After-meeting
Before-meeting:
You have just entered room "valarguildmeetingplace."
ArPharazonV: Aiya all!
VardaValar1: Aiya Phar :-)
ArPharazonV: sorry, just caught up in what I remember as one of the
most agonizing missions of Total Annihilation... but I'll close now :-)
VardaValar1: Aiya Ancalagon!
ArPharazonV: and eek, not that smiley again... I see you updated your
AIM?
VardaValar1: Aye, hope I'm not sorry. : )
VardaValar1: It now only saves as .html, no more .htm
ArPharazonV: I'm not sure what I used to save it as... but mine's still
the same :-)
ArPharazonV: the new one just used too much CPU to leave running during
games like WoW
ArPharazonV: so I downgraded back
VardaValar1: Mine is now back to being unable to save to "specified
location"
VardaValar1: Can't run WoW on this one anyway, but that is bad to hear.
VardaValar1: How did you downgrade?
ArPharazonV: I reinstalled the older version and set it to start
automatically instead of the new one
ArPharazonV: and I might have deinstalled the new one alltogether, not
sure
ArPharazonV: there's a benefit to saving all your setup-files :-)
Eonwe Valar has entered the room.
Star of Phaet has entered the room.
Arwen V1 has entered the room.
MrMonkey2002Blah has entered the room.
ArPharazonV: btw, I read some bad news about LotrO... but I'll save
that until the gaming section
FladrifV has entered the room.
FladrifV: Aiya
ArPharazonV: Aiya
Eonwe Valar: Heya all
Star of Phaet: Aiya folks
VardaValar1: Aiya Gilraen!
VardaValar1: oh, a bunch of you came in : )
VardaValar1: Hi all. Pardon, getting adjusted to a new program

FladrifV: quick learning is a gift only the youngsters own.
MJKeenan1234 has entered the room.
Bior the Ythling has entered the room.
Bior the Ythling: Aiya sorry i wont be able to chat much studying for

VardaValar1: Ok, the new AIM is usable, just less friendly
VardaValar1: Aiya : )

VardaValar1: Membership News:
VardaValar1: Finduilas says
she's about to get a new computer this coming week. : )
VardaValar1: Eowyn got a new
one and is wrestling Vista to let the last file for WoW on her comp, a
temp file.
VardaValar1: Finrod is going
to be going to Iraq and absent about a year. We'll be holding his name
for him.
ArPharazonV: ouch, hope he'll be allright
VardaValar1: Some of the guys over there still make it into the Forum
and other spots. Good luck to him
VardaValar1: Very good news. We have a new Full Member
LaurealasseHelka has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Gollum-(V) joined
in WoW Lothar as a Full Member, and was downloading LotRO in the
background as we spoke. : )
VardaValar1: He's a guild leader in WoW. We seem to attract the type.
VardaValar1: Any other Membership news?
ArPharazonV: friendly, honorable, responsible? :-)
VardaValar1: hehe - could be it!

VardaValar1: Web
News:
VardaValar1: A new novel in the Mellon Chronicles, at least for our
site, is half-way done in editing for uploading. "Traitor".
VardaValar1: It should be on the News this coming week, or even tonight
if I'm fast.
VardaValar1: Any other Web news?
VardaValar1: We have Tolkien web news from Srekal. : )
Srekal86: :-)
Srekal86: is anyone expecting The Children of Hurin?
Srekal86: or plan on buying it at least?
VardaValar1: You bet
VardaValar1: We've talked about it in here before.
Srekal86: well, I thought it would be fun if we could give away the
regular edition
ArPharazonV: I assume Morwen was, anyway...
Srekal86: but then I thought that would be boring, so I thought, what
if we could give away the Deluxe edition!
Srekal86: but then that was boring still so I thought, what if we could
give away the Deluxe edition signed by Alan Lee!
Srekal86: yet that still didn't sound exciting, so I thought what if we
could give away the Deluxe edition signed by Alan Lee AND Christopher
Tolkien!
Srekal86: So if you want to enter just use the code "Hurin" and the
answer is "signed"
Srekal86: http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/form.html
Srekal86: we'll be giving away 2 more Deluxe editions signed by them
during our Release Party on April 15th-17th
Srekal86: along with close to 30 other prizes, and we have over a dozen
guests lined up to come and chat.
Srekal86: More information on the event is at: http://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/The_Children
_of_Hurin_Release_Party
VardaValar1: Now that's an offer!
