grandfather would often serve my father and my uncles (and my
older boy cousins...I am the youngest of the male cousins on my
Mom's side) a glass of Slivovitz, or plum brandy from what was
then Chechoslovakia. I finally felt like a grown up when, at the
age of 15, I received my first glass of Slivovitz. I felt the
warmth and invigoration from the tip of my toes to the top of my

Weekly quests carried over, so managed to complete them rather
easily this week for xp. Made it to level 149 on the reward
track.

Brawl is Battle of Tol Barad: Make a deck, play a minion, get a
free spell of the minion's mana cost.

Took a shot at designing a deck for it myself, by using a mage
deck of minions that either have spellpower or have some effect
on spells cast, to strengthen the effect. It worked quite well!

Making progress on the last heroic boss, as we got her to phase
3 for the first time this week, wiping at 9% health. We're
getting phase 1 and the first intermission down quite handily
now, and getting phase 2 and the second intermission slowly
under control. Won't be long now!

Completed the first Zskera vault by getting enough keys to open
up the doors, also finding all the chains for the chained up
chests and completing other puzzles, though a few carry over to
other vaults, including an egg that's supposed to give a mount
later on.

This reset, though, I've not bothered with it, as the ring's
done and I can get the mount and stuff when I come back later

Weekly quest is the first of many timewalk quests in a row,
nothing special, and no good rewards for me. But still fun to do
the old dungeons, especially since with everyone having set
bonuses and their primordial gems, things apparently die really
really fast even in timewalks
Made it to honor level 107 through the weekly pvp brawl, always
nice

Oh, and I got a new toy from the Zskera vault, Holoviewer: The
Scarlet Queen, creating a hologram of Alexstrasza.

Trading post is renewed for the month of April. So many choices!
Of course I wanted the Magenta Cloud Serpent mount, but I also
was interested in the wolf/bear/something face fist weapon, for
which I had just enough currency remaining.
Won't have enough for the new pet this month, so I've frozen it,
and we'll see if/when a month comes along where I don't want so
much stuff so I can buy it then.

And finally a bit of questing, had some stuff come up as I was
doing so but I was able to send the mage to Maldraxxus. There I
did the arena fights and escaped with Draka, before doing some
quests and making our way to the House of the Chosen, where we
are now. Next week, more progress there!

They are indeed. This moving in thing is taking a toll. I am
still spending a lot of time going through all of my over 100
boxes in the garage...very time consuming. I need to just throw
out a lot of stuff, but every picture that one of my kids' drew
that I have kept brings back a memory. I am afraid that if I
throw away the "key," (the picture, or story, or whatever) I may
lose access to that memory. Hard to do, but necessary!

72 degress F here in Thornton today, but we expect snow for two
days, Tuesday and Wed. The temp goes up and down significantly
here in the Spring...hard to predict the weather.

Slight Gaming update: Reached the https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/North_Downs
the north-downs. Finally out of the Yondershire. A great opening
experience but i must remark, by the end a bit repetitive and
underwhelming.. Example: You finish a big line of quests, great
story... then all of a sudden you are collecting apples lol now
this might be down to my order of questing but still

Is it me.. or are there are only certain NPC's that actually
defend bases / Villages in LOTRO. I believe there are some in
Rohan i think. Who here has not been mauled to death by Orcs
inside a village, as the guards stand at the gates watching on
with big smiles on their faces.

If i remember correctly from my WOW days.. the NPC guards always
defended you are you dived into the village / town borders.. But
in LOTRO... apparently its ok for Orcs and Wargs to come
rampaging into the town.. Possibly a silent agreement after
these long 15+ years. lol
