Before-meeting:
You have just entered room "valarguildmeetingplace."
ArPharazonV: Aiya folks
fladrifv: aiya!
VardaValar1 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya! Trying Pidgin.
fladrifv: yay
fladrifv: and and?
VardaValar1: O good, it seems to work!
fladrifv: hehe ofcourse it does :-)
VardaValar1: It was so quiet, I wasn't sure. :-)
VardaValar1: I mean as in may need setting changes.
ArPharazonV: there, set my little roguer up for some relic-hunting in Mathystra tomorrow.. now time for meeting!
VardaValar1: You see four people in here?
ArPharazonV: yeah, there's 4
VardaValar1: Going to attempt to invite someone.
ArPharazonV: Menel, Fladrif, myself, and you, in... probable chronological order
AriehnV has entered the room.
ArPharazonV: he got lvl 26 today, first "ding" since I started levelling him again ;-)
VardaValar1: Aiyas to Arien, Phar, Flad, and Menel. The Netherlands have it!
VardaValar1: Grats Phar :-)
AriehnV: aiya :-) and grats
VardaValar1: Trying to figure how to invite in Pidgin.
VardaValar1: um er
VardaValar1: Advice?
fladrifv: ok
fladrifv: in this window
fladrifv: invite
ArPharazonV: don't ask me, Flad's the only other pigeon around here
fladrifv: under conversation
VardaValar1: One at a time and have to type in each one?
AriehnV: hm m no idea
Eonwe Valar has entered the room.
fladrifv: I fear so
fladrifv: never tried mass invitation
VardaValar1: That is so not going to work.
VardaValar1: Aiya Eonwe :-)
Eonwe Valar: Heya
fladrifv: nice feature request
VardaValar1: Does Trillian allow mass invites?
VardaValar1: Eonwe, I'm trying Pidgin and they neglected to have a mass invite.
Eonwe Valar: Bah.
VardaValar1: Leaving to go back to AIM.
VardaValar1 has left the room.
Eonwe Valar: I sent one out on my way into the channel.
karakedi25 has entered the room.
karakedi25: Aiya!
Eonwe Valar: Heya Indis.
AriehnV: aiya Indis
AriehnV: aiya Eonwe
VardaValar1 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya! Back in AIM now.
Eonwe Valar: Everyone on my friends list is either here or invited.
VardaValar1: Hi Indis :-)
karakedi25: Hi Varda
VardaValar1: Sent invitations.
top

VardaValar1: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
VardaValar1: Membership:
VardaValar1: I have a question for those here:
VardaValar1: How did the attempt go at keeping up the chat room after the Anniversary marathon was over?
GwaihirValar has entered the room.
GwaihirValar: hullo
fladrifv: I have been here quite often
AriehnV: aiya Gwaihir
fladrifv: together with menel
VardaValar1: Aiya Eagle :-)
ArPharazonV: I.... don't think I have been much, sorry
AriehnV: i hadnt been there i fear i was slightly busy i fear
VardaValar1: Very cool, so we had some here!
karakedi25: as far as I could tell, no one was on right afterwards, but maybe since
karakedi25: I'll try to check in more often then
fladrifv: Im on gmt+1
VardaValar1: So we had Flad, Menel, and Indis on some this past week. :-)
VardaValar1: The time zones could be throwing you, Indis.
karakedi25: possible, since I'm on GMT-5
fladrifv: we sleep or work when youre awake :-)
VardaValar1: Congratulations that the room continued at all, very cool that you did that!
VardaValar1: We have a new member this week:
fladrifv: ...not that I state that I can sleep at work....
karakedi25: :D
VardaValar1: Malbeth-(V), from LotRO, an old guild-friend since the beginning of live LotRO, usually seen as Etheron.
VardaValar1: Note the -eth in his new name. ;-)
AriehnV: some peeple at my place of work seem to manage .. sigh
ArPharazonV: all's fine as long as you don't get caught
VardaValar1: Better to try to sleep at sleep-time, less complicated. : )
VardaValar1: Any further membership news?