VardaValar1: We'll have that on the News site
Srekal86: :-) good luck to you guys
VardaValar1: Thanks, Srekal! : )
VardaValar1: Any further Web news?

VardaValar1: Gaming:
VardaValar1: Pallando fka Orodreth had to go to work, and asked this to
be passed on:
VardaValar1: He's handling the Eve Online guild branch and says this
VardaValar1: Pallando Valar: As I'll be leaving in...20 minutes, news
& etc. from eve
VardaValar1: Pallando Valar: Menel and I did a little mining yesterday,
and also got him started on combat...I've also got a 30 GTC to give
away.
VardaValar1: Pallando Valar: 30 day
VardaValar1: Pallando Valar: Anyone interested has to get a trial
account and mail Pallando Luineistar that they want it. :-)
VardaValar1: Pallando Valar: Do a drawing or summat at the end of next
week.
VardaValar1: This is very generous. Sounds like a Valarite.
ArPharazonV: oh, right, you could pay for your subscription with
in-game funds, right?
VardaValar1: I've played a little in Diablo 2 Expansion
VardaValar1: Any other non-WoW, non-LotRO news?
ArPharazonV: sure
ArPharazonV: just as last week, this week also I've been taking an hour
off from WoW here and there to play other games
ArPharazonV: I finished Total Annihiliation: Kingdoms, the
game I told you about last week, yesterday, and now I got started on
the original Total Annihilation
ArPharazonV: I'd already finished it quite a long time ago, but I
thought I'd have another go
ArPharazonV: just stumbled into what I remember to be one of the most
agonizing missions of the game, so it's time to see if I've picked up
any new skills that'll help me through it :-)
VardaValar1: Surely you have!
ArPharazonV: I hope so!
VardaValar1: Any other games played?
ArPharazonV: and that's basically it, unless you want more information
on the game
ArPharazonV: not me
VardaValar1: We want your reviews on the Games page, Phar!
ArPharazonV: I'm sure you do!
VardaValar1: Phat chance?
ArPharazonV: I'll well... I'll.. think about it?
VardaValar1: In LotRO,
we are definitely going to have a guld branch on Landroval server for
both Pre-order and Retail
VardaValar1: We can roll-over 5 characters to Retail. Level cap is 15,
no cap on the crafting.
VardaValar1: Guild also rolls over
VardaValar1: Trick is to bring 6 of us on within 24 hours to sign the
mixed race charter
VardaValar1: WoW Lothar:
ArPharazonV: ehrr... you might want to check your settings
VardaValar1: oboy
VardaValar1: big space for you too?
ArPharazonV: ever since you copy-pasted from Pallando there has been a
little space before every sentence
ArPharazonV: yep
VardaValar1: un-copy/paste?
ArPharazonV: btw, I have some LotRO
news
VardaValar1: Fire away
ArPharazonV: through other sites as
sources I've come across a statement on the forums, an announcement
ArPharazonV: http://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.ph
p?t=19175
ArPharazonV: that seems to state that people in Europe and US will
*not* be able to play on the same servers or with each other
ArPharazonV: even the workarounds that were possible for WoW (buying US
version etc) seem to be prevented here
ArPharazonV: as you know, I was already in doubt about moving into
LotRO since I'm still spending most of my time on WoW, and this could
be the decision-maker... if I can't play with most of you guys, there's
really not much use
VardaValar1: Aye. We've been hearing that for a while. They are serious
about keeping us apart.
ArPharazonV: to switch to LotRO or share my time between both
ArPharazonV: so I guess I'll be staying out of LotRO... I'm not sure if
the other European Valar will make the same decision
VardaValar1: When we talked about this before, most all of you said
you'd stick with WoW. Elatan decided to join another guild for Europe,
figuring that was his best option in LotRO.
VardaValar1: He is sticking with us as a Tolkien-only.
ArPharazonV: hmm.. I don't remember hearing it before, but I'm sure I'd
have said that :-)
VardaValar1: So we can figure LotRO will be mostly in the Turbine
region for our guild. Stinks, but only Battlenet was really kind to us.
VardaValar1: The Tolkien Site is available to all of us, as is the
Games page service and Forum, and of course this chat.
ArPharazonV: unless we were to move to games that carry 1 server
worldwide... Eve, Guildwars, and probably lots of others
VardaValar1: Maybe someday the games companies will make progress and
we will game together again.
ArPharazonV: but I doubt most of us are up for that ;-)
VardaValar1: We do have people in Eve and GuildWars and some others.
