VardaValar1: Web Report:
VardaValar1: You will hear it here first, hasn't even linked into the site yet
VardaValar1: Arveleg-(V) is taking over the Book Review and List site for us
VardaValar1: He has already created a new set of pages
VardaValar1: Unveiled here:
VardaValar1: http://valarguildbookreviews.googlepages.com/home
ArPharazonV: still working on an article, btw, but I'm not used to making them :P
ArPharazonV: closing WoW now
VardaValar1: You don't have to do it alone, Phar. I can help you out, using email.
VardaValar1: Arveleg and I would certainly like to hear any comments you have on the new page
ArPharazonV: btw, as for member news, I had some internet issues this weekend, and didn't have AIM
ArPharazonV: it suddenly got fixed (seemingly out of itself) but of course I'm still not very trusting it
VardaValar1: We're glad you could make it today!
VardaValar1: Understood
ArPharazonV: so if I suddenly crash AIM, Fladrif will give you the details of why I crashed :P
VardaValar1: hehe
VardaValar1: New story, a 100 word style which is called a drabble, from Jay of Lasgalen, "Pride Goeth..." with Elladan and Elrohir.
VardaValar1: http://valarguild.org/varda/Tolkien/encyc/fiction/authorsT/JayofLasgalen/stories/drabbles/PrideGoeth.htm
VardaValar1: A quick read and a victory of sorts, of overreaching.
VardaValar1: Any other web news?

VardaValar1: Gaming News:
VardaValar1: LotRO:
VardaValar1: We are operating a new guild branch for the test server Roheryn.
VardaValar1: It takes a special extra download, so it does take room.
VardaValar1: We are still the Valar Guild, and my character is still Fainan
VardaValar1: We appreciate people signing up to show us their names for these LotRO branches as we don't yet have friend channels to find you.
VardaValar1: In Roheryn, we have seen a batch of new icons that can be startling as you start up the game
VardaValar1: Book 10 is now online for people to test
VardaValar1: I have been playing too much LotRO. ;-)
AriehnV: /laugh
VardaValar1: WoW time.
VardaValar1: Arien, do you have a WoW Argent Dawn report?
AriehnV: No report this week , i rear
AriehnV: fear even
VardaValar1: Ok, thanks. Sounds like poor neglected Uldaman. : )
VardaValar1: Uldaman did have gamers this week, but no reporters. [Note: email from Elwing, said she was on from 9-10pm EDT, saw no others.]
VardaValar1: Lothar Friday was busy
VardaValar1: Sauron, Eonwe, and Varda ran Blackrock Depths, knocking off a great many quests.
VardaValar1: It sounds odd, I know, but Eonwe's character was 70, Varda's was 63, and Sauron's was high also.
VardaValar1: Elwing also came in, not able to hit BRD, but gamed and chatted with us.
VardaValar1: Any other games played this week?
ArPharazonV: Warcraft 3
VardaValar1: Thanks, Phar : )
ArPharazonV: some evenings Fladrif and I got together in Warcraft 3 for some games
VardaValar1: Even better!
ArPharazonV: a bit vs each other and a bit vs pcs
ArPharazonV: we're slooowly getting better again :-)
VardaValar1: Practice can be fun! : )
ArPharazonV: Arien says she has no access to the room, btw
VardaValar1: At least, we can call it just practice if we like. ; )
ArPharazonV: the chatroom hree
ArPharazonV: *here
VardaValar1: She shows as being here to me. Lag?
ArPharazonV: she says she's definitely not in here
VardaValar1: oboy
ArPharazonV: and I thought *my* AIM would be buggy...
VardaValar1: It is : )
VardaValar1: I am running a very old version
ArPharazonV: so am I, actually
ArPharazonV: new one just soaks too many resources to enable it during WoW
AriehnV has left the room.
ArPharazonV: ah, there she goes
VardaValar1: That should give her a chance to return
ArPharazonV: told her that
AriehnV has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Welcome back! : )
ArPharazonV: Aiyata!
