Happy Father's Day!
[4:06 PM]
We were traveling for Father's Day so Fangorn had a chance to see all his brothers and their wives and a batch of nephews and nieces. Much fun was had!
Did anyone else do anything for Father's Day? I'm not sure if it's done outside of the US today?

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:07 PM
Well, we recognize it here, but not really something my parents play in to. It's nice as a reminder only.
And yes, it was today.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:07 PM
Nice. : )
[4:07 PM]
You can always give a hug. : )

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:08 PM
Always nice

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:08 PM
I called my dad after I was reminded by an ad email.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:08 PM
Anyway, Eonwe may be late or unable to come for the meeting.
Yay for that ad mail! : )

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:09 PM
My dad was pleasantly surprised, yes.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:09 PM
Huzzah!
[4:10 PM]
If anyone else was just reminded and needs to make a phone call, please have at it!
[4:12 PM]
I'm hurriedly grabbing some news as I just got home before the meeting, pardon.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:15 PM
Putting Ner'zhul in that raid seems a bit like fanservice, to be honest. Though it is tangentially related to the storyline.

Irmo — Yesterday at 4:16 PM
Heya heya heya!

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:16 PM
Also note there's a bossfight called The Nine
[4:16 PM]
Aiya!

Varda — Yesterday at 4:16 PM
Aiya Irmo!
[4:16 PM]
hahaha - very good?

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:16 PM
Well, it's in the raid preview, but it should be fun... it's not so much ringwraiths as Sylvanas' 9 valkyr, though.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:17 PM
Thanks.  : )
[4:17 PM]
Check out this week's hotfixes.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:17 PM
But I wonder if there any Nazgul references anyway.

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:17 PM
Also kind of dead people though. So I see some similarities there.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:17 PM
True.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:18 PM
And calling 9 dead people the Nine? Couldn't possibly... o wait. : )

I've been trying the new region. It gets a bit wonky if you're gaming with other players in a different phase of the game but you can still run alongside. That beats the others where you can't even see each other, but only barely.
Still, it can work. : )

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:28 PM
So other people fighting monsters you can't see?

Varda — Yesterday at 4:28 PM
The update area is huge, loaded with quests.
That might happen, hasn't to me yet. Can't see some of the quest items. May have trouble seeing the local monsters in the phased area.

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:29 PM
That's one feature the devs over at Turbine could learn from WoW. The Phasing system works really well there as far as I am aware of.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:29 PM
So far I've usually been ahead and heard the horror stories from those running with me.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:29 PM
You can't see each other in WoW in different questphases, I think. It even has a display that they're in a different phase.
Same for warmode on and off.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:29 PM
In previous phased stuff, you can't get together at all in LotRO.

Tolkien!
[4:32 PM]
We had an interesting question from Shelob for us to chew on:

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:33 PM
Something to chew from Shelob? Forgot to liquify it?

Varda — Yesterday at 4:33 PM
May-be
[4:33 PM]
Does Arwen have the right to choose between immortality and the Doom of Men, like her father, or is she, as I think it is, counted among Elves because of her father's choice, and that only her love for Aragorn would eventually cause her to choose the Doom of Men.
[4:33 PM]
End quote

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:33 PM
The subject is a bit hard to liquify, on account of having a very sharp sword.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:34 PM
oh, one more LotRO thing whilst you're thinkkingP

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:34 PM
Or at least having a paramour with a very sharp sword.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:34 PM

Ok, back to sharp swords and such. : )
This question actually is about what is the Choice of the Half-elven and does Arwen have it?

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:35 PM
According to the research I did, Arwen (along with her brothers) got to choose their fates when the Elves from Lorien and Imladris were finally returning to Valinor.
My issue is that Arwen was already over 2700 years old.
[4:36 PM]
And got to outlive Aragorn by I do not know how long.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:36 PM
Myes. While Elros made it to 500 after choosing his fate, it does seem a bit unfair to first live a few millennia and then choosing to get out.

