VardaValar1: Diablo 3 came out Tuesday, with a lot of members trying it out.
VardaValar1: It has a lot of nostalgia for those of us from the early
guild that started in Diablo 1, moved to Diablo 2, and the Diablo 2
expansion.
VardaValar1: We have a Diablo 3 thread on our forum where those who
wanted to post their Battle Tags did so. I've been asked not to post
any on the website.
VardaValar1: The folks posting the tags on the forum have the option of
removing them at any time or keeping them up as they like.
ArPharazonV: I was hoping to meet with some of you in the Americas
today as I made my first character there, but with the server troubles
and people losing gear and achievements and everything...
ArPharazonV: I think I'd best wait a week.
VardaValar1: Bilbo is on right now.
VardaValar1: Good to have you with the group in the Amercas too, thanks for making the character.
ArPharazonV: I haven't made one yet, that was the plan :P
VardaValar1: Anyone that did a year's subscription to WoW also got a year of Diablo 3.

ArPharazonV: Oh yes, it's all over the bnet forums, I've been checking
regularly. And some of my achievements weren't ticking either, so I
took a break.

Eonwe Valar: No runs last Sunday or this Friday. Seems most are busy elsewhere.

VardaValar1: We've been playing with the new Fornost instance and the new skirmish.
VardaValar1: One such Fornost run was at the scheduled Monday time, completing the wings for water, earth, and fire, but we ran out of time before doing shadow.

VardaValar1: Saturday, Miriel and Irmo had intended to start the Draigoch raids going again, but only four people showed up.
VardaValar1: They request that all those interested in the Draigoch run
for next Saturday post in the forum, even if it's tentative.
VardaValar1: If we can't get a group next Saturday, they're considering calling it off.

forums etc. Since most people do know me as Calaron, it was the obvious
choice.

character from Middle-earth. The next person names another character by
using the last letter of the name for the first letter of the character
to be mentioned next.

ArPharazonV: Or the other way around.
VardaValar1: Right, hehe.

Eonwe Valar: Only don't name Sam after naming Mandos after naming Sam. We don't need to get stuck in an infinite loop :}

VardaValar1: I found it amusing that Calion said finding his brother
was the main objective. It's more or less true, just an interesting way
to put it, as he might actually have done.

VardaValar1: I thought is was daytime. We've spent a little time in Imladris.
VardaValar1: Looking back.
Eonwe Valar: Part of it would depend on what time we entered Imladris, since this is Day 0 (our arrival), pretty much.
VardaValar1: Hasn't been long since we arrived. Indis set this in a post:
VardaValar1: Within a few hours of arrival in Imladris, they were to meet its fabled Master!
ArPharazonV: Ah, but when did we arrive? Morning or afternoon?
VardaValar1: We arrived and cleaned up, then went to see Legolas and Gloin, depending on who we were.
VardaValar1: Another time mention:
VardaValar1: "Master Elrond knows of your arrival, and will meet with you in two hours' time, if such is your desire.
VardaValar1: Auros seems to have skipped the clean-up before the meetings, so he's ahead of the others on the meeting times.
AriehnV: i had the impression we arrived late morning or early afternoon
Eonwe Valar: First thing Auros did was report to Glorfindel :}

VardaValar1: Anar was still high in
the sky as they approached a land full of valleys. Auros took the lead
to guide them along the right path.
VardaValar1: They would take a little time to go down the valley even with their guide, but it would still be day.

ArPharazonV: Since it's winter and all
VardaValar1: (To me, about 3 days in January are winter. Must think differently.)
VardaValar1: Seems like it was autumnal for the Fellowship's arrival,
but hit winter by the time they left. Had to take cold-weather clothing.
VardaValar1: So we need to think about cold-weather gear too.
VardaValar1: Also, we'll be heading north
VardaValar1: Menelvagor does not seem to have been able to post this last week.
Eonwe Valar: Legolas didn't wear shoes in snow, so whether Elves should be wearing winter gear is questionable, hehe.
Eonwe Valar: *Didn't wear boots, pardon.
ArPharazonV: My point was, days will be shorter :-)
VardaValar1: Legolas wore shoes, aye. But he also had a jacket given to him by Imladris.

Eonwe Valar: My next Elrond post will conclued the meeting with him,
and if it includes anything from Auros, it might advance the story to
the next day as well. After all, we don't need to try and crowd
everything in Rivendell into one night.

having him ask Elrond's permission, just so Elrond could respond to him
to. That was what the daylight through the window thing was for.

of pictures that depict scenes from LotR, but with my little pony

ArPharazonV: With the exception of this first picture, which is more of
a preview test thing, the scenes are in order. There's only a few so
far, and still in the Fellowship prologue, but if the artist is really
going through all the films, it could be quite a large project.
