later when I edit: May 21 transcript starts here.
Varda Valar (22:37:40): Also in Discord
Varda Valar (22:37:46): Good idea.
Eonwe Valar (22:37:56): Salutations :}
Varda Valar (22:38:11): Good to see you all. :)
Elladan (22:40:03): I'm half here
Elladan (22:40:17): I fell twice out of my chair and
I am very sore
Varda Valar (22:40:22): In LotRO and Discord at the
moment.
Ar-Pharazon-V (22:40:29): Unstable chair?
Varda Valar (22:40:30): Quit that, Elladan!
Elladan (22:41:56): nope, really bad spasms
Varda Valar (22:48:39): No meds for that?
Varda Valar (22:48:59): or massage gadget maybe?
Elladan (22:50:39): I'm on a few different meds
Elladan (22:50:59): it's due to the spinal reflex.
Common occurrence in paraplegics
Elladan (22:51:07): I got sucked back into wow! :)
Varda Valar (22:51:10): So, maybe a seat belt.
Ar-Pharazon-V (22:51:11): Huzzah!
Eonwe Valar (22:51:14): Afk for a moment.
Varda Valar (22:51:16): Did you get into Lothar?
Ar-Pharazon-V (22:51:17): Azeroth welcomes you.
Elladan (22:51:22): hah yep!
Varda Valar (22:51:30): Welcome home :)
Elladan (22:51:32): got a few toons already to 103-104
Ar-Pharazon-V (22:52:06): I bet your demon hunter is
a cross between Elladan and Illidan!
Elladan (22:52:14): HAH!
Elladan (22:53:38): been on my druid mostly
Elladan (22:59:08): maybe tomorrow :)
Elladan (22:59:16): if we have time
Varda Valar (22:59:47): Anyone else downloaded
Discord?
Varda Valar (22:59:54): Just got Falco in there too.
Elladan (22:59:54): yep
Ar-Pharazon-V (22:59:57): Downloaded, yes :P
Elladan (23:00:04): what's the server addy?
Varda Valar (23:00:21): [deleted from transcript]
Varda Valar (23:00:29): Temporary for use today
Varda Valar (23:01:43): Say something when you come
in the channel so I can promote you.
Elladan (23:01:56): I can't say anything
Varda Valar (23:01:56): Then on our server you can
type /nick Elladan
Varda Valar (23:02:03): and your name will show that
way
Elladan (23:02:04): had to send verification email
Elladan (23:02:11): not showing in inbox lol
Varda Valar (23:02:19): Wyrm?
Varda Valar (23:03:01): o ok. Saw someone named Wyrm
show up
Elladan (23:03:07): that's me
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:03:23): Smaug?
Eonwe Valar (23:03:32): Back
Varda Valar (23:03:57): Aiya
Varda Valar (23:04:08): Getting a nice-sized crew in
Discord now :)
Varda Valar (23:04:21): Anyone else coming in?
Varda Valar (23:04:26): Fangorn says hello :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:04:33): Aiya Fangorn
Eonwe Valar (23:04:50): Heya to Fangorn.
Varda Valar (23:06:44): Pulling out of LotRO now
Varda Valar (23:06:52): Still in Discord and AIM
Varda Valar (23:07:27): If anyone else is joining in
Discord, please let me know. :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:07:41): still passing for now :)
Varda Valar (23:07:44): I can give the ability to
change the name to our actual members.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:08:02): as long as meeting's in
here, I'm good ;)
Eonwe Valar (23:08:20): I see irony in a group called
"The Valar Guild" considering a program called "Discord."
Varda Valar (23:08:23): Working on moving it, but
need folks there.
Varda Valar (23:08:26): Aye.
Varda Valar (23:08:41): It's already causing Discord,
but at least it's mild. :)
Eonwe Valar (23:08:44): Sounds like a suggestion we
would've got from Melkor, hehehehehe.
Varda Valar (23:08:54): It's quite popular in LotRO.
Varda Valar (23:09:12): Gil-galad was the most recent
one to suggest it. I've been in it since 2015.
Eonwe Valar (23:09:55): Aye, I speak of course
according to the Ainulindalë, where it was Melkor who caused
Discord in the Music :}
Varda Valar (23:10:14): Aye :)
Varda Valar (23:10:17): Very fitting.
Varda Valar (23:10:26): Love to get Melkor-(Valar) in
there. :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:10:36): Chat program's made by
Melkor? Doesn't surprise me much...
