Before-meeting
Meeting begins
Membership:
Eonwe will not be coming to meetings for the undetermined future since work now goes across that time-slot.
Chairperson: We now need someone willing to be gaveler #3, to take over when Varda can't make it to meetings. Volunteer is preferred. Otherwise the roster is highest-honor person present takes the gavel. If no officers are present, Full Member ArPharazon is the chairperson, since he has more experience with meetings than most officers.
Web:
    Stories by Jay of Lasgalen
Gaming:
    Drakensang
    StarCraft/BroodWar
    Diablo 2X
    WoW
    LotRO
Tolkien:
    Heroic acts:
Beregond defies all the great ones of his world to save Faramir.
        The forging of the rings.
        Writing lotr.
Bilbo facing the spiders in Mirkwood to free his Dwarven companions.
Challenge to the guild: Write a drabble about any action in Tolkien's books that you consider heroic, to show why it is heroic. A drabble is a story of exactly 100 words. If a partnership or team works together to make a drabble, all should be credited. These will be show online, and hopefully will go into the guild's Stories site.
Ended the meeting early for those who said they wouldn't have time later in the week to write a drabble, to give them writing time.
After-meeting:
    Menelvagor dropped by.

Before-meeting:
You have just entered room "valarguildmeetingplace."
VardaValar1 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya!
VardaValar1: I'm also in LotRO with some of my family
ArPharazonV: I'm in WoW, just got myself a new hat from 25-man Kelthuzad and was getting it gemmed
VardaValar1: cool :-)
VardaValar1: No one else took the invite so far
ArPharazonV: I'm at 4x7.5 and 1x7 now
arwenv1 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Arwen :-)
ArPharazonV: also have the best weapon for both cat and bear, just about the best bracers and boots...
ArPharazonV: I'm getting quite far here :-)
VardaValar1: Eowyn is gaming with some of us in LotRO. :-)
arwenv1: :-)
VardaValar1: Just us three today?
VardaValar1: Don't leave your games, then. :-)

VardaValar1: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
VardaValar1: Membership:
ArPharazonV: I'm in contact with Flad through msn, but since he's visiting here in the Netherlands and probably has lots of stuff to do I'm not sure he'll be able to join us
VardaValar1: Eonwe is now working at meeting time.
VardaValar1: We need a gaveler #3, prefer a volunteer, one who will be here regularly.
VardaValar1: Phar, if no officer is present, you get to be it. : )
VardaValar1: You know the drill better than most officers!

VardaValar1: Web:
VardaValar1: Stories by Jay of Lasgalen are now up, a nice batch.
VardaValar1: More are coming!
ArPharazonV: wait, what? you're not leading?
ArPharazonV: oh
VardaValar1: I am leading today and when present.
ArPharazonV: "regularly"
ArPharazonV: very well
VardaValar1: When I can't make it, and Eonwe is working, and no officer is present, you're it! :-)
ArPharazonV: honestly, without you, Eonwe, Menelvagor, Pallando and Arien...
VardaValar1: *tag!*
ArPharazonV: there's often not much to lead
VardaValar1: Aye, but sometimes we have people.
VardaValar1: We need at least someone present, and I will always try my best to be here.

VardaValar1: Gaming:
ArPharazonV: very well
VardaValar1: Beleg says he played Drakensang, kind of like a tabletop rpg online.
VardaValar1: New to us, and he asked if any of you heard of it.
VardaValar1: My family has also been playing some games like BroodWar, Diablo 2X, others that I don't keep track of. : )
VardaValar1: WoW:
ArPharazonV: what, like an online D&D?
VardaValar1: Any WoW comments from you two?
VardaValar1: Sort of
ArPharazonV: well, let me think... not much, I think, a few more old friends from before TBC returning from away and back to my guild, but that's not valar-related
ArPharazonV: we've got both Naxxes pretty much on farm now in the raidgroup, Malygos is still a problem, also not valar-related...
ArPharazonV: so.. yeah, not much
VardaValar1: Thanks
VardaValar1: Arwen, having fun in WoW?
VardaValar1: Bilbo pretty much pulled out of WoW, sometimes shows in LotRO now.
VardaValar1: LotRO is a busy place.
VardaValar1: Right at this second, we have: Varda Elwing, Eowyn, Fangorn, Beleg, and Gorlim.
VardaValar1: More earlier.

VardaValar1: Tolkien:
VardaValar1: Would any of you like to give a Tolkien moment?
ArPharazonV: rhmm....
ArPharazonV: can't think of any off the top of my head
VardaValar1: I tend to flip through one of the books. : )
fladrifv has entered the room.
VardaValar1: This one is too long to type all of
VardaValar1: Aiya Flad!
fladrifv: Aiya
fladrifv: live from the netherlands
VardaValar1: The whole bit where Beregond defies all the great ones of his world to save Faramir.
VardaValar1: Yay Flad!
VardaValar1: That is a heroic act!
VardaValar1: Anyone think of another heroic act by an individual?
VardaValar1: Anything too long to type is probably worth discussion. :-)
fladrifv: the forging of the rings? :-)
fladrifv: without it we wouldnt have a story to discuss
VardaValar1: hehe
VardaValar1: Good for discussion, aye!
fladrifv: so I vote for tolkien
ArPharazonV: writing lotr was a heroic fact indeed!
ArPharazonV: *act
VardaValar1: I completely agree!
VardaValar1: Just writing something short is tough.
VardaValar1: I suggest each of you try to write one drabble by next Sunday, any Middle-earth subject. :-)
ArPharazonV: Bilbo facing the spiders in Mirkwood
VardaValar1: It's 100 words exactly.
VardaValar1: Good, Phar!
ArPharazonV: to free his Dwarven companions
VardaValar1: The drabble could be over any heroic act, like you just mentioned.
VardaValar1: I have to do it too! ack!
ArPharazonV: hmm.... *ponders* never done a drabble before, will be busy most nights of the week and I got 2 exams coming the week after...
ArPharazonV: it's....
VardaValar1: If you're not sure how, look at Jay of Lasgalen's, only 100 words.
ArPharazonV: it's easy enough to find an excuse not to do it for, anyway
ArPharazonV: but I'll think about it
VardaValar1: I'll turn you all loose now and you can try to write one, maybe using one of the subjects we just mentioned.
VardaValar1: So you just got a block of time you would have used on the meeting. :-)
VardaValar1: Liable to be fun and you can talk to each other over it.
VardaValar1: If it's a couple of you doing it, I'll show you as co-authors on the page. :-)
VardaValar1: PharFlad : )
VardaValar1: Makes me tremble too.
VardaValar1: It will be our heroic act this week!
VardaValar1: Namarie : )
VardaValar1 has left the room.

After-meeting:
ArPharazonV: well, that was....
ArPharazonV: ...short
arwenv1: lol
arwenv1 has left the room.
ArPharazonV: feels like I stepped in here, got waltzed over by meeting, and left trampled on the ground
fladrifv: *picks the poos little king up*
ArPharazonV: *grin*
ArPharazonV: well, I'll save and send the transcript to Varda
Menelvagor Valar has entered the room.
Menelvagor Valar: meeting over already?
ArPharazonV: yep
ArPharazonV: only 4 people
ArPharazonV: it was over within half an hour
Menelvagor Valar: okidoke.
Menelvagor Valar: going to bed then.
Menelvagor Valar: Namarie
Menelvagor Valar has left the room.