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 4:36 PM
pokes her way in on a lazy sun beam

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:36 PM
And as far as I am aware of, she was still not mortal, just chose to stop living, and instead of going to Mandos, leave the confines of the world.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:37 PM
Aiya Arien!

Varda — Yesterday at 4:37 PM
Aiya Arien : )

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:38 PM
This leads me to believe that the children of Elrond Half Elven did not get the choice, but Arwen's choice was a gift by Iluvatar, the same that Luthien received because of her love for Beren.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:38 PM
Do we have confirmation that she actually left the world, rather than ending up in Mandos?

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:39 PM
I think so, yes.
[4:40 PM]
I think in two ways.
[4:40 PM]
One was Elrond's Vision of losing Arwen's light forever.
[4:40 PM]
The second I think was in the annals at the end of LotR.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:41 PM
This is a bit scattered across the Appendices and feel free to keep talking between dug-up quotes. : )
[4:41 PM]
Appendix A:
[4:42 PM]
This is long so feel free to break in usiing parentheses.
The sons of Earendil were Elros and Elrond, the Perdhil or Half-elven.
In them alone the line of the heroic chieftains of the Edain of the First Age was preserved, and after the fall of Gil-galad the lineage of the High-elven Kings was also in Middle-earth only represented by their descendants.
At the end of the First Age the Valar gave to the Half-elven an irrevocable choice to which kindred they would belong.
Elrond chose to be of Elven-kind, and became a master of wisdom.
@Varda
At the end of the First Age the Valar gave to the Half-elven an irrevocable choice to which kindred they would belong.
Shelob — Yesterday at 4:45 PM
This to me signifies that Elrond's children did not have the choice, as it was already irrevocably made by Elrond.
[4:45 PM]
Otherwise why would they get the choice, but the children of Elros did not?

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:45 PM
Indeed >.>

Varda — Yesterday at 4:46 PM
To him therefore was granted the same grace as to those of the High Elves that still lingered in Middle-earth: that when weary at last of the mortal lands they could take ship from the Grey Havens and pass into the Uttermost West; and this grace continued after the change of the world.
Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:46 PM
or his greatgreat...greatgrandchildren!

Varda — Yesterday at 4:46 PM
But to the children of Elrond a choice was also appointed: to pass with him from the circles of the world;
or if they remained to become mortal and die in Middle-earth.
Shelob
Otherwise why would they get the choice, but the children of Elros did not?

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:47 PM
If seen in this light, Aprhie's plans of conquest of Valinor is merely a tale spun by Sauron to discredit him, and it was merely an expedition to redress this terrible wrong that was done unto the Edain.
Darn it.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:47 PM
For Elrond, therefore, all chances of the War of the Ring were fraught with sorrow..
Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 4:47 PM
8ํ๓๓๓hmm it sais in the Tale of Arwen and Aragorn in Appendix A of Tlotr
(she laid herself to rest upon Cerin Amroth and there is her green grave until the world is changed and all the days of her life are wholy forgotten by men that come after, and Eleanor and Niphredil blooms no more east of the Sea")
Varda — Yesterday at 4:48 PM
Elros chose to be of Man-kind and remain with the Edain; but a great life-span was granted to him many times that of lesser men.
[4:48 PM]
End quote.

Aye, Arien. Like Aragorn, she chose to give up her life before it might have otherwise ended for whatever reason.
[4:49 PM]
Getting the chance to leave the circles of the world, to be with Eru, was considered a gift that immortals eventually envied all too often.
They had to wait until the new Arda.
[4:50 PM]
The tough part was for those that remained behind, feeling the loss of those that went ahead.
[4:51 PM]
The prevous part was App A, I The Numenorean Kings, (i) Numenor.

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:52 PM
Aye, but I'm not entirely sure where I found it, but I saw a quote saying that before Arwen could not see why Men would not consider the Gift of Death a gift, but when she chose to remain with Aragorn, she could see why. (or close to it)

Varda — Yesterday at 4:52 PM
A bit under (iii) includes a nice bit on Aragorn you can read.