Varda Valar (23:10:43): hehe
Varda Valar (23:11:04): ok, attempted to get us set
up on both programs. :)
Varda Valar (23:11:18): Two people don't want
anything to do with AIM but willing to use Discord. :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:11:51): I'm willing to switch when
it's required, but I don't wish to have to pay attention to both ;)
Varda Valar (23:12:15): You don't have to. :)
Varda Valar (23:12:33): During the meeting, for now,
I"m mainly paying attention to AIM.
Varda Valar (23:12:41): If we move, then it will be
over there.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:12:49): *nods* just let me know
Varda Valar (23:13:06): You can have it set up and
then ignore it if you want, heh.
Varda Valar (23:13:10): Is Arein around?
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:13:23): I'll check.
Varda Valar (23:14:09): The number of Valar Guild
chats on the buddy list has gotten very large.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:14:12): she's on her way
Varda Valar (23:14:19): Thank you :)
Arien V (23:14:43): aiya all :)
Varda Valar (23:14:51): Aiya Arien :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:14:50): Aiya!
Arien V (23:15:01): sorry for that .. got into rp and
.. oh well as things go :)
Varda Valar (23:15:02): Don't see Gilraen
Varda Valar (23:15:15): Glad you can be here too.
Thanks for coming!

Varda Valar (23:15:28): Elen sila lumenn'omentielvo!
Varda Valar (23:15:32): Membership:
Varda Valar (23:16:03): Any membership news from you
folks?
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:16:10): Kinda...
Varda Valar (23:16:27): Fire away :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:16:32): Was crashing a lot this
week and past weeks, was afraid I'd need to get new computer parts
Varda Valar (23:16:42): or cable
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:16:58): but after rigorous testing
of memory, graphics, and stuff like that, I finally decided to give the
whole thing a good dusting.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:17:15): And apparently bicycle pump
applied to the inside of a pc works wonders!
Varda Valar (23:17:34): Egad! Hear that? Everyone be
sure to clean your PC!
Varda Valar (23:17:42): *runs off to buy a bicycle
pump*
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:17:47): hehe
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:17:55): In any case, it seems
stable now :)
Eonwe Valar (23:18:05): I hope you wore a mask, hehe.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:18:05): so that's my pc news!
Eonwe Valar (23:18:22): Sounds like the air might've
been a little thick when you cleaned it out :}
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:18:25): I underestimated the dust
cloud, yes ;)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:18:41): some coughing and sneezing
afterwards
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:18:50): but that just means it
works :D
Eonwe Valar (23:19:01): :}
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:19:24): Oh, I've also got a
web-related thing for the next section.
Varda Valar (23:19:47): Any other membership news?
top
Varda Valar (23:20:00): Web:
(23:20:55) vardavalar1 added cmanderso to this group chat.
Varda Valar (23:21:16): Falco, did you make it?
Falco (23:21:20): Hi
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:21:34): Aiya!
Falco (23:21:35): Thanks for the Invite
Varda Valar (23:21:39): Welcome to the meeting. :)
Varda Valar (23:21:57): We just were moving from
Membership to Web, good timing!
Varda Valar (23:22:10): Phar, go ahead with your Web
news.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:22:22): Well, kinda related to the
chat stuff we were talking about earlier...
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:22:43): for those few still using
it sometimes, it's pretty much lights out for MSN/Windows Live Messenger now.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:23:28): It was already disabled
primarily a couple of years ago, and merged into Skype, but there were
still ways around it with addon programs and apparently also in Asia or
something...
Arien V (23:23:55): hello Falco :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:24:04): But this week, the last
servers have gone down for the needed protocols, just leaving the one
for Skype. So... RIP my oldest messenger :(
Varda Valar (23:24:22): Thanks for letting us know.
That's good information.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:24:23): http://ismsndeadyet.com/ for those
who want more details
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:24:53): I still had some friends in
there who were sometimes online, but I think most of them were via
Skype anyway. Bit sad though, lost contact with a lot of people who
were never using it anymore anyway ;)
Varda Valar (23:25:39): That is a real problem. We've
lost a number of people in a similar way.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:25:43): Hmhm.
Varda Valar (23:25:55): Trying to make sure everyone
here has a way to contact the others, at least for now by the forum.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:26:09): Forum should remain useful
for a long time at least!
