Thank you for the gaming news; it's a huge help.
Eonwe Valar - Last Sunday at 3:54 PM
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers in and of the guild :}
Varda - Last Sunday at 3:55 PM
Thanks for letting them come out and play!
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 3:56 PM
Hurrah for mothers! Don't know where we'd be without them.
Eonwe Valar - Last Sunday at 3:56 PM
Ack, one sec, gotta shut down Discord for a minute.
Varda - Last Sunday at 3:56 PM
sure
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 3:57 PM
Huzzah for future mothers too. Good friend of mine in WoW should've
been one by now, but kid is already nearly 2 weeks late at this point,
and my best friend is due end of July / start of August.
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:01 PM
Yikes. Bet they're really ready to have them by now.
Well - time for us to have a bouncing baby meeting, too.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:01 PM
Yep. On pills and everything. But until it happens she's still happily
getting achievements with me, we worked on the Sentinax together this
afternoon
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:03 PM
Very nice
Pokage done
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:06 PM

Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:06 PM
I used a long stick.
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:06 PM
Smart
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:06 PM
It came back charred.
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:07 PM
heh. Lucky it came back. And your hand.
Very brave
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:07 PM
Depends on how long the stick is.
ArienV - Last Sunday at 4:08 PM

You might enjoy the Mother's Day pic on the News of Rosie and Sam.

Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:32 PM
I could mention that the biggest song festival of Europe, Eurovision, was this week.. lots of music enjoyment, so look it up if you want some new songs to listen to
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:32 PM
Nice.
Did you go?
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:32 PM
Nah. We just follow it on tv.
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:33 PM
But we can hear some of the music from that site? So that would be something we can all do.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:33 PM
It's a contest, really.

Ioreth - Last Sunday at 4:36 PM
Blizzard (Warcraft et all) had
a registration day for their fall 'con in California and there is
another date (can't remember) for registration soon. I expect it will
sell out as usual. Last year's airships for the virtual attendees were
sure kinda fun looking. I didn't get any. I haven't seen anything for
this year.
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:36 PM
Thanks, Ioreth! and hi
Elrond - Last Sunday at 4:37 PM
Blizzcon.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:37 PM
From what I've seen, two batches of Blizzcon tickets have already sold out.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 4:38 PM
No place I would go, too many people would cause panic attack. I did
wish I had bought the virtual last year, those airships are fun.
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:39 PM
Sounds like a nifty workaround
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:39 PM
I got myself a Darkmoon zeppelin mount, that was good enough
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 4:40 PM
They did balloon day in WoW this week... I never could seem to find
anyone to ride with (requires 3) then I forgot about them. I love the
balloon ride on Tatooine in SWTOR
Elrond - Last Sunday at 4:41 PM
The company I work for, we provide the graphics and some of the carpet. I usually design the carpet for it every year.
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:41 PM
Way cool.
ArienV - Last Sunday at 4:41 PM
ah i forgot about that
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 4:43 PM
Carpet?
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:50 PM
Guess we lost Elrond for telling us more about that.

Tolkien!
Bravery. It comes in many forms and JRRT gives us plenty of them.
Here's one we might not think of automatically:
"And he took her in his arms and kissed her under the sunlit sky, and
he cared not that they stood high upon the walls in the sight of many.”
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:51 PM
Faramir and Eowyn?
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:51 PM
Aye
Doesn't have to be a quote, but would you folks like to give some other examples?
JRRT showed special admiration for the Nordic style of bravery. What was one example?
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:53 PM
Sam was quite brave, but I wonder how much of that is simply loyalty to a fault
Not sure what you mean by nordic.
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:53 PM
That gets into where is the wellspring of bravery, another marvelous topic.
Boromir's hopeless sacrifice to protect the hobbits from the horde of
orcs, redeeming himself for falling to the Ring's influence and
attacking Frodo for it. [Note: Meant as an example of Nordic storytelling.]
Eonwe Valar - Last Sunday at 4:55 PM
Ok, time for me to be off. Take care all, good night, sleep well, and have fun :}
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:56 PM
Namarie!
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:56 PM
Sam's amazing bravery in helping Frodo despite everything was JRRT's
homage to the yeoman for officers in the British army where he served.
Namarie, Eonwe. : )
So there's three types already.
