Before-meeting
You have just entered room "valarguildmeetingplace."
VardaValar1 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Phar :-)
VardaValar1: Thanks for the transcripts!
ArPharazonV: Aiya! Welcome back :-)
VardaValar1: Thanks :-)
ArPharazonV: Was fun had?
VardaValar1: Much!
VardaValar1: You still have 10 minutes if you're in-game, just a tad early.
ArPharazonV: I am.
VardaValar1: Go get 'em!
ArPharazonV: About to deliver a quest to unlock a boss for the brawler's guild.
VardaValar1: Nice!
ArPharazonV: I don't actually brawl, but I like to unlock the bosses ;-)
VardaValar1: hehe - understood
AriehnV has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Sunshine : )
AriehnV: aiya Varda :-)
ArPharazonV: Aiya!
AriehnV: aiya Pharzi :-)
VardaValar1: It's that time. Invites going out now.
ArPharazonV: logging out of wow then :-)
Eonwe Valar has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: Heya.
ArPharazonV: Aiya
VardaValar1: Aiya Eonwe :-)
Eonwe Valar: Welcome home, Varda :}
AriehnV: aiya eonwe
AriehnV: welcome back indeed Varda
VardaValar1: Thanks!
VardaValar1: Giving Eonwe a break from that heavy ol' gavel today. : )
top
VardaValar1: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
VardaValar1: Membership:
VardaValar1: oboy, door. Sending Sauron to answer.
VardaValar1: Fangorn's back :-)
VardaValar1: He thought he had to rush off to the rig but they turned him around and let him have this evening at home. : )
Eonwe Valar: Welcome back to Fangorn too :}
VardaValar1: His supper awaits him, with cheesecake.
VardaValar1: We had a great time. Fangorn, Sauron, Bilbo and I dropped by on the trip to visit Meriadoc. : )
VardaValar1: Then we went on to Arizona and stayed with Eowyn and Faramir-(init).
VardaValar1: We got to see their new house and amazing computer set-up,
with screens in groups around the main computers and big screens for
TV's.
VardaValar1: Some people spend money in one way, others on computers. ^^
VardaValar1: We went for three days to the Phoenix Comiccon, amazing, great convention.
VardaValar1: https://phoenixcomicon.com/
VardaValar1: It had the Babylon 5 reunion with I think 13 or 14 main actors and Michael Stracynski that wrote the series.
VardaValar1: For Star Trek fans, the original Chekov (Walter Koenig) and Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) gave talks.
VardaValar1: Sauron disappeared much of the time into Pathfinder tabletop gaming. : )
ArPharazonV: interesting way to spend your convention time :-)
VardaValar1: A huge number of writers' panels were going, many at the same time, impossible to get to all of them.
VardaValar1: He came up for a breath to eat and see some of the really cool panels.
VardaValar1: Two writers you may be familiar with were Terry Brooks and
Melanie Rawn, excellent on the panels. Interesting and helpful, and
funny.
VardaValar1: Huge vendor area with artists doing sketches (including
for Schlock Mercenary for those of you who follow that webcomic)
VardaValar1: and writers signing books.
VardaValar1: A very special collection of SF & F was made into a
book just for the con to benefit one writer who was in debt for bills
for cancer.
VardaValar1: His debt was very nearly covered before the end, and the
full-sized book is coming out next that should fix him right up.
AriehnV: i know Terry Brooks ... but which books are written by Melanie Rawn?
VardaValar1: The crowd was large but nice, and nearly half were in costumes, many very elaborate.
ArPharazonV: Can't say I know either of them, but that doesn't mean I
might not have heard of any books they wrote. Just not good at authors.
VardaValar1: I first ran into Melanie Rawn's work in the Dragon Prince books.
VardaValar1: http://www.melanierawn.com/
AriehnV: dont know her .. but i ll have a look
ArPharazonV: Nope, from what I can tell from wikia I've not read any of their books.
