Before-meeting
You have just entered room "valarguildmeetingplace."
VardaValar1 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Phar :-)
ArPharazonV: Aiya!
AriehnV has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Sunshine :-)
AriehnV: Aiya all :-)
ArPharazonV: Aiya Arien!
AriehnV: beat you eh Phari :-)?
ArPharazonV: *grin* didn't beat me to the channel, but you did get in before I warned you :P
VardaValar1: :-)
PallandoValar has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Sending invitations
VardaValar1: Aiya Pallando :-)
AriehnV: aiya Pallando
ArPharazonV: Aiya Pallando!
PallandoValar: Aiya
ArPharazonV: In the meantime I'm still somewhat busy in WoW on the
apexis crystal quest, in a group of 30 people killing mobs somewhere in
Frostfire Ridge until the counter hits 100.
ArPharazonV: Going quite fast in a raid like this :-)
AriehnV: yep i done it before its good
ArPharazonV: I always do the apexis daily. Apexis crystals are a cheap
currency for seals you can use to get extra loot in real raids.
ArPharazonV: There are other uses too, but I haven't gotten around to them yet, because they need gold too ;-)
PallandoValar: And peopel call Eve excessively complex..
VardaValar1: :-)
VardaValar1: Boring if a game is too simple
PallandoValar: We only have 3 forms of currency, and if you want, you
can use the one to buy anythign the other two make off market.. :-P
ArPharazonV: Not that difficult if you get the hang of it. There only
are 3 really useful currencies active right now, and only a few items
that need a combination of them.
ArPharazonV: And most of the purchases that require apexis or garrison resources, only need to be bought once.
ArPharazonV: Except the seals :-)
PallandoValar: I prefer Eve. Get filthy rich, pay other peopel to do all of the fiddly bits..
ArPharazonV: haha
PallandoValar: I regularly pay 25-50% markup so that other people go out and buy ships+fittings for me and then fit them up.
ArPharazonV: Aaaand out of WoW for today.
VardaValar1: Sounds as if we're about ready. :-)
ArPharazonV: Capitalism, so useful ;-)
PallandoValar: :-D
VardaValar1: I'm hanging out in LotRO to be available to two people
running characters through the intro that want a kin invitation when
they are out.
VardaValar1: Yay for the free market. :-)

VardaValar1: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
VardaValar1: A star shines on the hour of our meeting!
VardaValar1: Membership:
VardaValar1: Elladan, Hamson Gorlim, and Fangorn say hi from LotRO. :-)
VardaValar1: Any membership news from anyone here?
VardaValar1: Have you seen some of our members in your gaming, so we can put them down as still active?
VardaValar1: Helm, Aragorn, others?
VardaValar1: Let me know when you have the chance. :-)

VardaValar1: Web:
VardaValar1: Eonwe has new info up for us on the Games Site, that we'll move to in the Gaming section.
VardaValar1: Your reviews of games are welcome, including WoW, LotRO, and EVE. ;-)
VardaValar1: Just toss the review to him in an email for putting on the site.
VardaValar1: Tolkien Site:
VardaValar1: Art from the Bohemian Weasel-(T)
VardaValar1: This is stuff she did for a production number now on
YouTube, as the pictures for the credits like the end of the LotR.
AriehnV: i ve seen Menel online
early mornings or late at night but didnt get to talk , Helm is
sometimes online but he is quite busy with real life at the oment
VardaValar1: It's supposed to be a parody but turned into mostly a tribute. :-)
VardaValar1: Sounds familiar. Fortunately we're casual as well as
raiders. :-) Most of us understand the concept of family and work, with
gaming as a fun side thing.
VardaValar1: If you disappear into the fairly long musical, warn me ahead of time. :-)
VardaValar1: It's of Sam trying to persuade Frodo to throw the Ring into the fire.
VardaValar1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wNnbMCrtZg&x-yt-cl=84503534&x-yt-ts=1421914688
VardaValar1: I'll list off the pics (more than in the video) in the order of the book narrative in a sec.
