Sandalf. May the service go well.

[4:54 PM]Varda: Gimli also became Lord of the Glittering Caves.

[4:54 PM]Arien Valar: Gimli also saved Aragorns life at the battle of the Hornburg i think .. when Aragorn went on the walls to challenge the orcs or taunted him he stumbled in his tired ness and missed a guy that attacked him out of the dark .. Gimli followed araragorn and caught this ambusher

[4:55 PM]Varda: Aye!

[4:55 PM]Sandalf13: Thank you. And Gimli (at the point of the Council) would NOT allow himself (or Dwarves in general) to be shown up by an ELf like Legolas.

[4:55 PM]Varda: We would have been short a high king.

[4:55 PM]Varda: What about Legolas?

[4:55 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aragorn must've had some cousins somewhere...

[4:56 PM]Sandalf13: And at the same moment, Legolas was poised to shoot his last arrow at any orc who attempted to attack Aragorn as he retreated into the Hornburg...

[4:56 PM]Sandalf13: Halbarad was a cousin....of Aragorn.

[4:56 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also took out a mumakil nods

[4:59 PM]Varda: Legolas in the books took down a fell beast of the air, "unhorsing" a Nazgul flying high over the orcs that attacked near Rauros Falls. Imagine if it had still been there when Frodo and Sam took off in the boat!

[4:59 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah, yes, true that.

[4:59 PM]Varda: It would have easily seen where they went.

[4:59 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya UIngwetari!

[4:59 PM]Ungwetari: Oh hey! How did I get here?

[4:59 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya spidey!

[5:00 PM]Varda: Aiya Shelob aka Ungoliant aka Spidey : )

[5:00 PM]Arien Valar: fell through a hole in the spiderweb maybe

[5:00 PM]Varda: Sam's sword went through some webs?

[5:01 PM]Sandalf13: So did Frodo's...Sting, it was...

@Varda
Aiya Shelob aka Ungoliant aka Spidey : )

[5:01 PM]Ungwetari: Hey! Don't get me confused with my mom. She dead. D E D. I still live.

[5:01 PM]Arien Valar: Ungetari Varda

[5:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, you were injured a bit, anyway.

[5:01 PM]Varda: Webs in the tunnel

[5:01 PM]Arien Valar: Ungwetari

[5:01 PM]Varda: argh, Ungwetari : )

[5:02 PM]Ungwetari: Soo.... Why are we talking about slashing my beautiful webs?

[5:02 PM]Varda: ./facepalm

[5:02 PM]Varda: You asked how you got here. We guessed you fell out of your webs.

[5:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Webz are needed.

[5:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: To misquote the game Caesar II.

[5:02 PM]Sandalf13: Perhaps Ungwetari was sleeping, and fell as a result?

[5:02 PM]Arien Valar: and it is one of Sam's heroic deeds nods

@Ar-Pharazon-V
Well, you were injured a bit, anyway.

[5:03 PM]Ungwetari: It was just a flesh wound! I was just a little shocked that's all. Nasty elven swords.

[5:03 PM]Arien Valar: apart from getting frodo outg of rthe orc tower and freeing him and making sure he got to the sammath naur in the end

[5:03 PM]Sandalf13: YouTube: Monty Python & The Holy Grail: "...It's just a flesh wound..."

[5:04 PM]Sandalf13: Some flesh wound...

[5:04 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And carrying the Ring for a while but still able to turn it back over to Frodo. Not an easy feat.

[5:04 PM]Arien Valar: now .. where have i heard that before scratch?

@Sandalf13
flesh wound

[5:05 PM]Ungwetari: I can spare a few more limbs though.

[5:05 PM]Varda: It's the hour and I need to go. But please feel free to chat and have fun, raising a mug of ale together!

[5:05 PM]Varda: gavel peeks up over Phar's mug and runs to the hammerpad

[5:06 PM]Arien Valar: thank you , oh lady of the stars, enjoy your day

5:06 PM]Varda: thwompsss

After-Meeting

[5:06 PM]Varda: After-meeting!

[5:06 PM]Sandalf13: Enjoy Father's Day!