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 4:52 PM
It is in the same passage that i garbled in the quote just two lines before that

Varda — Yesterday at 4:53 PM
App A (v) Here Follows a Part of the Tale of Aragorn and Arwen
You will really want to read over that one.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:54 PM
I wonder if it has something to do with men being more free to choose their own fate... Elves could be released from their immortal fate and into the unpredictable fate of Men, but mortals could not be lassoed back into the fate of immortality.

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:54 PM
Unfortunately, when I cleaned out my place 2 years ago, I accidentally cleaned out all my Tolkien books as well.

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 4:54 PM
ouch

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:54 PM
Sounds like an excuse to buy new ones.

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 4:54 PM
time to replenish stock at some point  or ask for them as presents
[4:55 PM]
maybe someone else wants to clear out stuff and has some Tolkien book he or she doesn't want anymore

Varda — Yesterday at 4:56 PM
Might even be worth picking them up in an online version. I've thought about trying that sometime.
Zero clutter. : )

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:56 PM
Maybe it's with the way mortals and immortals live... you can be unaging for a bit and then go into a phase of aging, but you can't live the fast and aging life of men and then at the end choose to not die.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:56 PM
Maybe you have a used book store in the area? Might pick up a few there.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 4:56 PM
The choice seems a one-way street, whatever the explanation.

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:56 PM
I will eventually get to it. For now I don't really have the space for them, and since I don't read them except on occasions such as this one, I'd rather spend the money and space on study books I do need.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:57 PM
Ok, we'll try to dig out the parts you need to answer the question.
Used books are usually pretty cheap, at least here, and it's just fun to browse.

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:58 PM
Not many places you'll find used books over here. And if then, rarely English books.

Varda — Yesterday at 4:59 PM
Tolkien has translations into other languages, if that helps.
You may be stuck with buying used online?

Shelob — Yesterday at 4:59 PM
I'd rather read in English. Otherwise, I would not have mentioned that little factoid.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:00 PM
That would be the original language it was written in, the best way to read it, aye.

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:00 PM
Even if English is translated, I'd rather read the English translation than the Dutch translation.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:00 PM
So, over time, you might want to pick them up in E-books for zero space-taking. Not all at once!

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:00 PM
Bilbo Balings in the Gouw?

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:01 PM
I don't really like e-books. I'm kind of old fashioned.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:01 PM
Hunting a way to cut your space problem. Paperbacks take less space than hardback if you like.
[5:02 PM]
You guys know what he needs for Christmas!

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:02 PM
I know, I know. Thanks for all the tips. But I'll get the books back eventually, when I've got space for a bookcase or two.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:02 PM
Did we ever get your question answered ok?

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:02 PM
Oh yes, definitely.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:02 PM
Or maybe cardboard box shelves. : )
[5:03 PM]
yay!

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:03 PM
I still think it's a bit unfair.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:03 PM
We have competed our quest!
Humans not being given the choice for immortality?

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:03 PM
And as much grief as I have given Arphie over the years, seeking redress for that wrong seems kind of the right thing to do.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:03 PM
Thank you

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:03 PM
But then again, I'm a bit of an evil spidey, so I like evil stuffses.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:04 PM
As Garfield the cat says, squick.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:04 PM
Well, that was the whole point, really. We didn't like the choice our ancestor made. We could've had immortality, and there were those elves flaunting it across the sea

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:04 PM
Though of course, is eating a meal being evil, or just in one's nature?

Varda — Yesterday at 5:04 PM
Right! : )
[5:05 PM]
Right over there on that island we can visit and that they visit from!
Eressea.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:05 PM
Exactly

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:05 PM
But we can't go further! Oh the inhumanity!
I mean. Elvity!

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:05 PM
And as we started to dislike the Elves, we also started to dislike the Elven traditions our ancestors were carrying, like the naming language.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:06 PM
Must be the dirt they're standing on that gives them immortality. We'll go put our feet on it too. Hmm doesn't work in Eressea so we'll try Valinor. (Logic was thin with them.)
No Tar-for you!

