Before-meeting:
You have just entered room "valarguildmeetingplace."
Menelvagor Valar has entered the room.
Menelvagor Valar: lo.
ArPharazonV: Aiya
ArPharazonV: You're actually on time :-)
Menelvagor Valar: I haven't left the house today. just finished the raid.
ArPharazonV: So have I. Killed a few bosses in the Bastion of Twilight. Last time before the patch, probably.
Menelvagor Valar: killed 2 on thursday, killed 3 in BWD today.
Menelvagor Valar: were my first 2 raids in Cata.
ArPharazonV: We've been wiping on Nefarian for a few weeks now, but didn't have enough experienced people today, so went for Twilight instead.
ArPharazonV: Plan is to spend one night in Firelands and 2 in the other places from now on.
Menelvagor Valar: good luck with that :-D
ArPharazonV: Eh, we're doing well. Cho'gall down, Nefarian and Al'akir to phase 3. On normal, though.
ArPharazonV: And we're not aiming to get far, the plan was just to "wipe on trash" ;-)
Eonwe Valar has entered the room.
Menelvagor Valar: Guild has Cho'Gall down, gotten to Nefarian, but the group has been shuffled to get 2 groups, and later 1 25 group.
Eonwe Valar: Heya. We'll be starting shortly.
ArPharazonV: Hey
Menelvagor Valar: Aiya Eonwe.
AriehnV has entered the room.
AriehnV: aiya all
Menelvagor Valar: Aiya!
Eonwe Valar: Heya Arien.
Eonwe Valar: OK, let's begin the meeting.

Menelvagor Valar: *grin*
Eonwe Valar has left the room.
Eonwe Valar has entered the room.
Menelvagor Valar: You were about to regale that you were about to drop when you dropped Eonwe ^^
Eonwe Valar: OK, that was a nice random disconnect.
Eonwe Valar: Hehe
Menelvagor Valar: It was perfect :-D
Eonwe Valar: OK, let's see if we can get through the meeting before another one comes along :}
Menelvagor Valar: yes, let's :-D
Eonwe Valar: Varda and Fangorn are out and about today.
Eonwe Valar: I don't see any more Membership news on the News page, so do you three have any?
Menelvagor Valar: Not to my knowledge.
AriehnV: yes .. you are here :-D
Eonwe Valar: hehe
ArPharazonV: True, very unusual!
AriehnV: its been so long that you ve been from the start
Eonwe Valar: I presume "you" means Menel :}
Menelvagor Valar: Yeah, sorry, I decided to raid tonight, instead of go out and play board games.
AriehnV: it does indeed , i think worth mentioning
AriehnV: hey dont apologize for that ^^
ArPharazonV: Nothing wrong with raiding ;-)
Menelvagor Valar: Nope, and this way I can free myself tomorrow for frat and other stuff ;-)

Eonwe Valar: Web:
AriehnV: :-)
Eonwe Valar: Nothing to announce it looks like, but always something going on behind the scenes, hehe.