VardaValar1: Terry Brooks Shannara series, Magic Kingdom of Landover series
VardaValar1: http://www.terrybrooks.net/
VardaValar1: I've read a lot from both of them and was a bit starstruck. : )
VardaValar1: They're both good at putting a person at ease. : )
VardaValar1: Sauron collected a pile of books for Schlock Mercenary and the author made large sketches in the back of each for him. : )
Eonwe Valar: Cool :}
VardaValar1: I'll give you the first comic and you can see how much his
art improved, but he was always good with plot, research, and
consistency, and with coming out amazingly regularly. It's science
fiction:
VardaValar1: http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2000-06-12
VardaValar1: The family is all crazy and we were doing something all the time, much fun was had.
VardaValar1: I did slip into LotRO on my notebook computer quite a few
nights, but it was well after the usual time (time zones are different)
and most folks were offline by then. But not all. : )
VardaValar1: I highly recommend the Phoenix Comiccon for anyone who has the chance to go next year.
VardaValar1: Any other membership news? Bound to be stuff going on!
VardaValar1: annnnd you're all off looking at those cool links. ^^
Eonwe Valar: Sadly, next week is the last week I'll be able to attend meetings for the forseeable future.
ArPharazonV: Aw!
VardaValar1: You will be sorely missed.
ArPharazonV: You will.
AriehnV: What?
VardaValar1: The timing seems to be good though. You took over when I
couldn't be here, we got to be together this time between, and I'll
handle it while you're gone.
VardaValar1: Do you think you might be able to come in late, or would it help to have us show up a bit early?
Eonwe Valar: I wouldn't hazzard a guess at this point.
AriehnV: bleh :-(
AriehnV: sad to hear that
Eonwe Valar: Requirements of my current job. Nothing I can do about it.
VardaValar1: This is a very difficult time of day for anyone in North
America to come in, as it hits during the busiest time of day.
ArPharazonV: Pff, on a sunday?
VardaValar1: That's one reason we have so few able to show.
ArPharazonV: I thought you peeps were religious over there!
VardaValar1: Yes. Lots of folks work on Sunday.
VardaValar1: We can go to church in the morning or evening, but this is afternoon.
ArPharazonV: I meant the day of rest, and all that :-)
VardaValar1: Awful lot of shift work these days.
VardaValar1: Technically that would be the seventh day, Saturday, but aye, Sunday is the usual day for church.
ArPharazonV: Really? I thought it was Sunday for Christians.
VardaValar1: In any case, Eonwe is stuck at work for a while.
VardaValar1: Many say that since we should pray and observe constantly,
that the first day of the week symbolizes that. But the seventh day of
rest is still the seventh day, heh.
VardaValar1: Anyway, we look forward to seeing Eonwe's forum rp and
stories and articles, and anything he wants to post on the forum.
VardaValar1: If you'd like to have anything particular brought up at the meeting, please feel free to email me.
ArPharazonV: Hmm, yes. Could be tricky if we need to discuss RP stuff at some point. But we've got the forum too.
VardaValar1: Aye. And we're kind of stuck in the rp right now. The
group is too scattered in purpose and we need to get them together.
VardaValar1: Any other membership news?
ArPharazonV: Don't split the party?
VardaValar1: Right : )
VardaValar1: The group is unfocused.
VardaValar1: Any other membership news?
top
VardaValar1: Gaming:
VardaValar1: The guild seems to be all over the place right now in games.
VardaValar1: WoW:
VardaValar1: How's the new patch treating you?
VardaValar1: Can you tell they did anything?
ArPharazonV: Fine. A few changes and new things. The big features
aren't that big though; I've done the Barrens stuff for 2 weeks and
already feel I'm starting to run out of stuff to do with it.
ArPharazonV: So just continuing with other things that I'd put away for a while.
VardaValar1: Sounds like a normal patch, heh.
ArPharazonV: Like fishing!
VardaValar1: Helps with the cooking too.
AriehnV: there is random blues and epics dropping
ArPharazonV: Yep, but there's other things too, like pets to fish or reputation to gain.
AriehnV: i ve gotten an epic hat on my mage
AriehnV: just need the radical mojo to go with it ..
ArPharazonV: From where? Barrens?
ArPharazonV: And yeah, you get a mojo from doing the weekly quest.
