Report: Mid way through the spring festival, I thought it would
get finished before its closing, but I don't think I am going to
make it now, but will try Picked up some interesting
furniture and garden pieces for my house in the shire. I hope to
pick up some more pieces before the festivals end. Only one more
instance away from picking up the honey goat too, which im very
pleased with. By tomorrow i will finally, have a 62% speed goat
for the moria when i make it there. On my first run on laurelin, i
only ever had the basic 32%, which is so slow.

so it's quite possible in the future. They seem to be testing

the many hoops to help us start on the process of having the
valarguild.org domain name again. : )
We hope that the process may be completed sometime next week.

The Spring Festival is still going. I'm in the Hedge Maze at the
moment, although it's being sorely neglected during the meeting.

The new area of Carn Dum is operating
It's unusual because it has a hub that is fairly small that you
leave for quests by doing instances from the Instance Finder.

Also, the Delving missions have only 4 crystals instead of 10
eating our inventory space
but you have to go get the new ones.

They also dropped the number of places to pick up Delving
missions, I've heard, but not yet checked.

One of my favorite towerdefense/upgrade games on the site, it was
remastered outside flash when flash ended.

Stop waves of enemies from taking away your gems, by placing
towers along the way. There's 3 terrain types to place towers,
each with their own tower to be placed there. Each of the 3 types
has its own evolutions per individual tower/level, but there's
also skill trees for each type that you can unlock overall, for
every level, by completing or repeating levels for experience.

So you might put your points in one type only to find out that the
next level doesn't have much use for them.. but luckily you can
reset and reapply the skillpoints at any time between levels

Diablo 4: I participated in the open beta! I usually don't bother
with betas, but the wolf pup backpack was just too good to pass on
in my opinion.

As I haven't pre-ordered the game yet, the only chance I had of
getting it was this weekend, and with the requirement being to
level a character to level 20, I had to spend quite a few hours
over the past few days

I went for the rogue with ranged spec, called Calbiona - Caliona
being my standard name for female ranged characters, with the b
added for beta

I quite like the story, exploration and renown unlocks, so if I
was in any doubt whether to buy the actual game, it's pretty much
settled now. As for gameplay and combat, it's very much a Diablo
game, and while I used a leveling build I found online to smoothe
my way to level 20, actually exploring the skill trees for the
main game will be interesting. Especially since I'll be maining a
druid at that time.

One thing I noticed most of all was the healing system. While
health regen as in Diablo 3 seems to be out, the actual healing
potion system appears to be a combination of the old potion system
and the Diablo 3 health globes.

You have a certain amount of charges for health potions, and when
mobs drop health globe things on death (or at certain health
points for bosses) you can use those to recharge them.

So rather than just healing with globes or saving your potions for
when you need them, it becomes a weird system of healing up after
fights manually by using potions only when recharges are lying on
the ground, or when needed during tough fights and hope you don't
run out of charges.

But you can upgrade your health potions in town at certain levels
for materials, to get more max charges and larger heals from each
charge, so that's a nice thing to unlock.

But I'm sure that's just a matter of getting used to.

Oh, and I did manage to unlock the wolf pup, which has been added
to my bnet account and will be available when I get the main game

Level 140 now on the reward track. I didn't manage to complete all
of my quests because Diablo 4 took priority, but did get a few
levels, and managed to complete the event quests just in time for
my Flower Child Lunara skin.

Brawl is Party Portals: The Karazhan-expansion-themed brawl where
you get a deck of portals summoning random units, as well as a few
partygoers that summon a random partygoer from a small pool with a
special effect.

Luck required, but I enjoy it, and won most of my games

We went for a new clear on heroic raiding, getting everything
except the last 2 bosses again. I got some good upgrades there,
including the best heroic weapon for me, and my lowest item, the
belt, got replaced through the Vault. So now I'm quite up to date
with my gear from raiding.

I'd spent quite some time before then leveling my leatherworking
some more, including specializing in belts so I could craft my
own... only to find out it wasn't necessary. Still, leveled it up
nicely, so that'll save time in the future. Found some good places
to skin as well.

In our old school raiding, I got all the appearances I wanted for
my Evoker/mail-user, so next week I'm sending in the mage

With the leatherworking becoming redundant at the start of the new
reset because of the vault-loot, I had intended to hit up the mage
in Maldraxxus, but it was recommended to me that I start the first
few levels of the new patch content in the Forbidden Reach
instead, to get the new ring with primordial gem slots.
So I did!

Got the ring, unlocked the new Zskera vault feature, and spent my
week farming rares around the Reach to get keys for all the rooms
in that place.

And sure enough, not only did I get the ring, the correct 3 gems I
wanted, and enough gems to turn into fragments to level them all
up to the maximum of 424 ilevel, I also ended up with a bunch of
pets, toys and even a mount from the vault and the rares.

Mount is the Ancient Salamanther, apparently a rare drop from any
of the rares; pets are Shaggy, Patos, Emmah and Kobaldt.

Oh, and finally I also participated in the Trial of Style, getting
the trading post related Trader's Bicorne, as well as a druidy
belt called the Clasp of Ursine Rage.

Having completed the trading post currency for this month, I also
collected the Darkmoon Harlequin transmog set.
And next week I finally aim to return to the mage in Maldraxxus,
now that all the gearing stuff is over I can start to catch up
again

Oh, almost forgot, weekly is mythic dungeons... while I had some
fun trying out my tanky upgrades in there, the reward loot was
unfortunately not an upgrade.

That is good to know. I listen to NPR (National Public
Radio) quite a bit. They do make an effort to present different
sides of the same story, although the New York Times (my
favorite) does as well. I avoid the Fox News type stations (both
right and left) that tend to always see the worst in the other
side.

So rather than just healing with globes or saving your
potions for when you need them, it becomes a weird system of
healing up after fights manually by using potions only when
recharges are lying on the ground, or when needed during tough
fights and hope you don't run out of charges.

well SF... is interesting in one respect. it lets you level
faster.. but the problem is, you cant move the characters off it
to other servers.

What has happened on other specialty servers is when they are shut
down, they tend to allow transfer to other servers free.

Landroval is our real player.
It would most likely be true for both, as for all the other
specialty servers.

tried for a bit, then massively pleased us.

Anyway, for speeding up mounts across the account, you can go to
the LotRO store and jump it up to 78% on all mounts.
and get a rose to slow down to normal speeds when riding with
other folks.
The rose comes with it.

Apparently not.. It still categorizes Laurelin as an EU server.
Likely down to some unique coding. No Harm. It was a nice idea.
