Before-meeting
Ar-Pharazon-V (ArPharazonV) has entered the room.
Varda Valar (VardaValar1) has entered the room.
Varda Valar: Aiya. We had a time change.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya!
Ar-Pharazon-V: So...
Varda Valar: Eastern time is now going to make the meeting seem later.
Ar-Pharazon-V: I'm one and a half hour early now.
Varda Valar: hehe
Varda Valar: You can go play!
Ar-Pharazon-V: yay :-)
Varda Valar: hehe
Varda Valar: Logging out of LotRO
Varda Valar: *fingernails scrape on the way out*
Ar-Pharazon-V: Don't really want to go? :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Arien poked.
Varda Valar: Might be so. :-)
Varda Valar: Thank you
Ar-Pharazon-V: Arien claims to be here on her own. Maybe she got the
roomname wrong?
Varda Valar: I may be called away shortly, but I'm inviting and trying
to get others invited Get us started.
Varda Valar: That happens, aye
Varda Valar: Have her check the spelling. She's in AIM
Varda Valar: visiblly, I mean
Ar-Pharazon-V: Alright, we identified the mistake, she'll join us soon
:-)
Varda Valar: yay! That was quick :-)
Arien V (AriehnV) has entered the room.
Varda Valar: Aiya Arien :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya!
Varda Valar: I may have to leave very shortly, but we can get started
at least. :-)
Arien V: Aiya borth *hides behind the face palm*
Varda Valar: I've misspelled it too. :-)
Varda Valar: Main clue to check it is whether Phar is there or not. ;-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Used to have a shortcut to the room on my desktop, but
that's not working anymore in this version, just opens up the buddy
list.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Wish I knew how to create one for this.
Varda Valar: Agreed
Arien V: yeah would be nice indeed

Varda Valar: Elen

Varda Valar: Membership:
Varda Valar: Arien is back.
Huzzah!
Arien V: :-)
Varda Valar: Fangorn and I are
traveling. We're visiting Eowyn,
Faramir-init, and our grandson. :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: init?
Varda Valar: They gave us StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void. :-)
Varda Valar: initiate
Varda Valar: Not going to do any more initiate ranks.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Heh.
Varda Valar: Too often they just never complete the books, 99%.
Ar-Pharazon-V: They're big books.
Varda Valar: Don't need to either, since they're already in the kin,
usually a friend can help them get whatever they need from the kin
chest, so no big push to do it.
Varda Valar: True, they are big books. Intimidating until you get into
them and start enjoying them, then they're too short.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Still waiting for that Silmarillion-scaled-to-Lotr-detail bookseries.
Varda Valar: Weather is gorgeous in Arizona this time of year. :-)
Varda Valar: ohhhh *grabs and reads*
Varda Valar: That Children of Hurin
book gave us hope.
Varda Valar: Beren and Luthien...
Varda Valar: How was Germany?
Ar-Pharazon-V: Gondolin..
Varda Valar: Love to read that, aye!
Varda Valar: Cooler here, tons of flowers.
Arien V: beautiful .. lucky with the weather :-)

Varda Valar: ack, what an url
Arien V: nice to see the family mostly :-) and a great and unbeatable,
unforgetable concert in Freiburg
Varda Valar: Google for Beren and
Luthien book.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Still so far away, May 2017!
Varda Valar: Sounds wonderful!
Varda Valar: Wiki down low shows the standalone book and comments that
JRRT suggested Gondolin as
the third stand alone
Varda Valar: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tale_of_Beren_and_L%C3%BAthien
Varda Valar: Was the concert
classical or what kind?
Varda Valar: Was that the Gaelic music?
Varda Valar: Sorry, must leave. Will scroll back after a return in a
bit. It's all yours, Arien!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Have.. fun?
Arien V: it was gaelic rock /tradition fused ..
Arien V: sort of hard to discribe Runrig's music ..songs influenced by
gaelic /scottish tradition as well as rock music .. they developped
from a traditional scottish dance band :-)
Arien V: ok be safe Varda!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Sounds like a fun combination.