ArPharazonV: Oh, besides it being LotR, I also love anything parodying Frozen ;-)
VardaValar1: Meriadoc-(V) sent in a link on historical archery that is pretty mind-boggling:
VardaValar1: (Phar, they also did Frozen. It's Hillywood)
ArPharazonV: Yeah, but Let It Go is a Frozen song.
VardaValar1: Oh right. :-)
VardaValar1: They did a great job mixing the two up. Fits very well.
VardaValar1: The archery video link is:
VardaValar1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-ts=1421914688&v=BEG-ly9tQGk&x-yt-cl=84503534
VardaValar1: While you're all disappearing into video land, I'll post the paintings from the Bohemian Weasel. :-)
VardaValar1: (I may crash out swapping between multiple programs.)
VardaValar1: "Leaving the Shire" Sam and Frodo walking in the field past comfort represented in the background by a house.
VardaValar1: "Campfire" Sam and Frodo camping on the way out of the Shire.
VardaValar1: "Weep" Sam after the fall of Gandalf
VardaValar1: "Remembering" Frodo after the fall of Gandalf
VardaValar1: "Dealing" Sam and Frodo dealing with the loss of Gandalf.
VardaValar1: "Osgiliath" Frodo follows the Nazgul's call to the Ring (movie only).
VardaValar1: "Into Mordor" Frodo and Sam entering the Emym Muil bordering Mordor.
VardaValar1: "Passing By" Frodo, Sam, and Gollum try to go past the Watching Stones.
VardaValar1: "Phial" Sam uses a weapon vs Shelob: the phial of Galadriel
VardaValar1: "Sting" Sam uses Sting vs Shelob
VardaValar1: "Exhausted" On the slope of Mt. Doom, Frodo is exhausted from lack of sleep, food, water, and the weight of the One Ring.
VardaValar1: "Carry" Sam can't carry the Ring, so he carries Frodo.
ArPharazonV: Ooh, I know the background music in that archery video.. it's a Kevin Macleod track.
VardaValar1: Thanks. Good to know.
VardaValar1: "Claim" Frodo claims the One Ring at the fires of Mt. Doom.
VardaValar1: "Eye and Mt. Doom" The One Ring is destroyed in Mt. Doom and the effect travels to Sauron and his works, destroying them (movie version). Mordor.
ArPharazonV: I think it's the track Five Armies... *checks*
VardaValar1: "Goodbye" Frodo and Sam can't make it back from Mt. Doom on their own.
VardaValar1: "A ride home". Eagles.
VardaValar1: "A happier goodbye". Frodo and Sam at the docks.
VardaValar1: "Goodbye to Frodo". At the docks: Pippin, Merry, and Sam say goodbye to Frodo. Sam will not have to ride home alone.
VardaValar1: "Rewarded" Frodo at the dock about to go to Valinor for healing and happiness.
VardaValar1: "Sailing Away" Ship leaves to Valinor with Frodo aboard.
VardaValar1: Done.
VardaValar1: That's a job just to list, let alone actually do the art!
ArPharazonV: Yep, it's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfP68bJy5P8 Five Armies. Possibly named after a certain Hobbit event, not sure ;-) [Note: music on You Tube for Battle of Five Armies]
ArPharazonV: And yes, that's a lot of art. And very lifelike too.
ArPharazonV: Could almost be taken directly from the film and just treated with something ;-)
VardaValar1: Those were art shots added to the film. You can see how they wrote over them.
VardaValar1: She took her art and made it all with the same kind of
coloring and style. Some are reworks of stuff already on our site.

VardaValar1: Gaming:
VardaValar1: News from the Games site:
VardaValar1: WoW:
VardaValar1: Patch 6.1 is now on the PTR. Check out the patch notes.
VardaValar1: You can also see the latest hotfixes and a preview of Blackrock Foundry.
VardaValar1: Heroes of the Storm:
ArPharazonV: Yep! Gruul's back from the Burning Crusade :-)
VardaValar1: Blizzard is offering a Founder's Pack for sale that gives access to the closed beta, some heroes and
skins, and some gold to get started. See the link for more info.