AriehnV: hanatle )
VardaValar1: It was good to see Arien in LotRO with us too : )
AriehnV: thanks a lot :-) i enjoy it :-) it is very relaxing
VardaValar1: You relaxed? In a game? : )
VardaValar1: Glad to hear it. : )
ArPharazonV: you must have a very hectic real life then!
AriehnV: indeed .... retail supermarket , tourist high season
VardaValar1: That sounds hectic, all right.
AriehnV: so loro comes in very handy :-)
VardaValar1: I think we're done with gaming?
VardaValar1: Sauron says hi from WoW Lothar. : )
GwaihirValar: Gaming is very relaxing...! :-)
VardaValar1: Gwaihir, good to hear you're having fun!
top

VardaValar1: We're ready for Tolkien
VardaValar1: I have a copy of Children of Hurin coming my way, maybe next weekend
VardaValar1: Do all of you have it already? : )
AriehnV: no not yet
VardaValar1: O good. I'm not the only one.
GwaihirValar: Nope, although I had heard about it from a co-worker, and I intend to look for it the next time I'm at a book store...
ArPharazonV: not yet, no...
VardaValar1: I have a sneaky suspicion they might consider making a movie out of it, since it's all gathered in one place at last.
ArPharazonV: not really sure where to get one in my neighbourhood, though I should look into it
ArPharazonV: heh
VardaValar1: Online maybe?
VardaValar1: I'd like to see one with the Fall of Gondolin plus Earendil's rise too.
VardaValar1: Asking a bit much of Christopher though. : )
AriehnV: hehe a film about the fall of Gondolin?
VardaValar1: Fall of Gondolin got scattered all over the books
VardaValar1: I meant a book, but that would make a stunning movie. : )
AriehnV: indeed :-)
VardaValar1: Special effects budget would be monstrous. Maybe they'd have to make it animated.
VardaValar1: Scary thought.
VardaValar1: Please, not anime.
ArPharazonV: *still waiting for Akallabeth: The Movie*
VardaValar1: Wheee! That would be something
VardaValar1: Rise and Fall of Numenor, the Movie.
AriehnV: part one and two :-)
VardaValar1: hehe
VardaValar1: The Ar-Pharazon action figure
ArPharazonV: gonna be difficult compressing 30 generations of people in 1 movie, though
ArPharazonV: movies tend to like a set cast
VardaValar1: They made Dune though : )
VardaValar1: Aye, have to work out the ones who are the same
VardaValar1: Have to wonder about Elrond's viewpoint on that whole thing
AriehnV: they could get away with it i suppose , explainable by the family resemblance but would be hard work for the mask department to make them look different
VardaValar1: Thinking about how much he has seen is a bit mind-boggling.
VardaValar1: Even Glorfindel had a long hiatus for his memory
VardaValar1: Elrond's is a solid long piece
VardaValar1: Galadriel would be one of the few he could talk to
VardaValar1: Celeborn is not too much of a late-comer, but still, compared to Galadriel, he is.
GwaihirValar: Gandalf quite probably saw it all too.
VardaValar1: Gandalf, aye.
GwaihirValar: He wasn't THERE, but he probably would've been watching, I suspect most of them would've been in some way
VardaValar1: Gandalf as Olorin walked unseen among the elves, giving them visions and encouragement.
VardaValar1: I would like to know specifics on some of that, but saw none.
VardaValar1: When is it Irmo, and when is it Gandalf?
AriehnV: he would have ben around somewhere at the time i would think maybe camouflagued as some counsellor .. since the people of middlearth in their distress were his concern
VardaValar1: Gandalf generally walked among them unseen, as a spirit I thought, rather than a person.
VardaValar1: Makes one wonder what other of the Ainur were doing that too, in or out of body.
ArPharazonV: or still are... ;-)
VardaValar1: For instance, Melian was walking around in Middle-earth when she bumped into Thingol, apparently by accident.