Arien V: very fun combination aye :-)
Arien V: to give you an idea :-)
Arien V: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxnzMIFq_h0
Ar-Pharazon-V: Interesting combo indeed
Arien V: their songs are steeped in tradition and personal / recent
topics that were important to them at some point in live
Arien V: err life
Arien V: great was as well that one of the steward girls got me a chair
on the wheelchair stage :-)
Arien V: so i didnt need to stand all the two hours and 20 minutes :-)
Arien V: which i was really hapy about with my knee :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah yes, good thinking :-)
Arien V: i stood for 45 mins for the pre-act which where an interesting
combination as well
Arien V: mix of soul and country
Arien V: the singer had a great voice wow
Arien V: forgot their name though
Arien V: I remember they were from Australia
Ar-Pharazon-V: Not a soul fan myself, but I'm sure all genres have good
stuff :-)
Arien V: same here and the songs had a different mood than Runrigs but
they were still good
Arien V: an immense final choir for the last songs ..Hearts of olden
glory and Glory https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0YWs95UGis
and Loch Lomond https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0dHkoq_BeU
Arien V: anyway enough of that^^
Arien V: i could go on forever with this ^
Ar-Pharazon-V: hehe
Arien V: so any other membership news? Varda left for a family visit
Arien V: back to real life for me now , early start this morning
Ar-Pharazon-V: Caught a bit of a cold, myself!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Luckily sniffling doesn't translate to AIM.
Ar-Pharazon-V: That's it for me :-)
Arien V: hehe oki :-)
Arien V: right .. Eonwe got the gaming news up for us :-)
Arien V: Varda your back? i saw typing?
Varda Valar: Back
Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiyata!
Varda Valar: Go ahead, Arien. You're doing great. :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Can't even type without someone noticing around here.
Arien V: if you wish ^^
Varda Valar: Unless you're being pulled away too by your rp group. I
can probably take it if you need.
Arien V: Any games apart from Blizzard games that could be noted before
personal gaming news?
Varda Valar: LotRO for one.
Varda Valar: Hobnangians is going now.
Arien V: at the moment I am free :-)
Varda Valar: Downtime for maintenance on Monday: 4am to 2pm Eastern.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Don't need my personal gaming for an excuse to give
Blizzard game news. I'm sure there's a ton of news to give from
Blizzcon.
Varda Valar: Oh, Hobnangians is going through the 6th.
Varda Valar: And Eowyn has loot from digital Blizzcon. :-)
Varda Valar: All yours.
Varda Valar: er, as in, I'm done
Arien V: hehe i played . Rift, Eve,
Guild Wars 2, not Lotro since i came back but i got the update
^^ and played before we went on holiday :-)
Arien V: and Star Wars the old
Republic as well
Ar-Pharazon-V: Me, I've played..
flashgames.
Varda Valar: Oh, have the LotRO kin
list for the past week
Varda Valar:
Bregalad
Dis
Erkenbrand
Gorlim
Lenwe
Marigold
Nar
Varda
Varda Valar: Done on that now.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Tried to get some older games running just to test it,
but apparently many of my older games are 16-bit and my windows version
won't take it.
Ar-Pharazon-V: If I want I can look at Dosbox or virtual box, though,
so there are work-arounds.
Ar-Pharazon-V: I wonder if Warcraft II still works..
Arien V: oki dok .. WoW of course on the Blizzard front
Arien V: yep thats good
Arien V: you should be able to get it running probably Pkhari
Ar-Pharazon-V: Yep, probably, with some effort.
Ar-Pharazon-V: I did get Warcraft 1 going, but that required dosbox.
Arien V: and for Blizz was dominated by Blizz Con whichhas been running
this weekend .. that is Friday and Saturday
Arien V: Eonwe got ud the headlines together as always :-)
See what's going on this month in WoW.
Arien V: Blizzcon is going this weekend, and of course
some of the news involves World of Warcraft. See what they've announced
in the blog World of Warcraft: Legion – What’s Next Panel Recap.
Check out this week's hotfixes.
Arien V: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/20355988/world-of-warcraft-legion-what-s-next-panel-recap
Arien V: Diablo 3 :
Arien V: The big news from Blizzcon for Diablo 3
includes a new class: the Necromancer. For more, see the Day 1 and Day 2 recaps.
Blizzard also put out a new Developer Chronicles blog
earlier in the week: Developer Chronicles: Armor of Akkhan.