Your point was a good one, about where the bravery came from.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 4:57 PM
Namarie Eonwe
ArienV - Last Sunday at 4:57 PM
Namarie Eonwe
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:57 PM
Hobbits as a whole tended to be quite brave. Always willing to leave
alone and be left alone, but eager to help out their friends in the
face of danger, and willing to defend their lands when rallied,
assuming they had a chance.
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:57 PM
Gandalf going against the Balrog, for instance, dying in that victory. Not knowing if he would be coming back.
True. Wasn't that Farmer Cotton that stood in front of all those
Ruffians, as bait so they came together in one place that the hobbits
could attack?
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 4:59 PM
Sounds about right.
Varda - Last Sunday at 4:59 PM
Rosie came from good stock. : )
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:00 PM
Aragorn went up against all nine Nazgul at Weathertop.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:00 PM
Going into a haunted cave to find ghostly allies is quite brave.
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:01 PM
Aye
And Gimli, despite great fear, followed Aragorn into that haunted cave.
Merry, captive of orcs, made light of his injury out of compassion for his friend, Pippin.
Legolas, despite believing that Galadriel's prophecy meant that he would die going against the Corsairs, went anyway.
Pippin, to defend his friend, attacked a terrible troll.
friend, Beregond.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:04 PM
A lot of bravery here comes from wanting to help and defend your
friends in a situation that you're convinced is probably going to kill
you.
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:05 PM
The brave deeds came from the heart, for something greater than themselves.
Aye
Trying to save your friends.
Frodo went up against that which was unwinnable to try to save the Shire and the world that he discovered on his journey.
and all those amazing people he met along the way.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:07 PM
Making new friends you want to protect
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:07 PM
It's the end of the hour, so the official meeting is coming to a close.
Please feel free to add to these thoughts in the After-meeting or just
in chat with each other.
Aye. Discovering yet more good in the world not even known of in the beginning.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:08 PM
There can be a fine line between brave and reckless... do we have any recklessness?
Or is that for another time?
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:08 PM
Charging ahead with no idea what they're getting into? Pippin at Rivendell?
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:09 PM
Turin was reckless all the time.
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:09 PM
He had every excuse to stay behind.
Recklessness seems to be akin to not thinking things through, sometimes only thinking of one part of it or just themselves?
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:10 PM
Part of it is underestimating or ignoring the risks.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 5:10 PM
"Greater love has no man than this, that he lays down his life for a
friend." and there was also a saying about a common bond
strengthening all and another something about those who had the desire
could win over any odds (can't remember the source of those second two
- you can guess the first) ((on the prior topic - not reclessness))
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:11 PM
Not knowing enough to be afraid? Or not thinking it through with the same result?
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:11 PM
He who abandons a friend and runs away, lives to save another friend another day?
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:11 PM
Love, the force from the heart that leads to the great deeds.
"Deeds will not be less valiant because they are unpraised."
That last was a JRRT quote. I said the one above.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:14 PM
It did sound familiar.
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:14 PM
the hammer pogosticks to the hammerpad
k-pop!
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:14 PM
Korean pop?
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:14 PM

Thank you. Never heard of it.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:16 PM
Gangnam style is the most well known example these days.
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:16 PM
heh. The Israeli that won the Eurovision Song Contest has a Gangam style song too, just saw it.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:17 PM
It does have some k-pop influences, perhaps
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:17 PM
*Gangnam
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 5:18 PM
They talked a lot about K-Pop during the Olympic coverage.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:18 PM
Makes sense.
Varda - Last Sunday at 5:18 PM
and I didn't watch that either. Good to come to meetings to be educated! Thanks. Now reading up on Gangnam style, hah.
Gangnam being a region in South Korea where there are very rich people,
so that's the style. Tells the kind of guy he is and what he is looking
for in the girls there, and painting caricatures of the kinds of people
there. Oppa means elder brother.
Trivia inserted here. ; )
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:21 PM
hehe
ArienV - Last Sunday at 5:21 PM
oh yeah gangam stile
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:33 PM
Hunting for some flashgames.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 5:33 PM
ah
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 5:44 PM
Right! Personal gaming report!