ArPharazonV: *watches the leaves rustle out the window*
VardaValar1: tum te tum. *looks innocent*
AriehnV: *sails through the sky in sunbark*
VardaValar1: I wonder how much Arien saw from up there
VardaValar1: Did she look only at the really large things, like a space shuttle might?
VardaValar1: Did she have some version of a telescope?
AriehnV: i think she might have been too busy tending for her precious load and passenger
VardaValar1: She could probably make out the shapes of cities
ArPharazonV: maybe she saw Maedhros hanging from Thangorodrim..
VardaValar1: She did seem busy!
VardaValar1: If the sun and moon could see details, though, they might be tempted to come do something
VardaValar1: Tilion was quite the fighter and independent thinker, for instance.
AriehnV: the fire of the sun is so bright and her own fire so hot that nobody can stand it in her neighbourhood ,
VardaValar1: She needs to keep back, aye.
AriehnV: but i think she noticed a lot of things still
ArPharazonV: she could pass things through to the Valar?
ArPharazonV: "Hey, don't look now, but there's a halfelf on a ship heading towards you"
VardaValar1: Manwe could see everything, Varda could hear everything
VardaValar1: hehe
ArPharazonV: "I think he has a Silmaril!"
AriehnV: *he is trying to make competition for me *
VardaValar1: Gimli just phoned, says hi
AriehnV: hi back :-)
VardaValar1: Would you folks like to call it here?
top

After-meeting:
VardaValar1: Maybe go post to the rp? :-)
AriehnV: I did :-D
AriehnV: poor half bored dwarf warrior not knowing how he will be welcomed by these fierce creatures
ArPharazonV: hmm, rp...
ArPharazonV: I need to think about my next move there
VardaValar1: That was July 30 :-)
AriehnV: but still with sore behind and a fancy for Fainan :-)
ArPharazonV: I should really make my next Calaron post before we arrive at Thranduil... that might have to be my next post
VardaValar1: hehe
VardaValar1: Unfortunately, I did the post before yours and need to wait for someone else
VardaValar1: We need to push Menelvagor : )
AriehnV: i ll prod him the next time i see him online :-)
VardaValar1: I was considering picking up a stronger horse in Mirkwood and letting Frali ride double.
VardaValar1: That could speed us up and cheer up Auros.
ArPharazonV: Menelvagor's out of town for a week, I believe
ArPharazonV: to a wedding in... what's the English word for the country...
VardaValar1: Been a lot longer than a week since his last post. ; )
AriehnV: aye he said that , correct i nearly forgot
VardaValar1: Rural?
VardaValar1: Actually, country is fine
ArPharazonV: the Chech republic, I think the name is
VardaValar1: Czech?
ArPharazonV: or Czech
VardaValar1: What do you call it?
AriehnV: Czechnia
ArPharazonV: we call it Tsjechie ;-)
VardaValar1: What do the Czechs call it?
VardaValar1: I never understood why don't all just use the name of the country that the locals use.
VardaValar1: It's a jawbreaker either way
ArPharazonV: well, accents and stuff...
AriehnV: toungetwister we would call it :-D
VardaValar1: We also use that word
ArPharazonV: what's the French for France and the German for Germany again?
VardaValar1: Tonguetwister
ArPharazonV: I can't recall right now
VardaValar1: Deutschland?
AriehnV: Frankreich ..
ArPharazonV: not France in German ;-)
VardaValar1: hehe
AriehnV: France is France :P just pronounced differently
VardaValar1: Gaul? : )
AriehnV: some weird sound through the nose i believe
VardaValar1: Gesundheit
AriehnV: Gallie divisa est in tres partes ...
VardaValar1: hehe
ArPharazonV: what's Russian for Russia?
VardaValar1: Yay Latin
VardaValar1: I feel so uneducated. : )
AriehnV: ruski slowbrowenski ?
AriehnV: *no idea just joking ;-)]
VardaValar1: We do have Russian friends, some who translated a bunch of our stories
ArPharazonV: see? calling nations by their native names isn't that easy ;-)
VardaValar1: Only because we are unfamiliar with them.
