Faramir, and the grandbaby for his birthday. We also stopped by in
Texas to see Meriadoc for his birthday.

The Anvil of Winterstith is the name of that raid.
Of course bugs hit right away, but only at the ends of the
instances. At least mainly there.
The quest Bundle for Woodhall has been temporarily locked due to a
bug preventing quest completion.
The Anvil of Winterstith has been temporarily closed while they
investigate and resolve a bug.
I imagine the Devs will be sweating those pretty hard.

The raid had just gone up. The live run in the main servers showed
the problems, so they have the fun of fixing it while being flamed
in the forums, of course. I am happy that they are working on it.
New Ironfold Quests: Náin the Slakeless has need of your assistance
in the Ironfold! Players must have completed the Ironfold quest The
Lord of Iron in order to unlock this new quest content, which begins
with Beneath the Fold. These quests are level 120.
The quest chain called The Secret of the Council has returned to
Moria. Players can find the map somewhere within Moria's depths to
begin the quest.
Weekly Raid Skirmish quests are once again able to be completed.

of the middle book of the Lord of the Rings?

Actually I went through the Letters at one point to find an
answer to that, and as it turns out the title was not one of
Tolkien's suggestions and not even he was sure which two towers they
really were.
But there's various options, of course.

One of the nifty things when considering Minas Tirith is that there
were two towers named Minas Tirith, hah.
So it already had a double identity - makes me think it would be a
good candidate for one tower, while the one opposite it , as
you mentioned, is Barad-dur.

The Numenoreans seemed fond of using Elvish names for people and
places, and used Quenya more than the elves did at the time of the
trilogy.

Starcraft II:
As said, phase 1 of the new war chest complete. Phase 2 opens in up
a few days.
Diablo 3:
Season 15 fully over now, I visited my Crusader who's now non-season
and got the stuff out of the mail from the season-stash. She'll be
where she is for now, and when Season 16 starts later this week,
I'll get started on the Necromancer.
Hearthstone:
Pushing along, a few classes are approaching the next level. Warlock
and rogue a bit behind but they'll get there. Brawl this week was
one where you had to build a deck using only specific past expansion
packs, so got a bit weird. I grabbed a cheap mech hunter deck from
the internet, which was apparently so popular that I ended up facing
2 people also using mech hunter. After destroying the second one's
early advantage, he conceded pretty soon, so that was nice
Also got a quest for the monster hunt, which I poked a bit. Got a
decent run with Crowley, though if it'll be enough to beat the
entire hunt... maybe we'll find out next time I get the qeust?

Oh, and I got a new legendary from Classic, Captain Greenskin, the
pirate legendary. When the reward quest was still going, that might

Heroes of the Storm:
No new levels. Had some Sylvanas matches, the recent changes to her
still annoy me, but starting to get better at a shadow dagger build.
About halfway through the second round of the boardgame event. Still
bad luck with the dice and the quests. But I'll just keep going and
see where I end up.
Brawl was the Industrial District. Single lane, but with lots of
conveyor belts around. Lost 2 pretty badly, but turned the last one
around at the end. Got to pick Zagara for that one, luckily
So yeah, still 327. Maybe I'll get some more levels next week
instead!
WoW:
Raiding still continuing, doing Uldir a few more times before
Dazar'alor comes in. Getting some new appearances and possibly some
warforged or titanforged upgrades. Got my missing dagger from Zul
today, leaving just a staff from G'huun himself. We'll see if it
drops before we leave the place behind. If not, there's always
possible future attempts.
Expeditions have been good to me! Got 2 pets and 1 mount from the
same expedition, and another pet earlier that week. Thistlebrush Bud
from the earlier one, Playful Frostkin and Baby Stonehide from the
second, with the Stonehide Elderhorn mount alongside it. So got the
big one and the small one at the same time
Still doing world quests. Emissaries, warfront zones and pet battle
WQs, as well as a couple of new ones normally.
Emissaries/Paragon: Got my first Paragon rewards, both from Order of
Embers, both in the same supply cache. Again lucky. The Cobalt Raven
pet, and the Bewitching Tea Set toy. The toy is fun, setting up a
tea set, and whoever drinks from it gets whispered by the creepy
Drustvar girl, Abby Lewis, for the duration of the buff.
Unfortunately, the very night after I got the toy, they nerfed the
cooldown from none to 15 minutes
I assume that wasn't a personal aim at me by Blizzard, but it is a
suspicious coincidence...
Pet battle WQs: 100% on beast, completed achievement for dragon, and
started on magic with a few. Got a bunch more pet charms along the
way, finally, so I've got a bit of a budget for leveling pets
again, hopefully it won't be needed. Among the fights was
facing the shark quest in Tiragarde with an elemental team...
supposedly a nightmare, taking people dozens of tries, but I got
lucky enough to get it in 3.
So maybe that's the hardest one of the entire achievement over with
As for warfront world quests, first goal reached! Got the 200
service medals for my new Azureshell Krolusk mount. Quite happy with
that, the way it walks and jumps and roars... mouth reminds me a bit
of a muppet. So I'm happily travelling on that through Kul Tiras and
Zandalar and jumping around in Boralus. And as a bonus, buying the
blue one on Alliance also gives the red one for free on Horde, which
I tested with my troll moonkin. That one looks quite good as well,
and perfectly blends in in Orgrimmar.
Next up, saving for the flying saber... but that is a lot more
expensive. Still, almost at 50 medals... out of 750
But the krolusks are good enough
Was hoping to start the war campaign, but something got in the
way...
Grinding honor! I finally decided on which catform I want to use
when season 2 comes around, themed for the new Dazar'alor raid...
and turns out it's the third pvp-skin, which required an honor level
of 50.
Luckily, I was already nearly at 49. Honor grinding is slow, but
spent the last few days poking battlegrounds, as well as arenas for
the weekly quest. With the honor bonus for the week, it's gone a lot
better than I feared, and am now at the edge of level 50. If I just
do one arena tomorrow, win or lose, I'll be there and will have the
new cat and bear forms.
With that additional distraction along the way, the war campaign
beckons... hopefully...
Oh, and finally I can mention that patch 8.1.5 went on the testing
server this week, which meant a lot of data getting released. Among
them the new pets-from-old-raids achievement, this time for the
early Mists of Pandaria raids, with the final reward being a
Sha-ling, cuter than any Sha should be allowed to be... will enjoy
going for that Also more information on the upcoming allied
races, Kul Tiran and Zandalari!
So you can look that up if you want, including Kul Tiran jokes and
flirts