Please be sure to sign up on the Games page and let us get together.
VardaValar1: We keep hearing members surprised that other members are
in the same games. We need to communicate.
VardaValar1: WoW
Lothar Friday:
VardaValar1: The original plan was to run Scholo to help Eonwe and
Dracxil's characters complete their elite mount quest.
VardaValar1: Eonwe was trapped by programming homework. I don't know
what trunk Dracxil was stuffed in, but he didn't make it either.
VardaValar1: But we can try again.
VardaValar1: The support group that said they would help with the
Scholo run that day included Arwen, Sauron, myself, and Gollum.
Arathorn was around too, in case a slot opened.
VardaValar1: Sauron's 70 warlock joked that only a bit of steam would
be left of Scholo if we made it in. ;-)
VardaValar1: Time was not wasted. Dagghar joined during that time as Gollum-(V),
and the rest of us played in Outlands.
VardaValar1: and improved crafting - tossing each other goodies.
VardaValar1: WoW
Uldaman's group was mainly represented by Elwing and a group of
guild-friends.
TH0R0NGIL has entered the room.
VardaValar1: WoW Lothar has been very lively all week.
VardaValar1: Finrod, aiya!
VardaValar1: Pardon my evil spaces. Hope to fix that. : )
VardaValar1: WoW Argent Dawn, do you have a
report?
ArPharazonV: ...not with the Valar myself, really... though I'm happy
to report that I went to my first Karazhan in weeks this Friday, got my
leatherworking to 365 where it will probably remain for now because no
patterns require it to be higher
ArPharazonV: and I managed to kite a mob from Shadowmoon Valley all the
way to Bessy the Cow in Netherstorm this afternoon, which was quite an
achievement ;-)
ArPharazonV: if there's any Valar-happenings to report, I guess that's
up to Finduilas mostly
VardaValar1: Nice kite and crafting. : )
VardaValar1: Just running through Netherstorm is good.
VardaValar1: Finduilas will give the AD report, trying to find a safe
couple of seconds in the game. : )
VardaValar1: Please whisper your Tolkien topics now
FinduilasV: Aiya and greetings from the Blood furnace L)
FinduilasV: There is not mucjh to report this week after last weeks
activities from the guild point of view apart from rthe fact that
Aeremethar, Valandils Paladin made a nice sword for Finduilass
VardaValar1: Go crafters!
FinduilasV: so we had a quick meeting there and that was more or less
it. so a very quick report
FinduilasV: /me grins wickedly
FinduilasV: further to add is that there is a lot scouting going on at
the moment
FinduilasV: so i hope that they will pick up the offer and chance to
pop in for a meeting some day
FinduilasV: Bialywilk, the most hopeful, has downloaded AiM
FinduilasV: but he is with me at the moment
VardaValar1: Hi to Bialywilk!
FinduilasV: I will pass it on :-)
FinduilasV: This concludes my report as Eonwe always sais :-)
FinduilasV: /me pokes Eonwe
VardaValar1: hehe
VardaValar1: Have a good run and our good wishes!
FinduilasV: Thank you :-)
VardaValar1: Oh, for LotRO, tomorrow will be the Farewell
Festivities for all in Beta 2.
VardaValar1: Thanks to Ancalagon for the reminder!
VardaValar1: Then we have a break (play WoW) and go on to pre-order
time, then soon we go Live!
VardaValar1: We have our preorders in for my family of 5.
VardaValar1: Anyone who is here and able to chat Tolkien, please say Aye
VardaValar1: Aye
ArPharazonV: Aiya
LaurealasseHelka: Aye
ArPharazonV: *aye
VardaValar1: Ancalagon reminds me that we will need a new LotRO area
for posting Live. A very welcome small chore! yay!

VardaValar1: Tolkien:
VardaValar1: Personal conflicts, any book.
VardaValar1: Gollum would be an obvious one. What personal conflicts
did he have?
VardaValar1: So he was a normal individual. Fine upstanding member of
the community?
LaurealasseHelka: Heh, I would say not. If I can talk?
VardaValar1: I think maybe my weird spacing is spacing people out.
VardaValar1: This is open discussion. Talk away!
VardaValar1: *tries rez on group in chat channel*
FinduilasV: Frodo i think
LaurealasseHelka: Ok. I would say Gollum was a twisted individual.
Having said that, I am not sure that there was no good in him. For
instance, there are cases in the books, I think (if I remember
correctly), where he argues with himself about Frodo
VardaValar1: How do you think he was personally conflicted?