VardaValar1: So, will you be posting, Phar?
VardaValar1: I need to work on the Valar site and some of my own writing
VardaValar1: Oh, also
VardaValar1: Arveleg has almost completed the Timeline project
VardaValar1: He is using the site to keep busy this summer : )
VardaValar1: He used the War of the Jewels and a lot of other good spots to help it
ArPharazonV: I'll be posting, sure, but not sure if I'll do it today
VardaValar1: Sure, today is good. : )
ArPharazonV: read better :-)
VardaValar1: I had hoped that we could get together in after-meeting on most Sundays and rp one after the other
ArPharazonV: oh, that's cool, but posts I make tend to take a while to make
AriehnV: but you know how roleplayers and writers work , Varda , neither of them cant really do their job if they dont feel like t
VardaValar1: Yes they can.
AriehnV: can , i mean
VardaValar1: It's called self-discipline.
AriehnV: maybe they can but the result is not really satisfyinhg
VardaValar1: One pushes oneself into the zone.
VardaValar1: If writing is a job with a deadline, just try to tell the client or editor that you didn't feel like it. ; )
Glorfindel VG has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Glorfindel
VardaValar1: We were just about to call it a night : )
VardaValar1: Good to see you.
Glorfindel VG: =-O
VardaValar1: hehe
VardaValar1: Nice shocked emote
Glorfindel VG: hehe
AriehnV: hehe thats why i am glad that i am not doing that as a profession with dedlines alas , i d rather go to a publisher when i have got a bunch of stories i am really hyappy with
Glorfindel VG: what was the topic then
VardaValar1: We started with converting book sections to movies and tangented from there. : )
Glorfindel VG: what time should i come varda
Glorfindel VG: i seem to always come too early or too late
VardaValar1: Ended up with Gandalf walking among us and Arien looking down at the world
VardaValar1: Meeting starts at 5pm EDT and has for a long time. : )
AriehnV: quite a loop i must say ;-)
VardaValar1: If you don't remember, we have it listed on the News page
VardaValar1: If business is short, we go into Tolkien earlier.
VardaValar1: Also about people's viewpoints who lived really long lives
Glorfindel VG: yeah, i did know it
VardaValar1: Elrond, Galadriel, Glorfindel with that odd break in there
VardaValar1: You are trying to arrive for Tolkien, not scheduled
Glorfindel VG: yeah
VardaValar1: We used to have two regularly scheduled Tolkien chats, outside the meeting
VardaValar1: But that was when more people would show up and participate : )
ArPharazonV: what times would those be? ;-)
VardaValar1: Glorfindel would have had a 4really strange viewpoint
VardaValar1: Beren, then Tulkas, used to lead them Tues and Thurs, Phar
VardaValar1: They lasted one hour and then he shut it down promptly
VardaValar1: None of this rambling mess : )
ArPharazonV: heh
ArPharazonV: sounds rather formal
VardaValar1: But really, think about Glorfindel
VardaValar1: He died when Gondolin had just been destroyed
VardaValar1: Then he came back when?
VardaValar1: Apparently to help Elrond, who needed an army commander
ArPharazonV: did he come back in time for the Last Alliance, or later?
VardaValar1: Glorfindel, do you happen to know?
VardaValar1: Pardon, afk short time
VardaValar1: back
VardaValar1: heh, big discussion whilst I was out : )
AriehnV: ok then friends i will retire for the noo .. it is getting a bit late
VardaValar1: Was Glorfindel present at Eregion?
VardaValar1: Ok, good night to you, starshine : )
ArPharazonV: Namarie, Arien!
ArPharazonV: Keep looking out for us from above!
AriehnV: sunshine , daybringer :-D
VardaValar1: : )
AriehnV: will do , Phara , i ll see the gold glitter in your halls
VardaValar1: I guess we lost most of the group, just you and me Phar?
AriehnV: Namarie
AriehnV has left the room.
Fladrifv: *raises a branch*
ArPharazonV: hey mr Ent!