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:26:49): I may give it a few weeks
and then switch over to Skype, though I don't like the way it bogs down
my pc. All the more reason not to add Discord just yet, I suppose!
Varda Valar (23:27:04): We still have our old one on
Yahoo too. But folks don't use it. Migration is tough.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:27:13): Yep.
Varda Valar (23:27:18): Discord is supposed to bog
you less than Skype.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:27:37): Yes, but Skype still should
have a way to keep the MSN contacts.
Varda Valar (23:27:55): and Discord to help keep up
the Valar contacts. :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:27:57): Having Discord and AIM up
is rather less useful than having one of em and MSN/Skype ;)
Varda Valar (23:28:14): aye, just turn off Discord
when not using it. I do.
Varda Valar (23:28:46): We shall muddle through. :)
Eonwe Valar (23:29:07): Eh, I've made a little more
of an effort to have AIM up in my free time when I can since the update.
Varda Valar (23:29:37): Am I typing in the right
place? :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:29:49): I always keep AIM up when
I'm online.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:30:07): Even though I may not talk
much outside of the meetings :)
Eonwe Valar (23:30:44): It's nice that the channel
auto-opens so once I log into AIM, I'm here. And yes, you're typing
here, Varda :}
Varda Valar (23:30:49): You are pretty good about
answering outside. :)
Varda Valar (23:30:55): Thanks
Varda Valar (23:31:52): Ok, enough about that in the
main chat at least. Feel free to ask for invites in a side window, for
Discord.
Varda Valar (23:32:13): No new info on the Tolkien
Site, my apologies.
Varda Valar (23:32:33): I hope to hit the Timeline
again for you this week, fortune allowing.
Varda Valar (23:32:48): Any new articles, stories,
art, are welcome. :)

Varda Valar (23:32:53): Gaming:
Varda Valar (23:33:03): Eonwe, can you give the
general gaming report?
Eonwe Valar (23:33:20): Certainly.
Varda Valar (23:33:30): Thank you. :)
Eonwe Valar (23:34:14): World of Warcraft:
Eonwe Valar (23:34:35): Two
blogs were put up this week: PvP: Rewarding Prestige and A Found Memento: Raising a King.
Eonwe Valar (23:34:53): Check out
the latest hotfixes.
Eonwe Valar (23:34:59): WoW Lothar:
Eonwe Valar (23:35:56): Bofur, Nob, Arien, and Eowyn
as well as Eonwe were on this week.
Eonwe Valar (23:36:33): Both Bofur and I got a new
legendary in that time.
Varda Valar (23:36:59): Nice. :)
Eonwe Valar (23:37:15): Nob earlier today got an
achievement in for a mythic dungeon, and I got to Prestige Level 2 (a
pvp ranking) so I could unlock some appearances for my artifacts.
Elladan (23:37:28): I got all 4 of my artifacts for
my druid today :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:37:42): Grats!
Eonwe Valar (23:37:46): Starcraft 2:
Eonwe Valar (23:38:07): Two previews
for patch 3.14 are out: Patch 3.14 Preview: Tastosis Announcer and Patch 3.14 Preview: New Premiere Skin Bundle.
Eonwe Valar (23:38:22): The second is probably not so
interesting unless you don't mind spending money for cosmetics in SC2.
Eonwe Valar (23:38:43): Diablo 3:
Eonwe Valar (23:39:07): There have
been more updates to the necromancer beta patch notes.
Eonwe Valar (23:39:20): Heroes of the Storm:
Eonwe Valar (23:39:44): The new patch is out and D.Va is in.
Eonwe Valar (23:40:09): Hearthstone:
Eonwe Valar (23:40:21): New features are coming.
Eonwe Valar (23:40:35): Destiny 2:
Eonwe Valar (23:40:58): For those
interested in Destiny 2, it will be coming to the Blizzard App when
it's released. Get the details in
the announcement and if you're interested in the game go to the official Destiny 2
website.
Arien V (23:41:21): aye i have read it
Arien V (23:41:32): i am not sure what it is
Arien V (23:41:40): I dont know Destiny at all
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:41:44): An FPS with MMO elements, I
heard?
Varda Valar (23:42:03): Enough trouble keeping up
with my current games. :)
Eonwe Valar (23:42:06): Somethign like that sounds
about right.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:42:13): Activision game hitching a
ride on the blizzard game distribution system.