Arien V: The Necromancer sounds actually real fun .. i saw that bit in
the opening ceremony
Arien V: Star Craft II
Arien V: Blizzard also discussed some things for
Starcraft 2. You can check out the recap blogs for more info:
Arien V: Heroes of the Storm:
Arien V: New heroes, a new event, and more were
announced at Blizzcon. You can find out more in the blogs (a chance to
get free heroes never hurts!):
Arien V: Those heroes are .. Gul' dan and Ragnaros :-)
Arien V: old *friends* that sound really fun
Arien V: to play baddies big style :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Gul'dan's already in. We're getting Varian.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Who is a good guy, who just died in WoW, though we're
already joking that he got teleported to the Nexus instead ;-)
Arien V: ah true yess
Arien V: we get Varian .. thanks Phari :)]
Varda Valar: Played by Sean Bean?
Arien V: hehe .. who knows .. his characters always die so the role
would be written for him :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Actually, he was voiced by Metzen in WoW, who left the
company recently... so maybe Sean Bean took over? ;-)
Arien V: hehe probably
Arien V: Hearthstone :-)
Arien V: A new expansion for Hearthstone was
announced: The Means Streets of Gadgetzan!. Check out the announcement and check out the official site. Also check out the blog Inside the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan at BlizzCon!.
Arien V: Gangstarap here coming :-)
Arien V: sounds fun from the story .. shame i am not into on screen
cardgames
Arien V: and i never got the gist of Hearthstone but it still sounds
interesting
Ar-Pharazon-V: I like Hearthstone but when it comes to content I'm like
4 expansions behind.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Should probably buy some cards before the older ones are
disabled again ;-)
Arien V: and last but not least Overwatch,
Blizzards latest one person MMO shooter
Arien V: A new new lore tidbit is out: LUMÉRICO
CEO STEPS DOWN.
Related to the above (and previously related lore
tidbits), the new hero Sombra
was officially announced. Check out her intro animated short: "Infiltration".
Arien V: thank you very much for this Eonwe :-)
Arien V: uh i skipped webnews .. slaps self .. too
tired seemingly to functrion right
Arien V: Varda do you have any web news belatedly ?
Varda Valar: You did do it by telling Gaming. We didn't have anything
ready to put up [on the Tolkien Site] this last week, although some is
in progress.
Arien V: cool :-)
Arien V: Any lideas for Tolkien section then?
Varda Valar: Just checked a couple of our major artists, currently
working on non-Tolkien goodies.
top
Varda Valar: Tolkien. Mostly just
thinking about Dior's children.
Varda Valar: Hadn't really picked a topic as that one is too full of
speculation.
Ar-Pharazon-V: There's more than 1?
Varda Valar: Yes
Varda Valar: Elwing is the surviving daughter.
Varda Valar: But he had twin sons as well.
Varda Valar: Elured and Elurin
Varda Valar: Twins seem to have run in that family.
Varda Valar: The sons were caught at the sack of Doriath. Quite young.
Varda Valar: They were left to starve in the dark woods.
Varda Valar: The speculation, obviiously, is what if they had lived? No
bodies were found.
Varda Valar: They do seem to have died to the storyline, however, as
they never appear again.
Varda Valar: But, no bodies...
Varda Valar: The Elu part of their names was in honor of Elu Thingol,
their grandfather.
Varda Valar: er, great grandfather.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Depending on how young they were, survival in the woods
might be a bit of an issue. Then again, elves...
Varda Valar: Dior being the son of Luthien and Beren, Luthien being the
daughter of Elu Thingol and Melian.
Varda Valar: Aye. Most probably they died. It could be a subject for
fan fiction at least.
Varda Valar: Maedhros repented and tried to find them, but never did.
Varda Valar: There's a tradition among the Nandor, however,
Varda Valar: the Nandor of Ossiriand,
Varda Valar: that birds and beast led them to safety, and the twins
survived.
Varda Valar: HoMe 11
Varda Valar: That one just mentions birds.
Varda Valar: If that tradition is correct, I wonder where "safety" was?
Ar-Pharazon-V: And they lived the rest of their long lives as
Tarzan-wannabees?
Varda Valar: hehe
Varda Valar: If the Nandor of Ossiriand had that story, their ancestors
may have found them.
Varda Valar: They would have kept them secret, kept them safe.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Forsaken their old identities, lived alongside the Elves
remaining.
Varda Valar: The silvan elves of Mirkwood and Lorien would have been
Nandor.