VardaValar1: Sauron came in and said hi. :-)
Eonwe Valar: Heya to Sauron :}
AriehnV: aye tulkas sends his appologies
VardaValar1: Apologies for what? Comp blow up again?
AriehnV: he is busy destroying a turkey he hunted down yesterday in his courtyard
AriehnV: its canadian thanksgiving
karakedi25: after cooking it first, of course
VardaValar1: Sounds like he'll have quite a tale to tell. : )
VardaValar1: mmm Thanksgiving turkey!
ArPharazonV: destroying, eh?
ArPharazonV: sounds messy
VardaValar1: That's great! Thank you for passing that bit on!
AriehnV: hehe well i believe he hass some family for dinner
ArPharazonV: fatality....
karakedi25: so he has help in the demolition
VardaValar1: Excellent, best way to eat turkey.
AriehnV: i am in game Lotro at the moment and shortly saw him so he asked to pass on the message
AriehnV: which i did herewith :-)
VardaValar1: Thanks, and it tickles me that you're in LotRO!
karakedi25: :-)
AriehnV: in trestlebridge in fact aye but fully present here
AriehnV: hehe
karakedi25: in fact, after the meeting, Tinirian plans to help Arien demolish orcs in north Breeland
VardaValar1: Hi to anyone else over there.
VardaValar1: Sounds like mayhemmic fun. :-)

VardaValar1: On to Web News:
VardaValar1: It's a bit membershippy :-)
karakedi25: I passed your greeting on
VardaValar1: Thanks
VardaValar1: Eonwe has posted anniversary pictures taken in WoW Lothar showing a bunch of us at major cities shooting fireworks and giving the anniversary shout-out.
VardaValar1: There's a trick to seeing them.
VardaValar1: Go to the Games page:
VardaValar1: http://valarguild.org/gaming
VardaValar1: Guild Branches > Lothar WoW > Events
VardaValar1: There are the pictures.
VardaValar1: Not recommended for dial-up. : )
VardaValar1: If anyone else has anniversary pics they would like to share, we'd be interested.
VardaValar1: I was trying to do some webwork but didn't get anything online in time for the meeting, my apologies.
VardaValar1: Any further web news?
VardaValar1: I am assuming gaming pics on those anniversary pictures. : )
AriehnV: very nice
AriehnV: caught the fireworks nicely
VardaValar1: Menel, do you have some idea how big our memory for picture files is on the forum? Or could you try to find out?
VardaValar1: We may have to doctor them a bit after posting to shrink the insanely large size screenies come in.
VardaValar1: On to Gaming whilst Menel cogitates on that. : )
top

VardaValar1: Gaming:
VardaValar1: Games not WoW or LotRO:
VardaValar1: Fladrif, you did a couple of cool things in Second Life. Would you like to tell about them?
VardaValar1: *strengthens stage*
AriehnV: he s turned treeish
VardaValar1: Uh oh.
VardaValar1: Any elves around to talk to him and wake him?
AriehnV: *tickles ent with restoring sunrays*
VardaValar1: Might be looking at the pictures.
VardaValar1: Flad, let us know when you're back and we'll let you tell your news then. : )  [Note: Fladrif gave a quiz in Second Life including questions over the LotR, winners receiving Linden dollars. He also worked on his avatar so that he could turn into a huge dragon.]
ArPharazonV: played some BfME myself, but not much to tell, finished one level and got most of the next
VardaValar1: Sounds like a good bit. What part of LotR did it show?
ArPharazonV: first I destroyed the dam in Isengard using the Ents and Merry and Pippin
ArPharazonV: then I started freeing North Ithilien from the Haradrim and Orcs using Faramir, Frodo and Sam
ArPharazonV: Rohan is now pretty much freed, 2-3 provinces remain, and the focus has shifted to Gondor
ArPharazonV: interesting to see how they have the armies and groups of characters moving through the campaign, since keeping Boromir alive in Amon Hen he's been travelling with the Fellowship a bit
ArPharazonV: currently going with Gandalf and Pippin to Minas Tirith, I wonder how they all fit on Shadowfax ;-)
VardaValar1: Good trick.