Elladan (23:42:15): I have Destiny for Xbox One
Eonwe Valar (23:42:21): I've dabbled in it since my
brother bought it. Not bad over all.
Varda Valar (23:42:41): Hi to Dracxil. :)
Eonwe Valar (23:43:03): Made by Bungie, the same guys
who made Halo, and thos ewere some pretty solid games. I'm not usually
big on FPS overall, but I could play those.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:43:15): Not my genre, and I'm not
interested in a new franchise that isn't even actually Blizzard. I
don't know if characters will appear in Heroes, but that still won't
bring me in :)
Varda Valar (23:43:34): Nice to hear about though.
Eonwe Valar (23:43:37): Free Will is lovely like that
:}
Varda Valar (23:43:59): :)
Eonwe Valar (23:44:09): But aye, the reason I even
mention it is because many of us do play Blizzard games.
Varda Valar (23:44:39): Our beginning was there.
Eonwe Valar (23:44:39): What that forbodes for the
future of what used to be called "Battle.net" we'll see.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:44:43): being on the blizzard app
does mean it gets the same communication benefits as blizzard games,
though.
Eonwe Valar (23:44:51): Aye.
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:44:54): Which means you can see and
talk to your friends playing it :)
Varda Valar (23:44:57): Welcome to Discord. ;)
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:45:08): full circle?
Eonwe Valar (23:45:12): Or Steam? ;}
Varda Valar (23:45:13): We can tell which game people
are in or not in.
Eonwe Valar (23:46:09): Anyway, I'm done with general
gaming news.
Varda Valar (23:46:17): Aye, Scatha still keeps Steam
up for us.
Varda Valar (23:46:22): Thank you, Eonwe. :)
Varda Valar (23:46:24): LotRO:
Varda Valar (23:46:53): This week and the rest of the
day, the Featured Instance aka box run is the Sword Halls of Guldur.
Varda Valar (23:47:30): We are in a Welcome Back
weekend, meaning extra experience. The heart buff on your character
portrait is a quick way to know it's going.
Varda Valar (23:47:50): The Year 6 questing is going.
Varda Valar (23:48:27): The splash art for the Black
Gate was done by an artist we're all familiar with. Take a look when
you can:
Varda Valar (23:48:29): http://www.tednasmith.com/tolkien/the-return-of-the-king/battle-of-the-black-gate/
Varda Valar (23:48:48): Any other LotRO news?
Varda Valar (23:49:32): We are dragging our LotRO
players into Discord for gaming as well as chat.
Varda Valar (23:49:48): Any other business,
suggestions, kudos, raspberries?
Falco (23:50:02): :P
Eonwe Valar (23:50:17): Well, business, of sorts..
Varda Valar (23:50:22): Go ahead.
Varda Valar (23:50:32): One raspberry given, hehe
Eonwe Valar (23:51:57): "The
world is changed..."
Eonwe Valar (23:52:10): "I feel it in the water..."
Eonwe Valar (23:52:23): "I feel it in the earth...."
Arien V (23:52:56): i feel it in the air/
Eonwe Valar (23:52:57): "I see it in the... Games Site?"
Arien V (23:53:00): ?
Eonwe Valar (23:53:11): Well, you will, soon :}
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:53:36): dun dun dun
Varda Valar (23:53:46): *roll of drums*
Varda Valar (23:54:14): When do you think you'll be
rolling it out?
Eonwe Valar (23:54:35): All goes well, later tonight
:}
Varda Valar (23:54:48): o wow. That's soon!
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:54:47): Your "tonight"?
Ar-Pharazon-V (23:54:51): Remind me tomorrow then :)
Eonwe Valar (23:54:55): My "tonight" yes :}
Varda Valar (23:54:58): Valar time. :)
Arien V (23:55:17): ;0
Arien V (23:55:25): :)
Eonwe Valar (23:55:33): So if you can't access the
Games Site tonight for some reason, chances are that's why :}
Arien V (23:55:48): all right :)
Varda Valar (23:56:00): Good to know, especially when
working on the transcript. :)
Eonwe Valar (23:56:22): :}
Varda Valar (23:56:54): Defnitely looking forward to
checking out the live version!
Varda Valar (23:58:17): Also, left out the Seen this
week section in today's meeting during Gaming. Adding in now.