VardaValar1: Interesting
VardaValar1: LotRO:
VardaValar1: A lot of people are migrating from other servers with low
population to our server, Landroval, where there are lots of people, rp
events by gamers, and pvp.
VardaValar1: Gorlim reports quite an upswing of gamers in the pvmp area.
PallandoValar: NB: the Founder's pack is a bad deal, cost-wise.
VardaValar1: Uh oh.
PallandoValar: if you really want beta access, fine. but that's what you're paying for. they're really gouging you otherwise.
ArPharazonV: Well, I suppose it's for a guarantee of 3 heroes and some unique skins?
ArPharazonV: And of course supporting the foundation of the game, as the name suggests :-)
PallandoValar: yeah
PallandoValar: I'm sorry, Blizzard doesn't need crowdfunding. sorry to intterupt, anyways
VardaValar1: That's gaming news, not an interruption. Thanks for the input.
VardaValar1: Anyway, those of us in LotRO need to be scouting for potential new members during this heavy influx of players.
VardaValar1: People who have read LotR and are courteous, that we would
be happy to be around for the next seventeen or so years. :-)
VardaValar1: SWTOR: Sauron has been more active there again
VardaValar1: Dungeon Age: Inquisition: Bilbo and Sauron still game there
VardaValar1: not as much as when it was shiny and new.
VardaValar1: Any other gaming news?
ArPharazonV: Yupyup, just mentioning that this weekend (and monday, tomorrow) is another open server test for Legends of Equestria.
ArPharazonV: This MLP fangame MMO is still under production, unlike
many previous ambitious fan-projects which dropped out, and still free
:-) You can download the client at http://www.legendsofequestria.com/ under one of the most recent posts.
ArPharazonV: Among the new features this time is a launcher which you
can also use to download and update the game, and it should remain
viable for future versions.
VardaValar1: Launchers seem to work out for WoW and LotRO.
ArPharazonV: I haven't spent much time in it yet, but plan to log in
again before this meeting is over and give some impressions of any
improvements I see in the aftermeeting :-)
VardaValar1: We'd like to hear about that, thanks.
ArPharazonV: And that's the gaming news from me!
ArPharazonV: General news that is.
PallandoValar: Was in Dallas for work last week, so nothing really new. Offer's open as ever for anyone interested in Eve. I'm filthy rich and you can be too! Next eve-o update is in a few weeks. New ship, and a bunch of QoL improvements.
VardaValar1: Great offer, thanks!
PallandoValar: Gearbox released a teaser trailer for the Homeworld re-release: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXjI3DgyOqM
PallandoValar: Graphics updates look beautiful, and they hired the original artists and voice actors to redo cutscenes in HD.
PallandoValar: It _is_ Gearbox, so I'm not pre-ordering but.. I'll probably get it release day.
PallandoValar: And then not do anything else as I replay every campaign level..
VardaValar1: hehe
PallandoValar: There's also some sort of HW1+2 multiplayer-abomination. I'm sure I'll throw a few hundred hours at that as well.
VardaValar1: Of course. :-)
PallandoValar: That's it from me.
VardaValar1: Thank you all for the info! Much appreciated.
VardaValar1: Any other business, suggestions, concerns?
VardaValar1: Compliments to each other are also good. :-)
VardaValar1: I am proud of everyone in this guild in all the branches.
Thank you all for sticking with it so long and helping out!
VardaValar1: If anyone has a Tolkien topic, let me know. Otherwise I have one for you.
VardaValar1: Tolkien Moments also welcome, good discussion springboards.
VardaValar1: Feel free to add to discussion topics on the Forurm.

VardaValar1: Tolkien:
VardaValar1: Anyone available to chat, please type Eonwe
VardaValar1: Eonwe
ArPharazonV: Eonwe
AriehnV: Eonwe
VardaValar1: Thank you. :-)
VardaValar1: What is heroism, in Tolkien's legendarium?
VardaValar1: If you don't see a way to define it, who is someone that displayed heroism?
ArPharazonV: Let's start with Sam!
VardaValar1: He's heroic for sure.
ArPharazonV: Facing big bad enemies to protect Frodo, going with him
all the way to Mount Doom, fighting for his friend/master as well as
the safety of his home.