VardaValar1: No other horse can keep up with Shadowfax.
Eonwe Valar: Boromir shield-surfs holding on to a rope pulled by Shadowfax, of course :}
AriehnV: one sits the wrong way round in front of Gandalf (shadowfax knows his way well enough and one behind Gandalf?
VardaValar1: I wonder if he's supposed to help settle things with dear old dad to smooth Aragorn's return.
VardaValar1: Shield-surfing! The new sport!
AriehnV: hehe sounds fun
ArPharazonV: few rocks in the way and off he flies
VardaValar1: Inner-tubing came much later. But now we don't have inner tubes, so we may go back to shields?
karakedi25: kind of heavy in the water
Eonwe Valar: That's when the awesome air flips come in :} Shield surfing's an extreme sport :}
VardaValar1: Any other games?
VardaValar1: hehehe
AriehnV: oh what a picture to visualize .. g*giggles*
AriehnV: nice one Phara
AriehnV: played some more strarcraft but not vry long
VardaValar1: Boromir may find himself walking most of the way.
ArPharazonV: so far he seems to be keeping pace
ArPharazonV: must be a brisk run
VardaValar1: I'm switching to WoW but mostly want to hear just the very high highlights and if you met any fellow Valarites like Theoden again? Argent Dawn?
ArPharazonV: yeah, he's been around in the channel
VardaValar1: Excellent!
VardaValar1: He's welcome to the forum, chat room, or email to the Tolkien Site.
VardaValar1: Seen Helm or Valandil?
VardaValar1: Any quick highlights for AD?
VardaValar1: I know Phar is raiding a lot! Nearly nightly?
ArPharazonV: yep, pretty much
ArPharazonV: 5 nights a week now, would probably be more if the styledancing season hadn't started up again on thursdays for me
VardaValar1: You need a break. : )
VardaValar1: Moving to WoW general. Eonwe, go ahead.
Eonwe Valar: Thanks.
ArPharazonV: we've cleared 25-man Coliseum, I think that was last week...
ArPharazonV: yeah, continue, sorry
Eonwe Valar: It seems that day we've been dreading and expecting is coming soon.
ArPharazonV: Icecrown Citadel?
Eonwe Valar: Yesterday mmo-champion mentioned an faq on the eu forums that sets the date where everyone must have merged their WoW accounts with the new Battle.net accounts at November 12th.
ArPharazonV: eep?
Eonwe Valar: Apparently the FAQ came down in the last 24 hours, but it stills shows they're getting real close.
AriehnV: my druid dinged 80 and moved to auchindoun and transferred there to horde
AriehnV: managing three different guilds on two servers was a bit too much
ArPharazonV: forced merger? really? I hoped that'd never happen
Eonwe Valar: Blizzard wants to shift all the authenticating to their Battle.net system, so it's going to happen eventually.
AriehnV: how does that work?
Eonwe Valar: What bothers me is that it makes your e-mail your login.
AriehnV: can key loggers crack that?
Eonwe Valar: Well, you'd make your Battle.net account, then merge your WoW account with it.
ArPharazonV: what happens if you don't do it?
Eonwe Valar: If they can log your keystrokes, they can crack anything you're typing :}
ArPharazonV: if you have multiple bnet accounts and don't select one manually?
AriehnV: and if u dont do it will they actually not allow u to polay wow?
Eonwe Valar: If you don't merge your WoW account with a Battle.net account, you won't be able to log into or play WoW once doing so becomes mandantory.
ArPharazonV: Ah.
AriehnV: but battle net doesnt cost extra?
Eonwe Valar: If you have multiple accounts merged to the same Battle.net account, you're supposed to be able to choose which one you want to play at login/authentication.