Varda Valar (23:58:20): LotRO:

Arien V (00:00:16): in the battlenet
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:00:43): Fladrif's also been online
in bnet this week, it seems!
Varda Valar (00:01:13): Nice. That's three active
Ents.
Varda Valar (00:02:52): Any more news? That was
enough to topple the internet already.
Varda Valar (00:03:02): If not, we can move to
top
Varda Valar (00:03:05): Tolkien!
Varda Valar (00:03:36): We have all heard of a book
title called "Return of the King
Varda Valar (00:03:54): For our chat, it's "Return of
the.. who else?"
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:04:21): Return of the Ring to where
it was made.
Varda Valar (00:04:23): Some characters made returns,
sometimes surprising. Who might some of these have been?
Varda Valar (00:04:31): Good one, Phar.
Eonwe Valar (00:04:48): Return of the King of Rohan?
:}
Varda Valar (00:05:19): Interesting, and true.
Theoden came back from being held down by Grima and Saruman.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:05:42): Return of the Hobbits to
the Shire, only to find things they did not expect.
Varda Valar (00:06:02): good one.
Eonwe Valar (00:06:07): Return of Saruman to the
story after we thought we were done with him, hehe.
Varda Valar (00:06:12): Saruman, returning to the
Shire, aye.
Varda Valar (00:06:39): A bit of his Voice may still
have been working, at least over time, on Treebeard.
Varda Valar (00:06:54): Maybe helped collect Ruffians
and sway hobbits.
Eonwe Valar (00:07:02): Return of *the* Lobelia
Sackville-Baggins :}
Varda Valar (00:07:09): yay!
Varda Valar (00:07:20): Return of the Silver Spoons.
Eonwe Valar (00:07:58): The Return of Samwise Gamgee?
He *did* say he was back :}
Varda Valar (00:08:06): Gollum returned to the
outside world.
Varda Valar (00:08:13): He did, indeed. :)
Varda Valar (00:08:35): Sauron's return.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:08:36): Return of the Palantir from
Isengard to the heir of Numenor.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:09:51): Return of Faramir from
Ithilien/Osgiliath to Minas Tirith, only to be sent out again and being
brought back again.
Varda Valar (00:10:15): And there and back again to
Ithilien.
Eonwe Valar (00:10:26): Return of the Ents to acting
in the events of the world.
Varda Valar (00:10:48): Return of Galadriel to
Valinor.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:11:12): Return to life of Gandalf,
then return to Valinor.
Eonwe Valar (00:11:36): That was in Two Towers. Does
that count?
Varda Valar (00:11:38): Return of Gimli to the
Glittering Caves, a visit and then as Lord of the Glittering Caves of
Aglarond.
Varda Valar (00:11:50): Any return idea works. :)
Eonwe Valar (00:11:54): OK :}
Varda Valar (00:12:11): Including Luthien and Beren
returning to life for a time. :)
Eonwe Valar (00:12:12): The Return of the Nazgul :}
Eonwe Valar (00:12:45): Ring Wars: A New Hope...
Oops, wrong theme.
Varda Valar (00:12:54): heh
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:13:23): Well if we're stepping
outside of LotR, we've also got the return of Durin's line to Erebor.
Varda Valar (00:13:28): The return of Glorfindel to
Middle-earth
Varda Valar (00:13:42): Anything by JRRT is fine. :)
Varda Valar (00:14:02): It was just a play with that
one title to explain the chat theme.
Eonwe Valar (00:14:04): Wel, I can tell you who
*won't* be returning, and that's Fëanor :}
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:14:08): and after that to Moria!
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:14:19): and after that *again* to
Moria!
Varda Valar (00:14:32): Re-returns work too. :)
Varda Valar (00:15:28): The return of Numenoreans
from Numenor to Middle-earth.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:16:12): The return of the Noldor
from Valinor to Middle-earth.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:16:23): And 600 years later,
re-return to Valinor for those who'd take it.
Eonwe Valar (00:18:42): The return of Ar-Pharazon the
Golden and his fleet?
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:19:16): Return to where? We didn't
start in Valinor :) Though I guess we went to Middle-earth and back.
Eonwe Valar (00:19:30): Return *from* the Forgotten
Caves :}
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:20:08): Ah yes, eventually!
Varda Valar (00:21:49): The fleet is flinders.
Varda Valar (00:22:05): but might dig you out to help
make the new Arda. :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:22:14): Maybe I built a new one in
the caves.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:22:25): From what? Who knows? Maybe
they're made of rock.
