Blizzard games:
Hearthstone: Lunara unlocked by winning 10 standard games! Now I can go back to wild games for wins and standard games for other quests. My standard decks had a tough time winning :smiley:
Lunara is the new druid hero, to be clear.
Also started the monster hunt quests, starting with the tracker, Tess Graymane, who is basically a rogue with some special abilities. Doing quite well, won 6 games in a row, though they're getting harder. Not sure if I'll beat the entire monster hunt on the first try. But the quest just needs 10 wins, so can always start over.
Being a rogue, winning games there gives rogue xp. As such, it was the first class for me to reach level 54. A bit ahead of the others for obvious reasons, but I'm sure the rest will catch up when the quest is over.
Brawl is also Witchwood based, at least in opening description... themed decks for each class using the new cards, "brewed" by the witch Hagatha. Rather fun if you can work with each theme. The mage, for example, is elemental based.
Heroes of the Storm: Level 271 now, got one new level on Sergeant Hammer, I think. Still think it's one of the most fun heroes I'm currently actively using, especially against the AI.
Brawl was an old one, temple arena, where you have to control temple grounds to shoot at the enemy core, need to win 2 out of 3 rounds.
Not much special, but I did end up having to use a bunch of heroes I wasn't familiar with. But it was fun to get some testing in with Zul'jin, Cassia and Jaina.

Nothing new for our old raids, though we got one player (who's not around every week) almost done with the legendary staff from the Firelands, just 4 essences short out of 250, and then the questitem from Ragnaros. Next time she's available we'll finish that, and then we can really leave Firelands behind.
Bit more heroic difficulty Antorus raiding too, clearing every boss except the Coven because we didn't have the crowd control. But with both shortcuts unlocked, skipping them didn't mean we couldn't proceed with the bosses after it :smiley:
Got a raid quest done while there from the class hall missions, the reward of which was the final life relic I was missing on my restoration weapon... but a few days too late!
Because the mage tower was up from wednesday onward for a few days, and I had enough essences for my last restoration legendary, the belt... which was enough for me to try my last druid artifact challenge, the restoration/healing challenge.
Being rather severely overgeared at 956 ilevel, I first took a few shots at it on wednesday evening, making good practice on the first phase, which is the hardest, with a lot of adds to deal with. And I'm not used to healing at all, so that was kinda tough to get used to rotations and stuff (tip: Wild Growth is your friend).
Got through that phase once, during that attempt I broke straight through to phase 5 out of 7 before accidentally losing an npc in that phase, which fails the scenario.

So I set aside the next few afternoons and evenings, deciding I would get more practice in and hopefully get it before the tower went away again for the week.
And I logged in on thursday afternoon to give it a good couple of tries. And to my surprise, after weeks if not months of gear preparation and occasional guide-studying, I was rather surprised to find myself going through the entire thing in a single attempt, finishing it in about 15-20 minutes!
Died in last phase myself, but as long as the npcs finish the final boss you still win.
And so I got my final druid artifact challenge appearance, a nice owl model for the restoration staff :smiley:
Now the only appearances I'm missing for the druid are the final 2 prestige appearances. I might work on a bit of an honor-grind later in this expansion, but the prestige appearances will be available to obtain after the next expansion comes, so the time pressure is gone.
As for other classes... none of my alts are maxed level, nor was I planning on maxing any of them out for the few appearances that go away when patch 8.0 launches, since that would also require a lot of gear and/or a lot of practice in getting to know every detail of the class and spec. So yeah, I'm not worried about those, it was never going to happen anyway.
Anyway, that's not the only project I've finished/gotten progress on!
I also got the Field Medic achievement, for finding all the queststarters (and doing the quests, but that's trivial) related to First Aid in legion. Saved the Val'sharah zone for last, which was apparently the easiest and fastest, as you can kill a lot of sprites really fast in the furbolg village in the southeast corner, if you're in a group. Got all 3 queststarters in pretty short time, getting me the achievement and a new title :smiley:
That's also the last first aid achievement I was missing, and with the profession going away with patch 8.0, there won't be any new ones. So I'm done with first aid.
Fishing going well! After joining some Suramar fishing raids on days when the Suramar fisherfriend was up, last monday and today on sunday (it's a 6-day rotation) I got 2 more traits on my fishing pole artifact. Only one more to go, which only requires 47k more artifact power (out of 82k), which I aim to get on saturday, maxing out the fishing pole at last.
Also started another project, the Brawler's Guild! I assumed that one would take me quite a while, but after the first evening I'd already gotten several achievements and the little gronn pet, made it to rank 7 out of 8, with only 3 more matches to go, and I'm quite overgeared for it so those shouldn't be much of a problem, and gotten 6 out of 7 rumbles won for the rumble club achievement. Only one more remaining, and it's a tough one, the Stranglethorn Streak. Will need some more attempts at those, it's a matter of avoiding the enemies rather than fighting them, hoping that one person in the group will survive the full 2 minutes. Can be exploited by a class with a pet like a warlock or hunter, but I'm not one of those. But who knows, might group up with one yet :smiley:
So one more rumble, 3 more standard fights, the 10 random fights which shouldn't be too hard, and then just a matter of gathering up 20000 brawler's gold, and then I'll have all the achievements for this season's brawler's guild as well.
And finally! With my 13th WoW anniversary this past week, and my birthday next week, I decided to treat myself to a shop-bought mount, Shu-Zen, the fluffy dog :smiley:
I'd already decided to get one to use on my dark iron shaman in BfA, but got it now already as a celebratory gift to myself. It's really unique, and quite lovable. Looking at it a bit closer, it had a bit less red and more yellow than I thought it did, which means it should also fit the upcoming Lightforged alt as well, and making me wonder if I should give my Dark Iron blonde hair rather than red to match it.
And that's my news for this week!