VardaValar1: Not a hobbit of great means or high blood lines, yet he
had the opportunity to go along on a great quest. Was he really dragged
into it, or did he kind of want to go?
VardaValar1: True!
VardaValar1: If he hadn't been folllowing Frodo, would he still have been a hero?
karakedi25 has entered the room.
ArPharazonV: While Gandalf did kind of drag him into it, it was
something he had been planning all along anyway, as the conspiracy
shows.
karakedi25: aiya
ArPharazonV: Aiya!
VardaValar1: Aiya Indis :-)
karakedi25: not feeling too well, so I just popped in to say hi
VardaValar1: Glad you made it. :-)
VardaValar1: We were just discussing what makes a hero in Tolkien's legendarium. :-)
VardaValar1: Sam was up as an example
AriehnV: hi Indis and hope you get well soon
ArPharazonV: Well, Fatty Bolger didn't follow Frodo, but his job was
quite heroic nonetheless, even if he did not fully understand the
extent of the danger he was in.
VardaValar1: Even if he had never had the chance to go on the quest to
destroy the One Ring, he still had the personality that made him able
to do heroic acts.
AriehnV: courage , courage makes a hero *nod*
VardaValar1: Degrees of heroism, aye.
VardaValar1: Courage, doing something that can be frightening despite
one's fears. Maybe out of a sense of duty, just see that it needs done?
ArPharazonV: Duty, sure. Loyalty. Friendship too :-)
VardaValar1: Well said
VardaValar1: Friendship, love for another in the pure sense.
ArPharazonV: Even if Gandalf had not sent him, even if Gandalf had not
made him promise, even if Sam didn't think of Frodo as his "master", I
still think he would've done the exact same thing every step of the way.
VardaValar1: JRRT was doing a tribute to yeomen he had known in the war, with Sam's character.
VardaValar1: Agreed. It was in Sam's nature.
VardaValar1: Boromir was actually on a different quest than the others. He was fighting for Gondor.
VardaValar1: Was he a hero?
ArPharazonV: For the most part, Boromir did what he did out of duty and loyalty to his father and kingdom.
AriehnV: being able to see the greater need before ones own .. before
he died he was ready to accept Aragorn as king despite it meat the loss
of the regency for his own family
ArPharazonV: He was brave, sure, but heroic.. not always. It wasn't
until he repented from taking the Ring and protecting the other Hobbits
that his heroism really came to the surface.
VardaValar1: He went alone despite great hardship and danger to learn the meaning behind the dream, to serve Gondor.
ArPharazonV: At that point he wasn't just doing what his father wanted.. but what he knew was right.
VardaValar1: He wasn't operating on the same set of priorties as the
others until after he fell to Ring, and discovered that it was really
dangerous.
VardaValar1: Was Frodo a hero?
ArPharazonV: Well, he was told repeatedly that it had to be him, that
it was fate, that the world relied on it being *him* to do the deed, so
he didn't have too much of a choice beyond running away and hiding from
everyone big that came looking for him... which in the case of the
Black Riders wouldn't have done too much good either.
ArPharazonV: But he still stuck to it no matter the suffering he faced
and which increased as he went along, and was never swayed by the Ring
until the last moment, so I'd call that heroic.
VardaValar1: Yet, at the Council of Elrond, he thought he had a choice.
VardaValar1: Aye to that
VardaValar1: He saw the need, didn't want to have to do it, but did it anyway, believing he would surely die in the doing.
ArPharazonV: Agreed.
VardaValar1: He was not supposed to have to be so alone at the end. He had a fellowship with him.
VardaValar1: Aragorn?
VardaValar1: A hero so far seems to be someone who does what he believes needs to be done despite hardship.
VardaValar1: Aragorn could have done as all the chieftains before him had, instead of going up against Mordor.
VardaValar1: Sam could have left Frodo to do his journey with a wizard, didn't have to have another hobbit, right?
VardaValar1: What about Merry and Pippin? Were they heroes?
