I hope the start of the first episode is not the trend for the
entire season.

Artistic liberty can only get you so far when the source material
is pretty clear. Peter Jackson at least kept most of his changes
to whether or not include certain sections in the movies, not to
change the entire culture of a very central place in the overall
story.

Halfway through episode 1 and I've seen enough to know I do not
need nor want to see more.

I'm not sure how likely I am to bother giving the WoT series a try
(probably sub-10% chance). I read the books and that was really
enough for me. There's alot fascinating about the world, and
plenty of other stuff that annoyed me so that if I weren't already
somewhere around 8 or 9 books in when I decided it was too
annoying, I wouldn't have bothered finishing. On top of that, the
ending was rather disappointing as well, but your mileage may
vary. I'm not going to hold that too strongly against the books
given Jordan's death before it was finished, and I'm convinced
Jordan would've stretched those 3 books into 9 had he lived to do
so.

Yeah, definitely not an easy read on the entire series, but at
least it had character, a lot of differences in culture between
regions and a sloooow but clear storyline. All that got destroyed
within 30 minutes imho.

After the way Andre Norton's "Beastmaster" got destroyed in a TV
series, most of the other horrors out there look less bad, because
my expectations are so battered, er, low.

I am still in the midst! Arrived in Denver Friday, stayed
overnight in Denver, climbed the hill yesterday afternoon, and
checked in at Swan Mtn at 1630. Went for a drive to Breckenridge
today, then Silverthorne and Dillon. I am back in my time-share
Condo...a glorious day...sun shining, warm...dinner is in the
crockpot...I made stuffed cabbage for mu friend and I. We will
pick up our skis and lift tickets after our visit with you. Start
skiing tomorrow! No good to ski on a Sat or a Sun if one can avoid
it...too crowded!

as they told me in the Navy. I did get my run in up here today
also. Elevation: 9,000 feet. A little change from Lincoln, at
1,200 feet!

I know that Ben Nevis is the tallest mountain in Scotland....5,000
feet +/-? If I am lucky enough to ever get back to Scotland, I

one place to another...Nebraska is 2/3 the size of ALL of
Germany...

have one county bigger than all of Connecticut: Cherry
County, with a population of about 3,000 people.

I can even go do that RIGHT NOW if Arien will forgive me for
leaving early. Keystone is 2 miles up the road, and all the skiers
are heading home to Denver or wherever now...so parking is easy.
All I need to do is go to the ski rental place and get fitted.
Shouldn't take much more than 1/2 hour to 45 min.

the most recent and gives you a list of friends to click for their
individual conversations.

Ar! What a PLEASANT, PLEASANT Suprise! Have you read all of our
previous session? And Varda too? Boy...Am I lucky!!!!! :)
It turned out that renting the skis was not as good this year as
last year. Last year, once you rented your skis, you were able to
leave them overnight in the Ski Rental shop. No more! Now you must
check them in BEFORE 1600 at the ski storage area OR lug them to
your car! My poor car does NOT have a ski rack...so they
skis are sitting in the backseat....both my skis and Del

I was closing my parents' house back on Long Island, NY, in MARCH
2020! I was in NY on the subway, in restaurants, and I flew back
to K.C. on a plane loaded with students from Columbia and NYU
after their schools were first shut down. I did NOT get Covid
then. How could I not? I still don't understand.

Not as good as my mother's! But it was still tasty. The

Not too bad. It is very dry up in the Colorado Mtns, so the cold
is a lot easier to bear. It rarely got this cold when I was
growing up as a boy in Long Island, but at 20 Grad F, you felt
colder there than you do in Nebraska or Colorado at 0 Grad
F....the air is so much more humid back easts.

Oh no! I have spent years (sort of) cultivaating and creating my
superb desktop that includes a picture of Algonquin Peak in the
Adirondacks of NY...at 5,500 feet. Not tall by Rocky Mtn
standards, but hey, due to the rugged weather, treeline in the
northeast is at only 4,000 feet! Here in Colorado it is at 10,000
feet...big difference. Is there someway I could upload my desktop
picture

Back in WoW, weekly is WotLK timewalks. 3 new ones have been
rotated in since the last patch, and 4 of my 5 timewalks for the
week were of those 3. So that was nice and nostalgic

Finally, alting! Rogue gotten to 48, and now positioned in
Stormwind for when it's his turn to visit the other side. Switched
to the mage then, getting to her level 33 while progressing a bit
on the Frost Artifact questline. Next time she'll be facing the
boss scenario and hopefully get Ebonchill acquired

Her main spec is mage, but I like to use the specific specs for
the other artifact weapons on all my characters. So she's Frost
for a little bit, which is not a bad little spec to play.

Though the various procs buffing various abilities are confusing
me a bit. Might need to set up my actionbar a bit more intuitively
so they match screen positions.