@Ar-Pharazon-V
And as we started to dislike the Elves, we also started to dislike the Elven traditions our ancestors were carrying, like the naming language.
Shelob — Yesterday at 5:06 PM
So we bent them a little and still did the same thing, but slightly different.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:06 PM
It's like our ancestor sold us out and the ancestors after him were proud of it.
Heh, yes, Shelob.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:07 PM
And yet it didn't seem that way until wise Sauron, traitor to Valinor and enslaver of Men in Middle-earth, said so. He must be right!

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:07 PM
My parents and I are not Christians but we do have a bit of fun with the commercialized version of X-mas

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:07 PM
And we used the boats that those uppity Elves had taught us to make, and the armour and weaponry those twice blasted smiths of theirs taught us to make to teach them a lesson they would never forget.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:08 PM
Presents are presents, no matter what the day, right? And there are birthdays and un-birthdays to go with.
Literally would never forget. heh

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:08 PM
We'd had the "problem" figured out for ages, Varda. Sauron just gave us a solution
And we were eager to take it.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:08 PM
Riiiight.
[5:09 PM]
Sauron said that was so.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:09 PM
Also, we'd never set foot in Eressea, I recall.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:09 PM
Well! No Eressea!

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:09 PM
What we kinda did not factor in was that while Sauron was ever wise and ever immortal, was the teensy tiny fact that those he betrayed in Valinor were a teensy tiny bit more powerful than him.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:09 PM
Stepping on an elven boat maybe?

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:09 PM
And once we were all the way there in the invasion, might as well test out the soil of Valinor rather than that little elf island.

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 5:10 PM
could start passing presents around from friend to friend in a circle of  the number of years that you have friends .. so maybe in say 12  or 15 years your present would end up with again   And then start a new cycle with a new present that makes the rounsd

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:10 PM
That might actually have been your saving grace there, Arphie.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:10 PM
Sure, why not? Not a soul anywhere in sight bothering to stop us.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:10 PM
Why settle for anything less?

Varda — Yesterday at 5:10 PM
The Hobbits had the mathom thing down quite well, Arien. They might even have tried that version!

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:11 PM
The fact that you did not shed blood in your arrogance... I mean rightful path to seek compensation from some uppity godlike beings.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:11 PM
No blood in front of you to shed, only reason.

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 5:11 PM
Fair enough to say that i was inspired by the Hobbits for that

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:11 PM
Was Eressea abandoned?

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 5:11 PM
it sounds hobbity enough

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:11 PM
Or was it simply bypassed?

Varda — Yesterday at 5:12 PM
Nope. But Eressea was split away from Middle-earth to be on the Valinor side of things.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:12 PM
It was bypassed, and I do recall that our fleet (my fleet!) blocking off the light from Valinor made the Elves on Eressea sickly.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:12 PM
ahh, it was bypassed I believe.

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:12 PM
True, but Arphie's armada and army could easily have leveled the place had he chosen to do so.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:12 PM
He might think so. Ulmo and Osse may have objected.
They liked their boat and elves.
[5:13 PM]
Probably saved their lives to bypass Eressea.

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:13 PM
True, but then he would not have had that comfy cave to wait in until the return of Morgoth to see evil in its true form and have the chance to rebalance the evil he did unknowingly.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:13 PM
Possibly. But I think we just didn't bother. Also, we had no violent intentions towards the Elves. Had they stood in our way, we would have fought. But we didn't come for blood.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:13 PM
Ar-Pharazon's locker instead of Davy Jones'?

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:14 PM
Although, when you think of it.... Isn't it a bit excessive for the Valar to just go and kill all the women and children for the foolery of their men?

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:14 PM
We wanted life, not death.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:14 PM
Besides, Eressea was small potatoes, picking up immortality most likely from Valinor.

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 5:14 PM
ironic that you only found death where you sought life

Varda — Yesterday at 5:14 PM
Go to the source!

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:14 PM
Right, Varda
Oh, we found it. But we didn't bring it.
[5:15 PM]
That must count for something.

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:15 PM
Did any of your people find it, or was it just you?

