Oh, belated personal gaming news: I solo'd the Hailstone Construct
last week. It's a world boss that came out with the current
expansion, so the ability to solo it was surprising. It's not even
like it was a close fight.

Eve got a big update last Tuesday, with
chapter 3 of the Triglavian invasion beginning

There are still lots of unknowns around the invasion, as it
continues to be in progress. We've learned a few things about the
Trig targets, and after a few days of work one system was brought
into 'Escalating Liminality' which meant no CONCORD response in
there. It was a .6 system, and now acts as a .3 for the purpose of
police response. The pro-trig fleets have largely degenerated into
shooting each other instead of EDENCOM, so no further progress has
ben made.

a number of systems have been pushed into the EDENCOM fortress
stage, however.

More systems are invaded by the day, but the endgame of this is
still up in the air, especially if the pro-Trig forces can't get
their act together and never manage to push a system to the final
stage.

Lots of questions remain about how the invasions will progress, what
will happen, etc.

I expect some updates from CCP this week as they tweak the content
because some of it is being completed '3x quicker' than they
intended.

Yeah, the move to lowsec has really put a damper on it. However, the
fighting there has been great, and I hope to see more stuff.

It's lowsec, but no cynos, no booshing, etc. So really, highsec but
no CONCORD. I think CCP are testing out how players will react to
this, and it's been overwhelmingly positive from everyone who has,
so I hope this leads to broader changes.

Structures that are left unpowered for 7 days will now transition to
an 'abandoned' state which will mean they have no asset safety and
can be killed without any reinforcement. There's messaging in the
client for this in your inventory list if you have any assets an in
unpowered structure which is liable to go abandoned. First
structures will begin to be in this state tomorrow after downtime,
so you should log in and check.

I've managed the last few 3-masks with my self-rez intact, no
hiccups. Just been worried about one mob pack in the Old Town that
tends to be the one that costs me the rez when I get unlucky.

This time, however, I switched to feral spec for her fight instead
of guardian for a bit more dps, and although I lost a bit of sanity
during the first half, the second half was a lot smoother as long as
I could keep the center clear of bombs.

Heroes of the Storm:
2 levels gained, to 415! One was Auriel, my Diablo healer to level
6, and the other was Alexstrasza to level 3 through a brawl. Funnily
enough, that was the only one of the 3 brawls I didn't win, I had
some good heroes for the other 2

Hearthstone:
End of the season, not a good one for me, ended up still in
bronze Still, got the card back and a bit of xp and wins here
and there.

Brawl was an amalgamation of past brawls, with each class getting
the perks of a different class. Went hunter with randomized card
costs, and managed to play a 10-cost minion for 1 mana at an early
turn. Opponent couldn't come back from that!

But biggest news, I opened up all those packs I had collected,
finally Bunch of packs each day, and now I'm finally back to
nothing

Thanks to the new system wherein you only get duplicates after
you've completed an entire rarity per set, I managed to get all the
new common and rare cards that were added to the classic set, as
well as a few epics there I'd never gotten in all the years of play.

As well as a whole bunch of legendaries from different sets!

From the classic set I got Gruul, the big minion that gains 1/1 in
stats each turn, can turn into quite the powerhouse.

Considering they've been in the game since the start, it felt extra
nice to finally get them.

From last year's set Rise of Shadows, I got the legendary Jepetto
Joybuzz, a gnome tinkerer that draws 2 minions from your deck and
sets them to 1/1 stats and 1 mana cost. Seems rather dangerous,
unless you have a deck filled with good battlecries or other cards
whose power lies not in their stats.

And from the Saviors of Uldum I got the legendary warrior quest Hack
the System, which seems great for a weapons build.

Sporeggar leader, one of the new "Prime" cards, which starts out
weak but shuffles a more powerful version of itself in your deck
when it dies.

Raiding's going according to our new plans! Some heroic farming on
thursdays, and the new altraids seem to work fine on sundays. We had
our first altraid tonight with the help of that French guild I
mentioned last week, and they seem good people

Overall, it went very smooth on normal difficulty.

I really can't get any upgrades from this anymore, but it's still
fun!

As mentioned earlier, finally completed my 5mask solo horrific
vision, Stormwind version. Same easy affixes as last week, so I had
good hopes. Hopes got dashed a bit by that failure in the dwarven
quarter, and I almost considered starting over right there, but
seemed like a waste of my entry vessel, with more mementos to be had
even if I failed further in.

But I didn't fail! Did the entire thing in guardian spec, but
switched to feral dps for Alleria because that's where I messed up 2
weeks ago.

And though I got little damage done and way too much sanity drain
early in the fight, for the second half I managed to focus the fight
on the center of the room, avoiding eye gazes and bombs, while
bursting her down, and easily keeping my sanity from emptying.

So it was close, and I got it! Just Orgrimmar left for feat of
strength and new title.
[7:11 PM]
Will keep trying whenever it's Orgrimmar week, but the best odds
will be when I get the same affixes as in Stormwind, which is the
combination which doesn't include split personality.

Made some changes in the corruptions I'll want from the vendor,
seeing as Devour Vitality appears to be a weapon-only corruption and
will probably not be available from the vendor.

Instead I'll get 3 critbuffs for feral, and the Twilight Devastation
beam for the gear shared between the two specs. And since the loot I
got from the solo vision, at 470 ilevel, is pretty good catpants,
I've also narrowed down all slots/gear I want to put the corruption
on. So all that's left now is getting the echoes required and
waiting for the right corruptions to be on sale!

Weekly this week is timewalks, which is always fun, though that's
pretty much all I get out of it now With it being Warlords of
Draenor week, only my druid is high enough level, which made things
rather fast, and I got all 5 done in 3 days.

Also downloaded the new short story! Been a while since we've had
one. Skimmed through it for a bit, is rather nice and casual for a
change

Little slice of life which was already foreshadowed through in-game
dialogue, with Lor'themar and Thalyssra.

Almost done with my warlock biography! I really like the way it's
developed. Only a couple of paragraphs left. So maybe I'll be able
to delve into the TA expansion somewhere during the next week

those who have never met my alts in-game.