Eonwe Valar: Gaming:
Eonwe Valar: WoW:
Menelvagor Valar: we killed KT and Illidan last week! :-D
Eonwe Valar: Midsummer Fire Festival going on. Get in your Ahune runs while you can :}
karakedi25 has entered the room.
Menelvagor Valar: Aiya Indis!
karakedi25: Aiya
Eonwe Valar: Lothar:
AriehnV: aiya Indis :-)
Eonwe Valar: Sunday run:
ArPharazonV: Completed my bonfire run today. All bonfires in the world, alliance and horde (honoring some, extinguishing others)
ArPharazonV: almost like a yearly ritual :-)
Eonwe Valar: As Menel said, we went into Tempest Keep and Black Temple last week, killing Illidan (again) and Kael'Thas.
AriehnV: Mount Hyjal was quite fun
AriehnV: i was there :-D
Eonwe Valar: Actually, we did Hyjal last week too. Don't want to forget that :}
AriehnV: KT i need that little lichi ... i need his core
AriehnV: but that can wait
Eonwe Valar: Friday run:
Menelvagor Valar: yeah, but you didn't get the achievement for it due to releasing.
Eonwe Valar: Hyjal's on the Sunday schedule in July, no worries :}
AriehnV: :-)
ArPharazonV: Don't confuse Kael'thas with Kel'thuzad, Arien :-)
Menelvagor Valar: I think Arien does mean Kael.
ArPharazonV: She called him a lich.
VardaValar1 has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: There's a lich in Hyjal we need the phylactory for a quest. I assumed she meant him.
VardaValar1: Aiya, just got home. :-)
ArPharazonV: Aiya!
AriehnV: aiya Varda :-)
Menelvagor Valar: Aiya!
AriehnV: yes i thought of that raid quest for the keepers of time
karakedi25: Aiya
Eonwe Valar: Friday Run:
Eonwe Valar: We spent this Friday running Ahune for guild challenge credit. We weren't all in heroic+ gear, so it turned out to be quite a challenge.
Eonwe Valar: The first 5 were run by Bofur, Eonwe, Varda, Fangorn, and Elwing.
Eonwe Valar: The last two were with Eonwe, Eowyn, Schlep, Elwing, and random healers from the dungeon queue.
Eonwe Valar: I think almost everyone who could use one got a shot at a cloak that would be useful to them.
AriehnV: has he got healy cloaks as well ?
AriehnV: or castery?
Eonwe Valar: Aye, he has a healing cloak and a caster DPS cloak.
Eonwe Valar: I think we saw at least one of everything but the melee DPS cloak.
ArPharazonV: So far I've been killing him daily for the satchel, and I don't think I've seen anything but caster cloaks to be honest.
Eonwe Valar: This Sunday, our goal is to try and get guild credit for the lvl 60 raids. If we don't have the 10 for that, we'll still run them for the rep involved.
Eonwe Valar: In other guild news, running Ahune 5 times got us to Level 10 :}
ArPharazonV: grats!
VardaValar1: /cheer
Eonwe Valar: LotRO:
Menelvagor Valar: hold on :-D
Menelvagor Valar: Got some WoW Argent Dawn news.
Eonwe Valar: Some Valar Guild-related Argent Dawn news, I assume :}
Menelvagor Valar: Somewhat, aye :-)
Menelvagor Valar: I have moved back to AD :-D
VardaValar1: Did you leave Lothar?
Menelvagor Valar: Nope.
Menelvagor Valar: on my European account Varda :-)
ArPharazonV: Welcome back.
AriehnV: Welcome Back :-D
AriehnV: aiya Indis
karakedi25: ?
Eonwe Valar: It's safe to move on to LotRO I assume now? :}
VardaValar1: Were you done, Menel
VardaValar1: Done on your AD report?
Menelvagor Valar: Long time done :-D
Menelvagor Valar: just wanted to note that moved back is all :-D
VardaValar1: Did you join a guild there?
VardaValar1: ok, thanks

VardaValar1: LotRO:
Eonwe Valar: OK, you didn't say you were done so I was wondering :}
VardaValar1: Monday, we did our usual warm-up start grabbing Helegrod marks for the armor.
Menelvagor Valar: sorry about that.
VardaValar1: Galdor, Gildor, Gorlim, Indis, Melkor, Pippin, Tulkas, and Varda were there for it.
VardaValar1: Tulkas couldn't get his Ventrilo to work and decided to pass on the next runs.
VardaValar1: We hit the Ost Dunhoth platform for the 100 kills for 20 North-men medallions.
VardaValar1: Gildor, Gorlim, Indis, Melkor, and Varda.
VardaValar1: Then we did a quick run to complete two quests by request in Forgotten Treasury
VardaValar1: with Indis, Melkor, Nimrodel, Pippin, and Varda.
VardaValar1: Wednesday we had a time problem but dove into Fil Gashan to complete Gildor's captain's class quest with side orders of deeds, quests, and medallions.
VardaValar1: Gildor, Gorlim, Melkor, Nimrodel, Pippin and Varda.
VardaValar1: Indis was traveling at that time, then Friday Fangorn and I were traveling and just got home during the meeting.
VardaValar1: People have been enjoying the summer festival going for the new horse and new scavenger hunts along with old favorites.
VardaValar1: Thus endeth my report unless others have something to add?
VardaValar1: Arien, did you get to game in LotRO?
VardaValar1: Guess we're done, Eonwe. : )
AriehnV: ah i did a bit actually last monday morning
AriehnV: but nothing great ^^
VardaValar1: Oh, membership news, Galdor is away hiking not far from Melkor's territory. : )
Eonwe Valar: Cool :}