Arien V (00:22:37): Return of the Beleriand Survivors
to Middlearth?
Varda Valar (00:22:40): Origami? Small carvings? We
can expand them for you.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:23:10): What does a small human,
but undying army do when trapped in a cave for thousands of years?
Arien V (00:23:16): Return of the Kingship to the
Numenorean line?
Varda Valar (00:23:20): That's an intersting thought.
Not much told about the elves at the time of the sinking of Beleriand.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:23:32): I'm sure we carve and
create until we've settled in nicely and have a bunch of stone chairs
and tables and small boats to pretend we're sailing :)
Varda Valar (00:23:57): Lots of tunneling and making
side rooms for the stuff you make too.
Varda Valar (00:24:07): Storage, always a problem. :)
Varda Valar (00:24:25): The mound of dirt by their
hole keeps growing!
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:24:29): Not when we use the same
materials we get from carving out said storage space to make the things
we store in them.
Arien V (00:24:36): well it seems like the golf of
Forochel was the very edge of the Beleriand coast so thats the only
stretch of land that survived from that time
Elladan (00:25:01): Never fails. I get someone always
asking about my Super Simian Sphere :P
Varda Valar (00:25:03): So they jumped in their
boats, or made a fast climb through the mountains
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:25:52): Well, as long as you
*reach* the mountains, you can wait until the water rises and float to
the mountain tops :)
Varda Valar (00:26:15): Good point.
Arien V (00:26:47): hmm if you think .. there is
whole land stretches under water on the east side of britain
Arien V (00:26:55): towards Denmark
Varda Valar (00:27:06): Water elves!
Varda Valar (00:27:34): Far-fetched fun.
Varda Valar (00:27:55): If they drowned, they wound
up in Valinor.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:27:56): Yep. During last ice age we
could walk to the UK from here.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:28:01): It'd take a while, but
still.
Varda Valar (00:28:05): And Valinor is as big as we
want it to be.
Arien V (00:28:12): We know that there have been
settlements there .. so i wonder although little survived there i would
think some made it to the mainland
Arien V (00:28:39): well mainland .. the higher
levels ..
Arien V (00:28:57): you know what i mean :) what
didnt get flooded
Varda Valar (00:29:21): Mountain elves. :)
Arien V (00:29:37): yeah :)
Varda Valar (00:30:12): Sounds as if we should be
adding to our fan fic with these thoughts
Arien V (00:30:59): :)
Arien V (00:31:08): gives good material
Varda Valar (00:31:19): We are running out of time,
but we can add more if we like during After-meeting. :)
Varda Valar (00:31:40): *catches a hammer as it goes
by on the conveyor belt in the nearby shelf*
Varda Valar (00:31:48): *splooooosh!*
Arien V (00:31:57): all right :) i have to add some
membership news in aftermeeting as well .. since i missed that ^^
Eonwe Valar (00:32:06): For those in the RP,
if we're still interested in it, my next post coming soon, as a
two-parter.
Varda Valar (00:32:11): *the hammer sogs us all, then
slithers back to the shelf*
top
Varda Valar (00:32:14): After-meeting!
Varda Valar (00:32:26): Ahh, we look forward to your
two-parter post!
Arien V (00:32:27): uh that landed in water!
Arien V (00:32:35): thrown too far?
Varda Valar (00:32:44): Hammer turned to water.
Arien V (00:32:52): ah i see
Varda Valar (00:32:54): A lot of water.
Arien V (00:33:05): interesting hammer
Varda Valar (00:33:16): I suspect the Hand of Ulmo
was in Aule's apprentice shop, knowing we borrow their hammers for
gavels.
Varda Valar (00:33:30): *yep, salty water*
Arien V (00:33:36): *shines sunrays on and a myriad
of colors break away from it *
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:33:36): I'm amazed you still
managed to pick it up.
Varda Valar (00:33:56): I am Varda. :)
Varda Valar (00:34:13): Nice colors!
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:34:54): Like a prism, that also
works.
Arien V (00:35:06): aye :)
Arien V
(00:35:54): yes my missed membership news . feel free
to fit them in the right place when you do the transscript
Varda Valar (00:36:05): Links work. :)
Eonwe Valar (00:36:29): Part 1 of my post will get
everyone together, stop, and then everyone will have a chance to post
their arrival/perspective. Part 2 will pick up with Auros and what he's
learned, and move us forward towards our goal.
