A little over a month ago, as my alliance was looking for things to
do, we decided to hit a group of piratical types and bring peace and
justice to the stars etc etc. They called some friends of theirs who
are also conveniently pre-existing enemies of ours, and they
started attacking some of our assets. We called in our friends, they
called in theirs, and then a few attack-counterattacks later, we
have a new giant war campaign with some several hundred people
involved on both sides. It's complete with shifting allegiances,
last minute saves, ambushes, etc. Quite nice if not for a few of our
enemies taking things too far and attacking the people behind the
characters.

There have been several large battles, with the last one totaling
some 500 characters between both sides, and it went like this: We
were attacking their structure, which is irreplaceable due to the
special nature of where it is. This battle would determine if it
lived (for now) or died. We had a big fight, multiple fleets on both
sides, just a slog. Our enemies would die, get a new ship, undock,
and come back in. Almost all of them died at least once if not 2, 3,
4 times. Eventually they wore us and our allies down.

We both left the field, and with about 7 minutes left on the clock,
we found that our allies were throwing in the towel, not willing to
come back to the meatgrinder. We had reshipped and restocked, and
checked how close the structure was to death. Our scout reported 10%
hp left. We decided to ride into Valhalla shiny and chrome, and do a
run on the enemy. Note that at this point, the enemy thinks they
have won. They are celebrating and clapping each other on the back.

We show up, and do nothing but attack their structure, ignoring the
enemy fleet completely --- only, it's at 19%, not 10%. Or fleet
begins getting chipped apart, our healers are teleported away from
our fleet, and it's called to run everyone for themselves and play
for as much time as possible while putting as much damage as
possible into the structure.

It's a mess that the game devs made, it's pretty ugly and it's one
of the reasons the people we're fighting lashed out against us. They
feel very neglected and under attack and that CCP promised them
things and then didn't deliver and now they're paying for believing
that promise.

destroyed an Alliance and then Corp i was part of ages ago and since
then i never really was part of a player corp or got involved in Eve
pvp and then stopped playing basically because it cost too much time
to get ships built not too mention the gold necessary to buy stuff

While my alliance is not quite as family-friendly as the inimitable
Valar Guild, we're pretty good people if I do say so myself. And
we're willing to help new players. There are some caveats in that we
are a pvp group and have particular allegiances in game (and
particular enemies) but if you're not interested in that there's
always the channel and the corporation and I'm happy to help as much
as my time allows.

Her healing isn't my strong point, but the ranger spec works pretty
well, maybe as a bit of a Valla/Sylvanas knockoff

Tavern Brawl is Blood Magic, with all spells costing health rather
than mana, allowing you to pile up a bunch of spells with your 30
health and hopefully clear the game quickly Of course if
you're brought low on the opponent's turn you can cast less spells,
which makes it interesting.

Had some trouble until I found a druid deck online which mostly
consisted of heavy card-drawing and armor+attack spells, which on
top of putting up your attack also allows you to play more spells
overall. It's almost like cheating really... most matches are won in
1 or 2 turns.

Got a new pet! Made enough pet charms from missions to buy 1 of the
missing 4 charm-pets, and I got Willowbreeze, the white unicorn foal
from the Court of Night quartermaster.

Between the appearance and flavor text it put me in mind of the old
Robot Unicorn Attack game, so I called it Rouna for short

Finally, alting! Spent some more time on the paladin and her class
campaign, getting from level 32 to 33 along the way. Not too much,
but there's a lot of scenarios and running around to set things up,
so it's not too surprising that I didn't get a lot of quests done.

Got both missing artifacts, the holy hammer Silver Hand, and the
Truthguard, the protection shield + sword. Had some trouble with the
holy questline since I'm terrible at healing - died 3 times in the
final fight and the npcs were down most of the time as well - but
the protection quests were actually pretty fun, and I think she
could tank in the future when needed.

After that, went on a few quests to set up the Sanctum a bit more,
recruiting my first 2 champions, including Lady Liadrin herself, and
did a few introductory missions on the board, unlocking troops and
the class hall upgrades.

And then we can really get the class campaign under way, with the
falling star, dungeon quests, and lots more champions to
collect Should be fun!