LaurealasseHelka: , the Ring, and himself.
VardaValar1: Right, Laurealasse
LaurealasseHelka: *nods* Well, in that case, does that not suggest that
he was, overall, a good creature, just twisted beyond recognition with
temptation?
VardaValar1: One time he very nearly reformed, but suspicious Sam
torched it.
FinduilasV: it was a personal conflict for him with the ring, - when
challenged to keep it or destroy the ring i think that was one
VardaValar1: Aye, Gollum was a Stoor Hobbit once, but not a really good
person. Not completely evil either.
FinduilasV: and when frodo used the ring, then in what way?
VardaValar1: Fin, aye. Frodo had a real problem there. The only one on
Middle-earth who could withstand the conflict so long.
FinduilasV: would he escape through the power of the ring or use it to
help is friends, or treat people cruelly to enforce his will on them or
rather treat them with pity?
FinduilasV: I think Bilbo faced a bit of that same problem
VardaValar1: Bilbo used the Ring to escape annoying neighbors. : )
VardaValar1: He didn't know its power.
FinduilasV: no he did not
FinduilasV: but he used it on the occasion to escape from the cave
FinduilasV: when he found it
VardaValar1: Bilbo also used it to help the dwarves, like in the fight
with the spiders or to stay near then when made captive by the elves.
LaurealasseHelka: I am not sure- Gollum has very little showing into
his past: I think, however, Gollum was, overall, not evil. I guess I
think Gollum would use it to further his goals, if they would not hurt
his "Friends", like Frodo, who I think he
LaurealasseHelka: cared for at times.
VardaValar1: A short passage describes Smeagol after he got the ring.
VardaValar1: He used it to learn people's secrets and gain power over
them
FinduilasV: aye :-)
VardaValar1: He was finally exiled for such deeds
LaurealasseHelka: Ah.
FinduilasV: the opposite way the two later hobbits used them
FinduilasV: no doubt he could have used it more profitable for his
people
VardaValar1: Gollum had a lot of petty meanness, self-centered,
self-pitying.
VardaValar1: The Ring may have found him a better fit than it did
Deagol.
ArPharazonV: so where *did* he gain the sense of loyalty he (half)
displays in his journey with Frodo and Sam?
VardaValar1: But Gollum was not wholly evil.
LaurealasseHelka: True- but I don't think he truly hated anything,
except, in a way, the Ring.
VardaValar1: During the Riddle Game, Bilbo reminded Gollum of the good
things he missed from the surface.
VardaValar1: Aye, love-hate for self and the Ring.
FinduilasV: *He loved and hated the ring as he loved and hated himself*
VardaValar1: Aye : )
VardaValar1: Gollum remembered having family. He was on good terms with
his cousin Deagol, out fishing with him. He'd recently enjoyed a good
birthday party.
VardaValar1: He had some basis to be good
LaurealasseHelka: *nods* I think the ring, its power, was tempting.
FinduilasV: and something it could use to twist to its purposes
LaurealasseHelka: *nods Fin*
LaurealasseHelka: Hrhm..
FinduilasV: Aye , Laurelasse?
FinduilasV: other conflicts ?
FinduilasV: i think everybody who was challenged with the ring
LaurealasseHelka: Oh- just thinking. Boromir is a perfect example of
the Ring's twisting effects. It could easily have done the same to
Gollum. But, Boromir redeemed himself.
VardaValar1: Boromir was a decent person, devoted to his country. He
was direct in action, not really up to a mental fight of that type as
was his brother Faramir.
ArPharazonV: personal conflicts, hmm... how about Faramir between his
father and the good of Gondor/the world? Those two did not always seem
to coincide
ArPharazonV: or am I looking at the wrong kind of conflict now?
LaurealasseHelka: True- however, Boromir chose to put himself near the
Ring. Ah, Faramir.
VardaValar1: Any personal conflict is good. : ) We seem to have gotten
into ones involving the Ring, which is also good.
LaurealasseHelka: Hrhm... Refresh me on the exact scenario of Faramir's
almost suicidal leaving?
LaurealasseHelka: Shoot, brb.
VardaValar1: np
ArPharazonV: well, the Ring was also part of Faramir's conflict, as his
father would obviously have preferred it brought to him, instead of
letting Frodo go with it
LaurealasseHelka: *nods*
Menelvagor Valar has entered the room.
Menelvagor Valar: Aiya
VardaValar1: Aiya Menel!
