VardaValar1: heh
fladrifv has entered the room.

VardaValar1: Gaming:
VardaValar1: What non-WoW, non-LotRO funness has been going on this past week?
VardaValar1: Fangorn and I were in StarCraft: BroodWar
fladrifv: I was practicing sc2 online
ArPharazonV: Well, besides some flashgaming (I finally finished
JellyGo, and have been trying out a few other games) I've also
participated, this monday, in an open pre-alpha server test for the Legends of Equestria.
ArPharazonV: *the MMO
ArPharazonV: http://www.legendsofequestria.com/
VardaValar1: Grats on getting in. : )
karakedi25 has entered the room.
karakedi25: aiya
fladrifv: Aiya
VardaValar1: Aiya Indis :-)
fladrifv: I played some chess for the 3rd round of the new tournament :-)
ArPharazonV: It's looking pretty good now, many locations from the MLP
show are nicely built in, there were about half a dozen quests, a lot
of character variety, and a lot of fun exploring the place in pony form
:-)
ArPharazonV: It was quite open, Varda, all you had to do was register
at the forum and use that for your game account, and download the
client.
VardaValar1: Grats on making it to the 3rd round, Fladrif. : )
ArPharazonV: Grats Flad :-)
VardaValar1: Ah, nice, Phar.
fladrifv: sorry for interupting you phar, ent gone hasty...
ArPharazonV: It was all weekend, but I didn't decide to take a look
until monday night due to busyness, and it was worth it. I'm looking
forward to future developments.
ArPharazonV: Allright, done :-)
VardaValar1: Thanks for the report, Phar. : )
VardaValar1: Anything else you wanted to mention, Flad?
VardaValar1: Fladrif is also quite busy right now in real life.
VardaValar1: StarCraft 2:
VardaValar1: A balance update has been released for Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. See the official site for more info.
VardaValar1: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/10393911/heart-of-the-swarm-balance-update-july-11-2013-7-11-2013
VardaValar1: World of WarCraft:
VardaValar1: This from Eonwe:
VardaValar1: New items of interest are up on WoW's Community Site, including a new short story: Death from Above, new battleground guides,
and for those interested in such things, new non-pet items coming to
Blizzard's Pet Store, which makes one wonder how much longer it'll be
called a "pet store".
VardaValar1: Any other WoW news?
ArPharazonV: Darkmoon Faire ended yesterday?
VardaValar1: Thanks. Didn't realize. Missed it.
VardaValar1: Arien is trying to get in. I can't invite her because she doesn't show a group chat option.
VardaValar1: That's two people with that problem.
ArPharazonV: Same here. Says either her software's not right for it or she's not accepting invitations.
VardaValar1: My version is 7.5.14.8
VardaValar1: From Arien:
VardaValar1: AriehnV: aye my hard disk decided to throw the towel on
tuesday around 2 pm so i had to get a new one and reinstall the games
and other software
VardaValar1: LotRO:
ArPharazonV: Somewhere in her settings, then?
VardaValar1: Probably.
VardaValar1: From Eonwe:
VardaValar1: The LotRO team over at Turbine have been answering
questions from the community recently. The second set of 20 questions
is on their forum. You can read the first set there as well.
VardaValar1: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?517321-Twenty-Questions-with-the-LOTRO-Dev-Team-July-2013
VardaValar1: 1st set:
VardaValar1: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?515600-Twenty-Questions-with-the-LOTRO-Dev-Team
karakedi25: There have been some interesting answers in them.
VardaValar1: Agreed. Just got distracted by it again, hehe.
VardaValar1: Anything you'd like to mention on the LotRO front, Indis?
VardaValar1: We've been doing some Valar 3 man level 85 tier one and
tier 2, but not at scheduled times. More like on the spot. Sometimes
join in with larger groups.
karakedi25: nothing special.
karakedi25: No new landscapes until Helms Deep in the fall.
VardaValar1: Aye. People are working up alts to get ready for Helm's Deep, once done with most of the new content.
karakedi25: yes, lots of work in process on alts
VardaValar1: So people are running content they haven't seen for a while. Bit of fun there.
VardaValar1: Any further comments, suggestions? This is your chance!
karakedi25: not from me
VardaValar1: On anything.
VardaValar1: Soo, we could use an article on the Arkenstone... ;-)