Varda Valar: Nandor were the ancestors of the elves at Edhellond too
(for those of you into LotRO).
Varda Valar: That's book stuff on Edhellond. The elf characters'
starting area is there.
Varda Valar: Some of the Nandor would have intermarried with Avari
Ar-Pharazon-V: So it's possible that the player elves are descendants
of Luthien and Beren.
Varda Valar: Some Noldor mixed with Silvans too.
Varda Valar: So the Silvans had a bit of mix from all the groups.
Varda Valar: Interesting to think they were looked down on, but some
may have carried Maia ancestry.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Indeed :-)
Varda Valar: Just a bit of a cool thought, looking at that bit.
Arien V: How about a darker speculation hmmm ? what if the enemmy would
have found them ? maybe left them to die or grow up in captivity for
them to be transformed into the first forefathers of the wightts ?
Ar-Pharazon-V: Maybe the Uruk-hai are descendants of them!
Varda Valar: The wights were actually human, corpses animated by evil
spirits (Melkor's probably lesser Maiar).
Arien V: ah right .. interesting
Varda Valar: But aye, they could have been twisted into orcs, maybe
became ancient.
Varda Valar: Uruk-hai were orcs crossed with humans, and therefore
could have had those two elves in their background from way back.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Right!
Ar-Pharazon-V: The genes go everywhere.
Varda Valar: Some of the orcs seemed to have been quite long-lived
Ar-Pharazon-V: What if one of the 2 was captured and the other rescued?
Maian blood all over the place!
Varda Valar: Saruman may have picked from the largest, strongest orcs
to make his.
Varda Valar: heh. Maybe so. The twins would not have wanted to
separate, so they would each have had to believe the other dead.
Varda Valar: Yet their twin bond might still have made them feel
something of the other.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Well, Elves were rather spiritual like that, so who
knows?
Arien V: disquietening thought ^^ if an elf would feel what an orc
might feel
Varda Valar: Nightmare time.
Arien V: uhu sounds like it#
Arien V: Thank you Varda :-) That was very interesting and enlightening
.. we went where no Valarrite went before .. no that was
something else or/
Varda Valar: Aye, we went where no Valarite has gone before. :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: So many directions to choose from!
Varda Valar: All at once in an expanding sphere!
Arien V: So lert us head then to new worlds .. even when the temper of
our heroe's hearts , weakened by time and fate , yet it never when went
erring ways .. to seek, to find and never give up :-)
Arien V: and return to Mandos halls and the trees of Aman and the
towers of Tirion
Ar-Pharazon-V: Where's that from?
Arien V: Odyssey by O ' Shaughenneysey adapted free translated from the
book of "Dead poets society" ^^
Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah :-)
Arien V: not sure if the spelling is right though of the name .. Varda?
Varda Valar: Odyssey?
Arien V: Odyseey and the author?
Ar-Pharazon-V: O'Shaughenysneysney?
Arien V: Arhur O' some or orther
Ar-Pharazon-V: Interesting name to misspell.
Varda Valar: Odyssey is right
Varda Valar: at least when the author is Homer.
Ar-Pharazon-V: True.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Easier to spell, as well.
Varda Valar: ^^
Arien V: hehe :-) we return over the rainbow bridge to Tol Errresea and
Middlearth where Tulkas offers us a wide selection of gavels
Arien V: which one should we pick?
Varda Valar: http://mentalfloss.com/article/59232/15-facts-about-dead-poets-society
Arien V: *looks through the selection and picks one that shimmers in
all colors*
Arien V: seems to be "ulysses" by Lord Tennyson [On Bartleby: "Ulysses" by Lord
Tennyson]
Arien V: its the only i can find
Ar-Pharazon-V: Ulysses is a modern variant of the Odyssey, as I recall.
I've only read the latter, though.
Arien V: It has been such a long time i saw the film or read the
book but the verses still stick
Varda Valar: Fangorn found Dead Poets Society as a book for sale
Arien V: I was so impressed when I heard it read
Arien V: when i got hold of the book i learned it by heart ^^ it was
just in German
Varda Valar: Novel was based on the movie though
Arien V: aye#
Varda Valar: Yay for Tolkien homage. :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Movie was on tv here last week, I think. Didn't watch
it. Seemed a bit heavy.