ArPharazonV: Aiya Menel
Menelvagor Valar: took some time, but I am finally back again :-D
VardaValar1: Glad you could make it : )
FinduilasV: /me waves at Menelvagor
LaurealasseHelka: Brb for real this time- dinner.
VardaValar1: Bon appetit
Menelvagor Valar: Varda, any particular reason why you appear to be
writing your messages about 4 lines under your name?
VardaValar1: It happened after I did a copy/paste. Very annoying. New
AIM program. Suggestions?
FinduilasV: it is the same with me here Valar, your Messages are 4
lines under your name
Eonwe Valar: Varda, try copy/pastng some of your text from before
copy/pasting Pallando's.
ArPharazonV: for me it's just a few spaces to the right of the name
Eonwe Valar: I personally don't notice any problems on my end with
Varda's text.
VardaValar1: VardaValar1: Aiya Phar :-)
VardaValar1: Good guess
Menelvagor Valar: restart AIM?
ArPharazonV: hm... it was a nice try
VardaValar1: Will someone please save the transcript?
Eonwe Valar: Got it covered.
ArPharazonV: I will, but I missed the first part
ArPharazonV: so if you can save what you have now, and then restart?
VardaValar1: Bless you. We can quilt those.
ArPharazonV: I missed what happened before either myself or Eonwe was
in...
ArPharazonV: so neither of us can save that bit :-)
Eonwe Valar: I've got the start of the meeting. That's all that matters.
FinduilasV: iI have saved from when i came
VardaValar1 has left the room.
ArPharazonV: ah, that's good, Finduilas will have the earliest part
then of us 3
FinduilasV: i dont know , because i was stuck in Ramparts and then
Blood Furnace
FinduilasV: so i was not active within the meeting before my second
coming in
VardaValar1 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Hail
Menelvagor Valar: yay!
Menelvagor Valar: works like a charm now :-)
VardaValar1: No spaciness? :-)
VardaValar1: Woot!
FinduilasV: Not spaced out :-)
VardaValar1: yay
ArPharazonV: still the freaky smiley though... but I guess that comes
with the new version
Menelvagor Valar: depends :-)
Menelvagor Valar: you can alter your smilies.
VardaValar1: Aye, default
VardaValar1: 8-)
FinduilasV: Ok ..personal conflicfts in Tolkiens books was the topic if
memory serves right
VardaValar1: aye
FladrifV: sorry for my absence
Menelvagor Valar: how would you say personal conflict?
FladrifV: trying to buy some 4 wheel transport...namarie
Menelvagor Valar: the direct conflict between 2 characters, or the
strife within one's mind?
VardaValar1: In mind
ArPharazonV: Namarie!
VardaValar1: Good luck1
FladrifV: thanks :-)
LaurealasseHelka: ((Sorry, I have to go.
Menelvagor Valar: poof. dead chat :'(
VardaValar1: oh, sorry. : )
VardaValar1: Namarie Laure!
LaurealasseHelka has left the room.
VardaValar1: We were talking about Gollum, Frodo. Bilbo
VardaValar1: Boromir
VardaValar1: Had started to talk about Faramir
VardaValar1: On the personal conflict side.
Menelvagor Valar: Denethor maybe?
VardaValar1: I think Legolas was chosen for having the fewest elven
style conflicts.
VardaValar1: Aragorn seemed quite focused.
VardaValar1: Gimli seemed on task
Menelvagor Valar: the conflict between his gried for Boromir and his
love for Faramir.
VardaValar1: Denethor. His love of Gondor, wanting to keep the
Stewardship in his bloodline rather than for some raggedy ranger, fear
of what Sauron showed him.
FinduilasV: yeah Denethor .. he got driven into madness by what the
stone showded him
FinduilasV: what Sauron allowed to see him
FinduilasV: his lmaybe overbig love for Boromor i think, the seeming
preferrence to Faramir
FinduilasV: Faramir felt unloved by his father and unable to live up to
his expectations
Bior the Ythling has left the room.
FladrifV: boromir was his father alike and fell for the ring....
FladrifV has left the room.

After-meeting:
VardaValar1: back. For Bilbo. Not the Sackville-Bagginses. [response to
a side window]
VardaValar1: Ok, the Vision of Eru that we try to follow. See if I am
saying it right: [response to a side window]
VardaValar1: Eru-(Valar) set us up with the idea that screening people
by LotR would give us the kind of people we wanted to associate with
VardaValar1: They would have to be literate to make it through the
whole book.
VardaValar1: They would have to agree with the ideals to stomach it.