[5:06 PM]Varda: Party time. : )

[5:06 PM]Varda: Going to go join the gang downstairs. Brownies nearly all gone, hehe.

@Ar-Pharazon-V
And carrying the Ring for a while but still able to turn it back over to Frodo. Not an easy feat.

[5:06 PM]Ungwetari: True, but Sam hadn't been under the influence of the ring long. I thought it was Gandalf who noted at some point that the longer was in possession of the ring, the more its bearer fell under its sway

[5:06 PM]Varda: True. Time makes it tougher.

[5:06 PM]Ungwetari: Oh my! Snatch some brownies while you can!

[5:07 PM]Varda: Any time at all makes it tough.

[5:07 PM]Varda: Sam still felt the tug.

[5:07 PM]Varda: Namarie for now!

[5:07 PM]Varda: I'll leave Discord up. : )

[5:07 PM]Sandalf13: My geologic note: Chapter Three has been reviewed by Dr. Robert Stern, in Dallas, TX, who is in charge of one portion of the Geological Society of America daily "Forum." He has requested a copy of the map of Middle-earth that prepared and it will be posted on the GSA Forum page.

[5:07 PM]Sandalf13: Namarie, Varda!

[5:07 PM]Varda: /wave

[5:07 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!

[5:07 PM]Varda: Great, Sandalf!

[5:08 PM]Sandalf13:

[5:11 PM]Sandalf13: That is supposed to be waving hands...but I can't get them to wave/

[5:12 PM]Sandalf13:

[5:12 PM]Sandalf13: \

[5:12 PM]Sandalf13: There we go...

[5:14 PM]Arien Valar: Wow rthat is cool

[5:14 PM]Arien Valar: Wel done

[5:14 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie!

[5:14 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!

[5:14 PM]Sandalf13: Namarie, Arien! Have a good week!

[5:15 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And yes, very nice

[5:15 PM]Sandalf13:

[5:16 PM]Sandalf13: As close as I could get to Sandalf...and Sandalf is NOT blue!

[5:16 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Maybe it's gold and white rather than blue and black!

[5:16 PM]Sandalf13: I will check in later, Ar, to read your report, as usual...enjoy dinner, or whatever you do while are you gaming...

[5:17 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Thanks

[5:19 PM]Arien Valar: ah well thought it was too good to be true i was mining in Scholazar Basin with my hordie hunter to play a bit catch up before going into cata but then this other farmer with his epic mount turned up ^_^

[5:19 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Ouch, hopefully he won't stay long!

[5:19 PM]Arien Valar: bed time anyway Phari

[5:20 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie

[5:20 PM]Arien Valar: was still a bit excited about that maybe powerwofg gig lol but calmed down now hopefully enough

[5:20 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'll do a bit more of panda remixing.

[5:20 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: hehe, hope you can sleep!

[5:20 PM]Arien Valar: Namarie hve fun

[6:38 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Personal gaming report!

[7:08 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: For (non)flashgaming, a short platform game with beautiful graphics and nice music, "A Knot's Story"

[7:09 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: A demo of a larger game that I'm not quite sure ever got completed, about a kitten who gets knots in his tail through various adventures. Or so I'm guessing, the demo only covers the first knot

[7:11 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Wake up from a dream, talk to family members and optionally perform some quests for them, then enter the street and make it all the way to the top of the buildings, where a short bossfight happens.

[7:11 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Ar, har har har...

[7:11 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: But if you want more out of it, there's various medals to get by completing optional objectives and finding secrets and stuff like that

[7:12 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya!

[7:12 PM]Sandalf13:

[7:19 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Blizzard gaming:

[7:23 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Diablo 4: Logged in a few times to get the free anniversary items, which are now all available in the shop. Some weapon appearances, and mount cosmetics. Get them before the 20th!

[7:26 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: With expansion announced, I do want to preorder but I'm not sure yet if there'll be a physical collector's edition. Getting the ultimate edition (digital) for the pets and mounts looks nice, though.

[7:28 PM]Varda: (restarting comp. Carry on!)