AriehnV: aye barrens ... dropped randomly from an oil guy i think it was
AriehnV: yup working on that
VardaValar1: (Oh, and happy birthday back on the 17th, Eonwe!!)
Eonwe Valar: Hehe, thanks :}
ArPharazonV: It's a nice idea, but I'm a raider, and I think the
Barrens gear is even worse than the LFR drops, if I'm not mistaken.
AriehnV: happy belated birthday :-)
ArPharazonV: Good for people who don't have time for it though.
Eonwe Valar: There's also Heroic Scenarios, if any 3 guildies on Lothar
can arrange to get together and take on a tougher challenge than normal
scenarios. Loot commensurate with the challenge is available, as I
recall.
AriehnV: i like the barrens .. the mobs are quite tough especially the
stone guys .. need to be really cunning not to get swamped there
VardaValar1: (Fangorn had his birthday May 25, so you're close together.)
ArPharazonV: So.. I'm on the 6th, Fladrif's on the.. 10th, I think. Eonwe's on the 17th, and Fangorn on the 25th?
VardaValar1: May is taking over!
ArPharazonV: Well, it is the traditional month for births.
ArPharazonV: Spring is in the air, lambs running around the fields, things like that.
VardaValar1: I try to put the birthdays from the forum on the News, although often belatedly. Not everyone is on there.
VardaValar1: Gilraen's was the 21st
VardaValar1: LotRO:
VardaValar1: That last patch re-set all Legendary Items' traits and the
traits on your horse for mounted combat. Don't forget before running
around wondering why you're weakened!
VardaValar1: Also, Indis put a very good tip on the forum, now also on the News, to keep from bombing out some quest turn-ins.
ArPharazonV: Is that a bit like talents and reforges in WoW?
VardaValar1: Aye, it is.
VardaValar1: Indis pointed us to this thread:
Eonwe Valar: Well, I think Legendaries would be closer to having glyphs on your weapons, if that makes sense.
VardaValar1: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?512255-Quest-BUG!-MAKE-SURE-YOU-READ-THIS-BEFORE-YOU-QUEST-IN-WILDERMORE
VardaValar1: Here's my short version of the problem:
ArPharazonV: Enchants, then.
VardaValar1: If you have the quest "They Deserve a Better Fate" &
are ready to turn it in to Cyneberg in Lornsettle make sure you do so
before you turn in other quests to her because she phases out and moves
on. This prevents being able to turn in that quest or any others to
her. To prevent this bug you must turn in quests in this order:
Paralyzed by Grief, They Deserve a Better Fate, Preparing for a Siege,
and The Next Stage of Grief.
VardaValar1: Certain of your items (different for different classes)
have traits that you need to level up by choice, putting points to
preferred spots.
VardaValar1: Same for your horse for mounted combat in Rohan.
VardaValar1: Plus your horse has a Legendary Item bridle.
VardaValar1: All those things were knocked down to zero. Practically need a check-list. :-)
ArPharazonV: That's why I always read the patchnotes :-)
VardaValar1: An excellent plan, aye, always.
VardaValar1: The new Wildermore area has been interesting, more on the
epic book story, more with the Grey Company rangers and even the twins
make an appearance.
VardaValar1: The old instances became very popular for level 85's (top
level) after the scaling and with the very nice gold level loot.
VardaValar1: Any other gaming going on this past week?
ArPharazonV: Oh, bit of flashgaming. Various kinds. If you want
something different, I'll give you the link to an interactive story
about the life of a duck ;-)
ArPharazonV: http://www.kongregate.com/games/Stillmerlin/a-duck-has-an-adventure
VardaValar1: Looks amusing. : )
VardaValar1: Anyone played Diablo 3 or other (that's here)?
VardaValar1: Guild Wars 2 has been popular.
VardaValar1: My game is LotRO, so you'll continue to find me there. : )
top
VardaValar1: Tolkien:
VardaValar1: A quick link:
VardaValar1: http://tolkienlibrary.com/press/1085-Fall-of-Arthur-Manuscript-Publication-Exhibition.php
VardaValar1: That's a link about The Fall of Arthur, by JRRT, edited by Christopher Tolkien
VardaValar1: It was one of the poems that death interrupted, but that Christopher has brought to us.