VardaValar1: They would all have something they enjoyed in common.
VardaValar1: They would have instant relationships with each other by
their primary Tolkien name
VardaValar1: Done.
ArPharazonV: make sense
ArPharazonV: *makes sense
Menelvagor Valar: WoW has divided us though. [response to a side window]
Menelvagor Valar: and LotRO won't help either.
VardaValar1: Now we are getting into gaming problems
Menelvagor Valar: well, it has always been a big part of the Guild.
VardaValar1: We have been divided since Diabo 1 was no longer our game.
VardaValar1: Diablo 2, Diablo 2X, then versions inside that could not
game together.
VardaValar1: Then we added SC. Some could not play BW.
VardaValar1: And WC the various numbers.
Menelvagor Valar: WC3, WC3TBC.
ArPharazonV: since the games we choose divide us up by what part of the
world we live in, so do we become divided by our gaming
VardaValar1: Then all the MMORPGs
VardaValar1: EQ, EQ2, DAOC, WoW, LotRO
VardaValar1: I personally feel that LotRO is quite suitable for a
Tolkien fan club.
VardaValar1: But it is actually harder to use our names!
ArPharazonV: heh
Menelvagor Valar: yes, but how many will play it for the movies or for
just another MMO?
VardaValar1: I have seen many reasons.
Menelvagor Valar: same here.
Menelvagor Valar: some not so good as others to say it lightly.
VardaValar1: Still, for us as a Tolkien fan club, it seems natural.
Menelvagor Valar: But the issue is much broader.
VardaValar1: How many play WoW for Tolkien?
Menelvagor Valar: I do not.
VardaValar1: I find LotRO very attractive.
Menelvagor Valar: Turbine ruined LotRO for me
VardaValar1: Almost no one plays the other games for Tolkien. So that
is not a fair comparison.
Menelvagor Valar: true.
VardaValar1: I can't play with you on WoW either.
Menelvagor Valar: However, back in the b.net days, whether we played
one game or another, there was a common place to get together.
VardaValar1: Aye.
VardaValar1: We had Battlenet.
VardaValar1: Now we have IM's
VardaValar1: Srekal suggested GAIM as it can talk to all the different
IM's : )
VardaValar1: I am considering it.
Menelvagor Valar: Trillian does the same thing.
Menelvagor Valar: I don't like the program though.
VardaValar1: So GAIM and Trillian talk to each other?
VardaValar1: ahh
Menelvagor Valar: no idea.
VardaValar1: He likes GAIM a lot.
Menelvagor Valar: but the issue is far broader.
VardaValar1: I would like more comparisons.
Menelvagor Valar: Europe and America have become divided since we left
Battle.net
ArPharazonV: I play WoW because I love the Warcraft universe nearly as
much as the Tolkien universe at this point... and I know I can't keep
up with both MMOs... so I pick one for reading and one for gaming...
VardaValar1: That works, Phar : )
ArPharazonV: I try to do other Lotr-games at the side, like battle for
middle-earth and other games
VardaValar1: The idea is just that we have common intellectual ground.
VardaValar1: and moral ground somewhat.
Menelvagor Valar: There is hardly any communication outside the
meetings and continents we're on.
Menelvagor Valar: I know that.
VardaValar1: Forum, Tolkien site
ArPharazonV: and when Warcraft 3 was still "the thing" I loved nothing
better than to combine the two by playing Lotr-based custom maps...
ArPharazonV: but I'm afraid I can't combine those anymore into one
game, and I have to let LotRO go
VardaValar1: We can have IM as a Bnet meeting ground.
VardaValar1: Aye, Phar
VardaValar1: You mean let LotR go : )
ArPharazonV: not for reading :-)
Menelvagor Valar: we could, but b.net was just chance meetings
regularly ending up in a game or two.
VardaValar1: In Diablo, we did not have a Tolkien environment.
ArPharazonV: but I mean the MMO definitely, as I will do my best to
play LotR games on the side :-)
VardaValar1: ok, I"ve been chatting in a side window thinking I'm in
the main one.
VardaValar1: Let's get this show on the road.
VardaValar1: short break to grab coffee or soda or whatever

Pallando Valar: I meant in responce, I was sure Varda would say
someting. :-)
Eonwe Valar: Oh :}
Eonwe Valar: I don't recall, would have to scan the meeting minutes
real quick.
Eonwe Valar: I don't see anything except a comment by Phar about
subscriptions being paid by in-game currency.
Pallando Valar: Ah, k