Eonwe Valar: In non-WoW/non-LotRO related gaming, Arien's been trying a game. Anything you'd like to tell about it Arien?
Eonwe Valar: I guess not? :}
Eonwe Valar: Any other gaming news before we move to Tolkien? (Whisper me topics now!)
AriehnV: yes i can give a short report
ArPharazonV: I've got some other gaming news after Arien's done.
AriehnV: the game is called A Farewell to Dragons and from a company called Excalibur Publishing
AriehnV: and Arise
AriehnV: developer is russian
AriehnV: its about a medic who gets more or less abducted in a fantastic parallel world where he is told that his true destiny lies in there
AriehnV: he gets taken by a guide which appears to him as a young human injured girl
AriehnV: he learns about magic and his abilities with it and how to fight with various weapons
AriehnV: the world is very archaic in some ways as he has to opose bandits and undead creatures
AriehnV: but on the other hand there are trains for transport and electricity
AriehnV: thats the story outline , very roughly
AriehnV: graphically its a similar level to Battle to Middlearth one
karakedi25: do you have a personal avatar?
ArPharazonV: You're probably the medic.
AriehnV: the character, Victor, advances through various quests, one main quest and side quests
AriehnV: aye Pharzi
AriehnV: and there are avatars , Indis
AriehnV: you get to do a tutorial quest when you first start it
AriehnV: which teaches you how to move (with keys ASDW or Mouse) and how to stear the camera how to fight and so on
AriehnV: my validation from what i saw : intriguing storyline but lacks a bit in graphic , moving the character is like in warcraft III
AriehnV: and you get various status points which you can distribute as you level and pers
AriehnV: perks
AriehnV: better gear with higher level of course
AriehnV: i guess if you dont pay too much attention to time one can lose him or herself in it :-)
AriehnV: you have to get used a bit to the way its done i think but quite nice approach
AriehnV: thats it from me
ArPharazonV: So a top view RPG?
AriehnV: aye
ArPharazonV: A bit like.. Dungeon Siege or Rage of Mages?
AriehnV: dont know those but i assume so and it reminds also a bit, a tiny bit of guild wars
AriehnV: its been a while since i tried dungeon siege :-)
AriehnV: you can select multiple characters tho and move them as group and have them behave independently
ArPharazonV: I should install it again and multiplayer a new character with you :-)
ArPharazonV: Aye, that sounds like those games
AriehnV: you pick up some allies on the way but basically the idea is to pick up as much experience as you can on the go
AriehnV: at crucial main quest lines there are some challenges
AriehnV: thats it from me :-)
Eonwe Valar: Thanks Arien :}

Eonwe Valar: Phar, you had some news?
ArPharazonV: Aye
ArPharazonV: I've finished Starcraft II Wings of Liberty this week, for a start.
ArPharazonV: On normal, but still.
ArPharazonV: Been nearly a year since I bought it, but finally got to see the end of the story with my own eyes :-)
ArPharazonV: Now I just need to wait for the Zerg campaign!
Eonwe Valar: :}
ArPharazonV: Also, I've been playing more flashgames, and found a fun new site full of them, called onemorelevel.com
ArPharazonV: And that's it from me!
Eonwe Valar: Thanks :}
ArPharazonV: Try out the site, and you'll waste a few days ;-)

Eonwe Valar: One last note of WoW news, before we move to Tolkien.
Eonwe Valar: There's a good chance the 4.2 patch will be Tuesday, so unless you're looking forward to your Valor points to turn into gold, don't forget to make sure your total Justice Points + Valor Points come out to 4000 or less before then.
AriehnV: patch is coming out on wednesday :-D
AriehnV has left the room.
ArPharazonV: Wednesday in Europe, Tuesday in US. It's confirmed, I think.
VardaValar1: Thanks
Eonwe Valar: I know MMO-Champion was saying it, and they're usually right, but I missed any Blizzard announcement on when, as they *usually* don't.
ArPharazonV: I know the patch guide appeared on the blogsites this week, not sure if they actually said it comes next week.
Eonwe Valar: Aye, all the patch info is up on the Site.

Eonwe Valar: Oh, a blurb of LotRO news as well: Servers will be down for a bit Monday.
Eonwe Valar: They're applying a hotfix.
VardaValar1: That's starting to look like a regular maintenance day, as Tuesday is for WoW.
Eonwe Valar: Tolkien:
AriehnV has entered the room.
AriehnV: pfft
ArPharazonV: welcome back
top