VardaValar1: It's now published and you can pick it up on Amazon.com and other places.
VardaValar1: We also need to be thinking how we want to get our group
moving in the rp, need to get out of Rivendell. We can discuss it on
the forum so other members like Eonwe and Indis and maybe Menelvagor
can get in on the talk more easily.
AriehnV has left the room.
VardaValar1: And the sun accidentally took a run through the wrong underground tunnel in the night?
ArPharazonV: Hmmm, I think I got a book along the same lines from
Christopher, but it was something Scandinavian? Haven't looked at it
for a while.
VardaValar1: Sigurd and Gudrun
VardaValar1: The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun.
AriehnV has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Welcome back : )
ArPharazonV: That could be it. I'll check ;-)
AriehnV: cheers :-) stupid x ...
ArPharazonV: Haven't gotten around to reading it yet I"m afraid.
VardaValar1: I also had a discussion topic, if you'd like to try it. : )
AriehnV: which topic?
VardaValar1: *eyes stack of books and magazines needing read*
ArPharazonV: Yup, that was the one, Varda.
ArPharazonV: Sigurd and Gudrun.
VardaValar1: The topic was one I was thinking about that Eru said in the "Ainulindale" of the Silmarillion, about bad being turned to good : ) :
VardaValar1: "And thou, Melkor, shalt see that no theme may be played
that hath not its utter source in me, nor can any alter the music in my
despite. For he that attempteth this shall prove but mine instrument in
the devising of things more wonderful, which he himself hath not
imagined."
VardaValar1: Eru claimed that the bad that was done would be turned around to good. Did this happen?
ArPharazonV: I'm looking at "nor can any alter the music in my despite"
and thinking about Men making their own fate, to the point that the
very nature of the world had to be changed by Eru.
ArPharazonV: Anyway, back to your question.
VardaValar1: Eru wanted Man to have free will and not be tied to Arda. It's an interesting topic too!
ArPharazonV: I suppose the works of Morgoth and Sauron did push mankind
to the front, leaving domination in their hands in what would otherwise
be an Elf-ruled world, which might have been against the grand scheme.
Eonwe Valar: Pardon, I'm looking for the right words to respond.
VardaValar1: And Eru did change the nature of the world, even though
Men sent their greatest fleet against the highest authority they could
find.
VardaValar1: Take your time. : )
ArPharazonV: For smaller examples, one could say that the evil of the
killing of the Two Trees led to the good of the Sun and Moon, which
illuminated the rest of the world instead of just Aman.
VardaValar1: We should probably post these topics to the forum again if only to give Eonwe a chance to jump in. : )
VardaValar1: Aye, Phar. That's a good point.
Eonwe Valar: The Numenoreans sought to "change their fate" but
ultimately could not have done so, whether or not the Valar had allowed
them in Aman.
VardaValar1: The Valar became too localized for a time for various
reasons. Earendil helped them come out of one of those times, another
bad turning to good.
VardaValar1: Aye, for the land was not the cause of Deathlessness.
VardaValar1: In fact, it would have speeded their aging and deaths! oops.
VardaValar1: Anything causing a war might be one of those large waves of discord in the Song, that were turned around.
Eonwe Valar: The Valar were limited by Fëanor's Oath for that
portion of the First Age. It took Earendil's coming to allow them to
act.
VardaValar1: Aye. Earendil helped not only the First and Secondborn, but freed the Valar.
ArPharazonV: Something like "Well, we've got a silmaril back now, their Oath is moot anyway?"
Eonwe Valar: On the other hand, the March of the Noldor into Beleriand
helped shore up the forces of Middle-earth in a time a great need.
VardaValar1: Sure, here's a silmaril for you, but you're not able to
hold it anymore because you've been so bad that its hallowed nature
burns you.
VardaValar1: The coming of the elves across the Helcaraxe, a terrible
thing to do, was also glorious, and the Moon rose when they set foot on
the land.
