Other than my upcoming convention trip on Saturday, nothing new! With
any luck I should survive the masses of people and be alive for meeting
the next day :-)

ArPharazonV: Hearth's Warming Eve con, an MLP convention nearby.
ArPharazonV: Never been to a convention before, and I'm not exactly an
out-door social type of person, so it'll be interesting.

ArPharazonV: Yes. It's a holiday in that show, and the convention's
named after it. Should be merchandise, panels, workshops...

Well I have been back from holiday last week and i tell you , it doesnt
feel that great ^^
AriehnV: but no other membership news on my side

AriehnV: The holiday itself was fun enough witfh lots of gaming ..

has begun, so time for new seasonal heroes :-)

ArPharazonV: Ah, great :-) Not gotten around to the news eason.
ArPharazonV: Also... not at Starcraft, except for the blogsite and the
story forum. Why?
ArPharazonV: Didn't note any events in the blog.

AriehnV: lets get it out of the way before Indis turns up , if she does

ArPharazonV: Well, fair enough.
AriehnV: Any other games than WoW or LotrO?
ArPharazonV: Hearthstone: No
news, still at level 32, though still doing my dailies. Did upgrade all
my decks from the January changes.
ArPharazonV: WoW: Some more
Foundry raids, some more bosses killed. Heroic Gruul was a pain.
ArPharazonV: Stable quests progressing nicely, only 2 or 3 more days
for the entire set.
ArPharazonV: (just getting personal stuff out of the way here)
AriehnV: very good :-)
ArPharazonV: Almost done questing in Nagrand, next up will be Ring of
Trials.
ArPharazonV: Got another pet from those quests, a little Elekk!
AriehnV: aaah cute ::D
AriehnV: I defeated one of the Pet Menagerie quests , i need to level
the other pets or get a real team together :-\
ArPharazonV: Flashgaming: I'll
give you two games. One is a game where you have go guide a flock of
geese through a bunch of air traffic and survive as long as possible,
while buying upgrades and completing up to 29 achievements. Pretty fun,
but not very long, unless you're really struggling :-)

ArPharazonV: Can be a bit cruel though!
ArPharazonV: Other game: Witch Hunt, defense game where you play a
Witch/sorceress, and have to fight off waves of goblins. Doesn't sound
very original, but there's some original features involved. Some
fanservice, but can be disabled with a single setting.

ArPharazonV: Hmm. I haven't done any Pet Battling in WoW yet in this expansion. Nor any
archaeology. Some features I just like to leave for when I got other
stuff all completed.
ArPharazonV: So can't comment on the menagerie :-)

ArPharazonV: Oh yeah, Love is in the Air event ending next week. Get
your stuff quickly if you're still missing pets or achievements!
AriehnV: yeah i got one suit which we use for pyjamas in rp ^^

AriehnV: ok i ve got a little report from yesterday , even valar guild
related :-)
AriehnV: I asked Menelvagor
to help out a guildmate with his Frostmourne quest so we did a few
bosses and the required things together in a tfhreesome which i think
both Menel and the guildmate enjoyed
ArPharazonV: Great! Good to see Menel active.
AriehnV: We did from the Bloodqueen onwards together :-)
ArPharazonV: Yeah, that vampire stuff needs some people to do.
AriehnV: He also said he wants to stay in contact and associated with
the valar guild for the coming year. I reminded him also of his
roleplay character;-)
ArPharazonV: Haha. What did he have to say about that?
AriehnV: Not much ^^
AriehnV: I didn't have that much time since i needed to go to bed
AriehnV: but it was good to see him again and do things together :-)
AriehnV: Privately i was able to join the guild raid on wednesday and
in a very smooth run we cleared 5 bosses within a very short time so we
could do Kargath on Heroic and tried Tectus
AriehnV: and i got two items loot :-D

AriehnV: Else just did a little bit on lotro today ealier on but
nothing special else . Thats ift on my front
ArPharazonV: Oh, on loot, I got my first new tier-piece from the
Foundry today. Set bonuses look a bit meh for guardian druid, but still
nice.

ArPharazonV: You wouldn't know if Indis is coming in? Not sure if you
have a way to contact her through LotRO.

