VardaValar1: The Laytonrim had a great Thanksgiving, all coming together somehow despite pouring rain and weird work schedules.

VardaValar1: Who played games that were not WoW or LotRO this past week?
VardaValar1: StarCraft/BroodWar was heavily LANned on four computers this weekend at my house. Many evil computers fell.
ArPharazonV: Dungeon Siege but your probably getting bored with that ;-)

VardaValar1: Good to hear you are still playing it, not boring.
VardaValar1: We tell WoW and LotRO every week too. : )

Eonwe Valar: I played some Halo 2 with Dracxil.

ArPharazonV: Arien's lvl 33 rogue had some trouble with her rogue quest
in Westfall, getting a poison that prevented stealthing before having
pickpocketed the quest item she needed
ArPharazonV: luckily my paladin was nearby in Stranglethorn, so I flew over to remove it, and have her try the quest again :-)
ArPharazonV: it wasn't much, but that's my Valar report, Arien might have other news, but you'll have to wait for her then :-)

VardaValar1: My family played on and off all week, but for the actual Friday report from
VardaValar1: Eonwe:
VardaValar1: Due to this being Thanksgiving weekend, I came in a bit late.
VardaValar1: Finding that I had missed those few who came in, I went to my Druid Kalmo and decided to level him up.
VardaValar1: I got 2 levels, bringing him to a grand total of 34 levels high.
VardaValar1: With the aid of Varda and Fangorn, I have purchased the first two pages of the Guild bank, and moved the guild bank items to it.
VardaValar1: All members with
characters within the Guild Branch on Lothar are free to deposit and
withdraw items for characters within the guild branch.
VardaValar1: [Not Eonwe's words: Slyroost, an initiate and friend of
Varda's family, added 15 gold to the bank although he cannot take
things from the bank himself.
VardaValar1: We hope to help him acquire the full set of LotR books so he can become a Full Member. Christmas is coming!]
VardaValar1: Back to Eonwe and his really big personal WoW news!:
VardaValar1: In the grand tradition
of anyone seeking a challenge for themselves, from the beginning of
time to the purists of Diablo, who would take no items they themselves
did not find,
VardaValar1: among who my D1ME characters were also counted, and beyond into the future,
VardaValar1: I had set myself a long
time before the coming of daily quests that I would skip the normal
flying mount and obtain my epic flying mount.
VardaValar1: And now (actually, on Wednesday) I have achieved my goal through determination.
VardaValar1: The first 3,000 to 4,000
gold was obtained through quests, another several hundred to a thousand
from the auction house, and the rest obtained by either helping others
with quests or just plain having fun.
VardaValar1: If I didn't want to fight in one area, I went to an area I wanted to fight in.
VardaValar1: If I didn't want to play my Paladin at all, I played one of my other characters.
VardaValar1: I didn't grind myself into boredom, and I didn't hold back stuff that could help others in the guild in order to sell it.
VardaValar1: Had I done either of
these, I could've had my mount much faster, but it's about the journey
as much as it is about the destination.
VardaValar1: It may not have been the easiest path or the most efficient path, but I enjoyed the trip.
VardaValar1: Now, I am the proud rider of a Swift Green Gryphon.

VardaValar1: Fangorn and I offered 100 gold apiece so Eonwe could
finish up his mount money, as he has given the guild so much. We felt
it was well-earned.
VardaValar1: He chose to put it towards the guild bank in a selfless act benefitting everyone.
VardaValar1: It didn't hurt that it also unloaded a good bit from his gaming characters. ;-)

that people who want to try games like bzflag nexiuz and so on that
they can contact me for setting up servers and have someone to play
against of the guild.
fladrifv: it has to be a game that is freely and legaly availible

VardaValar1: A very busy bunch
VardaValar1: Among other things, we ran Barad Garaun, which I'm horribly misspelling
VardaValar1: and our level 50's (this is the cap) work very well together, running high instances together
VardaValar1: Ulmo is with us now, joined the branch yesterday I think with his level 33 Niequi.
VardaValar1: I have not seen Aragorn although his Telecontar character
shows up on the friend list, don't know what happened to him.
VardaValar1: Tuor also has not been fndable, although his Tuorr shows up on my friend list.
VardaValar1: They may be using other names.

VardaValar1: From the description, they may have been balrogs, but it doesn't say the name.