AriehnV: if it does i ll cancel my account
Eonwe Valar: No, Battle.net has always been a free service of Blizzard. They're just trying to unite all their games under that banner now instead of leaving WoW and the other mmo out on their own.
VardaValar1: Sort of like when we went into Diablo 1 and StarCraft and WarCraft.
Eonwe Valar: In the future, WoW, SC2, and D3 players will be able to talk to eachother regardless of game throug hthe new Battle.net. That's at least what they're saying now.
AriehnV: ah
AriehnV: would us players be able to talk to eu players if they use the same server?
AriehnV: on battle net?
Eonwe Valar: I'm not sure, but I don't think so.
VardaValar1: In the old Bnet, we could choose a region and all show up there in the same channel and games.
Eonwe Valar: I'm not sure there's going to be an offical eu/us bridging through Battle.net, as I don't think they've mentioned anything about one.
Eonwe Valar: Aye.
VardaValar1: Not as good as the old one then.
Eonwe Valar: Older battle.net games will probably work the same way in that reghard.
Eonwe Valar: *regard
Eonwe Valar: For SC2 and D3, I wouldn't be surprised if it was pretty much the same.
Eonwe Valar: Seeing as Battle.net 2.0 isn't really out yet, and they're still playing their hands close to their chests in most regards, I'm not sure how much we'll be able to do the the new Battle.net yet.
VardaValar1: Would we US WoW players be able to talk to each other across servers, like Sauron in Lothar to Gwaihir in the pvp server for instance?
Eonwe Valar: I believe we would, yes.
VardaValar1: That might be interesting.
GwaihirValar: Eo, the multiple accounts thing works very well
GwaihirValar: thereès only one small problem with it and that is that you cannot switch between accounts without logging out and back in
Eonwe Valar: Thanks Gwaihir.
GwaihirValar: I have both my accounts linked, and havenèt run into any problems at all
Eonwe Valar: I assume you can still play both simoultaneously if you want?
ArPharazonV: how about horde players talking to alliance players through bnet?
GwaihirValar: yep
Eonwe Valar: I assume it'd be possible Phar.
GwaihirValar: I cannot see that being a problem
GwaihirValar: since you can have horde and alliance chars on the same server now
ArPharazonV: hmhm
VardaValar1: You take the flag and then we will. : )
GwaihirValar: If they see that happening, youèll still be banned
GwaihirValar: lol
Eonwe Valar: It's about talking regardless of game, so I don't see them putting an Alliance/Horde restriction.
GwaihirValar: I am really looking forward to that part
VardaValar1: Cool
GwaihirValar: just wish theyèd do it for wc3 as well
VardaValar1: Hoping they will reconsider the email part, and they already had bnet for WC3.
Eonwe Valar: I still would prefer they allowed us to have a unique login name for the account rather than an e-mail address.
VardaValar1: You meant the talk across, pardon. : )
GwaihirValar: yep
GwaihirValar: and the bnet 2.0 benefits
GwaihirValar: like the new tourney system and the idea of not having to pre-download maps to play games
Eonwe Valar: Here's the Battle.net Account FAQ that'll tell you a bit about it, for those interested:
Eonwe Valar: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=26030&parentCategoryId&pageNumber=1&categoryId=3533
GwaihirValar: I donèt really understand why e-mail address is a problem...
VardaValar1: Except custom-made ones?
GwaihirValar: in WoW you canèt see account name anyways
GwaihirValar: so its not a privacy concern and with the bnet real life id system its even less of one
Eonwe Valar: Some of us have our e-mail addresses posted a few more places than you, and would have to create a brand new one just for Battle.net to be safe :}
VardaValar1: (Fangorn and Elwing who is in WoW say hi!)