Tolkien:
Eonwe Valar: A few of us wanted to discuss the RP, so I open the floor for said discussion.
AriehnV: i ve done it again :-\
AriehnV: what did i miss?
VardaValar1: We are now heading into the rp talk.
Eonwe Valar: Nothing really, just that LotRo servers will be down for a bit Monday. Now we're in Tolkien.
ArPharazonV: discussing the possible confirmation of the WoW patch, as well as servers being down on monday in LotRO
Eonwe Valar: Feel free to discuss the RP :}
Menelvagor Valar: well.. first of all, I've been meaning to post for a while, but I can't seem to get my head around the fact that there's been an error in the story that just gets me the wrong way.
VardaValar1: Time to work on it then.
AriehnV: which one ?
VardaValar1: hehe
ArPharazonV: You mean who gave Frali the sword?
Menelvagor Valar: Arien has posted that she was given the Orcish blade by me, while I only wielded it for a short time, and Calaron gave it to Fralí
VardaValar1: That can be fixed with a modify post.
AriehnV: indeed
VardaValar1: Good mention, thanks.
Menelvagor Valar: you're welcome.
Eonwe Valar: Calion gave it to Frali, not Calaron, btw.
Menelvagor Valar: I just couldn't figure out what to do with Fralí... with that corrected, I may have an idea how to respond to the current chain of events.
Menelvagor Valar: meh... whether it's you, you or you who gave it... :-P
Eonwe Valar: It wasn't either of me :}
ArPharazonV: It wasn't me or me, but it was me.
Eonwe Valar: I just want to make sure the fix doesn't need fixed :}
VardaValar1: Aye :-)
Menelvagor Valar: hehe :-D
Menelvagor Valar: dang that Pharazon... confuzzling us even while hibernating in his cave.
karakedi25: do we need to clarify the sword before moving on towards Rivendell?
AriehnV: done corrected it
karakedi25: yay
AriehnV: sorry took me a bit finding the place lol
VardaValar1: Thanks, Arien. :-)
Eonwe Valar: Anything else to be said on the RP? Or is everyone browsing it now?
Menelvagor Valar: uhm... secretly doing other things.
ArPharazonV: Doing more flashgames, actually. But we might want to discuss where to go from here, and more specifically, who's going to post next.
Eonwe Valar: As I understood it we were waiting on my next post, but I have not been so inspired yet.
VardaValar1: Will we be encountering goblins in the pass on the way to Rivendell? We could head that way, maybe bump into some, and the sword might give itself away to someone like the goblin king or an officer there?
karakedi25: that would be a good way to learn more about it
karakedi25: and it would get us moving again
VardaValar1: aye
karakedi25: anyone else have thoughts on the matter?
Menelvagor Valar: Not at the moment, but I do promise I will post in the coming week :-D
karakedi25: is Frali going to be trying to take the sword back?
Menelvagor Valar: I'm going to have a talk with Fralí about that and the darkness in general.
AriehnV: aye
karakedi25: aye to taking the sword?
AriehnV: depends actually .. if there are goblins near and they d raid or try to raid the camp he might not get round to it
AriehnV: and that depends on how many days of travel are actually left
Menelvagor Valar: 2, 3 at most I reckon.
AriehnV: if Estarion wants to talk with Frali i am open to it :-)
Menelvagor Valar: depending on the weather in the high passes.
karakedi25: how do we want the weather to be? If it's bad, we might end up going off course to something like Varda's goblins.
Menelvagor Valar: well, with bad weather we might end up camping in the passes, instead of pushing on if the weather is clear and perfect.
VardaValar1: The goblins can be a patrol or bandit party looking for loot to take back.
Menelvagor Valar: or we might hobbit it... we rest in a cave / doorway :-D
ArPharazonV: No law that says we need to be original in these things ;-)
karakedi25: though you'd think elves would be more cautious. A patrol is more likely
Eonwe Valar: You'd think Elves from Rivendell would know well enough the lay of the land as to avoid goblin settlements altogether.
VardaValar1: Likely an escort from Mirkwood would know as well.
VardaValar1: We would be ready for it.
AriehnV: hmm .. remembering from LoTRo right you ve got some really craggy country around it
AriehnV: and steep gorges and such
karakedi25: yes, and lots of goblin settlements
karakedi25: perhaps there's a new one that the elves of Rivendell don't know about yet
ArPharazonV: I'm assuming it's not to scale though. There won't be a settlement around every corner.
AriehnV: maybe some one has a notion of a specific toy to play within that party .. our little friends new shiny
AriehnV: maybe they be wanting that :-)
karakedi25: you mean that the gobllins are attracted to our nasty little souvenir?
AriehnV: hmm just a wee notion
AriehnV: but thats what i thought off aye
karakedi25: not a bad one
Eonwe Valar: Considering that other messengers before us have already passed through the High Pass before we get there, and the Eagles who live there haven't seen anything new,...
karakedi25: then Arien's notion makes sense
Eonwe Valar: I'm going to be turning my attention completely to the Sunday run on WoW now.
Eonwe Valar: I'm also going to bang the gavel here so those who need to can focus elsewhere completely.
Eonwe Valar: *bangs gavel*
top

Eonwe Valar: Aftermeeting.
Eonwe Valar: Arien and Menel, will you be joining us for the Guild run, or will you be choosing sleep tonight? :}
Menelvagor Valar: Currently not choosing sleep, but I am having a really deep conversation on europe at the moment, so I won't be joining quite yet.
AriehnV: i think i am choosing sleep tonight Varda :-)
VardaValar1: Sleep well Arien :-)
Eonwe Valar: It's probably best you choose sleep Arien, if I look like Varda to you :}
AriehnV: i have suffered a bit after the last couple of weeks but i ll join you again soon :-)
VardaValar1: hehehe
ArPharazonV: Namarie then, Arien :-)
Eonwe Valar: Sleep well Arien :}
VardaValar1: We don't want you suffering. Maybe earlier running or another day.
AriehnV: :-) Namarie for now
AriehnV has left the room.
ArPharazonV: Saving and sending transcript
karakedi25: namarie
karakedi25 has left the room.