VardaValar1: Hail, ent : )
Fladrifv: sorry we grow treeish lately as you might have noticed
ArPharazonV: *tries to chop off the branch and make it into a ship*
VardaValar1: It happens
Fladrifv: from now on it is arphara the wood chopper
VardaValar1: Luckily ents can pull a branch back and give the chopper a heart attack.
VardaValar1: Maybe step on the luckless one.
Fladrifv: *looks down and wonders what that little human tries to do*
ArPharazonV: *sticks a sword in Fladrif and runs*
ArPharazonV: it's alive! aliiiive!
Fladrifv: *shakes his head* atleast it didnt look like that saruman alikes
VardaValar1: Varda hears this and passes it on to Yavanna, who laughs.
Fladrifv: Stop you walking! one what are you doing out here?
ArPharazonV: *hides in a forgotten cave*
VardaValar1: Nice hatch-cover for this hole in the ground. hmmm.
Fladrifv: *thinks of this suspicious actions seen* maybe I should investigate this and do a call upon the treeish ones to look out for strangers
VardaValar1: A huorn guard on the borders, perhaps?
Fladrifv: *nod*
ArPharazonV: I'll just sit here for a while then... my army should be here soon enough
Fladrifv: they dislike choppers of trees
Fladrifv: noone will suspect the evilness of a bunch of trees you foolish one
ArPharazonV: I told em to join me here and bring their hatchets
Fladrifv: and how did you comunicate this to them?
ArPharazonV: we're gonna cut you all down to build a fleet so great it looks like a forest of masts
ArPharazonV: oh, I told them to meet me here before I went in myself
ArPharazonV: what wood could I possibly chop on my own?
Fladrifv: even in this forgotten cave?
ArPharazonV: I told them to join me before I went into the forest
Fladrifv: but how will the find you?
VardaValar1: So we close this hatch cover...
ArPharazonV: after they were done pillaging some villages inhabited by the servants of Sauron
VardaValar1: and let the huorns worry the ones coming up.
Fladrifv: *nod*
ArPharazonV: hm? oh, I'll just wait until they've cut everything down and join them when they reach the hatch cover
Fladrifv: *closes the cave with his feet*
VardaValar1: hehe
ArPharazonV: *chops at Fladrif's feet and runs back in before the tree can follow*
VardaValar1: Hatch cover was in your way.
ArPharazonV: hmm, good point
Fladrifv: due that it was so dark you would miss anyway *smile*
VardaValar1: Details, always details.
VardaValar1: True, Arien already left.
ArPharazonV: then I'll just wait until my army chops you down
ArPharazonV: they can't be stopped, they're the army of Numenor!
VardaValar1: Eru, hear that? : )
VardaValar1: Not quite fair having a Valie in the room
ArPharazonV: they have been ordered to chop down any tree at medium size or greater, and not leave until they find me...
ArPharazonV: you'll have to kill em before you can kill me!
VardaValar1: You are already stuck in a cave. No worries.
Fladrifv: a long life entrapment suits me fine
Fladrifv: you live shortly anyway
VardaValar1: Beats having you bother Mandos early.
ArPharazonV: I wonder what food grows here in this cave..
ArPharazonV: mushrooms?
Fladrifv: a small underground river
Fladrifv: fish
Glorfindel VG: mims bread
ArPharazonV: an underground river, you say?
ArPharazonV: what happens if I follow it?
Fladrifv: youll end up in a whirl wind into the depths of the earth
ArPharazonV: neat, maybe I can find another exit somewhere
Fladrifv: in the mean while catches fladrif a report that indeed the armys of numenor are on the border
ArPharazonV: hmm... an abandoned Dwarf pickaxe... maybe I'm getting closer to Moria...
ArPharazonV: while my army takes their hatchets and starts chopping down at the borders of Fangorn!