GwaihirValar: get an authenticator
AriehnV: :-)
GwaihirValar: they are virtually uncrackable
AriehnV: say hi back
GwaihirValar: It generates a new series of 6 numbers every 30 seconds that has to be entered in to log into the game
GwaihirValar: I imagine the authenticators will work in sc2 and d3 as well
Eonwe Valar: Some of us think it's stupid to have to pay Blizzard more to get account security we should already have :}
GwaihirValar: I got mine at blizzcon so I suppose thats a concern
GwaihirValar: but arenèt the mobile authenticators freeÉ
GwaihirValar: wow my keymap is messed up on this laptop
GwaihirValar: lol
ArPharazonV: I *assume* the emailaddress you associate your accounts with will be the same as the one they send Blizzard stuff to?
GwaihirValar: so far, yep
ArPharazonV: that kinda limits the choice of emails I got...
Eonwe Valar: To remind everyone though , they did take that FAQ down, so it may not be a deadline of the 12th of November after all.
GwaihirValar: My guess will be that authenticators are going to start being bundled in with new blizzard games for that exact reason though
Eonwe Valar: The FAQ I refer to as being taken down is the first one I mentioned, not the one I linked, by the way. Just want to be clear :}
GwaihirValar: however them forcing the link is actually promising
ArPharazonV: hmm, Eonwe, was gonna say, I don't see a deadline on the one you linked
ArPharazonV: just an "eventually"
GwaihirValar: they have to have it done before sc2 goes up, even for beta I suspect
Eonwe Valar: Aye.
Eonwe Valar: If there are no more comments or questions on this topic, I yield the floor back to Varda.
VardaValar1: Thank you.
VardaValar1: LotRO:
VardaValar1: Most of our folk are there busily questing and crafting. :-)
VardaValar1: We are getting ready for the Mirkwood expansion.
karakedi25: a number are developing alts
VardaValar1: Aye, there is a great deal of alt stuff going on as we have many that hit max level.
karakedi25: and it takes immense focus and persistence to get a full set of initial raid gear
VardaValar1: So our high levels can craft for the new guys. : )
VardaValar1: Main raid problem is getting people on at the same time. That's been very bad.
karakedi25: *agrees*
VardaValar1: Indis, you are on a lot. What time of day seems to have the most Valarite traffic to you?
karakedi25: we actually have quite a few people in the kinship, but they aren't on at the same time, or they're playing different level characters
karakedi25: EST evening
VardaValar1: We can switch to the same level if we want, though. : )
karakedi25: so-called prime time
VardaValar1: Maybe it really is prime time then. : )
karakedi25: some are leveling their first character--a number in the 30's now.
VardaValar1: So around 6pm or after that in EST might be good for group runs?
karakedi25: Tulkas has been very persistent.
karakedi25: more likely 8-11 or 12 or so
VardaValar1: Tulkas with his comp that keeps getting too hot to play. :-)
VardaValar1: That sounds right.
VardaValar1: Ok, Indis is about to start the very cool Gollum instance!
karakedi25: rough on the Europeans though
VardaValar1: Wish her luck!
VardaValar1: True.
karakedi25: :-) I get to chase Gollum in the dark
VardaValar1: Menel, we need your European afternoon run group that you were talking about. : )
Eonwe Valar: Have fun, hehe.
ArPharazonV: ooh, fun
ArPharazonV: don't catch him I suppose?
VardaValar1: Need to get your character in there.
karakedi25: yes, I've been saving a slot for that
VardaValar1: I am too. One slot left.
karakedi25: no, we don't catch him, but we come close
VardaValar1: But some of the Europeans don't want to start over at level 1, especially if it's not going to be regular.
VardaValar1: We get to see a good bit of Gollum. : )
VardaValar1: In that instance at least.
karakedi25: how do we manage that? Can they copy a character to a US server?
ArPharazonV: is he modelled after the second and third movies?
karakedi25: yes, he looks very much like the one in the film
ArPharazonV: I'd like to see the gollum from the first movie again, before he was really developed
VardaValar1: The Europeans buy the Turbine USA discs, instead of Codemasters, and use a payment that works in the USA.