Arien V: *bangs the gavel .. lights spreads in all directions and falls
to ground in a colourful rain*
top
Arien V: Aftermeeting
:-) sorry folks have to watch the time a bit
Ar-Pharazon-V: Alright :-)
Arien V: continue feel free as you wish :-) i loved the film .. yes a
bit heavy but brilliant acting
Arien V: and some funny bits too
Arien V: here is the original of that poem section from the Ulysses
Arien V: 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world. Push off, and sitting
well in order smite The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds To sail
beyond the sunset, and the baths Of all the western stars, until I die.
It may be that the gulfs will wash us down: It may be we shall touch
the Happy Isles, [5] And see the great Achilles, whom we knew. Tho'
much is taken, much abides; and tho' We are not now that strength which
in old days Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; One
equal temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time and fate, but strong
in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
Varda Valar: Thank you, Arien.
Ar-Pharazon-V: That last line does ring a vague bell.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Probably quoted in many, many different contexts.
Varda Valar: To go where no man has gone before is shorter, but that's
lovely. :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: hehe
Arien V: :-D
Arien V: Namarie my friends :-)
Arien V: i ll see you next week
Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!
Arien V (AriehnV) has left the room.
Varda Valar: Namarie
Ar-Pharazon-V: Personal gaming news!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Let's start with flashgames.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Right, had to test something in one of them...
Ar-Pharazon-V: http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/alien_complex
is the first one! Simple shooter, walk around complexes of rooms, shoot
aliens of various types, gather some upgrades and weapons and ammo on
the way for that session.
Ar-Pharazon-V: When you die, your xp gets added to a total; there are
milestones for total experience that unlock new weapons you can get or
types of character you can play with. Only unlocked 3 so far, but there
does seem to be a progression in stats, so I assume that if you get far
enough, you'll have significantly more powerful characters to play with.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Even so, which character has more points in what stats
does differ, so you can choose for your playstyle as well.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Note, though, the little screen seems a bit zoomed in
which makes it so you can't see the lower and right edges. This can be
fixed by rightclicking on the game and setting the view.
Ar-Pharazon-V: http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/miami_rex
is a game where you have to walk around with a t-rex, eating people and
destroying vehicles to get stars. Use stars to unlock better armor for
your dinosaur. Silly, fun, and upgrades, what more could you want?
Ar-Pharazon-V: Now for the last one I'll give some backstory.
Ar-Pharazon-V: A good few years back before I spent all my time with
multiple blizzard games and kongregate badges, I came upon a nice short
flashgame series/genre called Grow.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Pretty much all the games come down to the same
principle: You have a world or smaller gamescreen, with various items
listed at the bottom (or the side). Each item provides one element to
the world you're growing, elements interact with each other, and slowly
the story unfolds.
Ar-Pharazon-V: The goal here is to try things out and see what works
with what, to come up with the perfect order to get all elements to the
maximum level and let the growing play out.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Some of them also have secret endings for using a
different, often totally random order to get some silly scenario out of
it, often involving aliens.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Now the shortest games had only 3 different items, while
the biggest ones would go up to 10 or more.. you can imagine a lot of
content being up for testing in those.
Ar-Pharazon-V: And because the effects are all fixed, a simple
walkthrough would suffice every time if you just want to see the thing
unfold.. and in most cases, all there is to do is choose the order to
apply stuff in.
Ar-Pharazon-V: So it doesn't require much skill, but is fun and cute to
do if you've got some time to spare.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Fast-forward to this week, one of the sites I check for
games featured a new Grow-game, while I hadn't thought about the series
in ages. I could give you that link, but I found out the game got
updated later, though not on this particular website, to get a secret
halloween ending... in any case, I thought it best to link the game
itself on the main Grow-website, and let you explore all the others
too. I'm sure there have been several more games produced in the series
since I last played, so I'll have to explore them myself as well!