AriehnV: they were crucial in getting the ents behind "their cause"
VardaValar1: They were useful, at least. :-)
ArPharazonV: Sure. They too went along with Frodo and Sam out of
friendship and loyalty, and even when they were seperated and
(seemingly) working on different purposes, they did their part.
VardaValar1: Aye
AriehnV: that is that was the greater one , they saw it was necessary to have them to get rid of the orcs
ArPharazonV: Never cowering away, always getting ready to join in the action and doing what they knew had to be done.
AriehnV: i am not sure whether they thought they d be reunited with the rest of the party
VardaValar1: They decoyed the orcs away from Frodo so that he could escape with the Ring.
ArPharazonV: Both Merry in Rohan and Pippin in Gondor geared up
militarily and were eager to join the fight and make heroes out of
themselves, despite people telling them they shouldn't.
VardaValar1: Aye, they went ahead on their own, trying to do the right thing, even if it might be dangerous.
ArPharazonV: Merry was a bit more successful in defying that advice, but their heroic intentions were close enough :-)
VardaValar1: Pippin went against Denethor to save Faramir
ArPharazonV: That's true.
ArPharazonV: Doing the right thing in the face of superior orders did not confine itself to joining the battle.
VardaValar1: Aye to that
VardaValar1: Was Gimli heroic?
ArPharazonV: I think dwarves were heroic by default.
ArPharazonV: Unless you want to call it reckless and stubborn.
ArPharazonV: But hey, thin line :-)
AriehnV: both killed something big if i recall
VardaValar1: He was the son of Gloin, a hero of Thorin's Company.
VardaValar1: Merry and Pippin? Aye, they did.
AriehnV: Pippin cut the sinew of the black headguy and Merry was it a troll chieftain?
VardaValar1: Merry helped Eowyn destroy the Witch-king, a huge thing.
ArPharazonV: Those two are pretty big, yes.
VardaValar1: Pippin killed the troll chieftain at the Black Gate, saving Beregond
ArPharazonV: They fell pretty hard, too. One of them on top of Pippin, if I recall.
VardaValar1: Aye, knocked Pippin out. He thought he was dead.
VardaValar1: Merry was out of it after his attack, found in the field by Pippin later.
ArPharazonV: Behind a Mumakil, in the movie. Out of the sun?
VardaValar1: Just one of a pile of bodies in a big battlefield. Think
he was located by his hairy foot? Anyone have the book handy?
VardaValar1: Not very far from me (In a different room), will look.
ArPharazonV: Useful, when nothing else works :-)
AriehnV: yup
AriehnV: which chapter?
VardaValar1: found it
VardaValar1: I was wrong
VardaValar1: Merry was confused but made it to town, in The Houses of Healing
VardaValar1: Pippin found him wandering in the town.
ArPharazonV: Ah, I remember, he made it to the city himself. Must've taken a lot out of him.
VardaValar1: That was unclear above. Beginning of chapter 8, Houses of Healing
VardaValar1: He was uncertain of where he was, and couldn't use his right arm
VardaValar1: Merry was trying to follow the bodies of Theoden and Eowyn
VardaValar1: Still loyal. :-)
VardaValar1: Shall we shift over to After-meeting now?
ArPharazonV: Does seem a common trait of the hobbity heroes.
VardaValar1: Agreed, great loyalty in them.
VardaValar1: Maybe that powerful feeling of family from how they were raised.
ArPharazonV: Could be. You grow up with the same people, working with them, and never abandoning them.
AriehnV: there was something i think Pippin recognised on the battlefield by the foot by Gimli wasnt it
VardaValar1: End of book 5 is where Pippin falls, but I haven't found
the spot yet where Gimli says he found Pippin by his hairy foot. I
believe you're right, just haven't found it yet.
VardaValar1: I'm swinging the gavel to let Phar give his news while I
keep digging. Makes me wish for a searchable ebook type copy. :-)
VardaValar1: *swings hammer*
ArPharazonV: Would probably be somewhere in the Cormallen chapter, in a flashback?
ArPharazonV: Allright.
VardaValar1: *ker-phlomp!*
VardaValar1: After-meeting!