VardaValar1: Arien is European, you can ask her. : )
karakedi25: to tell the truth, I don't remember for sure how they were different
VardaValar1: Since you are playing together.
VardaValar1: They use different discs. Europe is run by Codemasters and Americas by Turbine.
VardaValar1: Different servers, languages.
karakedi25: so if they have a developed character, I'm not sure how it would be able to come to Landroval
VardaValar1: They don't.
VardaValar1: I am talking about our Europeans already in Landroval.
karakedi25: which means they would have to start over, and my understanding was that the plan was for all of us to do so.
VardaValar1: Arien, Irmo, Miriel, Menelvagor.
VardaValar1: Indis, they are already there.
karakedi25: ok, that's mostly a matter of timing
VardaValar1: Elatan is not going to come to Turbine.
VardaValar1: Yes.
VardaValar1: Menel said he would set up a group in the afternoon.
VardaValar1: But he has not done so yet.
karakedi25: yes, and I've been waiiting for it
VardaValar1: *pokes Menel*
VardaValar1: We had one more WoW report, go ahead Eonwe.
Eonwe Valar: Thanks.
Eonwe Valar: Just wanted to mention we had alot of dungeon activity this week in Lothar. With Sauron, Fangorn, Varda, Bilbo, and myself.
VardaValar1: Elwing was in also. : )
VardaValar1: Ran with my priest.
Eonwe Valar: And Elwing, pardon :}
Eonwe Valar: Early in the week we went after Nexus.
Eonwe Valar: Later in the week (Thursday I think it was) we went after Ahn'Kahet, Azjol'Nerub, and the Violet Hold.
Eonwe Valar: Got those three done in about 2 hours total.
GwaihirValar: Ahn Kahet is a cool instance
VardaValar1: My first time in - great fun. : )
Eonwe Valar: That's it from me :}
VardaValar1: Thank you, Eonwe. : )
VardaValar1: Sauron, as his birthday gift, requested that I level my highest character (priest Varda) ten levels in the next two months.
VardaValar1: Cut into my LotRO playing unfortunately, as that is my home game.
VardaValar1: But in compensation, both Sauron and Bilbo have come into LotRO now and then. : )
VardaValar1: Any further business?
VardaValar1: If there is no further business, we are changing to Tolkien chat. : )
top

VardaValar1: Tolkien:
ArPharazonV: Hwell, I gotta be going
VardaValar1: Namarie, Phar
ArPharazonV: I'll be saving and sending transcript, and will have a lot of reading to do when the tolkien-part goes up :-)
VardaValar1: We need to switch on the hour to help your timing, I think?
ArPharazonV: pretty much
ArPharazonV: but don't let me rush you, really, I would hate to feel like I'm forcing you to skip stuff
VardaValar1: Business meetings have been taking too long, no worries. : )
AriehnV: Namarie Phar
ArPharazonV: next period should be better, I think I've got mornings off again
ArPharazonV: but that's still a few weeks from now
ArPharazonV: saving and sending
AriehnV: i have posted on rp btw
VardaValar1: Yay! Thanks!
AriehnV: but i need a reaction from varda or Menel
karakedi25: a charming post, too
karakedi25: yes, it would be premature for Meren to post until Frali is safely on land
AriehnV has left the room.
VardaValar1: Looking now
ArPharazonV (5:30:47 PM): saved
VardaValar1 (5:31:44 PM): Fainan's reaction could only be to keep the pole steady. Someone else will have to help pull them off the pole. She's pretty near the bank but in the water.
VardaValar1 (5:32:09 PM): Maybe she can try to lift the pole and pole the boat closer, if
VardaValar1 (5:32:32 PM): other pull on the ropes on their side, connected to the ferryboat.
ArPharazonV (5:32:35 PM): transcript sent
ArPharazonV (5:32:37 PM): Namarie all
VardaValar1 (5:32:41 PM): Thank you, Phar!