Varda — Yesterday at 5:15 PM
Shelob, the Valar didn't do the killing. They backed off and gave the situation to Eru.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:15 PM
I meant finding death. Though me and my people on the shores ended up finding life, in a way.

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:15 PM
And as I said, your people, as in not your army, died a very violent and sudden death in the depths of the ocean when Numenor was swallowed.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:15 PM
Yeah, we didn't see that coming.

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 5:15 PM
You brought it on yoursef , Phari . i fear .. the order not to go to Valinor as mortals was clear

Varda — Yesterday at 5:16 PM
Nobody expected that!
But Sauron said...
: )
[5:17 PM]
And we sacrificed all those people to Morgoth for Sauron.
That had to make it all right, right?
O, guess not.

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 5:17 PM
... [Political comments removed for the transcript, leaving ...]

@Varda
And we sacrificed all those people to Morgoth for Sauron.

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:17 PM
Oh, this might be a bit of a killer for the mercy department.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:18 PM
Politicians will just have to be left out while we discuss their predecessors. : )

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:18 PM
I think Sauron has more respect for the truth... He's just incredibly crafty and knows how to twist it to suit his needs.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:18 PM

Varda — Yesterday at 5:19 PM

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:20 PM
Sorry!

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:21 PM
I should've brought her with me.

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:21 PM
Retreating back to the safety of Eไ politicking!

Varda — Yesterday at 5:21 PM
We've passed by the hour with a good 20 minutes.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:21 PM
We'd be caved together.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:21 PM
Actually, that's an interesting idea, Phar. I wonder if she might have softened things.

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:21 PM
Would she though?

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 5:21 PM
Let me add a couple off member news i couldnt bring in at the beginning if you allow Varda

Varda — Yesterday at 5:21 PM

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:22 PM

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:23 PM
I'll add my own after you Arien.

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 5:23 PM
And we had our second vaccination Jab on Wednesday

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:23 PM
What, my lovely Zimraphel? Don't remember that, but wouldn't surprise me. I do remember something about her standing on top of the temple as the place drowned, though... but that might be overdramatic remembrance.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:23 PM
Grats on being done with vax.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:23 PM
Grats Arien!

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 5:23 PM
That was my news and thanks

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:23 PM
I got my first one yestereve.

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:24 PM
Getting my second in about... 2 and a half weeks I think.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:24 PM
Maybe we can pick up a little more freedom worldwide with the vaccines, I hope.
[5:24 PM]
(Texas is open right now, though.)

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:24 PM
We're dropping a mass of safety measures in about a week from now.

Varda — Yesterday at 5:25 PM
That should be an incredilbe relief!

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:25 PM
Indeed

Shelob — Yesterday at 5:25 PM
But more importantly, and this will not be news to Varda, as I had already informed her, is that last friday I had my last exam of the first year of my studies and passed (barely), obtaining all the points necessary to close the first year and go to the second without having to worry about repeating any exams!

Ar-Pharazon-V — Yesterday at 5:25 PM
All that remains is the 1.5 meter distance and its spatial consequences, the mouth masks were that's not possible... and for events requiring proof of vax and the like, both can be dropped.
[5:26 PM]
Grats Shelob!

Arien  Valar — Yesterday at 5:26 PM
We have national tourism going  and some foreign travellers are allowed but theres new travel bans to two english towns .. Manchester and Bollton .. while Bedford and Northern Ireland are open again
[5:26 PM]
Grats Shelob

Varda — Yesterday at 5:27 PM

Purrrsonal gaming report!

Only one new badge this week, but still a fun few other games to mention for non-flashgaming
[5:58 PM]
https://www.kongregate.com/games/lozzajp/maptroid is the first game! A metroid-inspired 2d maze game where you explore tunnels looking for parts to activate your crashed spaceship. Along the way you'll find fuel for your ship, upgrades that allow you to unlock/visit other places in the maze, and a lot of texts that give flavor but also contain some Metroid references

Blizzard gaming:
[6:44 PM]

Heroes of the Storm:
No new levels, still 456. Had more fun with Tyrande anyway, which reminds me of her new model as shown in a patchrelated cutscene on the blogsite, and reviewed at https://www.wowhead.com/news/322917
    Wowhead
Updated Night Warrior Tyrande Model in Patch 9.1 Cinematics
The teaser video playing in the background of the Warcraft site includes an enhanced Night Warrior model for Tyrande, depicting her magical elements with greater detail.