VardaValar1: Feel free to look, Phar. :-)
karakedi25: namarie
karakedi25 has left the room.
VardaValar1: Namarie Indis
ArPharazonV: Namarie!
ArPharazonV: Well, for aftermeeting, I'll give my personal gaming news first then.
ArPharazonV: WoW: As of today, my raidgroup has defeated Imperator
Mar'gok, 7th and last boss of the first raid in Warlords of Draenor, on
heroic difficulty (more heroic, fits the topic!)
ArPharazonV: We'd first beaten the first 6 bosses on normal mode, then
heroic mode, but Mar'gok is a lot longer, more complex and, simply put,
more difficult than the others by quite a margin.
ArPharazonV: We had tried him on normal after killing the first 6 on
normal, but honestly.. doing the other 6 on heroic was just easier.
ArPharazonV: And when we had 6 heroic done we just skipped normal Mar'gok altogether and focused on heroic difficulty instead.
ArPharazonV: Took quite a few attempts, and mastering it one phase at a
time, but once we got phase 3 down consistently, phase 4 just fell into
place.
ArPharazonV: So I wouldn't say it's a fluke, and look forward to
fighting him again next week as we wait for the new raid to be released
:-)
VardaValar1: (Phar was right. I looked right over it in The Field of
Cormallen. Arien was right that Gimli found Pippin by his hobbit-type
foot under the troll.)
ArPharazonV: Ah! Great, so we both had elements right.
VardaValar1: (Fast scan find, just before Legolas' song of the gulls.)
VardaValar1: Oh, more on WoW, from Eonwe:
ArPharazonV: So we got the achievement for defeating the raid on
"heroic or higher" before the curve; that is, before the next raid was
released. That's promising for the rest of the expansion. We'll also be
trying the place on the highest difficulty, Mythic, but there's less
pressure to do so.
ArPharazonV: Ah, sure :-)
VardaValar1: Personal gaming:1.) Now at 200 mounts. Got exalted with
the Council of Exarchs so I decided to buy their mount. Well, actually
201 mounts, since the achievement for 200 mounts gives a mount, hehe.
49 mounts to the next achievement.
VardaValar1: 2.) Solo'd ICC 25man heroic. I've been able to solo up to
Dragon Soul 10-man successfully (final raid of Cataclysm). No luck yet
soloing MoP raids.
VardaValar1: Oh pardon, you were quiet from typing. :-) I'm done.
ArPharazonV: Sure :-) And grats Eonwe!
ArPharazonV: I finally got back to questing normally, finishing up
Spires of Arak and pushing into Nagrand.. about a month later than
expected, but eh, time can be a precious resource.
ArPharazonV: Also, in the garrison, I replaced my lumber mill (after
getting all the achievements and followers for it) with a trading post
now, a good way to get rid of excess resources from the barn, mine, and
herb garden, while still getting plenty of garrison resources as a
result.
AriehnV: Personal gaming on Lotro .. been playing through quite a few
epic chapters of is it Book IV in Mirkwood or still III? something like
that :-)
AriehnV: and got the guardian up to 68 now
AriehnV: on WoW leveling on and off Alliance .. pleased to see an old friend there last week
ArPharazonV: All my 20 active followers have finally maxed out at epic
level, and I've started deactivating them one at a time to get
followers that I'd gained, but kept inactive, in the levelling and
gearing rotation, while still keeping a good inventory of varied
abilities and traits for missions. Going to be tricky, but I want to
get all 46 pre-set followers maxed out eventually.
AriehnV: cool
ArPharazonV: Tricky, because the limit of active followers remains at 20 for me for now :-)
ArPharazonV: *ponders*
ArPharazonV: Hearthstone!
ArPharazonV: Or do you want to continue with WoW, Arien? What old friend? :-)
AriehnV: Trasric :-)
AriehnV: is he still playing?
ArPharazonV: Oh yes! Trasric's back. Old friend of mine too, and still in The High Guard.
AriehnV: cool
ArPharazonV: He was raiding with Innovation, my raidgroup, until he
disappeared in the Cataclysm expansion, and now seems to be busy
levelling and catching up on old achievements. I hope that he'll join
us in raids again in the future.