[7:29 PM]Varda: (I'm bad about getting ultimates for LotRO, heeh)

[7:30 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I started my seasonal character (finally!) by making a rogue for the new iron wolves season, based on a WoW wolf/worgen of mine. Behold both characters World of Warcraft: Calvorgius - Character - (Argent Dawn) ❮The High Guard❯ - 10 Worgen Outlaw Rogue, 14 ilvl

[7:31 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got the first quest completed, will go back to him after finishing a zone in Pandaria for my timerunner. I do like alternating!

[7:32 PM]Sandalf13: Aiya Varda!

[7:34 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hearthstone: Level 129 on the reward track now. Getting more gold on the way, and spent a thousand of it on a class skin, Rokara of the Horde for warrior.

[7:34 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I think she's one of the original Hearthstone mercenaries, but not sure.

[7:35 PM]Varda: Aiya. : )

[7:35 PM]Varda: Looks cool, Phar

[7:35 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Brawl is Shiftcon West, full of shapeshifting minions that turn into a random minion every turn they're in your hand, and shifting spells that turn into a random spell every turn in your hand.

[7:36 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Lots of randomness indeed... you can get any minion, but still hope you get a good one on a turn that you can spend the mana for it

[7:36 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: some tactics are still possible though, like trying to get spells in your starting hand for mage or minions for priest. And you can try to combo a few cards when the time is right. But yeah, good luck

[7:38 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Warcraft Rumble: Got my collection level to 35! It helped that our little guild got 10000 war chest points, unlocking the new Cenarius-themed spell Earth and Moon, getting some level points from that.

[7:39 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In the dungeon, got Drakkisath the blackrock leader through level 18.

[7:39 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In the new undead week, I've been trying for level 20 with Baron Rivendare as leader, but no luck yet. Got pretty close tonight though.

[7:39 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: But 20's tough

[7:40 PM]Sandalf13: Good luck with that.

[7:41 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: In the heroic sigil campaign, more progress in Duskwood. Completed Blind Mary on all families, and got Abercrombie (and his pet abomination Stitches, which WoW players probably remember) down with 4 families. Tomorrow I'll tackle him with the fifth, which will bring me to 90 sigils, enough to unlock raids and sieges!

[7:42 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: (oh, for Diablo 4, also unlocked the first pet on my seasonal Calvorgius, a dog... seems to fit him )

[7:44 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Got a bunch more quality upgrades for my Rumble minis, getting Stonehoof Tauren to uncommon, Earth and Moon unlocked and up to uncommon, the raptors to uncommon as well. For the raptors I also got the right talent, though the other 2 minis are still lacking theirs. But it's still progress!

[7:45 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I mean, I'm not currently using those minis in any of my decks, but I might in the future

[7:46 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: WoW:

[7:46 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: More raiding, completing heroic Aberrus in one night. Next week will be Amirdrassil again, and we're planning on tackling the boss I'm missing for the heroic achievement on thursday. Hopefully it'll go well!

[7:47 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'm almost in full heroic gear as well, just necklace and weapon remaining. In a week or two I should have the bullions to buy both from a vendor, if necessary.

[7:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Weekly is battlegrounds, where I had some decent luck with the random 8v8 battles. Got to honor level 129 as well.

[7:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Also finished the trading post currency collection for June!

[7:49 PM]Sandalf13: Congratulations

[7:50 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: 1000 earned, 1000 spent... besides the X-treme Water Blaster Display toy as a reward for completing the tender-collecting for this month, I also bought a new pet, Marrlok, two toys: the Colorful Beach Chair and the Delicate Crimson Parasol, and the Classic Carrot Tabard.

[7:51 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I do like getting all the pets and toys, and have gotten used to buying all the new tabards as well, luckily those are cheap. All the beachwear transmog though... eh, I'm not really interested.

[7:51 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And for the rest, more alting!

[7:52 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: On my horde main Calkin, I got a bit of time spent in Vol'dun, doing some quests at the Vulpera camp, and getting to level 40.

[7:54 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: That's enough to unlock horde allied races, which was my current goal for him: he's now started the Vulpera unlocking questline so I can make one for the Pandaria remix. The small Orgrimmar portion is done, next up will be helping some vulpera npcs prove their worth to the Horde by performing tasks in 3 locations across the world.

[7:55 PM]Sandalf13: Sounds involved...but I sure that you appreciate the intricacies of what you are doing. I myself am lost.