AriehnV: noone online there today in fact

about doing that without her. But we can give it a go :-)

ArPharazonV: Oh, can try, though I don't have my books here with me,
but I might get them if I can't think of anything ;-)

AriehnV: To start with .. bit of an old hat , but its a good warm up :-)
AriehnV: Frodo and
Bilbo had several things in common. Can you name them?
ArPharazonV: They were both hobbitses!
ArPharazonV: They had the same last name, the same birthday, they were
related in 2 directions so had largely the same ancestry, they both
lived in the same home.
ArPharazonV: They were both Ringbearers.
ArPharazonV: Their first names are of equal length, equal
syllable-count and -length, and end in the same letter :-)
ArPharazonV: Want more?
ArPharazonV: They both stayed in Rivendell for a while, they both left
on a ship to Valinor.
AriehnV: Very good
ArPharazonV: They both seemed to be in a pretty bad state at some point
around the place where the trolls were :-)
AriehnV: they also both were batchelors and liked going adventuring :-)
ArPharazonV: Not sure if they liked it, until they had tried it ;-)
ArPharazonV: Both friends with Gandalf.
AriehnV: well gathered news from "strange folk" , Frodo went to see the
Elves
AriehnV: looked at maps and asked themselves "What is beyond the white
area? " aka unknown territory
ArPharazonV: Terra Incognita.
AriehnV: indeed for those who are able to speak somewhat latin :-)
AriehnV: so yes and both were named "elf friends" as far as i know
AriehnV: Frodo was by Gildor after they met on the road
ArPharazonV: that must've helped with getting a ticket for that boat
AriehnV: Bilbo at least gained their friendship while staying in
Rivendell , if not before . I think he won Thrandruils respect after
his stunt with the Arkenstone and his loyalty to the dwarves. I think
so probably
AriehnV: but i guess also had to do with the fact that their fate both
was tied to the ring
AriehnV: And both suffered for a long and permanent effect even after
it was gone
ArPharazonV: Elves don't want to be on the bad side of a Ringbearer.
AriehnV: I think that about covers it :-)
AriehnV: oh well forgot another thing in common was friendship to
"common folk" like the Gamgees
AriehnV: Bilbo got along with the Gaffer and Frodo with his son
ArPharazonV: Not bad for some well-to-do Hobbits.
AriehnV: Your turn :-)
ArPharazonV: But the social lines were a bit smeared anyway. Merry and
Pippin, while heirs of great houses, considered themselves social
equals, and even a bit delinquent :-)
ArPharazonV: Allright. Among
the free peoples, I can think of 2 races where we expressly don't see
females from. Which are they, and why is that for each of the races?
ArPharazonV: If you need a hint, both races are linked together in
their origin story :-)
AriehnV: err .. we dont see female dwarves ( we get them mentioned but
we dont see them) , the same with the ents
ArPharazonV: Well done! And why is that?
AriehnV: we get the female ents mentioned but they are gone vanished
mysteriously at some point during the first or second age
AriehnV: my guess is the second age because Fangorn mentioned to Merry
and Pippin when they reached their lands they found them devastated and
dead .. AND that sounds like the incoming of the enemy
AriehnV: the brown lands
ArPharazonV: Isn't that mostly from the end of the Second Age, and the
siege of Mordor?
AriehnV: maybe i am not entirely sure about the timing there
AriehnV: but i d think end of second age , early third? but with Ents
and their understanding of time you cant be too sure
ArPharazonV: That's true. Everything's only a short while for them :-)
AriehnV: with dwarves i am not sure why Dwarf woman dont get mention ed
AriehnV: a not quite serious explanation was that nobody could tell the
dwarf woman from the dwarf men and they were there all along :-)
ArPharazonV: Oh, that's probably part of it :-)
ArPharazonV: The other half is that they were rarer, and presumably
adventured less.
AriehnV: indeed
ArPharazonV: Oh, side-mention, Lunar Festival starts tomorrow in WoW.
AriehnV: oh yes indeed :-D
ArPharazonV: No new achievements though.
ArPharazonV: Anyway, you up for more, or want to discuss anything

ArPharazonV: Well, I think I already gave all my personal gaming news.
ArPharazonV: Starting to run out of common cards for the Hearthstone expansion, just getting
duplicates now, and usually a new rare per pack. I said to myself that
I'd go back to the classic packs when I come across one GvG pack with
all duplicates, and it's often skirting the line now :-)
ArPharazonV: Still, every new card is a gain.
AriehnV: :-)