ArPharazonV: That also :-)
ArPharazonV: your first line, that is
Eonwe Valar: Fëanor's Oath was basically a statement of "don't get
in my way or I'll strike you down." Kind of hard to find wiggle room on
that.
VardaValar1: heh
ArPharazonV: Banished from Aman because of an Oath, while the target of
their Oath was ferried back to Aman.. does put a bit of a hold on their
plans.
VardaValar1: Hubris, that. Didn't care if it was the most powerful Vala or a peasant.
VardaValar1: or if it hurt all of his children and people and the world.
ArPharazonV: Oaths are dangerous things.
VardaValar1: The oath was the cause of much that was terrible, and great heroics had to be done to handle those things.
ArPharazonV: Was it ever turned to good?
VardaValar1: Aye, swear not. : ) Just ask Elrond about it.
VardaValar1: The heroics were part of the good. Also, it brought elves and humans together in various ways.
ArPharazonV: True.
VardaValar1: The humans had become rather like second-class citizens,
but then they do this heroic rear-guard action saving the elves, and
bam, they look mighty good! Causes an attitude change.
VardaValar1: It was a horrible battle, much death, but it changed attitudes. Hurin's stand.
ArPharazonV: I don't think the Sons had much friendship with them, though.
VardaValar1: The Feanorians didn't, true. They're also the only elves not in Aragorn's line. : )
VardaValar1: The Silmarillion, aka Aragorn's ancestry.
ArPharazonV: hehe
VardaValar1: Having to go against adversity strengthened all the races.
Having an easy life with everything handed to them would make for a lot
of spoiled brats. : )
VardaValar1: Instead they became heroes.
ArPharazonV: I'm sure they'd have settled for an easy life too. Might've lived longer.
VardaValar1: Elves live again in Aman. Humans go to Eru to do we know
not what outside Arda. And all come together after the end of Arda to
make a new one. So death is another apparently bad thing with a good
ending?
ArPharazonV: Good point.
VardaValar1: Maybe we should grab some time and discuss where we're going next with the rp.
We need to get the group moving out of Rivendell into the main story,
and they need individual and group goals. That needs set up.
VardaValar1: That would be happening at this point, in Rivendell.
VardaValar1: What is the goal for the party as a group?
ArPharazonV: Ehr.. to get to Angmar? Finish our respective missions?
I'm thinking it's a case of "Everybody has a reason to go there so we
might as well go together".
VardaValar1: The sub-group of Mirkwood is trying to protect Mirkwood,
but they need to tie into the overall goal that will also bring in
interests of Auros' and Frali's and Estarion's if he didn't go back to
his forest.
VardaValar1: Frali's Lonely Mountain is a neighbor to Mirkwood, so if
Mirkwood goes, they could have a very powerful enemy at the doorstep.
VardaValar1: Elrond's goal is probably going to be the one unifying the
group, and he can put that on Auros, as well as whatever Auros'
personal goal is.
VardaValar1: Phar's character needs to rescue his brother or put him out of his misery for his personal goal?
AriehnV: hmmm and getting rid of that blasted sword ... or the staffr that it is part of .. nods
VardaValar1: True
ArPharazonV: Yepyep, that's pretty much it.
ArPharazonV: 's why he's been studying up on the possession thing.
VardaValar1: We hope to use that against the sorceror, who seems to need it.
ArPharazonV: Using the sword instead of destroying it seems a bit... well.. Boromir.
VardaValar1: Thus he's been busy in the library right next to Meren, hitting the same problem from a different angle.
VardaValar1: heh, it does.
AriehnV: aha .. so Sorceror needs staff .. staff needs the sword to be complete?
ArPharazonV: "It is a gift!"
VardaValar1: Using the sword as bait and to destroy the intended
purpose instead of furthering it. Maybe Meren can set a booby-trap in
it. ^^
ArPharazonV: Sabotage the sword. There's an idea.
VardaValar1: So Sauron puts on the Ring and it zaps him. ;-)
ArPharazonV: If that's Elrond's plan it might be our common goal.