[7:56 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: On my other remix character, Calvirona, I've started questing in the Valley of the Four Winds She's gotten most of the quests completed, helping Chen Stormstout and his niece Li Li explore the zone and aiding some farmers with their problems, usually involving the local wildlife.

[7:57 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: She's also helped out a Jinyu monk and helped clear out the Stormstout Brewery from enemies, as well as managing to show up on time for a Galleon kill.

[7:57 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And now she's in Stoneplow in the far west of the zone, about to fight the Mantid for the first time!

[7:57 PM]Sandalf13: Busy lady\

[7:58 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yep!

[7:58 PM]Sandalf13: I wish I could be as productive, but then again, I do not have you operating me.

[8:00 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Gotten a bunch of levels from it too, all the way from 38 to 56, acquiring some useful talents, new gear, and a lot of threads for her cloak of infinite potential. At 50 or higher, the threads become even more powerful, and with two Stormstout Brewery clears under her belt - forgot to deliver the quests after the first one, and realized to my horror that they can only be delivered at the end of the dungeon, so had to do it again - so that was quite an increase in power.

[8:00 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And enough for the 2200 threads achievement! Next one is 4200, I wonder how long that'll take

[8:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Next week I should be able to finish the Valley and get started on Krasarang Wilds, and probably a bit more in Diablo 4 as well!

[8:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: And that's my report for the week

[8:02 PM]Sandalf13: Wow. Lots of successes! Good on you, and enjoy the week ahead.

[8:02 PM]Varda: Thank you, Phar : )

[8:03 PM]Sandalf13:

[8:03 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Thank you, will do

[8:03 PM]Sandalf13: Namarie und sei gesund!

[8:03 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!

[8:07 PM]Varda: Fangorn and I are killing rats. : )

[8:08 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Someone's gotta do it!

[8:08 PM]Sandalf13: Rats? In your house, or in your yard?

[8:08 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Could be in-game?

[8:08 PM]Sandalf13: Or just on principle?

[8:09 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The Noob Comic - Kibby - 23 - Visit the post for more.

[9:59 PM]Varda: Sandalf, rats in-game. : )

[10:02 PM]Varda: Phar, what have you done! New webcomic...

@Varda
Good luck! Airlines tend to want to make you happy.

[10:12 PM]Eönwë Valar: Tip: Never book the Basic Economy unless you are 17400000000% sure you're not going to have to change it. Everyone likes it until it comes time to admit you should've booked a changeable ticket so you didn't lose 500 bucks. Unless the price for the changeable ticket is just that much more expensive (which they're usually not), you're better off paying a little more for the peace of mind.

[10:12 PM]Eönwë Valar: And heya.

June 17, 2024

[11:16 AM]Varda: Good point.

[9:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: I've broken 7 million hp in MoP Remix btw.

[9:23 PM]Eönwë Valar: For those interested:

June 18, 2024

[1:21 AM]Eönwë Valar: Got into a Mythic Siege of Orgrimmar Run. My little Lightforged Draenei lady is now a Paragon of the Mists, heh.

[1:22 AM]Eönwë Valar: And Garrosh's Annihilate on Mythic can do at least 5.5 million damage. Took my Shield of Vengeance out with 1 swing, and that's what it absorbs. Of course that means I did that much damage right back to him, heh.

[1:23 AM]Eönwë Valar: World of Warcraft - Aurast - Achievements (remix-pandaria) - Aurast (Lothar) ❮Valar Guild❯ - 70 Lightforged Draenei Retribution Paladin, 476 ilvl

[1:27 AM]Eönwë Valar: Got all the mounts, and only one more toy to buy.

[4:58 AM]Eönwë Valar: OK, got All the Garrosh heirlooms, the tusks, and all the mythic gear transmogs. I think the only thing I'm going to miss are most of the various weapon transmogs scattered all over because I dont expect I'll roll the characters that will get the daggers and stuff.

[9:18 AM]Varda: Lots of progress!

[2:16 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Congrats

[3:38 PM]Eönwë Valar: Thanks :}

[3:42 PM]Eönwë Valar: Oh, one quick thought about Mythic Garrosh: nice change of backdrop for when he goes all Agent Smith --- YouTube: This is My World, MY WORLD!