Arien V (00:37:04): Next Sunday I am not going to be
at the meeting likely , since we are going to attend a wedding in
Denmark :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:37:10): Enjoy!
Arien V (00:37:17): and sounds cool Eonwe :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:37:25): Indeed it does.
Arien V (00:38:13): we are spending a few days with
Bruces parents in the south of Scotland who are on holiday up there and
then flying out friday and come back Monday
Arien V (00:38:38): bring the car to MOT on Tuesday
and back to work on Wednesday
Arien V (00:38:50): that was my news :)
Eonwe Valar (00:41:09): Have fun :}
Varda Valar (00:41:25): Thanks! We will watch for it!
Varda Valar (00:41:37): Huzzah for weddings!
Varda Valar (00:43:21): Sounds like a great trip. :)
Eonwe Valar (00:43:51): I need to be off now, so take
care all, good night, sleep well, and have fun :}
Varda Valar (00:43:58): Namarie!
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:44:22): Namarie!
Arien V (00:48:06): Namarie Eonwe and i should go
upstairs as well .. to pack and get myself to bed ^^ , we are not
leaving too early tomorrow but still .. dont want to rush :)
Varda Valar (00:48:29): Ànd she's teaching me
how to talk. :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:48:49): How to talk?
Varda Valar (00:49:30): Discord :)
Arien V (00:49:31): aye in discord
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:50:01): ah
Varda Valar (00:54:09): Arien has a great voice. :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:54:25): Ah, the voice functin.
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:54:27): *tion.
Arien V (00:54:45): right dear people .. i ll have to
go now :) before i fall asleep or yawn Varda full ^
Varda Valar (00:55:01): Helps not to have the push to
talk going in the typing spot. :)
Arien V (00:56:33): nah control key works quite fine
^^#
Arien V (00:56:49): was awkward in Eve but its cool
in WoW ^^
Arien V (00:57:18): constantly needed the control key
for something else hehe
Ar-Pharazon-V (00:57:30): Yes, ctrl in WoW doesn't
seem to do much except health-bars and switching off the interface for
screenshots.
Elladan (00:57:45): I use the alt key
Varda Valar (00:58:05): I was using `the tilde
Arien V (00:58:34): ah i guess that works too - good
idea
Arien V (01:00:18): Namarie then for now and i ll see
you next week :) maybe i can make it in game with the laptop ,
depending on whether they have broadband in there or not
Varda Valar (01:00:35): Namarie
Elladan (01:00:44): Namarie
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:01:18): namarie!
Lenwe (-V) (01:25:53): Aiya everyone :) Still getting
used to meetings starting at 3pm rather than 5, sorry!
Varda Valar (01:26:09): Aiya Lenwe :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:26:08): Aiya! They're still at the
same time for me ;)
Varda Valar (01:26:25): Nothing like moving over a
few states :)
Lenwe (-V) (01:26:55): I'll get used to it
eventually, but it's in my mind that supper time is also meeting time
Varda Valar (01:27:12): So now it's after lunch
Lenwe (-V) (01:27:17): Maybe I should try setting an
alarm next week :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:27:19): You eat at 5? That seems
early...
Varda Valar (01:27:23): Alarming
Varda Valar (01:27:39): 5 or even 4:30 is not unusual
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:30:41): We always eat between 6 and
7.
Varda Valar (01:30:59): Perfectly reasonable time
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:31:05): Maybe we're the exceptions?
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:31:31): *checks time* I'll give my
personal report in half an hour or so, after I meet up with someone in
Storm :)
Varda Valar (01:32:04): Nice thing about a transcript
is the long time space doesn't make a clear space.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:32:36): Aw, person went offline 4
minutes ago, probably didn't think I'd show on time. He needs to get up
early on weekdays.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:32:40): Guess I'll start here now :)
Varda Valar (01:33:00): Sorry you missed him
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:33:21): It's fine, I'm often late
because of other stuff, and he knows about the meeting :)
Varda Valar (01:33:48): Not a LotR fan? :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:33:53): Not that I know of.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:33:56): Gaming report time!