Fladrifv: The king and his belief will end up very dissapointed next to a dwarven skellet long time ago escaped into the same cave
ArPharazonV: in the shadows I find a deep tunnel obviously created by the Dwarf and his pickaxe... he didn't make it out, but maybe I can finish his work
Fladrifv: I wonder what the little creeping thing is doing in this cave
ArPharazonV: Gollum Gollum...
Fladrifv: hope he will not atackme with magic or flames
ArPharazonV: my army is getting worried about me and stops chopping, instead travelling deeper within the forest looking for my trail
Fladrifv: one by one people dissapear into the dark night out of this mighty arme
Fladrifv: y
ArPharazonV: while I start on the long long task of digging my way out with the pickaxe, eating the fish and dirnking the water...
ArPharazonV: drinking
Fladrifv: your army is getting aware of the missing men
ArPharazonV: they start to get scared... but they are willing to give their lives for their great King!
Fladrifv: ths is what the king hopes to atleast
Fladrifv: the truth is that the 20 that are left manage to flee away from the borders of fangorn
VardaValar1: Might be safer to check out another village to do the other bidding of the great king.
ArPharazonV: I have an army of thousands! How can but 20 be left...
ArPharazonV: Fine... the 20 are crafty, they get together and steal one of Sauron's catapults
Fladrifv: huorns went a little out of controll....even I have not full controll of them
ArPharazonV: and start shooting at the borders of Fangorn with large rocks and pieces of wood already chopped
ArPharazonV: when it avails not, they shoot a flaming piece of wood at Fangorn and delight in the forestfire it starts...
ArPharazonV: the wood may not be useable for shipbuilding anymore, but they might be able to save their king
Fladrifv: a sudden heavy rain drops from the sky as a gift from heaven
ArPharazonV: which gets caught in the mighty branches and leaves at the top of the trees, leaving the weaker lower parts vulnerable to fire...
VardaValar1: *Ulmo and Manwe smile*
ArPharazonV: protected from the rain by the trees themselves, the fire continues to spread
VardaValar1: The very heavy rain continues, so that it reaches the forest floor.
Fladrifv: casualtys are heavy under the huorns
ArPharazonV: water starts to flow into the cave...
Fladrifv: by seeing their brothers die they atack the 20 men from the sides
Fladrifv: nothing they notice untill they are next to a forest
ArPharazonV: while I pile rock upon rock to form a dam, hoping to increase the pressure between the dam and the hatch enough to blow it open
VardaValar1: Try not to drown, Phar.
ArPharazonV: oh, I'm standing on the other side of the dam, I'll cut my way through with the pickaxe after I hear the explosion of water
ArPharazonV: the dam starts to tremble, I'm starting to fear it's the dam that will break instead of the hatch..
ArPharazonV: and as my army flees farther away from the forest that has approached them, the dam breaks, catching me in the flow...
Fladrifv: as a coward as fladrif is he runs up the hills
ArPharazonV: and washing me through a long complex of tunnels, eventually throwing me out an exit at the eastern edge of Fangorn and into the Entwash river
ArPharazonV: I lose consciousness, and when I wake up I'm washed up on a riverbank within the great mouth of Entwash
VardaValar1: A few inches taller. : )
ArPharazonV: stumbling in the western direction I find 6 survivors of my army, they bear the tale of how their 14 companions were slain and the rest missing
ArPharazonV: we decide to leave the woods for what they are, join with the main force back at Umbar...
ArPharazonV: I decide to erase this event from the reports and march closer to Mordor
ArPharazonV: where eventually Sauron humbles himself before me and I take him to Numenor...
ArPharazonV: nothing can go wrong now!
VardaValar1: lol
VardaValar1: Great ending, Phar!
Fladrifv: the forst of fangorn returns to rest once again
ArPharazonV: before I leave the shores of Middle-earth I place a curse on the forest of Fangorn...
ArPharazonV: that its greatest danger will come from a tower built by the descendants of my people
VardaValar1: Good fun rp guys
Fladrifv: *bows*
VardaValar1: Sleep well. : )
ArPharazonV: Namarie, lady of the Stars
ArPharazonV: Flad, you still up for a game of warcraft 3?