[6:45 PM]
New desktop image for me
[6:48 PM]
Hearthstone:
Made it to level 100 on the reward track! 105 actually, but after 100 you just get a small amount per level at lower experience needed. 100's the big one, unlocking another tier-1 geared hero skin
[6:49 PM]
Out of the ones I'm not already using an alternate skin for, I went for the demon hunter skin, which looks a bit more impressive than the standard demon hunter portrait.
[6:51 PM]
That was actually the second new skin I got, since I got enough gold to buy a new one  I knew it was going to be for hunter, between either Alleria or Sylvanas. Ended up going with Alleria since I'm more of an Alliance type anyway, and it seems to fit the class fantasy better than her undead sister.
[6:52 PM]
Which one i'm saving for next I'm not completely sure of, but Hazelbark for the druid seems interesting
[6:54 PM]
Brawl is Battle of the Bans! Pick four cards, one will be banned by the other player, you get 10 of each other card. So basically pick a combo where no piece is wholly essential.
Dug up my hunter mecha deck from last time the brawl was up, and it's still quite good
[6:57 PM]
WoW:
[6:57 PM]
Our last raid week for this tier, sadly we've not been able to get a second Denathrius kill. Between the heat and the summer and possibly raid burnout, we've just not been getting the numbers.
[6:58 PM]
For our raid achievement run which we're temporarily doing on thursdays, we had not enough for Nathria, so we went back to BfA's Eternal Palace.
[6:59 PM]
Where we systematically went through the place and got every achievement for all bosses except the last two  We'll do those next!
[7:00 PM]
Weekly is timewalks, pandaria version. Actually had quite a bit of fun with those, especially the Brewery is a very flavorful dungeon.
Pun not intended.
[7:01 PM]
Several new things acquired!
[7:02 PM]
Got enough anima for my first vendorbought weapon arsenal, that being Winterborn from the Marasmius vendor. Checked it on an alt and the winternborn appearances for other weapons besides my druid's appear to be unlocked, though requiring level 48 to use.
[7:03 PM]
After that moved to the wild hunt vendor, where I picked up a new soulshape, the crane  I like the way it runs, so I think I'll use that one for a bit.
[7:04 PM]
2 new pets! One from the Maw, after killing a random rare, called the Undying Deathroach. It actually looks quite nice for a roach, and I think it's more of a devourer model.
And a black vulpin pet called Sable from the conservatory  Only one pet remains from there!
[7:06 PM]
Finally, alting!
Got my paladin from 33 to 36, working on the class campaign.
[7:10 PM]
Along the way I recovered the Falling Star, went through the Exodar scenario, and then went to Faronaar to hunt Balnazzar and collect a codex. In our efforts to decipher it I got a friend to help me through the Violet Hold dungeon
[7:11 PM]
And now with the required missions done I'm one quest away of completing this chapter of the campaign as well. Next one seems to require level 45, as do the Suramar and Broken Shore questlines, it being the scaled parallel to max Legion level... which means I'm probably going to end up grinding levels in the normal Legion quests rather than the remainders of the class campaign. I wish I could've gotten more xp out of it, but at least it should still work from 45 to 48...
[7:12 PM]
I even considered moving to another expansion for those 9 levels, but don't really want to clutter my questlog that much.
So my next venture will probably be in Azsuna.
[7:13 PM]
Oh, and as I had to wait for the missions, I also prepped my next alt, the rogue, a bit, doing the preparations for the Broken Shore scenario.
[7:14 PM]
Considering he nearly died during the practice duel, I am quite worried about how he'll do in Legion content. But I'm sure it won't be too overtuned.. right?
And that's my report for the week!