Flashgaming:
http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/dark_soil
is the first game! Supposedly a combination of Dark Souls and
gardening, but I've not played the former so I wouldn't know. You plant
an evil garden with plants that attack you and spawn mobs that follow
you. Kill the mobs for xp and new seeds to plant more plants, gain
levels for increased stats and weapon upgrades.
Dark Soil - OneMoreLevel.com
I'm not sure if there's an end goal, but see how far you get before you die
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:00 PM
http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/total_recoil
is the second game! A weird little action game where enemies come from
the left or right, shooting in one direction sends you recoiling in the
other direction. So you need to act quick and make sure you're not
blasted back onto an enemy. Collect coins to get new characters with
different (usually higher) stats.
Total Recoil - OneMoreLevel.com
http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/pixel_rally_3d
is the last game for the week. A simple racing game, beat tougher and
tougher races, buy better cars from your winnings, get the achievements.
Pixel Rally 3D - OneMoreLevel.com

Hearthstone: 6 classes to level 54 now. Last 3 should follow soon. Golden basic cards are starting to become the more useful ones
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:12 PM
Someday I'll learn to play that... lol
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:12 PM
Noblegarden tavern brawl! You get a new egg on the board every round,
and paints from your deck that give eggs certain abilities when they
crack open on the next turn, such as taunt and lifesteal, usually
spawning a relevant minion. If you don't use paint on an egg, it turns
into a bunny. Fun, but a bit unbalanced; the player who draws and uses
the Carrots card first usually gets a big advantage, as it buffs your
minions, and double buffs any bunnies you have.
For the Monster Hunt, I got the quest for the hunter hero done, and
started on the mage hero, the Time Tinker. Haven't actually completed
the hunt for any but the first hero so far, but that's fine, as long as
my wins count for the quest. Maybe one day I'll put some real effort
into beating it with all 4, but I don't really see that as a priority.
Heroes of the Storm: One level
gained with Genji, 274 overall now. Not much progress on that front,
then, but still having fun! Bloodlust brawl this week, the Dragon Shire
map where random heroes occasionally get the Bloodlust buff. A bit
luck-based, perhaps
Still fun though.
WoW:
Still doing some old raids, same as before but now mostly for a few
mounts rather than pets. Down to only 3 raids though, 2 of them really
quick, so we're done in like 40 minutes.
Current raids also still going, we cleared entire heroic Antorus in 2
nights this week. Unless we manage to get a stable group of around 20
people going for mythic attempts, that's probably a good indication of
how raiding will go for the rest of the expansion.
ArienV - Last Sunday at 6:21 PM
right good luck with that  its bed time for me now i fear before i fall asleep yawns
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:21 PM
Namarie
ArienV - Last Sunday at 6:22 PM
Namarie
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:24 PM
I did get my best chestpiece for feral spec, though, from heroic Argus,
that was nice  Other than that I'm just throwing seals of fate
at bosses I'm lacking appearances from now, since there are no more big
improvements to get for me other than warforged and titanforged gear.
I also got my second-last druid legendary from that boss, and proceeded
to buy my last one that same night because I had the essences for it
 One collection complete, anything new will be different
legendary class-tokens for my alts, but I'm not too bothered about
that. Maybe I'll level them through Legion one day and let them get the
legendaries themselves, I do believe they will still be obtainable
within the right content, though they lose their legendary powers at
116.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:27 PM
My friends I used to play with in WoW are doing other things, two
paired up with each other exclusively and another is doing Beta while
waiting for cancer treatment. I didn't get a beta invite so I'm left
out. I have 110 hunter, druid, shaman on Horde and 110 hunter and soon
110 druid on Ali. Going to run a cloth wearer of some sort up to 110
after the ali druid
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:27 PM
And that's not the only raiding I did: I took a stab at soloing mythic
Gruul in Blackrock Foundry, from the previous expansion, for a
chestpiece I was still missing to complete my transmog. Had been
planning to find farming groups for it throughout the Legion expansion,
but now I figured I'd just try it alone.