Ar-Pharazon-V: So here, have a classic fairytale at http://www.eyezmaze.com/eyezblog_en/blog/2016/10/grow_cinderella.html
and if you like the gameplay, go explore the site :-) [Note: Eyezmaze]
Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, and there are a few other games in the same artstyle
as well, such as an rpg puzzle game called Dwarf Complete, which is
quite big and quite fulfilling for the completionists among us ;-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: After all that, here's some Blizzard games!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Diablo 3:
Finally poked it this afternoon, after worrying all my items from last
season had expired in the mail. Turns out I still had about 10 days
left, so yay!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Stashed or cleared all the items, rebirthed my crusader
(again) and she's ready for play when I have a bit more time. Still,
preparations have been made!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Heroes of the Storm:
Got all my active heroes to level 8 now except Artanis, who's on the
brink. The current heroes' brawl is interesting, but slow. A one-lane
map with no hearthing back to base, but heal items that spawn on
various spots along the edge. No bonus objectives, and everyone plays a
random hero.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Needless to say, all 3 times I played for the portrait
and gold-reward, I got something I'd never played before... but though
when it came to new heroes I always did some research prior to my first
game, I actually found out that it can be quite easy to learn them as
you play as well, though talent combinations you choose might not
always make sense.
Ar-Pharazon-V: I might actually reconsider the way I play new heroes
now, and I might even have switched to playing random if we didn't get
daily quests :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: But yeah, when you do the brawl, just know that it can
take quite a while to punch through; all my games tended to go well
over 20 minutes.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Especially when both teams are about equally matched -
with only one lane to go, you can't go around and hit weak spots or
turn things around with a bonus objective.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Still, we won 2 out of 3 games, so you don't really need
to know what you're doing to make a difference ;-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Hearthstone:
This week's brawl was a new one, inspired by the Wizard of Oz
Karazhan-event. Each side gets a Dorothy - minions played on her left
side get charge, minions played on the right get taunt.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Choose 10 cards for your deck, get 3 of each.
Ar-Pharazon-V: I had a bit of fun with a Dreadsteed warlock deck: the
Dreadsteed's deathrattle of resummoning itself makes for some
interesting synergy with the charge and taunt mechanics.
Ar-Pharazon-V: WoW:
Ar-Pharazon-V: Not actually that much to tell! Bit more raiding, got
one or two more pieces from heroic Emerald Nightmare. Didn't kill
Xavius this reset, that will happen on tuesday when I'm not there ;-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Finished activating all the pre-set followers in the old
garrison, at one a day; now I'm continuing on the inn-recruited
followers. Few more weeks and they should catch up, at which point I
can just leave the ones I recruit every week active and leave it there.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Questing-wise I've been able to put a bit of time into
Highmountain, getting the skinning and leatherworking quests done, as
well as some other shorter questlines, taking me all over the zone,
making me aware of other side quests I'll have to visit when my
questlog's not as full...
Ar-Pharazon-V: and collecting 2 new cooking recipes, yay
Ar-Pharazon-V: Those quests also gave me a bit of meat to put Nomi the
chef back to work for a few days, maybe I'll get some more recipes from
that.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Appearance-wise I'm still doing Molten Core and
Blackwing Lair once a week, slowly getting some new stuff there. The
other days I've been going to Ruins of Ahn'qiraj with a daily lock-out,
but pickings have been slow. So not getting much new. Still plodding on!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Lessee.. guess there's more to report than I thought..
I'll add that our little monday group has added the 3 raids with new
collectible pets from the Wrath expansion to our weekly routine.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Not much luck with pet droprate, but I did get a little
Blightbreath pet from Professor Putricide in ICC, and started gathering
the shards of Valanyr from Ulduar for one of the legendary weapons I'm
still missing.
Ar-Pharazon-V: (the last one I can still get on my druid, in fact)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, and finally, speaking of pets, I got Broot from my
druid class hall, the little tree, modelled after an ancient of lore
and referring to a certain tree-person in a movie I've not seen, but
heard many references to.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Forgot! This week's weekly quest is winning 5 pvp pet
battles. Made sure to do them from my garrison to help a small bit with
the 2000 pet fights in Draenor achievement, though that alone's not
going to get me there :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Got an epic battlestone for my troubles, but I'll keep
it for now; I'd like to use it on a snobold runt that might drop as one
of the collection of raid-pets, since it has a special ability so far
only seen on the turnip: weakening blow, an attack that never kills,
very good for catching pets in the wild.
Ar-Pharazon-V: *collection of new raid-pets
Ar-Pharazon-V: And that's my report for this week!
Varda Valar: Thank you, Phar :-)
Varda Valar: Namarie
Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!
Varda Valar (VardaValar1) has left the room.
Ar-Pharazon-V: saving and sending transcript