ArPharazonV (5:33:12 PM): see you next week
VardaValar1 (5:33:17 PM): I would also like us to make enough noise
VardaValar1 (5:33:22 PM): Sounds good!
Eonwe Valar (5:33:23 PM): So we're going to rescue Estarion and Frali now? Just to make sure I'm clear on the plan.
ArPharazonV (5:33:31 PM) has left the room.
karakedi25 (5:33:36 PM): and make noise to attract orcs?
VardaValar1 (5:33:44 PM): to attracte the attention of a passing orc scout, one very grumpy at the sentry duty.
AriehnV (5:33:49 PM) has entered the room.
VardaValar1 (5:33:52 PM): he might only notice the horses.
VardaValar1 (5:34:00 PM): Hard to see
AriehnV (5:34:02 PM): pardon me sorry lol
AriehnV (5:34:11 PM): what have i missed?
VardaValar1 (5:34:33 PM): Eonwe, could you fill in Arien?
VardaValar1 (5:34:41 PM): I'll post a short bit
Eonwe Valar (5:35:04 PM): Sure, I'll put it in an IM so it's not a list of reposts in the main channel.
karakedi25 (5:37:51 PM): going to do the instance now and so will be out of contact for a bit
VardaValar1 (5:39:01 PM): Post made.
Eonwe Valar (5:39:12 PM): I'm still trying to figure out Auros' post. I know he wouldn't just stand by and watch as the rescue attempt was made, but since Fainan's got the pole, the only other thing I can think of is rope, and, well, that just paints the image of a cowboy elf, hehe.
VardaValar1 (5:39:20 PM): That should set the rest of you up. : )
VardaValar1 (5:39:41 PM): The ropes are on pulleys to the ferry. They need pulled on to help bring it back to shore.
Eonwe Valar (5:39:51 PM): I meant other rope :}
VardaValar1 (5:39:54 PM): hehe
VardaValar1 (5:40:19 PM): They aren't very far off shore, the reason Estarion slipped in, reaching for Frali.
VardaValar1 (5:40:45 PM): Main trick here is noise and motion, especially of the horses at this point, attracting an orc scout.
VardaValar1 (5:41:26 PM): Go Cowboy Auros! or not. ;-)
Eonwe Valar (5:42:20 PM): Hmm, the pulley-ropes are probably hanging close to where the two are, since they're probably not too far from the ferry yet?
VardaValar1 (5:42:36 PM): The pulley ropes are attached to the shore. To pulleys.
VardaValar1 (5:42:52 PM): We were going to take them off, possibly, when done, for securitiy.
VardaValar1 (5:43:27 PM): Fainan was going to walk back on a rope stretched up high over the water between trees as a walkway, a la the Lorien trip in the books.
VardaValar1 (5:43:50 PM): Legolas mentions that he can take that path, although the others probably can't, and it's a rope strung out.
VardaValar1 (5:45:03 PM): So it seemed like something they did in Mirkwood.
Eonwe Valar (5:45:14 PM): They're still up now though? Considering if Auros wouldn't hold onto that while trying to reach for Frali/Estarion..
karakedi25 (5:45:28 PM): Ok, instance finished, and gollum escaped, and his orc escort dead :)
VardaValar1 (5:45:34 PM): Congrats, Indis!
VardaValar1 (5:45:45 PM): Yes, Auros.
Eonwe Valar (5:45:52 PM): Congrats :} So it was meren's fault Gollum escaped! :}
VardaValar1 (5:45:55 PM): They were to be untied after the boat was across.
VardaValar1 (5:46:00 PM): Now we know!
karakedi25 (5:46:29 PM): it was indeed!
Eonwe Valar (5:48:03 PM): Afraid I need to go afk. I'll try to have Auros' post this week.
VardaValar1 (5:48:29 PM): Looking forward to that!
VardaValar1 (5:48:36 PM): Will anyone else be posting tonight?
karakedi25 (5:48:37 PM): good, you set us up nicely, V