[3:46 PM]Eönwë Valar: I guess the final gauge of my power I'm going to get (unless they fix the Galakras fight to be soloable) is that if I can put Heroic Throne of Thunder on farm and beat the first four bosses of Mythic Siege of Orgrimmar easily, I'll estimate I could solo heroic Siege completely.

[3:51 PM]Eönwë Valar: Considering ToT defaults to 10-man, SoO flexes down to 10, and Mythic SoO is set to require 20, that ought to be a fair assessment.

[3:57 PM]Eönwë Valar: Only drawback is I risk a lockout if I'm wrong, but at least it's just for a day and not a week.

[3:57 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hmm, worth the try

[3:58 PM]Eönwë Valar: Worth it to me at least. Part of my fun is in seeing what dangerous stuff I can solo, heh.

[3:59 PM]Eönwë Valar: I've had to hope for some new gear drops because I capped speed, and capping leech is coming soon, so I need to replace those with something that'll keep climbing.

[4:00 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Hmm, what's the leech cap?

[4:00 PM]Eönwë Valar: Or I should say over-capping.

[4:00 PM]Eönwë Valar: 49%

[4:00 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Meh, was hoping for at least 200

[4:00 PM]Eönwë Valar: Leech and Speed seem to cap at 49%, so I assume Avoidance does too.

[4:01 PM]Eönwë Valar: Haste/Mastery/Crit are still climbing for me though, at 135%/118%/102%, respectively.

[4:01 PM]Eönwë Valar: Oh, and Versatility at 123%

[4:01 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Not sure crit does anything over 100%. I have had over 100% versatility before, though, at lower levels.

[4:02 PM]Eönwë Valar: Some classes it affects damage.

[4:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: No, mastery, I think.

[4:02 PM]Eönwë Valar: Boosts their damage when they crit I think, like ... Fire Mages I think it was?

[4:03 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Aha.

[4:03 PM]Eönwë Valar: But some classes crit translates to a damage boost so over 100% would help them. For me it means I'll have to rebalance my stats yet again when I overcap, heh. Don't recall any talents that boost Paladin damage by their crit.

[4:04 PM]Eönwë Valar: And considering that's the one class I'd be sure to remember, I'd take that as a "it doesn't happen" :}

[4:25 PM]Eönwë Valar: Bah, keep forgetting I have an item to teleport to Timeless Isle.

[4:26 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: It's a nice flight

[4:27 PM]Eönwë Valar: True. It's enjoayable scenery.

[4:28 PM]Eönwë Valar: Don't see much landscape I care to fly over in more recent expansions. (edited)

[4:29 PM]Eönwë Valar: This is just my opinion, but I think Shadowlands was worse than Warlords of Draenor.

[4:30 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'm sure plenty will disagree, but I didn't feel that expansion at all.

[4:31 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Eh, I enjoyed the otherworldly mythological lore. And I was in love with Ardenweald since the original Blizzcon announcement.

[4:31 PM]Eönwë Valar: Warlords I at least could appreciate the vibe, and it had some good/fun things.

[4:31 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: But I can understand why people don't like it.

[4:32 PM]Eönwë Valar: The cosmological lore could've been intriguing, but it just didn't feel engaging.

[4:34 PM]Eönwë Valar: The expansion before it was more engaging, and I'm struggling to remember its name, lol. (edited)

[4:34 PM]Eönwë Valar: Was that Battle for Azeroth?

[4:34 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Yes

[4:34 PM]Eönwë Valar: Lol.

[4:34 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I was actually thinking about the commercials for that a few days ago, with the horde vs alliance thing played up in social situations.

[4:35 PM]Eönwë Valar: Didn't have much I liked about Battle for Azeroth, but it was enough to make it better to me than Shadowlands apparently, heh.

[4:35 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: As someone who's recently started doing BfA from the horde side for the first time, I'm kinda liking it.

[4:35 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Even if the necklace is no longer really a thing.

[4:36 PM]Eönwë Valar: Well, I take that back, I suppose the biggest problem I had with BFA was how long it took to feel like you'd got to the endgame.