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:34:13): For flashgames:
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:35:49): http://www.kongregate.com/games/scriptwelder/dont-escape-2
is the first. A point-and-click time management game. Travel around and
explore, talk to people, collect stuff, build your defenses and hold
out against an impending zombie attack. If you fail, try again and
experiment with which ways work the best :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:36:20): Simple, but can be
difficult in finding out which combinations work. Depending on actions
and result, you can get several different endings.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:38:29): http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/falling_circles
is the second game! Simple platformer, avoid the falling circles,
collect bonuses to give you an advantage, collect stars to unlock
different models for your character.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:39:24): For an increasingly
difficult series of levels, choose the challenges, but you can also go
freestyle and see how long you last.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:41:23): Having some trouble getting
it to save star progress, but eh.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:46:25): http://www.kongregate.com/games/tbiz5270/idle-tower-defense
is the third! Title says it all: Idle game, tower defense game, if
you're familiar with those genres. Build towers, let them shoot
enemies, get them upgraded and more powerful, reset for prestige when
you hit a progress-ceiling, so to speak :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:49:06): Blizzard games!
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:50:30): Heroes of the Storm: Level 189. Got
the last weekly quest for the Overwatch crossover promotion done, which
got me a good amount of loot chests, containing some new skins and
other goodies.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:51:00): Still working on this
week's brawl, which is 3 short matches of a custom temple shrine map
with random heroes. Can be tough, but it's fast.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:51:58): Diablo 3: Still going to rifts,
making some progress. Currently level 41, and moved to expert
difficulty so I should level a bit faster from here on. Slow going, but
still got a good amount of time left.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:54:05): Hearthstone: Doing a bit of
class-catch up, when quests allow. This week's brawl was 2 adventure
bosses against each other, each with interesting abilities and cards. I
won my match with Rafaam, with an upgradable hero-ability allowing you
to summon rarer cards for greater discounts.
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:55:43): WoW: No new northrend raid stuff,
but I did get some good loot in Nighthold raiding, and my sixth
legendary - one of the best for Feral specialization - in a world
quest. It left some gaps in my gear because I had to switch stuff
around, but managed to fill both gaps in today's raid, including
getting the best feral dps trinket from the raid :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:57:23): It's been a slow week for
marks of honor, but I did get a few more pet masters fought, and have
no fought all 15 pet masters with a humanoid family. Plan is to
complete that for all the others too. For other world quests, a couple
of rare elite quests were up that I hadn't seen yet. My list grows :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:57:33): no->now
Ar-Pharazon-V (01:59:14): This week's weekly quest
was mythic dungeons, doing 4 to get a reward. I also still needed to do
4 dungeons with a hidden appearance to unlock the last one, so that
worked out perfectly.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:00:15): One of the 4 was Darkheart
Thicket, where I finally got my moonkin base hidden appearance - well,
half of it, the other was available for a vendor for exalted
reputation, so I had access to that ages ago already - so now I've got
every hidden druid appearance, with every variation, for every spec!
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:01:25): ...Actually, now that I
think about it, that was *last week's* weekly quest, but I only
completed it on tuesday, so it still counts for this week's report :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:02:18): This week's weekly quest is
actually winning 5 pvp pet battles. Took me a bit, but I completed it
today, getting a special pet leveling stone which I used to get my
warden owl from level 1 to 25. Seems quite a useful little pet, with
Darkness ability.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:03:20): So yeah, some interesting
accomplishments and acquisitions this week, but my other activities
have been quite slow.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:03:42): I've not been able to do
any Suramar questing, except pick up a new sidequest which I haven't
actually done anything about yet... maybe next week.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:04:19): (blame my earlier pc
troubles, and the end-of-season summer barbecue and ball at my dancing
school on saturday)
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:04:54): And I've not had much luck
with the appearances from heroic Durnholde either, only getting one or
two pieces. Still, some progress is some progress!
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:05:54): I suppose I could add that
starting Mythic difficulty Nighthold is now being looked into, though
it'll be a while before we can make progress there!
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:06:54): And that's my report for
this week!
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:08:42): And now I'll go finish my
Heroes of the Storm brawl :)
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:10:32): Giving out a loot chest at
the end of each weekly brawl is quite a clever idea by Blizzard. It
makes it worthwhile to go through em, but since they're no longer
unique rewards, you're not actually pressured if you don't have time
for it, or really feel like you're missing out if you forget.
Ar-Pharazon-V (02:10:50): Perfect balance, really.
Ar-Pharazon-V (04:23:01): Making transcript.
Varda Valar (04:23:14): Thanks