VardaValar1: Tolkien:
VardaValar1: In the rp, have a look sometime at Eonwe's new post if you haven't already. Looks as if we're close to converging for maybe three of us.
VardaValar1: If any of you had a comment you've been wanting to make on Middle-earth, now is a good time.
VardaValar1: I'm still trying to figure out why Hobbits have hairy feet.
VardaValar1: They have very tough soles of the feet to handle running more or less barefoot all the time.
VardaValar1: Some wear boots in very bad terrain. Bet Frodo and Sam
would have liked to have a good pair of boots in Mordor, besides their
short-term orc boots.
VardaValar1: What help would the hair have been?
ArPharazonV: Keep em warm, possibly.
VardaValar1: Good thought.
VardaValar1: Maybe similar reasons for head hair?
VardaValar1: Keep off bugs? When the mosquitoes get bad, I let my hair go loose and they back away mostly.
VardaValar1: The hair on their heads and feet is curly, suggesting its used for protection.
ArPharazonV: To entrap small animals?
VardaValar1: Maybe it's also attractive to other hobbits?
ArPharazonV: Could be, though it's not something I want to imagine.
VardaValar1: Perhaps the curly hair is used like thicker cloth for
protection. Bumping a head on a short tunnel roof, bumping tree roots
with their feet.
ArPharazonV: That works.
VardaValar1: So, probably to help versus temperature and getting hit.
VardaValar1: Sounds good.
ArPharazonV: Difficult to wash though.
VardaValar1: Does anyone wish to comment on the rp? We have three of the writers.
VardaValar1: heh, wade through a stream?
VardaValar1: Guess feet are easier to reach than washing head hair.
VardaValar1: Arien may be trying another version of AIM.
VardaValar1: Any other comments?
ArPharazonV: Speaking of feet... PJ put another picture on his facebook page.
VardaValar1: Sounds fun. : )

VardaValar1: Thanks!
VardaValar1: Cool! So there's Smaug. And they're old acting buddies. Enjoy!
VardaValar1: When fandoms collide.
VardaValar1: *picks up a hammer from the top shelf*
VardaValar1: It's a pickaxe! Hmmm
ArPharazonV: Hah, yes. And not that old either, I believe the Sherlock show is still going.
VardaValar1: *hits nearby rock instead of the usualy spot*
VardaValar1: *thwink, split*

VardaValar1: After-meeting!
VardaValar1: Ah neat, Phar. : )
VardaValar1: Well, better see about reviving my D&D character for the gang downstairs.
VardaValar1: You may need to help Arien see if her AIM is working, when/if she returns.
ArPharazonV: Been unconscious for a long time, then?
VardaValar1: Long enough to come to the meeting. Sauron is a good GM,
figures out all sorts of ways around people's comings and goings. : )
ArPharazonV: Heh.
VardaValar1: Namarie for now! And have fun with the rp. :-)
VardaValar1: er, DM
VardaValar1: Dungeon Master
AriehnV has entered the room.
AriehnV: Aiya all :-) am i here:-)?
ArPharazonV: You are!
ArPharazonV: Welcome :-)
AriehnV: :-D
ArPharazonV: Anything to say about hairy hobbit feet?
AriehnV: that is nice innally .. guess they smell?
AriehnV: no fun aside .. we know that they were quite resilient to all kinds of underground and had leathery soles
ArPharazonV: But why are they hairy?
AriehnV: Protection .. Warmth
AriehnV: feels fluffy :-)
ArPharazonV: Protection and warmth. Yeah, that's how far we got too ;-)
AriehnV: sorry for that by the way and in ways of personal news i dont
know wether Varda mentioned that my Hard drive said good bye on Tuesday
karakedi25: That's a real bummer.
ArPharazonV: She did.
AriehnV: so had to get new one and download the main games and the
communication software , and aye indis .. but the loss of time and
general hassle is the worst
ArPharazonV: Did you manage to salvage much?
ArPharazonV: Had backups?
AriehnV: thankfully nothing really important wss stored on the hard disk ... its a bit of a shame all the screenies were lost
ArPharazonV: Aw. Digital memories are always a pain.
AriehnV: windows backup cd thankfully yes
AriehnV: i had Bruce after that pretty soon after i got the machine
karakedi25: I'm glad the lost data weren't disastrous.
AriehnV: indeed :-) i am reading the new rp posts . i. E. Phara and Eonwes
karakedi25: it's dinnertime for me, so I'm going to log out. Namarie!
ArPharazonV: Namarie!
AriehnV: all right enjoy
AriehnV: Namarie
karakedi25 has left the room.
ArPharazonV: If you're wondering where Varda is, she's currently downstairs playing Pathfinder I believe.
AriehnV: Pathfinder?
ArPharazonV: An RPG kind of game, like D&D I assume.
AriehnV: ah right
fladrifv has left the room.
VardaValar1: Quickly passing by. Aye, Pathfinder is a version of D&D.
AriehnV: i see
AriehnV: fun?
VardaValar1: zipping past again. Very fun. :-)
ArPharazonV: Still alive?
VardaValar1: Aye
AriehnV: sort of ... sealing a bad temple in Rift ^^ for cultists so they have no place tohold their rituals ^^
AriehnV: and they are not very pleased about that hehe
ArPharazonV: Making enemies, hm?
ArPharazonV: Watching a youtube right now, heading back into WoW to finish my dailies after that
AriehnV: life would be boring otherwise :-)
AriehnV: Namarie valarites, bed time now
AriehnV has left the room.
ArPharazonV: Saving and sending transcript.
ArPharazon-V: saved
VardaValar1: Thanks :-)
VardaValar1: Handing out pizza. Here's yours!
VardaValar1: Namarie :-)
ArPharazon-V: Thanks :)
ArPharazon-V: sent
ArPharazon-V: Namarie!
ArPharazon-V (ArPharazonV) has left the room.
