Wow, it seems no one cares about these lootboxes at all. One would
think they'd go for better than 75 silver, but nope, the AH has
two pages all about that much buyout, going as low as 40 silver
buyout. SSG definitely went overboard in the amount that drop and
the fact that keys must be bought from the LotRO store for LotRO

Doesn't look like they have a sell price in LotRO, so choice is
hope someone wants them bad enough to buy on the AH, or apparently
you can set a filter to ignore them so you never worry about them
again, heh. I'm having a hard time not justifying that method if
you're already got 20 or so and/or you're not planning on buying
many if any keys from the LotRO Store. I mean, if you could buy
the keys for gold or some other in-game currency, fine, but there
comes a point where enough is too much :} (edited)

Ok, comment on the RP for Arien, Phar,
Varda when you catch it: After pouring over the last couple
of pages of the RP, thinking about it, here's the angle I think we
can go with without getting too complicated, loosely described:
Frali has commented to Fainan on having that feeling like when he
had the sword. Fainan shares this with Auros at some point during
the evening out of concern, perhaps out of earshot of Frali, Auros
weighs his options, decides to make use of this, with Frali's
understanding that he's expecting that feeling to come into play
(being up front with Frali). Without telling Frali, Auros
essentially puts everyone on a rotating escort for Frali so
whoever is not on the watch or on patrol is with Frali.

that with Frali.

The malevolent force I mentioned we'll get into more after
Telperos talks about it, so let's not get bogged down there too
much yet.

sparklier than they used to be? Or notice any similar effects with
other items?

LotRO lootboxes: often filtered out so as not to clutter
inventory. Ever since LotRO was not allowed to let us quest for
keys but had to be store only due to laws/rules from several
countries, it has been a problem. And they drop all the time.

money to buy the keys, not ways of earning the keys in the game.

The drive to Hilliard (west to east) was uneventful except for
ruining a tire on a truck tie-down in Iowa City. Had to get the
tire replaced in Davenport. The trip home (through Chicago) was
easy, and I made it in record time. 12 hours from Manhasset, NY to
Joliet, Illinois. Stayed there overnight, then 6 hours from Joliet
to Omaha, ,where I had a business meeting. Arrived home in Lincoln
very early afternoon on Friday.

Level 147 on the reward track. Not sure how much further I'll get,
as the next expansion has been announced for in a few weeks

It's about Alterac Valley, the classic battleground between
dwarves and orcs, and a unique feature is that it requires you to
choose a side, alliance and horde, for its introduction
event/questline.

You'll get a golden legendary for that side, either Vanndar or
Drek'thar, and at the end of the questline you get the other one,
with other prizes along the way. But the side who wins the
race/event, will have its legendary becoming a free diamond card
as well.

Anyway, I chose Alliance, as usual.

Brawl is the Tol Barad brawl, with every minion you play putting
an equal-cost mana card in your hand, but for free.

Got myself a deck of proc-on-spell cheap minions, a few cheap
spells to support them, and a few giants fitting for the
situation. It allowed me to get a lot out of the brawl, and I won
most of my games

No new mercenaries this week, but got a few more to 30 as they
needed their bounty at 30 quests; Cornelius, Tyrande and Grom. And
several lower ones got a bunch of levels too, so it's progressing
nicely!

Raiding progress! We got Painsmith down on heroic, putting us at 6
bosses down and giving double heroic vault slots. Nice to have a
choice, though both choices would have been an upgrade for me this
week, coincidentally
Weekly is battlegrounds, which went rather nicely, even though the
brawl was bugged and I couldn't do that one.

Black Friday sale started this week, and I gave in and got the new
Stargazer's pack, with a Celestial Steed mount, the Argi pet, and
a new transmog set, the Celestial Observer's Ensemble. All very
nice! Not sure who I'll use the set on, maybe separate pieces, but
I do quite like the mount and pet

And finally, anniversary stuff, which I've been working hard on!
New appearance pieces on the Doomwalker boss, where I sent my
druid as well as paladin, rogue, mage, warrior and demon hunter
alts.
Got a bunch of armor pieces off him, as well as the new axe,
Akama's Edge!
Apparently level 30 is enough to get the loot, so that's nice.

Don't have everything yet, with 2 weapons and cloth legs
remaining, so I'm still sending in 4 characters. I haven't played
alts this much in a long time!

And mostly the mage, at that, as it's the first year she's at an
eligible level, and my first cloth character for that. So she's
been killing Kazzak, Azuregos and green dragons as well for
weapons and cloth armor, though since she's level 30, she can't
search for groupfinder raids and needs to sit around for other
people to gather. Makes it tricky sometimes.

Oh, and she got level 31 on the way. Progress
But she did get several pieces already, including the wand from
Azuregos.

Oh, and of course I got the new mount and toy from Doomwalker as
well, since they upped the droprate to 100%, and I bought the new
timeless mechanical dragonling from the anniversary vendor.

So, lots of new stuff, including good drops, and if I don't get
the last few pieces, I do intend to have paladin, rogue and mage
at level 60 soon for the covenants, so they'll be a lot smoother
next year