ArPharazonV: Hearthstone! January season almost over. This month I've
basically upgraded my basic decks with some good Naxxramas cards that
are useful in nearly every deck; mainly the creepers and the
abomination tanks (sludge belchers, I believe). This led to a lucky
soaring in rank this week when I got some quests for classes I'm more
successful with, going from 19-20 all the way to rank 16.
ArPharazonV: Of course, then I got a few dailies for some classes I'm
not so good at, and dropped again ;-) But still, I've not gone that
high in a few months, so it feels pretty decent. No fear of dropping to
the bottom of the rankings and being unable to do my dailies.
ArPharazonV: All my classes are over halfway to 32 now. Should start hitting it in a few weeks.
ArPharazonV: Flashgaming: I'll give one game I've played this week, for those who like bewejeled-like games with a twist.
ArPharazonV: http://www.kongregate.com/games/KingDotCom/kings-guard
is a mix of the upgrade/defense-genre and the bejeweled game. Some
things are a bit vague, but overall I thought it was quite nice to play.
ArPharazonV: And that's it for me! I'll now head into Legends of
Equestria and see what's different from last time, will make small
reports as I go along :-)
ArPharazonV: Seems the servers are different from last time, as the one
I'd played on the last 2 or 3 times is not available. But that's
allright, the characters were wiped anyway.
ArPharazonV: I still have a file here with the information I need to recreate my character ;-)
ArPharazonV: Character creation screen looks a bit more streamlined.
ArPharazonV: Better overview of the sections.
AriehnV: :-)
ArPharazonV: Not sure what I just did, but lost the chatbox.
AriehnV: hmmm quite fun that bejewelled version
ArPharazonV: Which means it's also no use asking around what I did ;-)
ArPharazonV: This calls for a forum visit.
VardaValar1: Good luck on the forum visit
ArPharazonV: Well, resetting the game data seemed to help, and didn't even lose my character, yay!
VardaValar1: Woot!
ArPharazonV: Some new quests, accompanied by new errors and bugs ;-)
AriehnV: :right bed time :-)
ArPharazonV: Namarie!
AriehnV: Namarie for now :-)
AriehnV has left the room.
ArPharazonV: Oh, there are golden questionmarks etc for quests, that's
an improvement, makes it easier to find the right npcs :-)
ArPharazonV: Looks like they haven't fixed the chatbox yet, keeps scrolling back to the top.
ArPharazonV: Lots of people gathering in places from the show, doing
community things, dancing or doing sorts of games together... that
happens every open weekend, says a lot about the atmosphere in this
game. As it should be!
ArPharazonV: There are quests as well, but they seem mostly similar to what I've already seen :-) Maybe I'll try some tomorrow.
ArPharazonV: Seems to be some new music in places.
ArPharazonV: This is new. They put in the crystal kingdom.
ArPharazonV: Allright, took some pictures there, and now time to log off :-)
ArPharazonV: I'll explore some more tomorrow!
ArPharazonV: saving and sending transcript
ArPharazon-V (7:15:35 PM CST, 8:15 EST): saved
ArPharazon-V (7:23:16 PM): and sent
Varda Valar (7:23:25 PM): Thank you, Phar. :-)
Varda Valar (7:23:30 PM): Sounds pretty
ArPharazon-V (7:23:42 PM): Oh, for what it's worth, I think I found out how I lost my chatbox..
Varda Valar (7:23:45 PM): Crystal Kingdom
Varda Valar (7:23:51 PM): ahh, could be useful to know
ArPharazon-V (7:24:24 PM): There are some chat
transparency options, and I thought I'd put it on completely solid,
but.. I think it was completely invisible. And changing the option only
does anything after you portal to a new instance or area.
Varda Valar (7:24:39 PM): ah hah
ArPharazon-V (7:24:55 PM): And yes, Crystal Kingdom
is nice, but it was dark when I just went there, I'll try during the
day tomorrow, should make better pictures!
ArPharazon-V (7:27:52 PM): Namarie!
Varda Valar (7:28:07 PM): Namarie!