Ah, leveling alts  One way to pass the time, though I'd rather get more weird achievements done on my main.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:28 PM
my Horde hunter and druid are up over 900, I think my druid is over 920 on all specs
shaman got a 930 set piece out of Argus LFR the first time in, and her
second legendary the first time on Broken shore (first was that one
from Argus)
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:30 PM
Oh, that reminds me, I did get a beta invite in the e-mail for some
reason, I didn't even know I had set myself eligible... but I'm not
sure I'll try it. I've been reading up on reports and datamined stuff
through wowhead and mmo-champion, but unlike Legion (when I didn't get
into beta) there's not really anything that I'm eager to test out for
myself. I'll probably just wait for the actual release.
I'm around 960 on all my druid specs now. Put some work into getting
gear for all specs so I could complete the tower challenges relatively
easily.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:31 PM
first section is leveling from 110 to 120, no transfers. I understand
that the Orcs were broke when they started. Haven't heard a report this
week. The Orcs you did the opening quests and then they stalled and
didn't progress, we've seen that one before
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:32 PM
Bugs on the beta? Who'd have guessed
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:32 PM
So no idea where the starter area for the Dwarves or the Orcs are, at
least my friend doesn't know. They'll probably open that part of
testing after they get the 110-->120 thing worked on
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:33 PM
The allied races? Yeah, probably.
Mag'har orcs introduction story had a rather extreme story development,
which is weird for a scenario which you'll only do once per account.
I'll give no spoilers, but I am curious whether we'll hear more of that
specific situation later on in the new expansion or the one after that.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:34 PM
I'd love to get my druid higher ilevel, but I'm so slow and of course
LFR only helps so much. I think I have her over 930 on heal set
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:35 PM
Yep, being a normal/heroic difficulty raider really helps with gear,
funnily enough! But if you can't get more than LFR, try focusing on
mythic 5-man dungeons, there's some really good gear you might get from
higher keystones.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:35 PM
I was noticing a nest of black iron dwarves in the swamplands north of
the dam (can't remember the name of that place) so I'm woundering if
their start area will be near there in the eastern kingdoms
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:36 PM
Wetlands? Possibly. I also know they're getting a foothold in Nazmir, I think.
Or some other Zandalar zone.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:37 PM
Nazmir? Not sure I even know where that is, I haven't been to that raid area since before cata
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:37 PM
No, Nazmir is a Zandalar zone in the new expansion
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:37 PM
located on the original world or someplace else?
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:38 PM
The new continents.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:38 PM
didn't know there was room to put any more... hehe
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:38 PM
Always room for a continent or 2
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:38 PM
the "new" silithid area is kinda boring atm, and of course they are doing that time splitting thing all over the place
was flying a friend's low level around getting flight points and it go
really interesting when I flew over one of those places with the time
splitting. I ended up landing and walking in. then had to figure out
where her body was... lol
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:44 PM
Hehe, right, for a lower level that time splitting doesn't happen yet.
Anyway, back to Gruul! First time I went after him was on monday,
during the previous reset. Got killed first time, then made myself some
drums for heroism, and defeated him. Did not get the chest I was after.
Second time was on saturday, figured I'd forget the drums and use my
restoration affinity better, healing myself a few more times. Killed
him in one try, and got the chestpiece I was after. So that is finally
done!
Most of the rest of the week was spent working on more achievements!
Started with the Naxt Victim achievement, killing all the lieutenants
from the Sentinax using a complex system of beacons and portals.
Started out rather slow, then I did some research and found out you can
easily get greater beacons of specific kinds by waiting until the
Disruptor is up on the Broken Shore, searching out unstable portals,
and killing the rares there. So I had to postpone that until the
weekend.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:52 PM
What level you doing Gruul? The 25 man one in Outlands? I solo'd him
the other day, can't remember what I wanted, something cosmetic I
think. Did Lich King solo for the mount as well, nada.
I'm still trying to get that mount from OLD Karazan
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:53 PM
Then I decided to craft myself the leather legendary boots. I'd
made some for my alt DH before, but she can't wear them yet, so this
time I made them for myself, the druid, to unlock the appearance and
really have every druid legendary. It also means that each of my 3
night elves has a crafted legendary now, nice little family business.
No, the one in Warlords of Draenor, mythic difficulty, as I said earlier.