VardaValar1: Aye, Elrond needs to give us the common goal.
AriehnV: haha an ammusing sword Varda
AriehnV: errr thought even
AriehnV: and ammusing thought
VardaValar1: The sorceror needs to have both parts to do his sorcery,
and we have one part. He thinks he defeated us and takes it, but when
it's joined together, *pow*.
VardaValar1: So that's why they call it the Ruins of Angmar.
ArPharazonV: Hah.
VardaValar1: That's simplified, but a potential overall plot.
VardaValar1: We might have plausible deniability because only Meren and Auros know about the trap?
VardaValar1: Makes the rest of us act right, for bait.
ArPharazonV: At this point it might be just Auros.
VardaValar1: Meren as a lore-master might be perfect for setting or hiding the trap or triggering?
VardaValar1: Each character should be an important part of the set-up and finale, like parts of a machine.
ArPharazonV: Could be. I just meant that Auros was the one holding the
sword now, without the rest of the party nearby. So he might get her
help without telling the rest of us?
VardaValar1: Aye, this could be an excellent time for that.
VardaValar1: Does anyone have anything to add? We can call After-meeting.
Eonwe Valar: Unfortunately, no, I have nothing to add at this time.
AriehnV: brilliant idea
ArPharazonV: Do we want to discuss further details of the trap, or make it up as we go along?
VardaValar1: If you have a suggestion, feel free to suggest it now. More fun than the forum thread.
VardaValar1: Auros and Meren at least need to have a good idea of the trap, if they want to do one.
VardaValar1: The rest of us may be more into working on the apparent
attack, which should also have a chance of working. Don't put all the
eggs in one basket, heh.
Eonwe Valar: I'd like to see some examples or something we can extrapolate from Tolkien's works on this "trap."
VardaValar1: The trap might not work.
VardaValar1: Aye. Sauron's Rings. He had all the rings programmed to
respond to his master ring, built in without the craftsmen knowing.
VardaValar1: That nice ceremonial dagger just happens to be the master
dagger hooked to the part we grabbed, and maybe it just injects into
the other part that we didn't have so the trap goes off in an
unexpected place.
VardaValar1: Sure nice of you to give Frali that ceremonial dagger/hatchet/whatever. *cough*
VardaValar1: What other traps can we think of?
VardaValar1: (from Tolkien's works)
VardaValar1: Illusion of Gorlim's wife as a decoy. Minstrel types make
illusions just to illustrate poems and stories in the Hall of Fire,
right?
ArPharazonV: Ehr... so an illusion of the sword?
VardaValar1: um.
ArPharazonV: Yeah, not sure where you were going with that.
VardaValar1: Maybe a decoy: the sword only appears to be doing its thing, but it's deactivated?
Eonwe Valar: That wasn't so much a "trap" in that sense though. Part of
the design in the Rings of Power was that it would subject the wearer
to the One, and Sauron had to pass a great deal of his power into his
ring to make that happen. The Rings of Power were made based on
Sauron's teaching/principles, so even when the Three were made, that he
never touched, it was part of his "theme" so to speak, which is
different from altering an item in the manner is seems we're talking
about.
VardaValar1: Just hunting any form of trap from Tolkien's works, then making up stuff from those.
ArPharazonV: Well, illusion could be used to hide the trap.
Eonwe Valar: *it seems
VardaValar1: Sort of like the One Ring using CSS. : )
VardaValar1: Trying to think of traps used in Tolkien's works would make a good topic by itself. : )
Eonwe Valar: Hehe, well, more like using a base class called "Ring of
Power" then the Elves making classes that inherit from that.
VardaValar1: Aragorn's decoy army to empty Mordor and let Frodo reach Mt. Doom.
VardaValar1: ok : )
Eonwe Valar: CSS + HTML would be like Manwë and Ulmo working together and ending up with clouds.
VardaValar1: That was cool.
VardaValar1: I was thinking of Sauron slipping in a required line of code that his master ring then hooked into later, heh.
VardaValar1: Base ring sounds good. Not sure how to work that in here.
ArPharazonV: That would be basic sabotage. If we could somehow change the "magic" within the sword to fit our purposes.
