Well, first off, I've been absent for a long time, and part of that
is due to the fact that past year has been rather hectic in many
different ways.

rather nervous to share and I don't know why.

At any rate, about a year ago, I finally realized that one of the
reasons I have been feeling depressed so much for so long is that I
am unhappy in my own body.

the fairer sex

Ergo, I am transgender. I made the social transition very quickly
after I came to this conclusion and have been living as a woman ever
since.

the said name change.

I've always liked Varda's son Sauron, and his name inspired me to
choose one to follow in his footsteps: Shelob.

but minimized. On the bottom right of the systems tray there is an

Relatively small update with some more expensive cookies and a tier
of building upgrades and achievements, but the big thing is the
"stock market" minigame for the Bank building.

Basically as simple as buy low, sell high. The stocks you can buy
are based on the building types you have, and the amount you can own
depends on the size of your warehouse (which you can upgrade by
spending cookies and sugar) and how many buildings of that type you
have.

1%!

Also comes with a bunch of achievements, of which I now have all

First one is quite short, though, where you're sent to a small
village to track down a witch.

The actual puzzles and sequential logic is a bit awkward though; new
characters appear in new places at seemingly random developments,
some ingredients in nature require.. well... clicking randomly in
bushes etc, and there's some other pixel hunting going in.

even somewhat, go for the rest of it too... I'm sure I will too at
some point

Heroes of the Storm:
Still level 426, no new levels. Had a few interesting brawls,
including one with me as one of 2 Genjis. Genji's generally pretty
bad in brawl, but we actually did quite well, harrassing the enemy
team and getting out on time That was a tense game though,
lasting half an hour, and we ended up losing anyway

Finished the event quests by getting 80 takedowns total, which went
rather fast, as I tend to get 10 to 15 kills per ai game, usually.

Total Annihilation:
Done with the campaign! Level 11 went rather smoothly from last time
on, though it was annoying to hunt down a submarine after I'd killed
everything else

Level 12 was... unusual.

You only have 90 minutes to take down the superweapon and the enemy
commander, though you can take your time with the rest of the base.

90 minutes is pretty short for the average mission, at least the way
I play... but you started out with a ton of troops.

Problem: Most of them is on transports, and transports are a pain to
unload, you have to unload them manually at whatever free space you
have, one at a time. And in the meantime you're being peppered by
hailstorms.
[8:43 PM]
So important thing is to spread your stuff and unload everything
before your transports get destroyed randomly
[8:45 PM]
Once you have done that, though, the game really begins. You can
pretty much skip the lower tech tiers since you start with a bunch
of construction units of various tiers, and some of your ships
provide extra power, so you can basically launch right into the
upper energy buildings and metal mines.

And other than some patrolling units and early attack waves, no land
units can reach you, since the enemy's completely isolated on a
plateau.
[8:47 PM]
So I started surrounding myself by defensive missile towers,
cranking out missile vehicles, building a whole bunch of metal
makers to use the energy surplus and get some metal flowing... while
building some construction planes to repair my base because oh man
those hailstorms.

So a very unusual start, a somewhat regular build order, and
followed by the plan of attack... about half a dozen long distance
cannons, powered by many fusion reactors, and supplemented by some
advanced radars with a targeting facility.

In the meantime I started cranking out airplanes myself, and
scouting out the enemy base for the weapon and the commander. With
planes and cannons combined, taking them out was easy, and then I
could just sit back as the rest got bombarded
[8:49 PM]
Overall, quite an easy mission once you live through the first few
minutes.

Timer's short.. but so's your teching up, so it's no problem.

And that was the second of two campaigns! I could call myself done
with the game... but there was the moment I was dreading.

A 25th new level in this expansion, called Krogoth Encounter.

Krogoths are the superbots I mentioned at the end of the first
campaign, where you got 1 and got to pretty much demolish the enemy
base with it.

Krogoth Encounter can only be played on hard, on a huge map, and the
enemy has two factories building Krogoths nonstop.
It's... a nightmare, to be honest. The first assault waves come very
soon, and the airwaves are quite overwhelming. But you need to
survive and build up before the Krogoths start coming.

I was very much in doubt whether I'd even attempt the thing, but
after reading up a bit about it it seemed doable.

Had a few rough starts though, and had to reload a few times
[8:53 PM]
Krogoth Encounter takes place on Core Prime terrain, which means
maximum metal in every little piece of terrain.
[8:53 PM]
Which means basically unlimited resources from the start as you
start building your extractors and solar collectors for energy.
[8:54 PM]
And it's needed too! You need to build those missile vehicles fast
and in large numbers. For the first time I built 3 vehicle factories
from the start, and started pumping them out to face the enemy
airwaves.

At the same time I blocked off the eastern entrances with barricades
which the AI won't go for, called Dragon's Teeth, which is almost
too much but really really useful on this map. That said, it took
several restarts before I had them built on time.

Other than that it's just pumping out more and more vehicles while
slamming down missile towers everywhere, while working on the next
resource tier so I got enough resources for mass production...
followed by making airplanes from multiple factories. I have 2 out
of 4 running now, and they're slowly conquering the map.

Krogoths are a pain though, at this point, as they swat planes out
of the sky easily and take a lot of hits.

My strategy for them so far is to throw vehicles at them to get
one-shotted so I can get my commander close up with the D-gun, the
only weapon in the game that destroys anything in one hit.

Before it takes out my commander, which is pretty risky... since an
exploding Krogoth takes out anything in the vicinity including about
a quarter of my commander's health.

So those are the most dangerous moments, but as long as I can sweep
everything else with my planes, I think I've already won
[8:59 PM]
And then I'm finally done with Total Annihilation! I could
check my list to see what's next - after I write a new WoW character
biography - but I kinda want to surprise myself