Fladrifv: no no its off limits
Fladrifv: 1 oclock
ArPharazonV: hmm... ok
Fladrifv: I work whole week
Fladrifv: you cant say that of all of us can we :P
ArPharazonV: allright, have.. fun?
VardaValar1: Namarie : )
Fladrifv: Namarie all
ArPharazonV: Namarie!
VardaValar1 has left the room.
Fladrifv has left the room.
ArPharazonV: allright, I'll save and send
Eonwe Valar has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: Heya all.
ArPharazonV: Heya!
Eonwe Valar: Assuming there's anyone still here :}
ArPharazonV: You missed the meeting... by a long shot
ArPharazonV: Varda has already departed
Eonwe Valar: Aye. Made it to the movies this week.
Eonwe Valar: I assume I missed the chance to announce the new WoW expansion then.
ArPharazonV: gah, how did I forget to mention that...
ArPharazonV: well, I had already saved, but I can save once more
ArPharazonV: it is not sent yet
Eonwe Valar: Ok, then here's the info:
Eonwe Valar: Name: Wrath of the Witch-King
Eonwe Valar: New Profession: Inscriptions: enhances spells and abilities.
Eonwe Valar: First Hero Class: Death Knight. Does not replace any of your current characters.
Eonwe Valar: New hairstyles and dances will be available to new and old characters.
Eonwe Valar: Er, correction. That's Wrath of the Lich-King, but I'm sure you see how I could make that typo.
ArPharazonV: haha
Eonwe Valar: Level cap raised to 80.
Eonwe Valar: New continent: Northrend.
Eonwe Valar: Supposed to add about as much content/land mass as Outland did.
Eonwe Valar: Think those are the important highlights.
ArPharazonV: hmm... pretty much, yeah
ArPharazonV: allright, I'll save
Eonwe Valar: Just for fun: WotLK looks alot like and has the exact same number of syllables and letters in its acronym as RotWK
ArPharazonV: coincidence? you think not? :-)
Eonwe Valar: Well, both seem to wield necromantic powers,... :}
Eonwe Valar: They both have imposing helms :}
ArPharazonV: both originally human but becoming so much more...
Eonwe Valar: In RotWK, EA portrays Angmar as a fairly cold realm.
ArPharazonV: also true :-)
ArPharazonV: and supported by a dragon!
ArPharazonV: though in WotLK that dragon is technically already defeated in Naxxramas...
Eonwe Valar: One woulkd think the Lich King would be busy figuring out a better invasion strategy for a bit longer than a year.
Eonwe Valar: Lull the Alliance and Horde into a false sense of security, thinking Azeroth was a safe zone, but nope, guess he's going to hit while they're doing battle with his former masters, weaking their efforts to fight the Burning Legion an
Eonwe Valar: *weaking = weakening
Eonwe Valar: *Burning Legion and Illidan
ArPharazonV: actually, from the looks of it, the war in Outland was pretty much over, Illidan defeated... the Lich King was too late ;-)
Eonwe Valar: hehe
ArPharazonV: just as he makes his move both Horde and Alliance are ready to make a counterstrike into Northrend
Eonwe Valar: Bad timing on his part.
ArPharazonV: pretty much
Eonwe Valar: Oh well, maybe the Argent Dawn will play a larger part in Northrend. As a Pally, they're my favorite NPC faction.
ArPharazonV: hehe
ArPharazonV: I prefer the Cenarion Circle and Expedition but they've already had their fame in Ahn'Qiraj and Serpentshrine Cavern...
Eonwe Valar: The place should be packed with undead, but it probably won't be, at least not any more than Outland is packed with demons.
ArPharazonV: I'm glad the Tuskarr are back, just too bad they're allied with Horde now
Eonwe Valar: Tuskarr. pig guys?
ArPharazonV: walrus
Eonwe Valar: Walrus, ok.
Eonwe Valar: Been a whil;e.
ArPharazonV: allright, saving for real now!