The one in Outland I can one-shot with an auto-attack by now
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:53 PM
It's the strangest thing doing Gruul (Outlands) or Ony solo and remember all the trouble we had running them pre-Cata
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:54 PM
Yep, that's how it works. Can also easily solo Arthas in Wrath, and 2 or 3-man Dragon Soul every week.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:54 PM
I've duo'd that one before. Friend was on his DK and I was druid heals/dps
I hooked up with a young fellow one day (get this, he played Vanilla at
age 5) and watched him clear some of the Broken Shores dungeons in
Normal with no heals on a DH, wild. I really need to go and try that.
It would give me more confidence.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:57 PM
Demon Hunters can be quite interesting, yes
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:57 PM
I was on 100 druid, I stood back and tossed an occaissional cure
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:58 PM
Anyway, speaking of being overgeared, part of getting the materials for
those legendary boots requires defeating Xavius in the Emerald
Nightmare raid. LFR queue was pretty much dead at the time, so I joined
a heroic pug for it instead. Turns out it's really really easy at 950
or higher ilevel gear, and we didn't even really need tactics. Always
fun to see how you've improved over the course of an expansion.
And just like that, my druid legendary collection was truly complete!
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:58 PM
I know I could probably tank those, but I'm too chicken to queue tank in LFR
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:59 PM
Start with 5-mans, and when you go raiding, learn the tactics.
Especially when to taunt, where to turn the bosses, and where the adds
come from you need to pick up.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 6:59 PM
I have something like 6-7 legendaries on that druid and only use about
4 of them across all specs. I just equip whatever it is Mr. Robot tells
me to
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 6:59 PM
If you can do that as a LFR tank, you're pretty much there already.
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:01 PM
Kosumoth pet WQ was up again this week, third time in a row. So I
killed him again and got a third specimen of the pet. Only really need
one, but after so many months of that quest not happening I just kept
killing him out of spite. Can't have more than 3 of a pet, though, so
I'm done with that now
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:01 PM
I'm too chicken to try... I think I know the fights, I've healed them
on normal and even heroic enough times... I just need to do it. but I
was gone a while and the guild I used to run with no longer does
"learner" raids, they just do mythics and such
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:01 PM
Well, that's what LFR is for.
Ultimately it's up to you, though. I can't help you find your courage.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:02 PM
I can just see it now, someone will think I'm too slow and vote my butt
out. Happened again the other day. They SAID I was AFK and I wasn't
The young fellow I mentioned was tanking it, and he really didn't need
any help. He quit when they did it, I guess they found out
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:03 PM
In LFR?
hah, right
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:03 PM
just generic dungeon
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:03 PM
Oh, right. Those are rather different, especially when the rest of the party is really rushing it.
LFR should be more forgiving when it comes to pace, as long as you don't lag behind too far.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:03 PM
I learned more watching that guy solo it then when I'm in LFR or random groups
timewalking was brutal the other day, had no fewer than 6 different people in one outlands dungeon
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:05 PM
Oh yes, timewalking is really harsh now since they introduced the
scaling. It affected TW in a really odd way. Most people I used to go
in with have just stopped trying. So I just pug it now.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:06 PM
I tried to do the raid in a pug, never been as I quit playing about the
time it was opened and came back after everyone moved on. I think I did
6 bosses with that group and whe simply ran out of time. I have no idea
how many bosses are in there, I think I'll go on my druid and explore it
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:07 PM
Which raid? Nightmare? That's 7 bosses.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:08 PM
One of the people I used to run with won't even return my hello's any
more. He won't do something if it isn't heroic Argus or Mythic+15
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:08 PM
Ouch.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:09 PM
the one that was outlands, shadowlands... with Illidin at the end or something. We do the Illidin story thing for Legion
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:09 PM
Oh, the timewalk raid.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:09 PM
we quit at the six-armed lady
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:09 PM
Black Temple. Right.
2 more bossfights after six-armed lady.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:10 PM
that's the one, sorry I'm not remembering the names very good. darn allergies just zap my mind
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:10 PM
's fine
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:12 PM
I'm such a chicken, I thought I did pretty good actually finding a
group with the looking for group thing. And I'm so slow and out of
practice. Why do people hurry so much anyway?
lately I leveled my ali hunter to 110 so I could unlock the new races,
I haven't even done the Argus LFR yet, I should, that's a free legendary
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:14 PM
It happens sometimes. I run a heroic Vault of the Wardens every day for
a really elusive leatherworking pattern, though I and usually most of
the party vastly outgear it by now. We usually hurry things along, and
if people are slow, there will be comments from someone.