VardaValar1: Aye, sabotoge. Exactly.
ArPharazonV: Something hidden until it's fused with the staff and then we can command the stuff with our master dagger?
VardaValar1: It's in the hands of Rivendell. It might also be
suspicious for that reason, thus the idea of it passing the sabotoge to
the other part that wasn't in Rivendell.
VardaValar1: Aye, Phar.'
ArPharazonV: *command the staff
VardaValar1: stuff works too. ;-)

VardaValar1: Calling After-meeting
VardaValar1: We can keep on discussing, but if someone needs to go pass out asleep, this is a good time. : )
Eonwe Valar: The problem is, even if it is possible in Tolkien's works,
anyone of sufficient power to place this "sabotage" would basically be
painting a huge "X character had this weapon last" sign on it.
VardaValar1: Aye, and just having been in Rivendell is bad.
ArPharazonV: That's why we'll put an illusion on it ;-)
VardaValar1: Thus we need it to look as if we're using it like spoils,
not realizing what it is, and actually do our thing with a different
object like the ceremonial hatchet, button, brooch.
VardaValar1: We need to treat it more casually, as if we don't know its worth?
ArPharazonV: Ahh, the big ceremonial ancestral pingpongball.
VardaValar1: hehe
fladrifv has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Ent : )
fladrifv: Aiya
ArPharazonV: Aiya!
VardaValar1: How goes the Chess? : )
fladrifv: made it trough the round and waiting for the next one :-)
VardaValar1: Congratulations!
VardaValar1: Seems as if we pretty much finished up our chat. Free chat time or gaming, etc. : )
fladrifv has left the room.
VardaValar1: afk, will scroll and try to leave AIM up lots more.
VardaValar1: I missed all of you this past couple of weeks. : )
AriehnV: one of my guild mates just got the onyxian drake from her ... lucky beasty
VardaValar1: Congrats to your guildmate!
ArPharazonV: Oh, right. I need to remember that one. I've been looking at odd places to farm rare mounts from.
ArPharazonV: And congrats :-)
ArPharazonV: Been working on the blue protodrake, the drake from Stonecore, the two mounts from Zul'gurub...
ArPharazonV: But the odds are so low that you can burn out quickly if you try them every day.
VardaValar1: Reminds me, need to check to see if the spring festival has a new LotRO horse!
Eonwe Valar: I tried seeing if I could solo ZA one day. Bird boss went down, Bear boss got me.
ArPharazonV: I was worried about Stonecore, to be honest. But the first two bosses turned out to be quite easy to solo.
Eonwe Valar: I can solo Heroic Stonecore as a tank. Takes a little care
here and there, and more time generally that I want to spend these day,
but it's doable.
Eonwe Valar: *these days
ArPharazonV: Well, yes, it'd have to be on heroic to get the mount.
ArPharazonV: I think.
Eonwe Valar: I thought it would be a bit tougher since some of my tank
gear wsa at best 463 ilvl, putting me at maybe 470-something when I
tried, but it went well enough.
Eonwe Valar: No, drops on normal too.
ArPharazonV: Really? Hmm, actually farmable 5 times an hour then.
Eonwe Valar: Last time I checked the dungeon journal.
Eonwe Valar: Same with the one in Vortex Pinnacle.
ArPharazonV: I wonder.. if it's possible to solo the vault of Archavon.
Eonwe Valar: Yes.
Eonwe Valar: 10-man anyway.
ArPharazonV: Because apparently the mammoth can drop from any of em. So might be worth taking a shot at it once a week.
Eonwe Valar: Aye.
AriehnV: and cow ding ^^
ArPharazonV: grats :-)
AriehnV: so good night :-)
ArPharazonV: Namarie!
AriehnV: 65 this one hehe
AriehnV: Namarie :-)
AriehnV has left the room.
VardaValar1: Grats and good night to Arien. : )
ArPharazonV: saving and sending transcript
ArPharazon-V: saved
VardaValar1: Thank you :-)
VardaValar1: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html

ArPharazon-V: Namarie!