[4:38 PM]Eönwë Valar: The story in some places was interesting, in other places it dragged, so it didn't help keep it from feeling more like a burden, but once I got through that, there were several game features I found enjoyable enough. The mission map wasn't really one of them. That was more or less perfected with Legion and probably should've been left there. @Ar-Pharazon-V I was actually thinking about the commercials for that a few days ago, with the horde vs alliance thing played up in social situations.

[4:41 PM]Eönwë Valar: Yeah, I feel like they've constantly wasted the potential of the faction war.

[4:41 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'm not sure if there was much more they could've done without favoring one faction over another. People were already complaining about who won the warfronts

[4:43 PM]Eönwë Valar: The problem is if you're going to do something like that, you have to go all in, and you have to show the victories and defeats of each faction with equal fervor, and then not cop out with a "it's all his fault. Now let's be friends again."

[4:44 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, it was all part of Sylvanas' overall planned story. So what you're saying is that it was the wrong time for it, then?

[4:44 PM]Eönwë Valar: And the complaints I recall hearing from the Alliance centered around defeats "happening" with no clear evidence it was a loss, victories not being shown, and some content for Alliance just being cut because they ran out of time.

[4:44 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Heh, funny, I do believe Alliance won both warfronts canonically.

[4:44 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'm digging back to Cataclysm, pardon.

[4:44 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Ahh.

[4:46 PM]Eönwë Valar: Plus, they didn't have a consistent message with Garrosh's arc in the story/quest teams back then (they've said so), and it screwed with presentation too.

[4:46 PM]Eönwë Valar: After that, meh, Sylvanas whatever.

[4:47 PM]Eönwë Valar: I did BfA on Horde (after my Alliance main of course), but I wasn't feeling the faction war at all by that point.

[4:48 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, the PvE stuff is nice on Calkin so far I haven't touched the war campaign yet.

[4:50 PM]Eönwë Valar: I get what they were going for with Sylvanas' arc into Shadowlands, but I'm far enough separated from BfA in both time and caring about the faction war story that I probably don't recall the details enough to gripe too much about it.

[4:52 PM]Eönwë Valar: Just that I don't think either time they tried a faction war, it felt satisfactory, and I'd rather them not try again. Just let us play cross-faction and move on, heh.

[4:52 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: That's pretty much where we are now anyway

[4:52 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, cross-faction guilds and instances at least...

[4:52 PM]Eönwë Valar: Aye.

[4:52 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: I'm sure the rest will come.

[4:54 PM]Eönwë Valar: I do want WotLK remix with modern raid functionality though, heh. locked to per boss/per diff rather than one entire raid lockout. 4:56 PM]Eönwë Valar: The temp game modes for WoW has been an interesting experiment.

[4:56 PM]Eönwë Valar: I didn't really get into the pirate one because it was PvP, but Remix has been fun.

[4:57 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There, level 60 10 to go!

[4:57 PM]Eönwë Valar: Congrats :}

[7:04 PM]Eönwë Valar: Ok, I just barely skated by third boss in Terrace of Endless Spring (Heroic), and the Sha of Fear is still too much for me.

[7:22 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Guess you gotta keep going

[7:31 PM]Eönwë Valar: Hehe, yep.

[7:31 PM]Eönwë Valar: If I can't beat the third boss easily, I doubt I'd take the Amber-shaper fast enough.

[7:33 PM]Eönwë Valar: Maybe I'll use tomorrow's Heart of Fear lockout to try. Today I just got a 6/7 man heroic group through it, heh.

[7:34 PM]Eönwë Valar: If I can beat Amber-shaper, I can solo the whole raid, heh, but it takes soloing nearly the whole raid to find out.

[7:40 PM]Eönwë Valar: I only have normal raid, LFR, and dungeon trasmogs to collect left. I wish there were an easier way to track the weapon transmogs or I might be convinced to try those when I'm done.

[7:41 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: There might be an addon for that.

[7:42 PM]Eönwë Valar: Probably, but I don't use addons.

[7:45 PM]Eönwë Valar: I've wanted to get more into LUA, could probably get the item ids and throw a macro together myself.

[7:45 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Sure.