I always try to wait, though.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:15 PM
I ask questions. I always have. When I was in the officer school I got
"counselled" by a tac officer - he said when we say jump you are
supposed to jump, not ask how high, how often, and in which
direction.... lol
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:16 PM
Heh, that doesn't sound for me.
Like any place I'd belong, I mean.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:17 PM
when I got back into wow this last time there was a fight where someone
told me to stand in the colored circles in one fight. Nobody had told
me that there was a buff if you stood in the circles, I just out of
habbit moved out of any circle my feet where standing in.
there's a couple fights in SWTOR like that too
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:18 PM
They told you in advance to stand in them?
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:19 PM
no, they asked me why I wasn't staying in the circles. the GTFO didn't
go off but I just moved out. turned out to be some type of heal or
something that I was supposed to stand in...
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:19 PM
Ah.
Ioreth - Last Sunday at 7:19 PM
not my fault some of the good stuff and bad stuff share the same color circles in these games. TOR is really bad that way
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 7:22 PM
Right, continuing my business for the last week, my next project was collecting missing weapon enchants/illusions.
I went through the list of what I was missing, and it was basically 3
things: Half a dozen raidbosses from Pandaria to the Nighthold in
Legion, 2 faction vendor reputation items, and a whole bunch from
Enchanter-made tomes of illusions for various expansions.
So I went to the auction house, got a whole bunch of mats for those
tomes, poked some friendly enchanters and got all those made and
obtained
After which I visited the reputation vendors and got those.
The last ones I'll get later on as part of my appearance-runs for those same bosses, I'm sure.
Then I started the next project, Underbelly Tycoon! Collecting 20000
sightless eyes from the Dalaran sewers. Mostly gotten through pvp, or
from rare mobs and chests, usually which you have to pvp for. You can
also spend them to get waves of mobs to spawn which also drop them. And
there's also patterns and pets you can get.
After one night I got up to about 4000, got both pets, all the possible
leatherworking patterns (I've got all Legion rank 3 recipes now except
the one from heroic Vault of the Wardens, so annoying that it won't
drop) and a good feel for what to buy and how to go about it to make it
go easier.
My favorite things to buy there for spending eyes and spawning mobs to
get more eyes, is the stealthed assassins. Gotta sneak around and find
them, mostly hiding at the edges of the room.
If you can get a nice group together, though, pvp is certainly a better option.
And then finally, this weekend, the Disruptor was up, so I could work
on the Sentinax achievement I mentioned earlier! Flying around with the
friend I also mentioned way earlier in the meeting, we got a little
group together, disrupting a lot of portals, gathering a lot of
beacons, and killing 5 out of the 6 lieutenants for the achievement. We
didn't have any luck with getting the summoning beacon for the sixth,
though, but I managed to pug that later after the raid tonight. So now
that achievement is done too! But if my friend wants to continue for
that last boss I'll surely help out, though she'll be busy enough with
other things soon...
Like I had planned, lots of new achievements and side projects being
gotten in the final months of Legion. I did add the Ashran achievements
to my to-do list, though, because the battleground is going away in the
next expansion, and the things I'm missing shouldn't be too hard to get.
Strand of the Ancients is also going away, but the achievements I need
there are really difficult and annoying and requiring a lot of luck
(and a lot of grind, I'd need like 70 victories) so I'll probably not
do that and maybe see if it comes back one day.
Next week, more sightless eyes; with a lot of luck I'll have the Ratstallion mount at the end
And that's my report for the week!
Oh, and as an aside, I completed gathering all the seeds for the garden
in the Cookie Clicker flashgame... and then sacrificed the entire
seedlog for an achievement and getting a buff for cost, maturation rate
and droprate for upgrades from the plants. So now I'm unlocking them
all again for the second and last time
Ar-Pharazon-V - Last Sunday at 8:07 PM
And just played my first match as Gul'dan in Heroes of the Storm since the last patch. The already quite powerful lifedrain build I use for him got slightly buffed, making it even more fun!
Namarie!
Varda - Last Sunday at 9:11 PM
Namarie
Varda - Last Sunday at 10:34 PM
Grats to Aranuir. The new sound card seems to have fixed his computer problem. : )