[7:46 PM]Eönwë Valar: Probably of course is the long list won't fit in a simple macro, heh.

[7:46 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: Make more macros

[7:47 PM]Eönwë Valar: lol

[7:48 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'm sure there's a way to read from a file and put them all there, but I've only barely dabbled in LUA, let alone in WoW's scripting.

[7:49 PM]Eönwë Valar: We'll see where I end up when the War Within Pre-patch rolls around.

[7:49 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: That works.

[7:50 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'm sure I'll do whatever event that entails at least once to get whatever stuff I want from it, but if it's not exciting, I'll hang out in Remix until it's (Remix) over. (edited)

[7:51 PM]Eönwë Valar: That reminds me I still need to get my Eredar Draenei and whatever those lead-in quests with Alleria involve.

[7:52 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: The harbinger stuff, yep.

[11:48 PM]Eönwë Valar: I'll just leave this here on your doorstep.... YouTube: Nintendo of America - Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game - Announcement Tra...

[11:49 PM]Eönwë Valar: YouTube: Nintendo of America - Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings™ Game - Nintendo Direct...

[11:59 PM]Eönwë Valar: Wish I could say Metroid Prime 4 is the most exciting announcement to me, but I have a rough time with FPS games so the Metroid Zero Mission added to the Nintendo Online is the best. Now they just need to add Metroid: Samus Returns, and they've got the entire Side-scroller Metroid series available on the Switch.

June 19, 2024

[12:02 PM]Ar-Pharazon-V: "And even share a meal! ...Or three." ...Or seven?

[2:23 PM]Sandalf13: Wny not eight? I am getting hungry...

[8:43 PM]Eönwë Valar: Well, I can beat Elegon in Heroic Mogu'shan Vaults before the first time the floor disappears, so maybe I can solo Heart of Fear Heroic. Guess we'll find out, heh.

[9:19 PM]Eönwë Valar: Bah, there's supposed to be time between when Amber-haper summosn the monstrosity and when he turns you into one. There was no time on that.

[9:29 PM]Eönwë Valar: Well, that was an interesting defeat of the Amber-shaper.

[9:30 PM]Eönwë Valar: I guess I managed to eat some amber as a construct just in time to save me, and then somehow I managed to stick around and do enough damage to win, heh.

[9:34 PM]Eönwë Valar: Bah, Empress mind controlled me twice at about 50%, resetting the fight. Might not quite be able to solo Heart of Fear Heroic.

[9:46 PM]Eönwë Valar: Ok yeah. Heart of Fear Heroic is just out of reach for soloing.d

June 22, 2024

[2:42 AM]Eönwë Valar: So it seems if you get transformed to a monstrous construct by the Amber-shaper, if you can consume amber before you die, you might be able to make it. I just kept spamming 1 and 3 once I overcame the auto-die mechanic, with a quick 2 (wrestle for control) when it was up that one time, and I was fine to make it to the end of the fight as an amber monster.

[2:43 AM]Eönwë Valar: So I guess I'd put Heart of Fear Heroic at a 4.5/6 Bosses on Farm, with Amber-shaper as the .5 taking a bit of luck being virtually all-or-nothing.

[2:46 AM]Eönwë Valar: Still don't have the DPS to beat the Empress before her mind-control kicks in.

[2:50 AM]Eönwë Valar: Hmm, looks like i've hit haste cap.

[2:53 AM]Eönwë Valar: And mastery

[2:54 AM]Eönwë Valar: And versatility, darn.,

[2:55 AM]Eönwë Valar: So 135%/138%/133% seem to be the caps for haste/mastery/versatility repsctively.

[2:56 AM]Eönwë Valar: Was hoping for something crazy like a .5 second cooldown on Crusader Strike, but oh well :}

[2:56 AM]Eönwë Valar: 1.7 seconds is still pretty fast :}

[7:07 PM]Eönwë Valar: YouTube: Beren and Lúthien

[10:40 PM]Eönwë Valar: Here's another one for you Phar: YouTube: DUNE SONG - Soul Of Sand by Miracle Of Sound ft. Sharm & Sheyma Rochdi

Thus ends this week's meeting. Come back and see us next week!
